For over 5 years, my wife and me are seeking optometrists at this location, and we're using Lenscrafters at Fariview Mall for prescription glasses (2 pairs of glasses for each of us). Today, my wife went into the store to try some sunglasses in order to be able to have an idea what she should go with and after a few minutes of waiting at the door (there is a sign that says to wait at the door until you are welcomed) she was greeted by one of the associates that asked if she has a prescription. My wife says that she does not have one for now, she just wants to come in to see and try a few pairs of glasses. She felt unwelcomed, and she asked permission to try something. She took a few minutes, she tried 2 sunglasses and put them on a tray (as she was instructed to). After she asked one of the associates where she can return the tray safely, the associate commented, "o, this is why you came here for?". We are returning customers to this location, but we're looking to take our business somewhere else because this is not the first time we feel like this.

Yesterday I walked into the location in Willowbrook Mall and was greeted by one of the sales people there. I recently had corrective eye surgery and had a pair of Rayban prescription sunglasses and needed non-prescription lenses for them. I was told that they could not get the lenses for me and I would have to either buy new glasses or have lenses made which would cost the same as prescription lenses, approximately $250. I said "can't you just order them from Rayban? Don't you sell Rayban?" and she replied "yes we sell Rayban, but we can't get any lenses for these glasses." So I took my business to one of their competitors, and after explaining the situation, the girl spent under 5 minutes on Rayban's website, ordered me polarized lenses at a cost of $30+tax and I walked out of there a very satisfied customer. In the past, my family has spent thousands of dollars in the Langley LensCrafters location, and I will never step foot in there again. As I own a small business in Langley, I will be sure to tell my customers about my experience.

If I could give no stars I would. The assistant manager Kelly was awful. I asked if I could buy new lenses and have them put in my frames she barely looked at the frames I had ( which I bought their previously) and said no the frames would break. Okay.... then she gave me a bogus sales line that she’s allowed to give one lucky person a day $50 off the price but can only do it once and nobody’s used it yet. Please save me the b.s. quote came to over $600 with upsells I didn’t want! I have gone somewhere else with far better service, and better frames price etc! Also the place I went pointed out that the glasses from Lens crafters I currently have, are so damaged because of poor quality lenses. Awesome never ever going to Lens crafters again!!

I've used Lens Crafter for years. They have a wide variety of frames, friendly staff and the staff are great at recommending frames that fit your face and your style. They provide luxury to budget conscious frames for all genders and lifestyles. Their frames are a bit premium in pricing compared to smaller stores, but for me the convenience and variety are worth it.

I've had a good experience here three times in a row (each about 2 years apart). For the first two times, my glasses were perfect the first time and I enjoyed great vision for 2 years with each pair. The third time, things weren't right for 2 pairs of glasses (one of these not the fault of Lenscrafters), and I was really pleased that they 'stepped up to the plate' and made it right. This took longer than I expected, but resulted in a happy customer. I'm going this afternoon to pick up my glasses, and I am confident they'll be great. I'd recommend Willowbrook Lenscrafters (Langley BC) to anyone looking for glasses.

If I could give no stars I would. My Wife dropped in to get some help with a pair of glasses. Granted, they did not come from Lenscrafters. All she needed was for the optician to take 5 minutes out of their time to do a quick measurement of her lens. They absolutely WOULD NOT help. They said because they weren't bought there, they would not help out at all. Great Job Lenscrafters. If they had taken the time, they would have seen that we have purchased many pairs of glasses from them in the past. All my Wife wanted was a quick bit of help but no, it was too much to ask. They may have earned some business if they had helped. My experience with this awful store has been nothing short of horrible. They offer far overpriced product with absolutely garbage customer service. How this franchise or location remains in business is beyond me. We recently dealt with Clearly online and the experience has been night and day. From pricing to fixing a minor issue. Lenscrafters should be wary...the competition is beating you in every aspect of your business. You're a self entitled dinosaur headed for extinction!

If you want cheap glasses, go to LensCrafters. My lens were pitted and scratched after 3 months of wearing them. Even purchased their expensive lens towels. I went back to the store and I was told I didn't know how to clean my glasses. I've been wearing glasses for over 50 years. WTH? Lesson learned and will not shop there ever again.

Staff were super friendly and there was a great selection of frames that I could chose from. Name brands for a reasonable price, plus they send out coupons quite regularly for discounts on frames and lenses, so that is definitely an added bonus. I was promised my new glasses within 10-14 days and they were ready for pickup in 2 days. I just went in for to browse some prescription sunglasses and found a pair I liked. I double checked the price of the frames on the retailers website and they were exactly the same so that's a big plus on the price. However they said they were having a 40% sale on lenses and my lenses still came out to $212 for the CHEAPEST option. I had to go in later to add the $50 glare protection (tip for anyone getting sunglasses, get it, glasses are unusable without it) which they were happy to help with so that was nice to. Even though the lenses were very expensive, I was annoyed with how frequently the manager asked me if I wanted the protection, which sounds like a pay some now, and more if something happens type plan (i.e. not worth it). Over the course of my two visits where I dealt with the manager she asked me 6 times if I wanted the lens replacement warranty. It came off as pushy and really wasn't appealing. Overall I think the experience was good, but the very high price point was my main negative factor for sure.

All the girl said who served me was that I should buy a better lense or take insurance, do not buy from these people they are all on pressuring you to take the insurance, it’s an inferior product and a big sell game , so disappointed , lesson learned

I had a really racist experience at LensCrafters in fairview mall in Kitchener, ON. I came to the store with two friends (we are all hispanic), we were watching some frames we were interested in. One of the staff was sort of helpfull, nevertheless we noticed that she was only keeping us distracted while the other one called a security guy to follow us while in thw store. She assumed that for being latinos we were trying to shoplifting? I will formaly complain for what I am sure was a racist act.

My husband and I went I to the Fairview Mall location today to each buy new glasses and was assisted by Mariam. She was very professional...polite and definitely customer focused. She explained about the different lenses and helped my husband choose transition lenses which worked out better for him than buying a separate pair of sunglasses. The thing I love about LensCrafters and the reason we always go back...is that the staff never try to upsell you on any product. Upon reading the reviews I feel very comfortable coming in to LensCrafters in Langley. The only thing I find disappointing is that the owner has not made more time to respond 2 the positive reviews. I think when people take the time to show appreciation and help to bring in business through word-of-mouth it definitely should be acknowledged and I think it should be acknowledged every time. I am in the market for new glasses and decided to do some shopping for frames. The scenario was empty store, no other customers. Now I have a habit of speaking slowly and chose my words deliberately. And I found I could not even finish a sentence without the staff jumping in on my thoughts mid sentence and I spent the entire time reeling the staff member back and trying to describe what I was looking for. If I could give negative stars, I would. I smashed my last pair of glasses from them at work. Went in, in mid March to pick out and get my prescription into a new pair I picked out. Picked a pair I liked, but was scolded as to their Covid procedures and not explained them... then of course was told by prescription glasses would be ready in six days. After a month of no word I called them and was told, don't call us, we'll call you... so I waited another month and called. Same response..don't call us we'll call you... Waited another month and called... APPARENTLY the place filling the prescription lost mu glasses. The manager wanted to know if I still wanted them... I replied... YES OF COURSE..I DRIVE TRUCK FOR A LIVING AS I EXPLAINED EHEN I FILLED THEM...AND IM USING AN OLDER PERSCRIPTION...no cares truly given, and no true resolve except the offer to drive to guelph (Apparantly) to get my same glasses with the perscription filled....September sixth I get the call my glasses are finally ready! Amazing customer service... 7 months to get glasses to the customer.. so much for same day service like when they started. I am taking my future business elsewhere and recommend everyone do the same... you can only feed a man garbage and smile and say it's good garbage for so long... my purchase was a $500 pair of Ray Bans... so not a $20 I don't care purchase... sickening what these places get away with and use Covid19 as an excuse for incompetence.

To say I'm bewildered would be an understatement. I waited a year to share this because I was so petrified and genuinely terrified of the opticians. This LensCrafters has easily some of the most unprofessional opticians I will ever see in my lifetime. Both Kim and Shawn were extremely rude from the start and both had zero patience when adjusting my frames. The same thing happened last time, only this time, I was being yelled at and talked down where my sister and cousins had to come over and ask if I was okay after hearing her from across the store!! This is because I requested for her to readjust the frames just a bit more during the time when she is readjusting them on my face. I didn't want my glasses to stay crooked like my last pair at LensCrafters.. and I didn't provoke the lady whatsoever, so I'm clueless as to her behavior, but she really shouldn't take out on me like that. I almost started crying and wanted to run away - that's how bad it was getting. Good thing I had family with me. She toned herself down when they came to check up on me. I'm an adult male, by the way. This was just completely foreign and out of the blue, and I couldn't leave because she held my prescription glasses I payed for. I left prematurely and pretended they fitted comfortably. I came back to have them readjusted because they were digging into my skull leaving red marks, and since their frames have free readjustments. I had Shawn this time, instead of Kim, who was better (only at the start, though). I also inquired about my lenses being defective. My lenses had a severe fish eye effect, seemed completely defective to the point where vertical lines appeared completely warped to look at. Kim told me to keep wearing these fish eye lenses for a week and then she might do something about them (I tried so hard to make them work). Shawn wanted to see me again to determine the problem but when I came back, he forgot, then began addressing me as the problem. After trying so hard to convince myself that they were okay and that I am indeed the problem that they made me feel through repetition, and that this is normal, I realized that this isn't okay, nor right, and I'm positive others can make them better, because I am not the problem. They forced me to see my optometrist again. I've been bullied in my life, but I will not tolerate that when politely trying to get glasses done right by opticians. I took my optometrists advice into consideration, and decided to return the glasses altogether due to the varying issues the opticians are having cooperating and with mannerism. I wish I had recordings. === To keep things minimal (LensCrafters will receive my full story): They gave me inferior frames, bad lenses, bad resizing, and very bad attitude, forced me to come back several times in the span of a month and got annoyed when I did, told me I was the problem and to see an optometrist-who said I was fine and to stay away from this place if they couldn't accommodate my eyes, and when I decided to make a full return due to all of this, Shawn told me they would never serve me again at this store and to never come back, and staff kept talking about me over a week later out loud for customers to hear (my sister who passed by heard them). I wasn't planning on coming back after this, but this truly was a shocking, considering I just wanted glasses and lenses that fit, and to get out of there, and LensCrafters (ironically) couldn't accommodate. I went to Hakim Optical shortly after, across the street, they treated me right. I price matched from LensCrafters and they were able to order the same frames, they accommodated my request for flatter lenses (actually, they just made them right the first time), and I was the happiest I could be, all in a very short time frame. My advice is to come here only for frame ideas, you can order them from someone else and they'll be happy to help. I never thought opticians of all people could behave this way, and the quality of lenses just really isn't right, and it's true. I indeed was not the problem, Kim and Shawn.

In my case, they demonstrated their access to off site management to seek speedy resolutions to concerns which is all any customer could hope for. I went in to discuss purchasing glasses via my work benefits. The lady I was speaking with was very nice but another employee joined in on the conversation and I left feeling like I was a peasant who couldn’t afford their glasses. I was surprised by the prices compared to competitors. Said employee told me how my coverage would barely cover the cost of one pair and continued to say they are a high end store in a condescending tone. I felt embarrassed. Employee wasn’t interested in showing me anything in the store (even the lower priced frames). I got the message that they are high end and I am not a viable customer. Funny how my insurance can get me 2 pairs of glasses everywhere else. If you are not rich, don’t go there.

Called to make 2 appointments for an eye exam and buy at least 2 pairs of glasses. I was told to call back in 30 minutes because the receptionist was having her lunch....!!! I asked the lady who answered the phone if she could take the appointment for me? Her answer was: “I sell the glasses Sir!”. Really....... So I was more then happy to call Greich & Scaff. Took them a minute and I was booked for two eye exam. Needless to say we’ll be buying our glasses from Greich & Scaff!!! LensCrafters obviously doesn’t care about customer service or customer. Dr. Wang performed the most thorough eye exam I've ever had, and I've been wearing glasses for over 30 years! She explained every step of the process, showed me pictures of my eyes, explained why my prescription was what it was. She then dilated my eyes and talked me through that as well. Yelena was very patient and extremely helpful. I was returning a pair of glasses that unfortunately had a glare that I couldn't put up with. I came in very nervous and anxious. My son was there with me which added to my nervousness but Yelena was very kind with him as well which put me at ease. She explained all my options very clearly, we tried several different solutions but ultimately with my son there I began to feel like I should just cut my loses and ask for a refund. Yelena was able to negotiate with her supervisor on my behalf and in the end I was able to get the glasses which I wanted at no extra cost. She asked if i had a new prescription and told her I was waiting for Dr. Johal's practice (next door) to open to book an appointment. She told me she could do that for me and got an appointment for 11:15! When I got back from the optometrist she was there to help me with my prescription and order. Horrible service. I went in here after seeing the optometrist next door and was sadden by the way the staff treated me. I decided to see how they truly treated their customers and told the lady at the front desk that I was looking for new glasses and was on Ontario works (meanwhile I'm a student and have great coverage through my student plan). The staff treated me like crap. She brought me to a wall and then pretty much walked away. Asked a few questions which I didn't get an answer to. I was fully prepared to walk out with a pair of glasses until I was treated poorly. Instead I went elsewhere and was treated like a human being and they got the sale. Same circumstances I told the other place I was on OW and they didn't dismiss me or treat me poorly, instead they spent time with me to figure out the best affordable pair. When we went back to the counter the lady said she would have to get in touch with my worker for approval which is when I told them what I had just done and how it had blown up at your store. Moral of the story is even if someone is on Welfare don't treat them like crap! Your company lost out on a $600 sale because the sales staff were rude and judgemental.

I went in a year ago for eye exam paid 70.00 +tax, ordered glasses and gave a deposit. It took me a long time to go get my glasses so they sent them back, which I understand. What I don't understand is in all that time I never received one call from anyone there to remind me, or to tell me my glasses would be sent back. I told them that and I was called a liar! They proceeded to tell me they always call in these cases, they never called, not once! So I lost my deposit! Was treated horribly by staff, having them roll their eyes as though I was crazy, no apologies from any of them. Don't go there!!!! One star is one too many.

Before purchasing my child's glasses the employee told me that the price of the glasses included a one year protection plan. Sounded good. The employee then asked me if I had insurance coverage for eye wear so that they could submit the charge electronically to my insurance carrier and I wouldn't have to be out of pocket. Great! I gave them the necessary details and they put the charge through directly. Big mistake. I guess they figured since they were billing my insurance company directly they could slide a few extra charges through without me noticing. When I looked at the print-out they gave me afterwards I noticed a charge for $34.99 for the one year protection plan that was supposed to be "included" with the price of the glasses. Oh, and they also went ahead and charged $1.29 for a "One Sight Donation", apparently a charitable donation they assumed my insurance company wouldn't mind paying. Won't ever be back. Ever.

Me and my husband got 3 pairs of glasses from them in a very reasonable price. We got assistance from very wonderful staff especially Jody and Kelly. We visited the store twice to make a purchase and both times we visited during closing hours but we were never asked to rush. They made us take our time during our purchase and made it one of the greatest experience that I can ever imagine. Edit/Add: per LensCrafters reply on May 13, I continued/followed their recommended steps to seek restitution for their failure to honour a warranty. With their expected time frame of reply being 4-5 business days. It is June 1, and they still have not replied. One star seems a bit generous.

I went here with my girlfriend to get her some frames because we thought we would try out a different store. Everything looked very nice until the sales lady came and helped us. Their customer service was very poor . Both employees we talked to were very pushy and didn't take time to hear what we wanted. We picked up a pair of of frames that she liked and they straight up told her she couldn't afford them. ( we have kids that we just dropped at school and she didn't have time to do her hair and it was still early) so they profiled us thinking that we don't have money. This made the entire experience uncomfortable and regrettable.

We ordered prescription sports glasses for kids from this location and had them ready by the next day for the big game! It took a little bit for my kid to feel comfortable with them, but they work really well. I would recommend this location as well as a purchase of sports glasses for all kids to protect their eyes! Second LensCrafters I went, but the service was slightly better. The glasses I got was of very poor quality. Firstly, they gave me a broken case (right size for the frame), I returned it and they gave me a "new" one. The case was slightly damaged and it was a lot bigger. I went back again and asked if they could give me the right size and they claimed they were all big. I explained the first case I had was the right size, but the second one was too big. They refused. Secondly, the frame I had was missing some paint and it looked used. They re-ordered and when I went to pick them up, the employees didn't know what I was talking about because the manager didn't leave a note or talked to his colleagues. I noticed, one of the temple of the frame was extremely loose and I asked if the employee could adjust both equally and he said you can always go to another store and they will adjust it to you for free. It was not a pleasant experience, I do not recommend LensCrafters.

Terrible customer service, overpriced and misleading staff. I called and asked for an eyeglass AND contact lense prescription. I was given a price and made an appointment. The day of my appointment, midway through my examination I ask for my contact lense prescription and I'm told I need a contact lense fitting, which will be an additional $45. I told them my appointment was for an eyeglasses AND contact lense prescription, and at no point did any staff tell me I had to be fitted to get my prescription until that moment. This put the combined cost way above their competitors and I would not have made the appointment in the first place if I had known. The staff refused to rectify their error and simply kept telling me I'd have to pay the additional fee. Absolutely terrible customer service and clueless front desk.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Dhaliwal for many years, this time I needed an eye exam quickly since my insurance was running out. I instead saw another Dr and she was amazingg. Her name was Dr. Pouravli (sorry about the spelling) she took me next door and I was greated by one of the managers and they really took care of me and explained the lenses I was getting. They also direct billed my benefits and I got my glasses with the blue filtered lenses in 8 days. Great service and thank you, I will have my husband come in for his glasses too. If I had a choice to use no star, I'd like to use it. And from the other similar reviews, I maybe a victim of racial discrimination. I was there browsing frames with my wife and baby. And the lady there told me I can not browse any frames without a prescription with me. I told her I have a prescription that is 6 months old. She repeats the same message again and again. I said ok I'm heading out. She said I was using religious word to swear and called security. I have never seen any store so eager to walk customers out of their store. I have my wife and daughter there too. This place is not professional at all and the clerk is very rude. Please make sure you have a prescription before you browse any frames. Otherwise the lady there will repeat again and again, asking you to step out of the store ! I filed a complaint to the mall. And hope this won't happen to the other shoppers. And the security staff is very professional at the mall, he helped me filed a complaint.

The Lenscrafters staff and the optometry people were very helpful and a new prescription was issued and filled that fixed the problem I was having. Optometry department was wonderful, perfect. Less great service on the other side of the store when I wanted to shop for glasses. Had no one offer to help me and then the clerk was clearly irritated when I was walking around with a collection of potential glasses because I wasn't following the proper procedure for carrying product around. Staff seemed stressed and easily irritable. Decided to shop elsewhere.

First impression is the last impression. Not a great experience at all. You have to exam the patient properly so would recommend to others but was not that case at all. Within minutes exam that's all . I would not go there again.
