My family and I have been going there for 11 years and my experience has always been 100% positive. Even on busy Saturdays, they always have someone available to assist us in choosing a frame, and their staff has been consistently friendly and down to earth with all of us. They're very fast in delivering your prescription glasses too! I'm in fact very surprised they have somewhat mixed reviews on here. I guess when someone gives a business a low OVERALL score simply because they didn't clean the glasses as desired speaks volumes of the lack of credibility of that person. I mean, this is something that I'm sure could've easily be rectified with Mark and his staff. That's like giving a restaurant a bad review because one fork was missing at a table of 8.

I had such an amazing experience at Amar Optical. Linda was a fantastic help who was supportive, and honest. I walked in, not wanting glasses at all and after a couple of minutes with Linda, I became excited for my Eye Exam which was scheduled within 2 days. I went in for my eye exam and the Doctor was great. From there I met the owner who assisted me for about an hour and was really supportive with how picky I was. I made a choice on Saturday and my glasses were ready by Tuesday. Now that is service! I am so happy with my experience. Way to go Amar Optical!

The best place for glasses! I have been going here with my family for the past 12 years, even after we moved out of Mississauga for our optical needs. The team is excellent, both very knowledgeable and have excellent taste in helping you decide on an important piece of fashion that you would wear on your face everyday. They have a great selection of glasses and carry pretty much every brand including top of the range designers. Luke, Mark and the ladies are all great to work with. Prices are very good too! Highly recommend!

This optical shop is excellent. Both service and glasses. They also do the eyes exam. People there are so kind and price is reasonable as well. Accordingly, there are always so many customers wait there. Always full of the people like a popular restaurant rather than a optical shop. All in all, l highly recommend this shop.

My family has been going to Amar Optical for years. Unfortunately, it seems that we will be switching to another optician, as our last few experiences in store have been extremely disappointing. Over our last few visits, we have not been acknowledged by the staff until we asked for help numerous times. We have politely requested assistance from Mark with choosing frames or other general inquiries about our glasses, only to be met with indifference and to be rudely brushed off. We understand that things get busy, however we have spent unreasonable amounts of time waiting around for Mark's help (after directly asking him and being told to wait), only to be completely ignored or to be treated like a nuisance, when he finally does acknowledge us. It seems that he is unconcerned with customer service and even more unconcerned with politeness. Based on these reviews, it seems that we are not alone in this experience. We are very disheartened by this, as they do good work. However, we will be taking our business elsewhere.

I am giving 1 star only because of that nice girl that works there. Today I have been profiled by the owner or manager of this store. It was utterly humiliating. He had the audacity to usher me towards the cheaper brands because "those on that wall are made by jewelry brands". What gave me away? My work clothes? Tired expression after long day at work? Apparently I was not "of a type" that would wear #Versace or #Prada. Very poor customer skills. You shouldn't be concerned about my spending habits.

My family got our glasses from this place and everything was okay. However when I got my new glasses there was a crack in the middle, so one of the clerks said they'll exchange them for free. When I came back to pick up my new glasses, there was another clerk that had the audacity to say I was the one that caused the crack and I was looking for new glasses for free. He then tried to charge me for the replacement. I informed him there was a note confirming that I received the glasses with the crack, but he constantly denied and told me I damaged them. I am very very disappointed with how much attitude he was giving me. Not very good customer service.

The owner is very rude and very mean person who speak to loud almost shouting on me.I bought branded frame Nano and glasses for my son for 250$Or 300$ in March and after4 months the arms are felling off and the rubber were getting fade. I went to shop that I want extra arms of frame the man gave me and estimated of 100$ on call after 2 day and left a voicemail. I called them and ask him to give a little discount he said you can come to shop I will give you discount. I was not able to went on Thursday.Today I went there the person was not there who spoke with me on call and he wrote a note of 85$ under my son’s name I asked the lady can she give little more or I will come tomorrow and speak to that person who spoke to me on call, the lady said you can talk to owner if he will give you discount. She went and ask him the owner came and said there is no discount directly I didn’t even ask him for more he saw the frame and said it’s loose and tight it a little.I tried to explain him that the arms fells off so all of sudden he was so rude and shouted at me and said “Don’t buy these frame ever again buy something else”. I was looking at him the way he was talking to me I was shocked at his behavior and he said that your son is showing and taking out your frame and showing it to everyone and breaking his frame. Is this an appropriate way to talk? Is he living in my home? Who the hell is he to saying that Don’t Ever Buy It? I just said his optometrist recommended it and you can search it on google for kids it’s best frame because kids play and run the glasses and frame is plastic it won’t break. He said everything in this world can break glass , my car glass your son glasses do you want me to show you how to break it with hammer. I replied him I am talking about my son’s frame and glasses I stretched it showed him it’s is not breaking and for hammer my son never break it and if you want to show me how to break it with hammer give me new pair. Is this the way to behave he was too mean and very rude. If you want to buy an expensive frame or glass think before you go because it can happen to you as well. I am giving one star for staff rather than that I will never ever give a star.
