Most unique Costco that I have been in! You simply never know what you will see when you shop in this Costco. They do a great job of showcasing local everything! I will say this is the busiest Costco I've ever been in, every day at this Costco is like shopping at Christmas time. Newfoundland clearly needs more than one Costco for the size of the Island. One in Corner Brook & one in Grand Fall's would be a smart idea.

Have had my own time With costco. I had their card of which I renewed on time online but their system gave me a different customer I'd of with I didn't realize. Even purchased a fridge online. Costco had to cancel my credit card because they claim I didn't renew my membership. I went to the store to fight this, they agreed with their mistake. They asked me to call the card company I called, I explained but to no avail. On top of it the customer service person was offered a pure service and was mean.

Busy spot, but the line up at the cash move quickly. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Food court is priced well. Best to go as soon as they open if your looking to avoid heavy traffic. Smart shoppers will price compare before buying, some items are not always the least expensive there.

The store manager must be a complete idiot. The store is closing in 20 minutes and they have the Ladies Room closed for the next half an hour. So, if you're on your way out of town with a car load of stuff you bought at Costco hope you don't have to pee, because it would be too much of an inconvenience for them to clean the restroom after it closes. Costco gets only 4 stars because I specifically went there to check out the eyeglass frames. I did not bring my prescription with me as I have just been pricing different opticians frames. They would not allow me to even look at frames without having a prescription to show them. They have many good options and great crowd appeal, obviously. The drawback is that the crowds are almost oppressive especially on the weekends. They seem to be bringing in a lot more commercial equipment if that is of interest and the food stocks are also some of the best in the city in both quality and price, usually.

The person behind the food counter needs a vacation. My simple order of fries was made with too much stress and restlessness. And the person didn't even want the customers to speak. Before I could even begin my sentence to ask for a packet of pepper, he raised his finger while looking down, and then just angrily looked at me after 10 seconds with that "what do you want" look. This was my only interaction with this person.

Surprisingly managable tonight. I go only every few months. Easy to shop and stellar staff for the most part. My only grip is inconsistency in product selection and a staggering amount of packaging in some thier home brand products.

The COVID protocol is pretty strict outside, though it’s slightly alarming how many people are allowed indoors. Also slightly bummed that they don’t carry energy drinks here. Cashiers are fast and efficient though! Makes the lines move pretty quick.

It's really the same as any other Costco I have ever been too. Lots of good deals for bulk-size items. Apart from local markets/farmers, the produce section is probably the freshest in the city -- better and fresher than the selection at Dominion and Sobeys.

Bigger n better... added volume, self checkouts, gas station. The layout is similar to the old Costco. The area outside the produce area where the fruit is seems a little cluttered. AND of course, can't forget the roundabouts! Freakin' hate them! Almost got creamed today as one lady never even stopped coming into the roundabout. One other time a transport truck, which was clearly too big for the roundabout, entered into the inside lane as I was coming alongside, and I just managed to stop before it nearly took me out preventing me and any other traffic from maneuvering the stupid circle! Otherwise I enjoyed my visit.

The home furnishings and clothing is also great quality for very competitive pricing and service. I just wish there were more Costcos on the island.

Went to fill up my propane tanks and was greeted immediately by a friendly associate. He had to fill the tanks during the start of a snow storm. He still did it with a smile and was very polite. The lady who served me inside to pay for the propane, in the Tire Section, was super nice and friendly. All and all a pretty decent Costco experience. Even got to park half close!

This is simply the best Costco I have ever been in in my entire life and I've seen some nice Costcos in my time. All the other ones pale in comparison. This one has very nice employees, I will come back just for them. One guy had a really cool conversation with me about nerd stuff and expressed his love for turtles to me which was kinda off topic but I like turtles too so it was all good.

Costco is my go to for bulk groceries. I am feeding a family of 5, and there are key items I get a large quantity for cheaper-than-grocery-store-prices. Toilet paper, laundry and dish detergent, cat food just a few non-food examples of things that last awhile. Great deals on phones and memberships where you can receive Costco cash and competitive rates. Gas is another perk, always a few cents cheaper than anywhere else.

Staff at checkouts are absolutely terrible, and have attitude. $400 in groceries and they throw produce and bakery items after scanning with no care whatsoever. I was stopped by management after the incident. Their answer is to return anything that’s damaged. What a joke. How about train staff to take a little care in people’s purchases. Also should add that the manager was very pushy. Even after I told her to leave me alone.

Just got my membership today. Staff is friendly and helpful, store is clean and organized. Shelves are well stocked and prices are very good! Selection is really good too. Cashier was a little on the unfriendly side but I think it was a very busy morning.

Not pleased with the New Costco ..they did not think of Seniors ..it is nice they opened at 8:00 am for us ..but there is no overhead covering or shelter when we stand outside..and twice now they open late and every extra minute more in the cold is insisting and no apology..as they have the right..it could make our visit more pleasant if they would open even earlier or appolize politely and we would understand ..but not to keep us waiting as we are all in this together. Will have to get used to the layout..it doesn't have atmosphere. Sorry but hope they can listen.☺️

Only costco in surroundings.. Yesterday took two leather sofa set of 3 seater. Leg of a sofa is not getting in called the help desk number they are saying they will send the part let's see . First time doing there since Covid. The drive through the crazy roundabouts were as frightening as before. We were nearly sideswiped trying to enter. I'm glad I wasn't driving. It gave me more opportunity to cling to the edge of my seat. Grocery shopping itself was good. People were courteous. Things went fine until we reached the checkout. We weren't allowed to bag out groceries. Rather, the cashiers placed everything back, in a mess, I might add, into the cart. They told us we could bag it "over there" with a vague wave towards the exit. There was no place to do so because people were tightly packed along the way, and all our items were shoved every which way in the cart. We pulled up on the side and did our best. Lost our eggs. Thanks, because hey, who needs eggs anyway. Stuffed everything into the bags and left the store. I'm contemplating giving up our Costco membership. Or do they deliver groceries to your door?

A great place to shop for bulk items. A lot of great choices for groceries, pet food, clothes, household items, books, gas, ink refills, photos, furniture and everything in between. The downfall is long waiting lines, membership required, busy area and because it's bulk you need a lot of money to shop because it's not always worth going for only a few items.

Line was super long running across the building front & around the corner almost all the way to the road but it was constantly moving & it only took 30min to gain access (not that this is not always the case, quite often there are only 4 or 5ppl in line & you can get right in). People were respecting the 6' spacing & were wearing masks. When you got in the store you could see that they were obviously maintaining occupancy levels because I never ran into one more person or couple in any aisle & there was NO line up for the cashiers. GREAT JOB Costco Niagara Falls! As to the store itself...this is a new location, replacing the St. Catharines location which is being converted into a Costco Business Centre in April 2021. The aisles seem to be spaced wider apart than usual which is nice given the pandemic situation, they have ample parking, & a gas bar which members can use & save approx $0.05 - $0.08 per Litre. The staff is helpful & seem happy as well which is always great to see.

By far the all around best value for groceries in St. John's. My only issue for which I rated them a four, not a five, is that they occasionally are out of stock of basic staples such as regular plain yogurt, kumatos, and frozen cherries, as the most recent examples. None strike me as seasonal products. Costco, please correct me if I am wrong. Please note, overall, Costco beats all other local large grocers hands down. The others are far worse at maintaining similar staples in stock.

Oh Costco. Finding a time when it isn't busy is almost impossible. That being said, if you can get through the chaotic parking lot, large crowds and long lines at the cash register, you will have a great time. Even with all that Costco is extremely efficient, and those lines move quickly, the crowds are usually moving, and as long as you aren't looking for the perfect spot you will be fine. The high quality of produce is something to note as well. Costco does a great job bringing in fruits and vegetables that puts most of the other stores in the metro area to shame.

What I save on produce alone over a 60 day period more then covers the membership costs, specially when comparing to Sob... Or Dom... Our local big supermarket chains. Parking isn't as bad as people say unless you are a impatient driver. It is usually busy inside but the staff are great and the checkouts are super fast. Best way to avoid being run over is to be aware of your surroundings. Don't stop on the middle of the isle to say hello to someone, move aside. Fell free to try one of their many samples but there is no need to park the cart and make a lunch out of it. Also I know kids are welcome there but parents place keep a close eye on them or a leash, poking holes through the wrap that covers fresh chicken is frowned on. Someone mention there was no fire place or couches... There is two coffee shops that are up the street if that is what you are seeking. Costco does have a small restaurant and a seating area. Over all for me if you don't mind repacking food and freezing portions the amount you save here is of the charts. If you don't believe me fell free to take a tour and record their prices compared to other companies.

Every time I go in there I get grief by an employee. On one hand I can respect and appreciate that the staff are all uniformed in their pandemic training. Safety for sure is important and I support that. But why do I always end up feeling like I'm treated like some delinquent juvenile when I go in here. One time I took my mask off to take a sip of water and was told I wasn't allowed to drink. I breastfeed so I get thirsty really quick and must drink to keep my supply up. Its not just the requests its the dirty looks. I got pointed at when I took my mask off to blow my noise from allergies. Seriously? Another time I was literally yelled at for taking my mask off to kiss my baby. All this is by employees and customers nearby felt sorry for me and defended me. I was in tears for this last time. My baby was feeling sad and I couldn't console her with a mask on, it was freaking her out, she relies on seeing my smile to be comforted. Shes just an infant that needs her single mom for TWO seconds. I don't want to return here because of the way I am treated. Life is already so hard without feeling harassed.

My first visit to Costco, in the form of a guest. The member that invited me spent a little while at customer service while they attempted to upsell them to the executive membership. After that was over we wandered aimlessly through the vast warehouse.... the prices were reasonable and there were certainly some things available here that I hadn't seen anywhere else. The store was packed, and quite a few shoppers were ignorant of the world around them, blocking aisles, cutting in front of others in their pursuit of the deal. Can't blame the store for the people that shop in it! I will say whoever it was that was staffing the checkout area was ringing things up, and the person packing was doing so brilliantly. So kudos to them! I'll be back one day to see if my experiences are indicative of the Costco experience or due to covid/Christmas.

The best designed Costco I have experienced. Plenty of parking that is well spaced apart, good access to the gas bar, and many roundabouts leading up to the store in order to keep traffic flowing. Everyone loves Costco, and rightfully so. I get about a month's worth of groceries for just $300 bucks. It's definitely worth the membership rate to get in there, if you shop there more than twice a year, the $50 pays for itself. I do recommend avoiding weekends, as it's absolutely insane there. Parking and otherwise. Be prepared to park at the far end of the lot and walk in. The pro for parking though is that the spots have a double (1ft wide) demarcation, giving you that extra space to load up your vehicles. Don't mind not eating before you go either, because the food court has all sorts of delicious and shocking cheap food if you brought cash (no electronic payment)

By costco standard this place not so great. Both selection and quality are sub par. And people working here think they're better than their customers. This one guy named Forrest giving lecture about "putting a bar before you start". And I told him I always put a bar at the end of my stuff, and that's what people are supposed to do, so cashier knows when to stop. It's just a nice thing to do, like when you drive through Starbucks, sometimes you say i'll pay for the person behind me, we never say the guy before me should pay for my bill. This cashier never apologized.

My favorite place for shopping. I wish the management could provide more and good quality of those rubber mats for the staff to stand on. Not healthy to stand on a concrete floor for a long time. If Costco could enforce the policy of none smoke area that would be awesome or if could design and locate a proper place for the staff to smoke there and not outside by the door it would be much appreciated. Whenever staff smoke by the door the wind will push it all in the hallway and it is not healthy to breath in. Hope this place always be busy and Costco take care of the staff. The staff are really nice, helpful and friendly.

Very nice and spacious! Just got my membership today, do think they should put a sign up or something to let people know that they dont provide bags. As a first time shopper, I wasn't aware of this so I didn't grab a cart for my few items and ended up juggling them and my food court sruff out the store. Besides that it was awesome!

After 3 years of being a member and shopping every weekend, they moved out of the area and I didn't feel like renewing my membership only to drive 40 kilometers west to save a few dollars. I had a full cart of items and because I wasn't renewing - they made me put it all back. 1-2 hours shopping and because my membership was just expired and I didn't want to renew, they couldn't cut someone a break for their last shopping day. Very unhappy and will never ever step foot in the place again, not that they care about their customers for they wont even open a second location - they would rather jam 1000s of people into the one location - and as soon as the lineups start to look a little short, they remove staff so they dont need to pay any extra staffing costs... so the lineups are back to about 20 people per cash - 15- 20 mins... Overall a money hungry company with no regard to customer satisfaction whatsoever. A place to stay as far away as you can.

I had the worst experience in this store. I called them about an item and had to go a long distance to get there. By the time I was there the price was $400 than what they have advertised in the email. They told me it was an online deal. After a humiliating me they asked me to call online customer service. When I called their online customer service, they did not have the item in stock (even though the item was in front of me in the store!). I wish they were a bit nicer and truthful.

So I tried to pay in Costco St John's, NL, with VISA and they don't accept it, only MasterCard, and that's fine but the thing that pissed me off was that the lady in charge of putting the things back in the pulling car was very rude to me saying I can only pay with MasterCard. She was not polite at all and was disrespectful the way she told me I should have known that, even she saw my membership is not from Canada, in Costco Mexico I had never been treated like this. Other than this incident everything is like every other Costco standard.

Love the place for grocery but terrible customer service. Not that I’m looking for it, but being someone of colour I can feel every time I go I feel unwelcomed. I keep tabs of time I felt good by shopping but in my 6 months of membership I did not have a single good experience to tell. Busy but fantastic customer service. One lady noticed my eggs were broken and ran to grab me a different package. Kinda bounced back and forth between 4 and 5 starts then opted for 5 because the only problem I have is with how rude I've seen other customers get. As for Costco itself there are always line ups, however, they move quick. Staff are friendly and quick to help if you ask (no salespeople hovering and asking you again and again if you need help). The store is clean and well organized which makes it easy to find what you are looking for. And my favorite part, I am always greeted with a smile, I thank them for that.

Since Covid-19 has hit us all hard your store is making and extra profit off the people who shop there. I used to buy Lysol Wipes for 10.00 and now it up to 21.00, outrageous. And because I am a senior and with health reason, I have to have my niece do my shopping. She works, so she can't get to the store until 6 or7p.m. and by then she can't find half the things I need; ex. since Nov. she hasn't found my hot dogs, wafers, chips, chicken wings, egg rolls. You aren't keeping your store stocked for the people that still have to work. She works full time and try to help me out sometimes she can't even get me meat products.

Its Costco. So it you pretty much know what to expect. Large location, great staff, and tasty food at the takeout counter. Rarely are there lines at the registers, and if there is it won't take long to get checked out. There is a Gas Bar in the Parking lot for discount fuel, as well as propane. Due to COVID, on busy days there might be a line to get into the warehouse, but like the register lines, it also moves fast.
