Weekly grocery deals are mostly the draw.The most popular sale items might last a day and a half. The store layout is a bit frustrating as it forces you all the way to the back of the store then up the other side just to get to the check outs if you are doing a return. Clothing and footwear selection is not as large here in New Glasgow as in neighboring town GT stores. Mens clothing sizes and selection is minimal if your not 6' and 160 lbs. There is one star in the store. An older gentleman that stocks the shelves will bend over backward to help you. Some of the senior cashiers would do well to learn the greeting "Hello" and the words please and thank you.

It's the closest to a normal shopping experience as one can currently expect. Avoid Walmart unless you want to be harassed (aka screamed at) for going down a one way isle? Seriously? Also if you have low vision, GT (at least this location) doesn't enforce the one way isle like the Walmart police.

I shop at Giant Tiger a few times a week in Ottawa and they always have great staff. I will NEVER return to this location. Cashier tried to make me feel cheap for using a coupon when they were busy. After waiting 15minutes in line and being embarassed by the cashier I said "how about I just don't by anything from you", her reply was "that's fine". Ridiculous. Wish I could give less then 1 star.

This Giant Tiger store is pretty great, the staff is quite friendly and very knowledgeable about the products they carry, they have great prices and it's not usually overly busy. Great place to stop for a bag of milk on your way home it's also reasonably priced and you can usually get in and out and on your way very fast, very comparable speed to a Mac's Convenience Store.

I was there last night and I em very not impressed with the service I got. Usually it’s amazing never had a bad experience there before great customer service especially by the cashier Amy. But when I was in last night it was new faces that gave me a hard time. I got severed by a young girl I never seen before no customer service at all had her mask down and a crop top and and overall was on her phone while I was paying exchanging numbers with a young boy that works there also. I em very upset with the service I got tonight it shocked me how good they usually are, those kids should not have a job if there gonna act like that something has to be done..

Disappointed in the staff's, very unfriendly and they chat with the customers at cash while others are waiting in line. Customers get angry and impatient. Also when there is a long line up at the ticket counter they won't call another cashier to help get the line up down faster. I also really wish they would have their staff stock shelves after hours because it's hard to shop when they are standing in your way.
