I needed a new pair of glasses as my old ones weren't strong enough. I have a heavy prescription so I needed help choosing a frame that would hide the thickness of my lenses. The ladies at the store were very helpful and gave me the guidance I needed when choosing a pair of specs that would look nice on me. When the glasses came exactly a week later, the optician fitted them for me and they were great! I was really fortunate to have landed a 60% off sale. Usually, the thinning of my lenses is more expensive than what I paid for the frames, lenses, and thinning of my new pair of glasses at Hakim Optical Halifax Shopping Centre. Good price, good service, nice selection, nice location: I would recommend.

I went in to the Halifax shopping centre location to purchase 2 new pairs of glasses. When i walked in they were not busy and able to assist me right away but spent 10 mins looking for my perscription. My perscription was suppose to still be on file due to the fact i puchased glasses 15 months prior at there bayerslake location and i offered my glasses for them to try to find a way to figure it out and still no luck.once i explained that my eyes were tested in the mall at another optical provider and i could easily just go back there ironically my perscription was found immediately. After that i offered my insurance card for them to contaxt my health insurance provider to check my benefits and eligibility which they refused explaining they do not do that and they cant. At this point i asked again to confirm then left the location as they refused over and over. The previous year they had no problems calling to find out my benefit and was happy to do, besides being a health insurance CSR i take calls from providers all over cananda for the same information i was shocked and insulted with the worst customer service i have ever had for an health provider. Different employees work in bayerslake so i hope i recieve actual customer service there but will never go to halifax shoping centre again !!!!!!

People there were very nice. They have a huge collection which was great for me because I actually found a sunglasses for my small face. They do prescription sunglasses and everything, good quality stuff for a very reasonable price. I definatley recommend to try them. Good job!

A very good selection of frames at this location. Jodi and Deborah were extremely helpful with selecting frames for my wife and myself. All staff were patient and friendly.
