The lack of service of this place it is just outstanding. I want it to buy glasses for my mother after she did there the eye exam. She tried the frames and color she wanted but we didn't order the glasses there because that would be a gift for her birthday. My wife went there later to order te glasses and they told her that due the covid ahe can't get into the shop without an appointment...she explained the girl that she knows exactly what she had to order and still they gave her an appointment for the next Monday. I came here at noon for the appointment to order the frames and even with the appointment the lady didn't get me.into the shop to see the frames and also told me( after my wife explained all the situation) that if I want to order the glasses for.my mother then she has to come with me...( she already tried the frames and were fine) Thanks for all this waste of time Hakim Will never come back....btw the lady of the eye exam was great.

Thought I was going to be happy with my almost 500$ purchase. Went here over pearle vision and lenscrafters. Upset I did now. My glasses came in and now I'm being forced to make an appointment instead of them just letting me get them when I have a moment. I work 7 days a week. This is very inconvenient. They won't give me my damn money back so its being forced upon my husband. The selection wasn't the best either. Not happy. Stay away from here!

I had an appointment at 1030 at st vital center location, and I showed up ten minutes before. No lights were on or nothing. So I went online to see when they were open and it said 11. So I went to the food court and grabbed a coffee and was waiting for my appointment that I assumed was 11 30. At about 10 35 I got a call from there receptionist full of attitude telling me they wouldn't take me. But they had a cancelled appoint a bit later they can squeeze me into. I was really unimpressed by this situation and thought I'd leave a review.

I wished i had looked at the review before I wasted my time. I would give a zero if I can. Oh my God! I don’t even know where to start. Such a bad service and not accommodating at all. They don’t seem to know what they are doing with the booking. Said first my 10 years was cheaper and when I came in was ask to pay full price for him. They ending up saying that they can only have one of us for consultation as they don’t have time anymore. Was send home with my 2 week old baby.

Terrible, I went here with my family and we picked out glasses and we were given one price with our prescription then when we went to do the checkout they started raising the prices on the glasses... wasted my time here, I went to another Hakim location and basically got everything done in a quarter of the time and they actually gave me the right prices.

I just purchased two pair of glasses. I usually shop at Lens Crafters but I saw a pair of frames I liked at Hakim. When they were done, one pair was fine but not the other pair. The vision in one eye was off. They were really uncomfortable on my nose and the lenses were thick and bulging way out of the frames. I had asked if the lenses sticking out of the frames would be an issue with the metal frames before I bought them and was assured that it would be barely noticeable. So not true. When I returned to the store with these issues they exchanged the nose pads and adjusted the frames saying that would solve the vision issue. It was better but still not as clear as my other glasses with the same prescription. I told him that I'll never wear them as they still weren't right at all. I asked if they could at least give me a discount on a new pair. I wasn't asking for a refund, just some consideration so that I could at least get a pair that I would be happy with. He said they should have told me when I bought them that I'd better like them as there's no exchange or refund. I didn't realize that meant even if you cant wear them! I told him they'd likely end up in the garbage so it looks like I've wasted several hundred dollars. He said there's nothing they would do. Such a completely different attitude from Lens Crafters who have a great policy of satisfaction guaranteed and they stand by it. I know where I'll be eyeglass shopping from now on!

Worse service to no service. Never again!! Made an appointment but still had to wait outside when there’s 3 employees standing around with only 1 customer inside. They don’t sanitize the glasses either, quite disgusting when we saw some glasses with oily finger prints. One of the staff was quite rude and seem like she didn’t want to be there. Overall a horrible experience and worse Hakim store in the city.

Very rude staff, even they don't know, how to deal with customer. They guess, they run aircraft factory not a lens shop. Higher management should take action like these type of staff.

Attention management/potential purchasers. I had been dealing the St Vital Hakim store since 2013 and the experience was great because there was no problems. I had gone to have a pair of my older glasses and the cost was two times greater than the normal sale! I tried to book an appoint and I was told rudely that I did need to book an appointment. Sadly I felt that I was not welcomed at their store. Good luck Hakim Optical!

I went to Hakim several years ago when they were on Meadowood Dr, excellent service. We moved away from Winnipeg. For eye testing and our glasses we still come back to good service and hospitality. A longer drive means nothing when you have good service. Keep up the good work

My family and I were recently in for our routine exam. This was our first time at Hakim Optical and during Covid times, I was a little hesitant how it would go. Especially with my two young children that want to touch everything. The staff at Hakim were so patient and friendly. The manager was very courteous despite dealing with other customers they made us feel very welcomed and help fit all three of us with the perfect pair of glasses. They were prepared and ready for pick up quick too! We will be back. Thanks Hakim! :)

My experience working at Hakim Optical has been nothing but great. The district manager was superb and great, the fellow staff was awesome and most of the store managers were awesome. I could not believe how of a child the St.Vital manager is. The work atmosphere is degrading as there is no room for failure, especially when asking the simplest of questions (in my case, every question was a stupid question to her). I had such a good training crew at all the locations but as soon as I was placed here, it became a nerve wrecking moment where I did not feel excited to come to work. She created such a persona for intimidation and a fear culture environment for me were no one really stood up to her. I had guarded myself against her being so intimidatingly rude that last talk I had with her and I decided that if I could not have a civil and adult talk with her without being bashed again, I made my choice.

Went for an eye exam everyone was okay but the eye doctor was just Miserable. The lens would always fog up because of the dumb mask, and she definitely made me feel like I was a huge inconvenience. And because I had just a weak Prescription that I had just wasted her time.

I recently visited the eye doctor, purchased glasses and was fitted for contacts ai the St Vital Hakim. The staff were exceptional. Experienced, efficient and friendly. My 89 year old mother came with me and the staff treated her with such kindness. Her glasses were not fitting properly and they went out of there way to accommodate her. This was by far the best eye glass experience I have had. Highly recommend the store and staff.

It was a very good experience to purchase the glasses. But when something goes wrong with the frame, the sales guy have very weird attitude. The legs of my glasses are made from rubber which is high possible worn out. I went there for repair, the guy asked me to make an appointment. And then during my appointment, he said he couldn't do anything with the aged rubber. Also doubt it's not the original parts. So upset and disappointed. Until I emphasized the glasses was still in the warranty, he realized that he could change the frame. One week later, the other sale changed it, I was forced to be formed that it will cost money next time to repair. I'm so surprised about their attitude. It's manufacturing defect. I also wish not to use the warranty. Please treat your customers as customers. Hakim has good policy to customer, but need to train their sales more professional.
