Don't expect value or decent service. Went there with a prescription and found the staff painfully inefficient . After wasting a frustrating 30 minutes here I gave up and had the prescription filled at Walmart in 10 minutes at a tad less than half price.

Walked in to look at glasses and received no service. I was probably there for a good 10 minutes before I walked out. There were two employees there not dealing with any other customer as I was the only in the store. Horrible service. Not sure how this place is still open.

Looking for a new home to purchase my glasses. I did not have an appointment, however, Michael invited me in. I explained the reason I was there and I was treated with the utmost respect. After looking around for a while, I found 7 frames that I loved. Narrowed it down to 3. I made the decision to make this my new home for my glasses. Kristen, the manager was so helpful. They treated me like a family member and not a client. Thank you for making my task so easy. I would highly recommend going to this location on Pembina because of Michael and Kristen.

Had my eyes checked there and then found a frame I really like and proceeded to order them in my prescription. It took a reasonable time to get them but once I got them they were way off. There were a couple measurements that weren't taken initially causing me to wait longer. The hours that their optician is in didn't work for me (since it's only a few hours per day) since I'm in spring courses and work, so I had to wait two weeks until I could go back and get "adjustments". These "adjustments" were the optician telling me to basically suck it up OR wait even longer while they go through a list of potential problems. I asked for a refund which they were okay with, but they need to call a regional manager first which will take even longer. All together I've been dealing with Hakim for almost a month now. By far the worst experience I've ever had buying glasses. UPDATE** Just got a call from Hakim, all they can do is store credit and not give me a refund. Horribly unimpressed with the way these people deal with customers.

This is a cool little place for glasses tucked around the side of the Rexall. If it weren't for the sign, you might not even know it was there. When you enter, its bigger than you might think. People are friendly, and good selection of frames.

Great service from start to finish. After my eye exam - the staff were ready and willing to assist me in finding a couple new pairs of glasses. Found a great pair of sunglasses that could be used with my prescription, along with a regular pair for indoors. Would recommend this store.

I had forgot my glasses at home about 500 km away and was in dire need of new glasses to be able to see while I drive at night. I walked in, and Leslie immediately greeted me and began helping pick out some frames. Once I had them picked out, Carly immediately helped get the lenses fitted into the frames. I felt bad for being in a bit of a rush but they were so accommodating and helpful!! Before I had my claim submitted my glasses were complete. If you need affordable frames and lenses come here! Great service and great selection.

One pair of eyeglasses and one pair of sunglasses broken within the first 2 years. The eyeglasses were rarely used as I had other glasses and never before have any of my glasses broken. When I took the sunglasses into the store I was told they could not be repaired and I needed new ones. I took the glasses to Pearle Vision and they fixed them. Never again will I buy from Hakim.

It really sucks!!!!!!!! The staff, especially the one speaking mandarin, will not show respect to their customers but just roll their eyes when you ask questions about your eyes!!

Once the Hakim team had my payment I couldn't get any information on my prescription sunglasses, when I called the first time the man that answered the phone was abrupt and rude saying they weren't there even though he didn't check and said they would be between 10 and 14 days even though I called on the 10th day. I finally called again on the 14th day the lady that answered the phone said that they've been trying to call me but my phone has been busy, which is a lie, I gave them my personal number because that phone is only used for family emergencies. Once I did pick up my sunglasses I asked for a cleaning cloth which I was also denied saying they have none in stock. I would give these people one star for the customer service I've received from them on this pair of sunglasses but the people that work there before these people were better.
