Overall my experience was pretty good. The only thing that I wasn’t crazy about was that it took two weeks to process my order when I got the 3-day shipping. There is a pandemic and order processing is expected to be slower; however, I wish I would have gotten some notification beforehand. Although I did receive a somewhat personalized email, and they also emailed me back relatively quickly. My new glasses are so cute. I recommend them!!

Good products, however when you have to do a return they move like snail mail on processing your refund. My UPS delivery said it arrived Friday. Today is Sunday and still no refund. Not cool. I may have to open up a PayPal investigate if they hold my money hostage.

Right now I’m still waiting for my glasses to arrive but I did pick 2-day Priority delivery so I’m not waiting a long time which I have found to be the case with several other websites. But I am happy to say that these glasses are identical to a pair that was stolen from me when my car was broken into and according to the measurements indicated in the description they just happen to be the right sizing for me in it that I don’t have to request any special sizing for the glasses to fit me. It’s an excellent quality eyewear and for this price I can’t complain. They are not as pricey as they would be at other places. I’m happy I found this website because I have seen these eyeglasses elsewhere considerably more expensive

I chose this site because they had the lowest price. Getting tracking info took a long time, but the item arrived as expected. The glasses were way smaller than when I tried them on in a different store, despite only being made in one size. The problem was their return policy. It took two emails to get them to send directions to send them back. They do not provide a return label, so you have to pay to send it and get a signature add-on (their policy). Plus, I don't trust them not to say they didn't receive them. On top of that, you have to pay a $5 restocking fee. So I paid nearly $15 for a pair of glasses I didn't keep. They had the same pair on walmart.com for $20 more, but at least I would have gotten a full refund and I could take it to their store to return it. If you really need inexpensive glasses you're much better off using a well known company like Warby Parker. After, I looked at the reviews of this company. They are not good for a number of reasons and it doesn't seem like the management wants to fix it.

Wow! So because my order was wrong and the items we're missing, I decided to check the reviews, and if I did before placing an order, I would have never bought my sunglasses from this place. Anyways I'm hoping all turns out well, and I have a refund if my items can not be shipped sooner. It's after almost two weeks after I ordered and had missing items, and then the item I ordered doesn't look as the item displayed. Black sunglasses came with some brown colors. I did a return and cost me over$ 5. All this while, I thought I probably had the wrong color, but I realize the problem. This place is shady and doesn't act like they are doing business. Worst customer service ever. I asked for a refund, and I'm still waiting for my money to go back to my bank account. Imagine I had to pay to return items to this place, and they deducted their cost for shipment and processing. I had missing items, and it was not my fault that I returned the sunglasses I bought after it did not look like the same color as seen online. I also had to figure the problem on my own because they emailed me and said they sent me the exact glasses I ordered. These folks don't think beyond the box—worst customer service I have experienced. I am still waiting on my money.

I am very satisfied with my purchase. I got a pair of Tiffany frames and they were beautiful! They were legit as they came in the original packaging along with a certificate of authenticity. I also compared this frame to my old frame that I purchased at LensCrafters a few years ago. It was exactly the same except for the price: $300+ at LensCrafters vs $100 (including tax and shipping) at DesignerOptics. I have to admit....I was super skeptical about ordering at first because I seen the exact same pair of Gucci frames at Sunglass Hut for almost DOUBLE the price!! I decided to give it a shot and oh boy....I am beyond impressed with the quality and also the shipping. I was having a hard time sleeping and came across this site. Placed the order around 3 AM. Received confirmation and tracking number a few hours later. I read negative reviews after the fact and was a bit scared. My beautiful Michael Kors arrived a few days later. Perfect! The issue I have is with pricing. My sister loves them and wanted to order as well. The same glasses now cost $35 dollars more.

Placed an order almost 3 weeks ago, submitted my payment and have emailed twice and they still have yet to process my order. On top of that, the reply to my last email asked to send a copy of my RX, when I submitted it with my original order and confirmed it was uploaded. I asked today to either provide a refund or confirm the order. Will update - June 2020 ***update 6/19...I emailed asking the status of my order and got a reply pretty fast saying the order should be processed early next week and when that happens I’ll receive a tracking number. Pleased with the fast reply and professional explanation. Will update next week. ****update Finally received my order. I open the package and try on the glasses...the lenses are clear and are NOT prescription lenses. I confirmed my Rx was uploaded/received on the website upon ordering and even confirmed that they received my rx via email. Very bizarre experience. Hopefully won’t have issues returning these and getting a refund but not holding my breath based on other reviews. What a mess! This seems to have also happened to other customers recently, I think this company is just a scam.

I was a bit reluctant after doing my purchase because of all the bad reviews I saw from this store. I experienced 1 week delay from the moment I purchased to receive the DHL code. Horrible customer service with only one customer service agent- every time you call you get the same person? Horrible return policy and I was refunded the incorrect amount. I usually buy from EZ Contacts (great customer service and return policy) and I regret not buying from them now. I will never use this company ever again. I feel like it’s a one man operation? Addendum: When I was sent a prepaid shipping label back, I only received the label and no other information. I made the return. They refunded me only 70% of the cost of the frame. I called and asked where the money went and they said it’s their policy to take 30% of the cost of the returned frame but admitted THEY NEVER SENT ME THEIR POLICY and then sent it to me then to show me how they were going to take my money even though they never provided this information before. I explained I should receive the refund for the frame since they never sent me this and they would not. Absolute worst customer service ever. Do not buy from here! I spent over $400 on one pair of prescription glasses. I’ve contacted the better business bureau.

I was worried when i placed my order because of the reviews. Im glad I took that chance because WOW. Like night and day. These are most certainly AUTHENTIC Versace. You can feel how sturdy they are compared to other brands of frames. I will tell you now that all these reviews are because of shipping time, thats on the buyer to buy expedited shipping. I purchased the "Wisdom" frames from Designer Optics in May of 2018. It was a great decision and experience. My frames had broken, but my lenses were still fine. It was a plug and play repair upon arrival. I'm as happy as a clam. At the time I think they were something like $19 which is a pittance when compared to what I paid for them new and even with insurance coverage.

I have finally received my order this morning. I placed my order on 11 October 2021 and it was shipped on the 1 November 2021. It took until 3 November to reach Auckland and there after took till 20 December to be delivered. What's crazy is that nor Designer Optics or DHL was willing to help locate the item or raise an investigation as to why the delay in shipping. It was just template replies asking me to wait or telling me about delays. The sunnies look legit but there were a few glue patches around the medusa and the gold out lining seemed to be fading on one side. I saw quite a few reviews that said the site might be dodgy but I can confirm despite the product having minor cosmetic issues the site is legit. If you are patient, don't mind the not so helpful customer care and don't mind a few glue marks, fading outlines then it's safe to order here.

Terrible! What kind of business provides service that they cannot even estimate the delivery date? This is the company!. Once ordered, all you get is "we have got your order. We did not forget it. When it is ready, we will send it to you." This is the message you get even after 15 days of order date.

Terrible Quality and Service. I ordered and paid on line for prescription sunglasses. After several days, I was emailed that the frames were either back ordered or not available. Several more days past and another email said a pair of frames were found and my order would be processed soon. A few more days past and i was told the frames were no longer available and a refund was issued. Due to the exchange, the refund was $20 less. I ordered another frame with exactly the same result and another $20. The third attempt. I emailed Designer Optics to confirm availability prior to ordering and was assured the Nike frames were in stock and were Rx compatible. The order was placed on July 29 and shipped on Aug 03 and showed up at my door on Aug 16. I have owned several pairs of NIKE sunglasses and these frames were definitely NOT Nike, obviously some cheap Chinese knock off, and the Rx was totally incorrect. After reviewing the return policy, I contacted Designer Optics and was told there is a 14 day return window and that had past and absolutely no return would be accepted. So almost $300 later, my grandson has a pair of toy sunglasses. Please read the reviews before you order, if it's too good to be true ......

Ordered Tom Ford Shades from Canada,I am blown away how the case is even nicer and was worried that the Sunglasses would move in box being shipped but were wrapped in packaging in the box and even had plastic wrap on one arm so they didn't touch in the box. Came with original cleaning cloth and all warranty cards 100% legit. So happy! And ordered Wednesday night and were shipped next morning and had them by Monday near Toronto from New York city. I placed an order for Versace glasses on July 3, 2021. #SY351572. I contacted customer service several times, but I kept getting the same answer, which was that the glasses weren’t available in their stores so they must get them from the manufacturer. Today is July 26, so this has been going on for basically a month now. No updates, no tracking information, nothing. I feel like a fool because I so obviously got scammed. It seems that even the police and and the BBB can’t do anything about this fraudulent business. I will request a refund, and I suggest all of you do the same.

SCAM!! Don’t Buy from Designer Optics!!! I have never dealt with such scam artists!! I ordered two sunglasses of which I only received one. However the shipment detail shows that both sunglasses were in the package. The one sunglasses that I received look totally fake and so I had planned on returning it and emailed the seller that I didn’t receive the other sunglasses and I planned on returning the one that I received. That’s when the seller replied back stating they will ship it out following week. I asked the seller not to ship it because I wanted to cancel the order. He refused to acknowledge my request and kept emailing me saying I should receive it. Finally, when I placed a partial dispute with my credit card company, he responded saying if I close the dispute with my credit card company and I ship back the sunglasses that I don’t want, he will refund me the full amount. I did both and asked when he can refund me my money and he stopped replying back. I finally had to place a dispute for the entire amount with my credit card company since there’s scam artists won’t reply. I purchased it through pay pal and they are just s as worthless!

I bought these sunglasses because I have owned the exact same pair for about 5 years (maybe longer). I have worn them every time I play golf (which is almost every day) and I love them. Unfortunately, I accidentally broke my frame which houses my prescription lenses. I ordered the exact replacement so I will be able to install my prescription lenses and be back in business. Your company had the best price by far.

I've been trying FOR WEEKS to find Gucci eyeglasses online that would be shipped and delivered within a few days. 8 different sites later, I found Designer Optics, who also had a live chat option. I spoke with a live agent, got the answers I wanted, ordered the glasses I wanted, and BOOM I get an email an hour later telling me my glasses have already shipped and will be arriving the day after tomorrow. I ordered Armani glasses with a prescription in late May, then waited 10 days for a tracking number, but then they told me it was out of stock, then I placed an additional order on June 15, with something that was in stock and the lady confirmed. Called 15 days later, and then they say it's out of stock...HORRIBLE. I understand the economy right now, but it shouldn't be this horrible. Probably better off going into your regular eye doctor and dropping hundreds for some glasses.

Customer service was most helpful with measurements and I had my RX (did have to beg for the PD from eye doctor), they must realize that once they let you “research” you will find better designer glasses for 1/3 the cost. Writing comment as this company seems to get mixed reviews- long story short Great Experience... My Fiancé found a pair of sunglasses she loved for her birthday last week Thursday 2/25. They were nearly $400 at a well know retail store. I wanted to buy them but was sticker shocked, so went online and Designer Optics was first AD to pop up with the glasses at $190 with free shipping and an additional 10% off coupon. I was VERY skeptical and started reading reviews on google and their Facebook page. Luckily I listened to the positive reviews and took the chance. I used PayPal to purchase the glasses (helpful tip learned in a review), I added the $1.75 shipping insurance and paid $19.00 for UPS to ship them (after 10%coupon it basically was still free shipping). The company emailed me with every order update so that made me rest easy. Then I downloaded the “Shop” app they offer to track package. All went smoothly. They were ordered Friday 2/26 and arrived Wednesday 3/3 (not exactly the two days but for the savings it was ok with me.) Product arrived in its correct box with plastic on it and looked untouched and had authenticity paperwork. I will definitely use this company again for future glasses. Note: the purchase was for non RX sunglasses

I haven’t received my product yet but ordering was a breeze. Prescription sunglasses are expensive and after shopping around for an affordable brand name pair, I came across this website. I received a first order discount and already got a thank you email from the founder. So far, so good! * Edit-2/15/2021: I received an automated email asking if I received my product. My order status of “still processing” was last updated on 12/4. I sent an email inquiring about my order and as of today, no response. If you look at all the reviews the company only replies to the 5 star ones.

This company is an unorganized, unprofessional mess. Please save your money because if you don't receive your product or receive the wrong product, it's a true nightmare to get it straightened out. They sent me purple prescription lenses when I ordered black. When I tried to reach out about the issue, they failed to reply to emails and IG comments in a timely manner. The person running the IG said "sorry, that's the closet we could get to the lens color you ordered. Okay, so purple is the new black? After a week and a half of searching for a pulse over email the email customer service person says "sorry for the error, please send them back." Okay so did you send the "closest color to black" or did you mess up? There is a massive disconnect at this company, you can see this from the unhappy customers in their IG comment section. Please save your money and go elsewhere. They really have me out here with purple lenses looking like Elton John (all due respect).

Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. The glasses are beautiful, the prescription is just right, and their customer service is great. However, I do have one complaint - the timeline is a little over the top. I ordered my glasses on May 12 and didn’t get them until July 3. The shipping took a couple of weeks even with “2-day shipping” that was given to me for free but I had already paid for basic shipping anyway so I don’t feel that was really an improvement. I did save about $250 purchasing here as opposed to a glasses shop, but still...11 weeks? I do feel that the production phase could be shortened, or at least they could provide a realistic timeline at checkout. All in all, if you’re in no rush, I would recommend Designer Optics. But only if you don’t care when your purchase actually makes it to you. All other aspects were great and the ordering process was simple.

They charged my card, sent me 4-5 emails saying they needed more time to process my order, but definitely have the item I ordered. After 2 weeks, I emailed them and they said they didn't have the item I paid for. They did refund me, but just a waste of time. AVOID.

Awful! I paid $30 for overnight shipping on Monday to receive my frames quickly because mine our broken. It’s now Wednesday and have no tracking info. They are telling me they are coming from Manufacture to their location since they weren’t in stock. So basically the manufacture is send them regular mail to their location. This means that I won’t have my glasses for 12 days from my order even though I paid for overnight shipping. I could understand 3 days to fulfill but 9 days! They should of had the manufacture overnight them to me directly! Now I have to survive with broken and glued frames for another week or more. Who knows when I’ll actually get them. Also, the best thing they could do was refund my overnight shipping and send them priority when they received my glasses. Which would take even longer... Obviously, I said no!

I recently purchased a pair of glasses from designer Optics and was unhappy. First off, it took almost a month to receive my glasses. After receiving I noticed them to have heavy glare Issues even though I ordered with anti-reflective coating..On top of that I felt they were thicker and heavier than my previous pair even though they are same prescription..Unless you are willing to wait potentially a month to receive then you are probably better off purchasing glasses somewhere else

Exceptionally bad customer service. First representative gave me the wring infomration about the availability of the item, I haf to request a refund oafter the payment was made. Then the chat rep gave me a wrong information when I attempted a new order. Further nquieries were not even replied. I was not even dignified with the answer. I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD! I bought a pair of sunglasses with insurance. They did not fit me well so I asked to return them. I finally received a label and they said they would charge a fee plus shipping- ok. I returned it (please keep in mind they are only 20 min away from me) the label scanned was out for delivery then said awaiting scan. I emailed them inquiring and they finally replied telling me the warehouse was closed for a few weeks due to Hanukah. Ok- I was never told they would be closed. I would never have sent the glasses back had I known no one would be there to get them. USPS said the reason it was never scanned was because the warehouse was closed. This was 9/15 and I have not received any refund. they keep giving me the run around. I even reminded them that I paid the shipping insurance that is meant to cover incidents like this and I still do not get an answer. I am out $200 and the glasses. I would not buy from here if I were you.

Prices are attractive but the Customer Support process is awful. After waiting 5 weeks for my sunglasses to arrive I called Customer Support to check on status. It was a 45min wait with 23 people ahead of me in queue. After getting someone on the line they told me they would look into it and call me back... guess what never happened. You'll save some money here but you better hope everything goes smoothly with your order.

Absolutely CANNOT recommend. Designer Optics has an extremely automated emailing system that will blow up your inbox with reminders that they "havent forgotten about your order" or begging to leave a review. I paid for frames and expedited shipping but after the automated emails had already been sent, I guess someone at Designer Optics had forgotten to ACTUALLY email me that my order processing was delayed which caused a delay in shipment as well. Have not received a response email from customer support regarding refund of order or expedited shipping but big surprise - I got an automated reply stating they received my inquiry. TL;DR - Avoid Designer Optics. They took my money and ran.

YOU NEED TO READ THIS. Seriously! So, I finally will write my review. First of all I live in Saudi, Riyadh. I ordered two sunglasses: Dior studs 3F and Valentino 2040. I set my order on 16th Nov and received it 3rd of Dec. These two weeks and a half were extremely difficult because of one thing: The unhappy reviews. I never writes reviews, this one is my first because now I'm aware of how important is to reflect your GOOD experience and comfort others. I literally sent them an Email to cancel my order, but it was already shipped. Like any other company, they told me to receive the shipment and return it. That was hard to accept, I thought I just lost 400$ for nothing! Anyhow, I kept receiving updates from the shipping company USPS about my the states of my shipment. At the same time, I spent hours and days reading uncountable reviews that some of them were written in 2016. I couldn't stop thinking that one of the glasses will not arrive, or become broken, or dirty or wrong color etc. When they arrived, nothing of what I thought happend. They arrived safe and sound! I was the happiest on the planet. I just want Designer Optics to be more honest with their costumers about the dates. I had to wait extra 10 day for my shipment. Also, I'm not assuming that the unhappy reviews aren't true, but I believe we need to be more patient. However, the website offers such amazing goods with flawless quality and affordable prices, hence, they need to work more to satisfy their costumers. Honestly i was worry after i bought my 3 sunglasses Tom Ford, Prada and Ray Ban with a discount and good price especially after reading the negative reviews i thought i would receive a fake glasses. I ordered for international address to Saudi Arabia the fist order was 27 Sept, received the tracking # on 5th Oct and i email the customer service 3 times asking why there is no update on my tracking #. Finally today on 1 Nov I received my package and glad that all my glasses looks 100% authentic and original. Buyer Beware! Do not do business with this company! Typical NY Mob. Designer Optics will run a deceptive ad to get your money. Once that happens they send a series of emails pretending that they will send an item. We made a purchase on March 17, now it is April 1st, and the only joke here is Designer Optics. No items received, six emails to this company with no response, 10 days and waiting. Which is what earned this stellar review.

I ordered glasses almost two months ago and they haven't shipped yet, so I contacted Designer Optics for a refund. They keep ignoring or denying my request, insisting that I select a different pair of frames instead. Because it's been more than 30 days and they haven't sent the product, Designer Optics are legally obligated to refund my purchase under Federal Trade Commission rules. I do not appreciate having to fight them for my money back. Would not recommend.

This is an amended review. At first, when I saw on their web site that shipping usually only took 3 days, and the price of the frame seemed right. I received several emails updating me about the order, but after three weeks, I checked with them, and they said they weren't able to get me a estimated shipping date of my order, and Covid had slowed everything down, so I decided to cancel. The refund was quickly applied to my account. It was unfortunate that this, my first order didn't work out differently. Based on other reviews, I would probably try them again after the pandemic lifts.

I ordered my prescription glasses on May 8th. I got a couple “we are working on your order, but it’s not shipped yet” emails shortly after. It’s now ten days later and I’ve not gotten an email that they’ve shipped. I sent an email to their customer support department asking for an update and a day later got this email from them. Obviously it’s an automated response but it wasn’t helpful and honestly it worries me reading it. The instructions that provided were nonsense. If I haven’t heard back from you, you want me to contact the website? Lol... how about I should be able to count on you to send my order or at least contact ME in 24-48 hours. Who writes these emails?! I saw a few similar reviews on here so I am not the only one. Don’t blame COVID anymore either, things are practically back to normal now.

Avoid avoid avoid. I ordered a pair of Prada sunglasses. At the time of order, there was no mention of backorder. Yet I continue to get email after email about how my sunglasses are "on their way", while also getting conflicting reports from customer service. I asked for a discount on another pair of glasses, to smooth over the current catastrophe (still no sunglasses), and they continually offer me the same 10% that is already on their website. They are completely unwilling to go above and beyond when they are in the wrong. Poor business, worse customer service.

My order took about 8 days to complete. Well, I ordered regular glasses and also a pair of sunglasses and the regular ones took about 8 days. The tracking didn't show movement from origination to shipped status but I did get emails that said my order was out for delivery and that they were also delivered. As others have stated, it's always a little uncomfortable whe purchasing from an unknown source the first time. But this owner and site is definitely what they state they are. My Swarovski glasses came with the sample lenses, a certificate of authenticity, a case and a cleaning cloth. The beautiful case had a couple small dings, but no matter. If you find some on the site you like, adding your prescription and lense type is easy. And items are perfection.

Really liked the frame and responses to inquiries were great when I was awaiting them in mail. But given that my job has gone online I decided to go with a BlueBlocking lens (from another company) instead. Filled out the return form and got a response informing me of the percentage of my payment that would be returned (80% of frame, not the lens) but no shipping address. When I requested it, no response. Now it's past the date and Im stuck with a pair of glasses I wont be using and am out the money spent.

I purchased from Designer Optics a couple months back and continue to be happy with my purchase. My frames that I originally purchased from my doctor's office had started to fail at the hinges. The lenses were still in good shape, so instead of getting an entirely new frame and lenses I simply purchased a new, identical model frame from Designer Optics. The frame I purchased from D.O. arrived quickly and was identical to the frame I got from my optometrist for more than double. Great value!

Buyer BEWARE! Received a pair of Hugo Boss glasses with frame being bent at the brow so the glasses do not sit straight at all on the face. Now they want me to mail it back at my own expense and pay 5$ handling fee to have them inspect it! The frame also did not come with any "authenticity' cards as mentioned in earlier comments, so likely is a knock-off or they buy defect frames and re-sell them. I've also gotten no receipt for the purchase. My advice is to AVOID THIS BUSINESS, will be contacting BBB.

The order was placed on July 2nd and now its Aug. 04, and the only new information I received was that the frames are on backorder. How can they be on backorder if they are discontinued? Ordered a pair of Persol sunglasses at a great price and top notch service. The product is quality, but may need some adjustment for the right temple arm as it appears loose where it connects to the lens frame and it's not merely a screw at the temple, it wiggles and it shouldn't. Not ideal but I hope I can get that fixed by my local optical shop. UPDATE 10/6/2020: Changed this to 5 Stars -- reached out to Designer Optics and we arranged a replacement. Replacement arrived quickly and is in perfect condition highly recommend.

Bought a pair of Vogue 4106SM sunglasses from their website before realizing that they were knock-offs, as you can clearly see from the pictures. The first image is from Designer Optics, they didn't even use the right font to try to rip off the Vogue logo. The second image is from Vogue. At least canceling the order was easy enough. This definitely isn't legal. If you do a Google search you can find other people saying the same thing about knock-offs being sold from their website.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM - they will not complete the order I paid for and continue to claim an item was delivered, when the package came but the item was not inside it. I have been contacting them for over 2 months trying to get a refund, but they will not help me. They don't have a phone number to call - only email and they never say anything new or helpful. I filed a police report on a lost package with this company. I have done everything they asked me to do on a lost package procedure. I purchased a pair of Salvatori Ferragamo sunglasses for myself about a year ago and paid about $500 elsewhere! My daughter has always loved my sunglasses, but I wasn’t going to spend that much money for a pair of sunglasses for her since she is a teenager. But designer optics offers the same exact sunglasses I have for half the cost! I wish I would have found them sooner and purchased mine from them! And get this, they also have prescription lenses available which worked out perfectly because my daughter just recently started wearing glasses herself. The representative took all of my daughters prescription information from the eye doctor and help me place the order over the telephone and help me select the correct lenses for these particular frames. This was a five-star experience and purchase!

Horrible. I ordered glasses for my daughter on 12/20/21. These were listed on their site as instock and will ship within 7 days... after 10 days I sent an email inquiring about the status. I was I formed they were on backorder and would ship the following week. The following week came and went and I sent another email, the response I received was that they were unable to fill the order and were asking the manufacturer to fill it.. The next week I sent an email requesting either my order or a refund. I was refunded. Absolutely AWFUL service. Obviously no one k own what's in stock, what's not, where it us or when it might be in. Ordered Tom Ford TF 0367 sunglasses and was ecstatic when I received them. They looked great and the authenticity indicators were all there (researched how to spot Tom Ford fakes on Google). Fast forward two months later of lightly wearing them (mostly on weekends) and the white text indicating the model number and "made in Italy CE" inside of the temples has started to fade. I emailed them about the fading text on the temples asking for a refund and they offered to exchange them free of charge. Will see if these were just manufacturer defect.

Absolute joke of a company. Ordered Costa Del Mar sunglasses 7 months ago at about 50% off what Costa lists them for. Order was never filled as you can imagine stating they were backordered. Never communicated that to me, I had to email multiple times to get answers. Finally Costa has them in stock and magically they have been discontinued by Designer Optics now. They won't honor the price for a pair they have in stock either. Told me it would cost $25 more for a pair. Finally I agreed to pay the difference to be done with the 7 month process and their response back was it will actually be $82 more.... What a joke of a company. Designer Optics had exactly what I was looking for. I recently purchased expensive new lenses for frames that I had for a while. Then yesterday those frames broke and I did not want to just throw away my recently purchased lenses. So I searched on line and found the exact same frames as the ones that broke which will enable me to put those lenses into my new Designer Optics frames. Although I reside in Canada, the price of the new frames was so reasonable that, even factoring in the exchange, the frames were still cheaper than anything I could get elsewhere, including Canada.

Terrible non-existent customer service. I ordered glasses 3 .5 weeks ago. UPS shows a driver attestation for delivery to my porch with no signature ( porch not visible from the road) but I have not received the glasses. I have e-mailed and left voice-mails for Designer Optics with no response over the past 2 weeks. They are on extended holiday, apparently. Save yourself the aggravation and shop elsewhere. 10.3.21 Update: I received an e-mail from ,"Gitty", on 10.1.21 stating that my order was shipped via USPS ( as opposed to the first confirmation that stated my order was shipped via UPS) and if I don't have the package file a claim with USPS. He's done his job and now it's my problem; not theirs. So much for responsibility and customer service. Yet, I am legally advised delivery responsibility is owned by the vendor and the shipper which would be Designer Optics and UPS. The tracking numbers for UPS and USPS, as advised by Designer Optics, oddly, are exactly the same. Obviously, this is an error and USPS confirms they have no such tracking number and UPS confirms the package was shipped through them. UPS has closed the claim concluding, upon driver attestation ( driver's say so) the package was delivered on 9.15.21. I filed a claim with UPS on 9.19.21 and rec'd a call from UPS on 9.29.21. The customer service person affirmed they could not confirm the delivery to my porch and would so report that. She went on to say they have a new driver in my area who is "struggling". Her words, not mine. In the meantime, my HSA has paid for my frames in full as of 9.12.21..almost $300.00. UPS reopened the claim this morning, upon my request. You can see why I can not recommend this company to anyone and from reading other reviews, there are many customers who have experienced the same ill treatment.

I recently ordered a pair of Dior Montaigne 30 sunnies online. The ordering and shipping time was seamless, however the the sunglasses case was not the right size. I contacted Customer Support three (3) times to request a larger replacement sunglasses case and was given the run around. I also supplied photos (per Customer Support's request) to support my concern, but never heard back. I also called their main line on seperate occasions and got an automated recording saying that they're closed due to the holiday. Happy with my purchase but their customer service needs work.

Honestly, I didn't have high expectations for ordering progressive lenses online. I only did it because they were cheap and thanks to my great dane puppy, who has eaten 2 boxes of contact lenses and 2 pairs of glasses and I got tired of buying very expensive chew toys. Also I ordered incorrectly, but contacted customer service and they fixed things right away and refunded me although it was entirely my fault. Now for the glasses. They arrived today and are perfect! The process of choosing the glasses were fairly easy. There were no hidden cost, which was great. I would have liked to see the form for insurance reimbursement when I started the process, as opposed to navigating through the website to find it myself. I also wasn't a fan of having to download an entire app to track my glasses being shipped. It would be nice if they could cut out that middle step. I did inquire about my glasses after a few days and was told they would be arriving soon. I would've preferred at least a time window. Don't waste your time, it has been over two months and I still don't have my sunglasses. The first pair shipped which were a child's size and the ground the lenses to the wrong size so they didn't stay in the frames. After getting a hold of them they wouldn't refund my money. After a lot of arguing back and forth the "best they could do for me" was to make me a different pair which I had to pay another $45 dollars for, they wanted $65 more but after more arguing they said they could do it for $45. Never have I ordered from a company who cares so little about there customers. It has been the worst online shopping experience I have ever had.

I strongly recommend others not to order anything online from this store. Otherwise, be prepared to pay if there is any issue. I ordered the glasses, whose description says "black-black" when I receive it, the color is "black-gold", gold in the bridge area. I finally gotten to an actual good representative, i was told they never order my frames for me and i have to wait another two weeks. I cancel order and guess what pop back up on their website? Very frustrated customer here. I bought 4 sunglasses. I only received 2 of them. 1 is defective. I received an email that other 2 are currently back ordered. Design Optical is a fraudulent business that is running a scam by charging you for a product that they do not deliver. Two weeks after my order was placed, I had not received a confirmation email or tracking for the glasses I ordered. I emailed the company asking to cancel my order and issue a refund. They claimed that the product had been shipped and returned to them because the address was false. The correct address was listed on my original order. I requested a refund and that they not ship the product again. I was told that it would be issued in 5 business days. I waited…no refund. I called they said they had to wait to receive the glasses from the postal service (mind you they said they received it back in our first conversation). I have since tried calling for the last 2 weeks and I am now getting sent to auto-message indicating they have been on holiday everyday. DO NOT DO IT. Pay the extra and buy from a legitimate business. I will be reporting them as FRAUD.

Wow so I ordered a pair of sunglasses for my boyfriend on Nov 23rd and I still haven’t received them. I tried contacting customer support to ask when they would be shipped and they proceeded to let me know they didn’t have the sunglasses in stock and therefore are waiting for the manufacturer to ship them to them before shipping them to me. God knows why they didn’t tell me that in the first place before I paid for the glasses. I wouldn’t have ordered that pair if I knew I would be waiting this long. Don’t order anything from these people!!! Sounds like people wait months for their orders!! Maybe tell your customers you actually have the glasses in stock before letting them buy them. Also I checked today to see if they changed the website to say they are back ordered and of course it doesn’t!! Get your website together and stop lying to your customers.

my purchase experience from here was horrible. shipping took more than a week because they did not had it, and back-ordered it. that was fine. I could wait. However, what I received was damaged. so I returned it. they deducted a 20% from my refund, saying the item was damaged. of course, you got damaged item because you sent me damaged item! Do not buy any eyeglasses from here unless you wanna waste your money. they sent me a picture showing that there were scratches on it which means there was another issue on the eyeglasses that I didnt notice.(I returned it because one of the temple of the eyeglasses was bent.) Remember it is your responsibility, not this store, to check and let them know every issues on their item, even though they send the damaged item to you without inspecting it before shipping it. in short, if you return a item without noticing other issues and telling them other than the one you find, you will be charged with damaged fee which is 20% of its price.

They can not tell me where they are or when they are due in or even offer to exchange for another pair. No customer service on this companies part. Don't do business with this company!!! I was impressed with delivery time until I got home to find one of the three items there when the email said all of my questions were delivered. I then contacted customer service to let them know I hadn't received two on my pairs of eyeglasses. I was impressed again when they responded so quickly via email. I was then told it would be a week for one pair and the end of the month for the other. Ok, surely they would let me try them all on and then return them once I received the last pair... NOPE! They sent me the link to their return policy and said it was enforced strictly. So, if you want to see how they all look on you first, don't order from them! There are many websites out there that aren't much more expensive and a lot of them price match.

This website was easy to navigate. I needed a replacement frame for my prescription lens, and when I went to my opticians, they said the frame was no longer in their national inventory, and may have been discontinued by the manufacturer. After putting in the frame name and sizing details, Google gave me the websites that "supposedly" had the correct frame in stock, along with cost. While Designer Optics was not the cheapest, Google's search engine was not effective in noting the frame size difference in the offers, so the site with the cheapest frame didn't have the correct frame size for the lens (I know a 1-2 mm difference may not seem like much, but ...) So as I worked my way from cheapest up, Designer Optics came up. Their website was pretty straightforward, they had the option clearly marked to purchase the "frame only," or with lens, and then they were one of the few which offered free shipping, and a reasonably priced "shipping guarantee" if I wanted it. They also provided multiple options on shipping speed, if I needed the frames quickly. Overall, good job by Designer Optics, and I would probably should here again.

Worst online shopping experience I have ever had. Ordered and paid for sunglasses in the beginning of June and hadn’t received sunglasses for weeks so called to check on my order and was told they were back ordered until July 10. Was not informed whatsoever. July 10 passed and again no sunglasses or order information. Called again and was told the end of July. First week of September now and still no sunglasses! Again no communication from them about my order and had to call again to be told they were now backordered until September 18. Same trend as before no sunglasses no communication. Called again and then this time was informed that the frames were discontinued! My order was still open and they still had my money! At no point during this fiasco was there any communication from them at all and in the end I literally had to ask for my money back. Was told I could get a price match or large discount for a different pair but the only pair of similar sunglasses were $45 more and they said they would only give me 5% and asked for $37 more than what I had originally paid. At this point I’m pretty sure this website is a scam!

Beware, do or order from them! This company is a scam. Very shady communication, no confirmation numbers after ordering, emails from customer service don’t have any names or phone numbers on them. Looks like a child wrote them. Shady return process - company does not provide shipping labels even for a payment, you have to figure out your own shipping back and pay extra for signature confirmation; cost me $13. I returned my order within the 14 days return window, following all the instructions and a month later still no refund. 3 emails later requesting my money back. Once, someone replied they can’t find my order - well, I have a receipt with tracking number showing it was delivered and signed for. No response to my other emails. I’m shocked this “business” still operates, and have a hard time believing all the positive reviews. Update: After another unanswered email, I called customer service. Half an hour hold later, I was told they didn’t receive my return. Then after I said I have USPS receipt with tracking number, turned out return glasses were in fact received. I was promised a refund by the end of the day ( don’t have it yet on my bank account a day later). Today I received a phone call from Designer Optics asking me to remove this review. Well, my experience with this company was indeed an awful one, and the fact that I was finally promised a refund a month later after fighting for it does not make my experience any better. Surprising how fast the company contacts you after seeing a negative review - may be try responding to customers requests that quick to begin with :) Update #2 - response to Designer Optics comment. This is not true - my first email inquiring the status of refund was on 4/20. Second one was on 4/23, and your response to that email was “Thank you for contacting Designer Optics! We have received your inquiry. Our usual response time is within one business day”. That’s it. No responses or refund after that. I called you on May 3rd because refund still wasn’t issued, and that’s when I was told you don’t have the returned glasses. They were “found” after I said I have the mailing receipt. i promised the refund then - but didn’t receive it until May 7th (and it wasn’t because of the bank, I spoke with them as well). According to your email to me sent on May 6th, the time stamp if the refund issue was May 3rd. Looks like you are contradicting yourself :)

I shopped yesterday. Everything is very vague. I selected free shipping but I have no idea what that means. No expected delivery date. From the wording once I placed my order it seems like you are not buying them from Designer Optics directly but from a third party and DO is only a marketplace. I have my reservations about the authenticity which I'll check once I get them (who knows when) although nowhere it says free returns and they do have to be approved once you submit a form so I'll bet those are a bit of a nightmare. We'll see :) so far nothing concrete and my refund hasn't been issued from a canceled order I placed before.

Only retailer I have dealt with that doesn't have an extended Christmas return/exchange policy. Poor customer service. I purchased an item on Black Friday and received my order 2 weeks later. I gifted the item on Christmas and now need to return or exchange it for an item that fits. The retailer refused to accommodate my request and offered no options: "We are unable to accept your return because it is past the 14 day time frame that we allow for returns. Please be advised that in order for us to maintain our low prices, the 14 day return policy is strictly enforced. When I insisted on an exchange or store credit, this was their reply: "We regret to inform you, but we strictly follow our 14 days return policy." Needless to say, I won't buy from this company again and advise my friends and family to never do business with them.

Here we are 10 days later order still not delivered by Designer Optics to UPS for shipping. I placed an online order on April 7, 2021 for the Versace Luxottica Sunglasses model 2220 Gold - Grey color code 100287. Item was delivered on April 10, 2021 upon opening the box I noticed that the Versace box & case looked weathered as if the item had been stored improperly. The glasses were too big for my face, and the nose pads were shaking as opposed to being stable. Needless to say I found the merchandise to be of unsatisfactory quality, therefore I completed & submitted the online return form for a full refund. Waiting for the company to respond.

A great review for any company is of course Pros and Cons, Let me explain. The cons are suppose to help the company build and make there service twice as better then what it was. In this case there is no cons at all. I called the customer service line and they provided me with a time frame on how long I’ll be waiting and they reminded me every few second how long I have left. I have anxiety and not that much patients so that really did help me a lot! Thank you (The rep was also very informed about products on their site and gave me detailed information on how long back order will take and what does out of stock really mean) Shopping online was quick and easy they didn’t ask much questions they gave me a wide selection of delivery options along side pricing. The email confirmation was sent to me ASAP. All I have to say is thank you guys and please keep the company running I am blind as a bat but I love my name brand glasses! Sadly unable to give a negative number of stars. Company did not alert me the product I ordered was out of stock. They charged me a fee to expedite the order despite receiving a different product (really needed frames for my child) 3 weeks after promised. Had to wait on hold with customer service 40 min to find out my product was on backorder. Emails only said they had not forgotten about my order. Customer service promised the alternate frame was in stock and they would overnight it to arrive by the weekend, before a big trip. Kiddo had to wear taped frames on vacation as the overnight delivers was shipped over 1 1/2 weeks later. Best of all, no returns allowed. One of the worst companies ever. Please save yourself the headache and buy from someone who will at least tell you the truth.

I've placed and order on Sept 16, next day received email that item was shipped, then a day later I started getting several emails in a row that I quote 'We’re just writing to let you know that we’ve got your order, and your glasses are going to be on their way soon. " Then another one" We didn’t forget about your order" and nothing since then. Just to put it in perspective today is Oct 7 already. Been trying to get a hold of them on the phone and it is like pulling teeth. First, they were closed for the holidays, then they aren't open on Fri.... Calling them and getting into the que, first you are #20, then you are #14 and in another 30 min you are again #20. Till you eventually give up. Today after spending god knows how long, but I was able to get though. Come to find out the frames that I ordered are on the back order for another 1-2 weeks. When I asked why wasn't I notified, I was told in a very rude manner that it isn't in their policy to notify customers when item is on the back order. So charging my card right away is in the policy but making me wonder where are my glasses for month+ is a good Customer Care practice? Cancelled my order and will never again go back.

Price point is awesome for sunglasses, and lots of designer choices. The only problem, I had a question and called. I waited over 45 minutes to speak to customer service, but if you are confident in what you want then you shouldn’t have a problem. Website was user friendly with lots of information about products.

I’m not sure where these reviews are from but service is very disappointing. Quality of glasses may be fine but that’s credit to the manufacturer. This retailer is very unprofessional or maybe it’s just their workers on the telephone and email. Very unhelpful with no real attempt to help. It’s like they’re giving me generic answers from a template with barely any connection to my concern. Would’ve expected better customer service at the very least given they sell “designer” stuff.

In general an Online experience was okay. I didn’t have any problems, till I got my prescription glasses. I must say that I don’t suggest to sell prescription glasses if you can give a great service. I understand that always will be some adjustments, but should I wait for my glasses 5 weeks. Definitely don’t suggest for people who are in rush. And the customer center is to busy. Frame is okay.

My dog ate my prescription sunglasses that I had worn and loved for 8 years. They were the perfect sunglasses! I was so upset and thought I would never find them again since I had them so long. Horrible experience. Ordered glasses on 8/4, didn’t even get an order number or confirmation. But keep receiving emails that we haven’t forgot about you. 3 weeks n nothing about an order number or tracking number. I call and they say item is out of stock when on their site they clearly state in stock. False advertising and then they say it may ship next week. Then I ask can you overnight it since I’ve had to wait for 3 weeks without any communication and the lack of service. Then I’m told well overnight is expensive and you will need to pay. Then I’m like you guys false advertise something being in stock and then don’t even communicate it and want me to pay for faster shipping, then the rep quickly states she can change to priority mail. Very bad experience, I literally ordered glasses from Spain on the same day n had it less then a week. This vendor is in NY which is a 5-6hr drive from me and it’s gonna take almost a month. For a company that prioritizes on great customer service, might be time to go back to drawing board cause this is not good service at all.

We are waiting for the delivery, my girl can't wait...So far, I could say great experience at Designer Optics website!

They also provide insurance option with which I can make sure my order can be safely arrived. The returning policy sounds reasonable to me, so this time I decided to have my new pair purchased online.

The first time I ordered from Designer Optics I received my frame within 2 weeks and it was exactly what I wanted, however the second time ordering the exact same frame, I have been waiting 6 weeks now with no help from Designer Optics. I now have to wait another 2 weeks just for their claim to be made with the courier and no other help offered on their part. I understand things get lost and this is a risk you take when ordering online, however the lack of service or resolution offered is pathetic, not to mention rude and abrupt emails from Designer Optics who then refuse to respond to any of my emails as soon as I request a refund. There are a number of online frame and sunglass distributers available. I would highly suggest using one of them and NOT Designer Optics.

I chose next day air for $28 ordered it Thursday night and I’m very disappointed it won’t be delivered until Monday at 9? It really was no sense in paying the extra!

I ordered some frames from Designer Optic on Dec. 30, 2020 and received confirmation of my order right away. An hour later, I received my USPS tracking number from them. When viewing my tracking number in the USPS website, it did say, "Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS, USPS Awaiting Item", then at 10:35 PM it said, "Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item BROOKLYN, NY 11205". All this means is Designer Optics had created the shipping label but the package was still not in the USPS facility. Why do I give such detail? I read a lot, and I mean A LOT of bad reviews about packages not making it, not receiving confirmation emails, etc. So, I was following closely everything that was going on with this shipment. Despite the bad reviews, I gave them a shot. Why? Because I did get a really good deal, I paid with PayPal, and I paid the <$2 for shipping insurance. If anything went wrong, I was going to file a claim with PayPal. But, fortunately everything was great and quick! I requested text messages from USPS, so on Dec. 31st at 1:58 PM, I received a text that said, "Shipment Received, Package Acceptance Pending 12/31/2020 4:43pm BROOKLYN NY 11205" and on Jan 1st at 12:16 AM I received a text that said, "Expected Delivery by Wednesday, January 6, 2021 by 9:00pm". Yes, USPS sent me a Happy New Year text in their own way...By then I knew for sure USPS had my package and I kept receiving text updates on where my shipment was. (Note, if you decide to receive the text messages, you may receive text messages in the middle of the night, so if you are a light sleeper, put your phone on silent.) On Jan 6th, I received my last text "Delivered, In/At Mailbox 01/06/2021 2:53pm". In conclusion, I had a great experience. The email confirmation was prompt and the tracking number was received an hour later, and they delivered my package to the post office the next day. From there it was in the hands of the USPS, and that went well, too. My two suggestions would be: 1. Pay with PayPal 2. Receive the text messages from USPS so you can keep track of your package (don't forget to silence your phone at night). I only ordered the frames, so unfortunately I can't say anything about their prescription lenses. But as far as the frames go, they look legit. I have a few Prada frames and they have the same box, and have the same characteristics to identify legitimate Prada eyewear. For my next glasses, if Designer Optics has the best value again, I will order from them, again. In the photos, the one on the left are my old Prada's, ight side are the new Prada's. The photo showing the nose pads will show that both pairs say "Prada" which is one way to tell if they are legitimately Prada.

I stumbled across this website by chance, looking for a frame that I loved at my optometrist, but waaay overpriced. Low and behold I found the EXACT frame that I was looking for for hundreds less!! (I couldn’t believe it) I ordered immediately and waiting the arrival. I hope to be just as pleased with the product as I was with the price.

Awesome experience! Honestly, I was skeptical of whether this site was legit at first- it felt too good to be true considering the price point. The Versace sunnies I ordered are gorgeous! They came in the genuine Versace box with a case, authentication tag, and a lens wipe! This is my first pair of real designer glasses and I’m so pleased! My order came quickly and is in perfect condition. I’ll be using this website again and again!
