Fair. Nice enough staff, but they understaff during peak busy times, so don't expect to ever spend less than 30 minutes, even if you are just picking up a pair ordered previously. (side note: one male staffer here has an extreme mansplaining problem, can't stop himself from interrupting female coworkers so he can give unwanted "advice." In my case his advice was contrary to my optometrist's suggestion and contrary to the type of lenses I have been using for 15 years. I saw him do the same to at least two other coworkers / customers in less than an hour. If he does it to you, ignore his advice. Listen to your doctor. )
Inexpensive optometrist, glasses, contacts
Don’t waste your money coming into a crowded little space and no room for patients to sit. One step inside this place and you should be able to tell that something’s off. All the preliminary stuff is done in front of everyone else and then you go see one of the eye doctors. I’m pretty certain my prescription is off and now I’m going to go pay for another eye doctor who has their own office and is welcoming and not crowded. I wasted money coming here and now have to spend more, this is totally my fault, I should of looked at the reviews before coming in. Please! Just go to a regular eye doctors office even if it means paying more. I’ll come back and rewrite this review when I find a new prescription and compare it to what I got from Costco optical.
Hope I can give a negative star, worst experience ever. The staff here are so rude.
They gave my son the completely wrong pair of glasses..opposite prescription. He didn't complain, and it probably messed up his whole school since he couldn't see. They were also mistaken about when a prescription expired. They did not offer to replace lenses that were supposed to under warrantee. They ARE cheap, but service is unreliable.
In comparison,when i need to get the same service as other cosco shops, the other cosco redmonds are kind ,but this place costco are too hard and they refuse. So I'm a bit embarrassed.
What a poorly run business. Walked-in today to report an issue with my last batch of contacts (the same I’m using for 20+years) and was told that they can’t do anything because their manager is not here. What’s the point of advertising a service if you can’t help your customers if your boss is not here? I wasted my time coming to Costco especially for this, and will have to come back again. The two people who talked to me also ignored me and went away at the second I politely shared that this was not a great experience. I don’t think that Costco cares a lot if you have issues with a product once it’s paid for. I would recommend to take your business elsewhere.
Ed you're fantastic help but the glasses and frames I purchased, fell apart 6 months after purchase. And after 2 warranty replacements I was out of luck. Sorry Zenni is my go to spot now, made in Germany for 1/2 the price of Costco.
This is a great place to get your glasses. New to the glasses thing but the staffs were super helpful to help get hardware that will fit & suit my face. Great pricing, great service. I think they need more chairs for seating though
Asked me to put my face on a machine that was caked with someone else's foundation, as they were not diligent about cleaning in between customers. Mixed up my left and right contact lenses. Very stressful environment. Doctor was super nice but was only examined by him for less than 10 minutes? I'm curious to see how good my new prescription is... On the bright side, they were able to schedule me for this appointment weeks before the other Costcos in the area. A very disheveled appointment.
I had a great experience picking out my glasses and working with the optometrist on fit and options. She was k owledgablw and willing to make suggestions on style and fit.
The ladies at this Costco are the best. They worked with me until my glasses were perfect. Thank you for great service.
Extremely horrible experience. The lady helping me went on her break without telling me and the other staff refused to help me and kept calling other new customers.. unbelievable.

When I broke my glasses in half the other day, I called the optical department. Tom cheerfully answered and got incredibly excited when he looked up my account and noticed that the glasses I bought a year ago came in two days ago. He put them on hold and when I got there both he and Carla took my old lenses and put them into a new frame. This whole in-store process only took about 10 minutes! Wonderful service!
Changed my appointment without notification.
After buying from them for years, was rudely put on hold for over 10 minutes with someone coming on every so often to bark: "Thank you for calling, please hold". I was calling to make an appointment for an exam. Will never darken their door again. This behavior epitomizes the worst in human interaction & I will not support it no matter how cheap the price!!
Excellent eye exam, the optometrist clearly explained what was going on with my eyes and how my prescription was changing.

Worst experience ever for the eye exam.; Jamie was unprofessional and not paying attention to the patient during the exam....very bad and will never recommend it or comeback.
I have been waiting for 2 hours. And my number is 98. I wasn’t noticed call me. When they called 99. They want me to get the number again and wait for one hour. I am trying to explain to one of the staffs, she is very rude! Bad experience
Never again! They get a 1 because I can't post zero. Picked up glasses in September of 2020. Put them on and it was obvious the lenses weren't right. Tried to explain it to the guy but he wouldn't listen. His response was to go back to my optometrist and get my eyes rechecked. Asked if they could check the lenses against the prescription, no dice - they had absolutely no intention of doing anything. I could tell from his stance and attitude that any further discussion would only result in me getting very angry so I left. Now, a year later I finally went for an annual eye exam. Took those Cosco glasses and the prescription they were made from with me for the exam. Went to a new optometrist this time. She confirmed that the lenses are wrong and that my eyes are still essentially the same as the last exam. By the way - I have gone without glasses for the last year due to Cosco. I am not able to wear theirs! I seriously doubt that they care about these reviews, buy my hope is that anyone considering using them for optical needs ...... doesn't.
Great experience in terms of pricing, selection, and service but long waits during peak hours. Had to take a number to see frames in cases. Also, they couldn't fill my script the way it was written, I had to call the Dr and request it be changed to fit within what they offer (Kaiser could fill it as written but had higher prices).

Worked with Bernadette today to pick a new pair of glasses. She was wonderful to work with. She’s very patient. Explains everything completely and is a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend Costco for your glasses and contacts.
Wish to give negtive point if possible! The worse experience i ever had. I drove 1 hour to the place, the pokeface assistant didn't even let me in. She didn't open the door for me. Are you kidding!? I had an appointment at 6PM. Arriving there at 6:00PM, parking and checking in arriving their door earlier than 6:05PM. What is your problem Ms assistant? She was super impatient. Doctor just sit there even not looking at me. She kept saying doc is going to leave. Haha, enjoy your way going home. You know what - i will never use your service, save it, never go to this place full of arrogate and improfessional.
You call them for an appointment for the eye doctor. They put you on a perennial hold. Service sucks!

Their service was terrible. The woman in front desk neglected me and never tried to listen to me. I never recommend here to anyone.
