I am writing this review on behalf of my husband who likes to be very expeditious when it comes to shopping. He needed sunglasses and in 8 minutes he had the sunglasses he needed. The staff were very helpful. Equally, I've purchased two sets of sunglasses with Optical Excellence, I was fitted to a fabulous pair of designer sunglasses that were so unique and fun. Love them!

Fast and very friendly service. They repaired my glasses in minutes and charged me very little for the work. I went back again a year later for a repair on another pair of glasses and the service was consistently excellent. They saved me a lot of money on glasses that I thought I would have to replace! I definitely recommend them.

I wish I could give more stars. Fixed my broken screw without charges. The glass is originally from Rideau Laurier Optical, and they broke my screws and tell me they can do nothing about it :) so I cannot have any nose pads. Thanks to Optical Excellence, hummable and skillful to repair it with a blink of eyes. Guys, if you need anything for optical, make sure to check it out. You need a good one, and here is the real legit one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have used Optical Excellence for over 18 years now. Optical Excellence has a fabulous and unique selection of eyewear frames to choose from. They uses very high quality lenses and takes time to understand my eye wear/lenses need. I have used their services for over 18 years and have always had an above excellent experience. Customer services by Wendy and Bruce and all the staff at Optical Excellence is above excellence. I feel that there needs to be a six star rating for Optical Excellence!! I am so grateful for their service and feel that my eye care is in perfect hands.

I dont live in Ottawa but I will be coming back to optical excellence from now on! A part of my metal frames broke which made them crooked on my face, so they always fell off. I had them like this for a few months and tried several things to fix it but nothing could keep them together. I booked an appointment with Optical Excellence with little hope for them to be fixed but everyone there made it so easy. In minutes they were fixed! My glasses fit on my face perfectly again. They wont be falling off anytime soon. I highly recommend Optical Excellence for any glasses needing a fix. Even if they can't fix the problem they are definitely the kind of people to help you find a solution or refer you to someone who can fix it. Excellent customer service. They all seem to be very kind and lovely people. They were also very good at communicating when booking the appointment, quick at responding and clear. I even found some frames to purchase which is amazing because I wanted new interesting glasses anyways. I'd say check them out!

I had a really great experience at Optical Excellence: I have some unusual frames (solid wood) that I'd bought in Europe and that I'd been having trouble finding someone to work on in Ottawa (my optometrist's lab wouldn't do it), also a high minus prescription. Bruce (and other staff) was able to do a great job working with me to fill this prescription & explaining the complexities, and produced a really nice pair of lenses that fit well into the frames despite the challenge, and also did it extremely quickly. Even if you don't have weird frames, if you're more used to (like I was) dealing with an optometrist's office that contracts with a lab, I'd recommend giving this place a shot, where you can actually talk to the optician and better understand the process. Pricing was competitive (they actually gave me a discount on the extremely high index lenses needed for these frames + my prescription, because there wasn't really a choice). Their selection of frames seemed pretty interesting as well, hope to return here next time I need some frames to take a closer look.

I am a clothing designer and often recommend clients and friends to visit Optical Excellence when they need frames and lenses. Bruce handcrafts lenses and they are like bespoke clothing - made to fit properly. Today, however, was an over the moon experience. I took a good friend who was having problems with her glasses and needed new ones. The frames chosen by the whole crew at Optical Excellence weren't just lovely - they reflected my friend's personality beautifully. Gorgeous. Her comment a few hours later was, "I don't even feel like I'm wearing glasses!" So, next time you need glasses just ask and trust their advice. You won't regret it. I walked in one day and asked for professional, classy, cute, different, fun, and a pair of reading glasses that looked like me. I died laughing when Bruce gave me a pair that had a a round lens and a square lens. The round lens was in the square and the square lens in the round. I tried on approximately 10 pairs and that choice of Bruce's was the ONE!! I am a Hotel Manager and this glasses is so unusual and funky that I make awesome tips! Compliments! I must give a big thump up! This morning, I was visiting another store for repairing a broken glasses arm. But they said they can not help with it. I am just walking down the street to Optical Excellence, I left my broken glasses there and didn't expect it can be fixed either. But, NO WAY, it turns out perfect fixed! The guy is very responsible and he double checks to see if it need adjustments. Nonetheless, They were asking NO charge on it! I insist to give some pays. Honestly, their value added on should be way more than the number I gave! I really thank Optical Excellence and it makes my day!
