I have been coming here for more than a decade with my family to pick up contact lenses, eyeglasses, and sunglasses throughout the year. The owner, Alex, is always friendly and a pleasure to do business with. Even if you do not find the pair of glasses you love inside the shop, they will always be able to order you anything you've seen outside, but generally at a better price than other shops. It does get busy especially on the weekends, so be patient if you've stopped in and the staff are assisting other clients. Everyone gets a personalized experience, so it's worth the wait!

And if you need a tennis or badminton racquet, then you are in luck because Alex is a "certified" racquet stringer. Too bad that the Sam Woo restaurant changed hands.....I used to always get some BBQ pork and other foods after visiting here. A++ experience all the way here.

May I say these people are on a level of friendliness and professionalism like no other. I booked and appointment for 5:45pm but was in the area quite early. I asked if I can come in. They called the doctor to do my eye exam and he arrived in 10 minutes. The whole process was hassle free and best of all I paid half of what the others where asking.

I had to change my review.. unfortunately Alex the owner got too busy and if you are not Asian he will not attend to you.. I regret to say that I will be shopping elsewhere but here. Upon arrival, you are made to wait and the other customer service representatives will just try to brush you off. I understand you have to take care of the customers who are already in store but limiting us to only one section of eyeglasses because it's more convenient for you won't work. Alex (the owner) has been serving my family for about 20 years and 17 years for myself personally ever since I got my 1st prescription glasses at 8 years old. We've been loyal customers (and ongoing) for a very long time now. Advanced Opticians has always been a very friendly, welcoming, clean and professional environment to go to. Whether it's fixing/adjusting my broken lenses' from an accident; the 'arms' of my glasses; getting new glasses, sunglasses or contacts, Alex is my go-to optician. What I also love about Advanced Opticians is that they have a lot more of a variety of glasses for those of Asian descent compared to 'Western' eye optician businesses' (i.e. Hakim Optical). And what I mean by this and for someone who is of Asian decent is that most of us biologically have a lack of or smaller nose bridge. Therefore, it can be very hard to find glasses that won't slide off from our nose or without it looking awkward on our face in general. Overall, Alex always takes the time to get to know his clients' eye glasses needs and ensure they leave feeling satisfied with their purchase/eye glasses adjustment (I'd highly recommend seeing Alex!). ????

Alex and his staff takes their time to help customers find the right eyeglasses no matter how busy the store is. You can get brand name glasses for reasonable price. I wasted lots of $$$ buying unbranded pairs for way higher prices from other opticians but for last four years I am happy to get branded pair with high quality lenses from here. They are more than happy to help during the year when I need some adjustments.

I will never return to this store again. It was my first and last time. Do yourself a favour and avoid it, too. The Optician dropped my new eyeglasses and when I said I saw him drop them he said I'm sorry, then when I told him in all the years I have wore glasses I have never dropped them. He then raised his voice (and the little shop had several people in it). He kept saying I'm sorry, I'm sorry, as he continued to raise his voice. I was embarrassed by the way he behaved. When I tried on my new eyeglasses I noticed a mark on my lens that was not there before. (He had replaced my lenses into new frames). When I mentioned the mark to him, he said the coating had come off the lens. He blamed it on my lenses being old. I can tell you, that mark was not there before and it is directly where he would have installed the lenses. He argued with me that it was there before but it wasn't. Unfortunately, there is no head office that l can complain to.
