Alex Optical is really great. I fell on my bike about a week ago and broke my favourite pair of glasses. I had purchased the glasses recently, from a store downtown. I was not going to be able to travel there to get them repaired and I am a student and unable to afford another pair. I went to LensCrafters first, but they said they could not/would not fix them, without even taking a look at the damage. The arm had broke off and one of the lens' was scratched but they insisted I needed to purchase a new pair. I went to Alex Optical and they took them from me, inspected them, and said they were not able to repair them back to perfect but they could glue the arm back on, ensuring they would stay on my face but the arm would never again close. I was okay with that and they proceeded to measure and check to change the broken lens. They were so kind and helpful I can't even put it into words. After only 3 days I got a call they were ready. I would highly, highly recommend giving your patronage to Alex Optical, they are knowledgeable, helpful, and very kind. I have been wearing/buying glasses for over 12 years and I have never been to a better eyewear store. Don't waste your time at the big chain stores like Lenscrafters, at the end of the day they just see you as a dollar sign. Alex Optical sees you as a person and respects you as such.

The staffs are super helpful and also quite funny. We had a good time selecting our frames. There weren't a lot of them like the big optical stores in malls have, but whatever they have are good. Price was reasonable as well. I was able to buy a Ray-Ban and that too under the insured amount. I would definitely recommend to check it out if anyone hasn't already. Can't wait to try new frames ????.

You'd never know from the outside that this is a beautiful optical shop. Inside is very clean and elegant. The staff are friendly, especially Ingrid (I think that's her name). She's very helpful, always smiles and extremely polite. The prices are rock bottom. Before I knew about Alex's Optical, I called Hakim Optical (the one on hurontario/dundas) for a quote. The girl was rude on the phone and could not tell me approximately how much it would cost to get my daughter's prescription filled even though I offered to give her all the info off the prescription itself. When I called Alex, the girl on the phone gave me a quote no problem. Now, that's great customer service! I'd recommend Alex's optical any time of the day. On a scale of 1 to 10, I rate Alex's 11 !!!

You will not know how good they are until you try different place. I did and I regret it. More importantly, Willy Chu is more than a Optician as his after-sales service is one of the best anyone can find. His rapport with customers is more like your next door neighbour than business. My entire family has been going to Alex Optical for over 20 years. Supporting a family run, local business is important and there's a reason they have been around for a very long time. They offer exceptional customer service and the best prices which they will take the time to source for you. Their store isn't very big so if you don't see something you like, but find a pair, even a designer brand, at another location that you like, they will source it and find the best price for you.

After getting very expensive pricing from my optometrist/optician and two week delivery for my choice of lenses, I Googled for alternatives and visited Alex Opticians due to the positive reviews. Well, I can say Alex Opticians was better than excellent. The staff was excellent on helping choose frames for me ( for high index lenses). They measured my eyes multiple times to ensure it was correct. Pricing was substantially cheaper for exactly the same brand lenses. I got my glasses in two days and they took a lot of time to get the fitting as perfect as possible by their standards which were much higher than mine.. I will be back. This is the way a business should be run.

I've been coming to Alex Optical for more than a decade and this is the best place to get glasses/contact lenses in Mississauga. It's family run and it appears the owner's sons are taking over the business as the owners are partly retired. Happy to say they have not missed a beat! This will be my fifth/sixth pair of glasses in 12 years and I have always enjoyed getting a deal here for designer frames at very fair prices.
