The doctor is a real expert, he did good measurements during my eye exam. But, the store has bad customer service on many levels..

The Truth

Very hospitable staff and courteous, however, when my fiance and I went for her prescription we were told it hadn't changed from 4 years prior. She continued to have headaches and blurry vision, so we went to a different optometrist who informed her that her prescription had changed so much that she could no longer use plastic frames as the lenses she needs now are too thick. The lack of testing and listening could have led to more dangerous results for her vision if she continued to use the prescription as was instructed. I'd go somewhere else if looking to get a checkup.

The store was busy yet one employee visited with her friend and a young baby while I waited 80 minutes for a "five minute repair". The replacement arm for my glasses took six weeks to come in, I was lucky that I had a spare pair of glasses. Don't waste your money on Transitions lens for your glasses. They do not work as advertised, you will still need sunglasses for driving. The lens turn dark quickly but can take 15+ minutes to become clear. Do not use Nelms directions for cleaning your glasses, you will put very fine scratches on the lens which after a few years require you to replace your glasses.

I highly recommend this optical place . This was my first time ever buying glasses . They were very friendly. Patient and answered all of my questions .

I will never use this lace again. The lady with the pony tail on to of her head made things worse for my mother and than when i went back to talk to her about what had happened she wouldn't come out but she send the guy to brush me off. She also told me that it was impossible to get an eye exam doe to the doctors strike bit i went somewhere also and they did it right away. To me their customer service sucks. I whole family ise to think very highly of Nelms but after todaythat is all gone. It only takès one bad experience to ruined everything. I WILL NEVER RECOMEND THIS PLACE AGAIN TO ANYONE. .

Went in today to look at glasses, he offered to tighten mine. Broke both arms, said he couldn’t help me to get parts cause I didn’t buy them there. Sent me away. Horrible business practice do not use.

Friendly and helpful staff! The frame on my Raybans was bent and the lens popped out. The gentleman there was kind enough to reshape the frame, put the lens back in, tighten all the screws and clean them. All of this was done free of charge. Very happy with the service and my sunglasses have never felt better.

Highland Wilderness STABLE and TOURS

Amazing service and excellent people who work with you. They were able to fit us in at the last minute to get a critical eye exam done, so that my husband could get his A license in time for our holiday. We had no idea he needed glasses that badly, and not only did they fit him in but they got him his glasses in an hour after his appointment. Really great service, lots of things to do while you wait. The Dr, the receptionist, and the service and sales people were all excellent. Thank you so much! We really appreciated you going above and beyond!

Even during the Covid pandemic they had a technician going into the store periodically to ensure orders made before shutdown were being contacted. We are so glad we didnt have to wait months ahead for our glasses. We went and picked then up today. Contactless. Lol. Thanks so much tean

My daughter and I went for our eye exam tonight at Nelms. Fantastic experience, we were treated with respect and made to feel very welcome. The front desk staff, Brian, Kirsten, Christine and Teri have all served us in the past and tonight, as always, were very helpful. We bought two new pair of glasses, the staff helped my daughter pick a beautiful frame, that fit well, and a fantastic case. I have one very happy little girl. Thank you Nelms and we look forward to recieving our new glasses once they are made.

Totally disappointed. Had the first sales person that I thought was helping me walk away to help another person. Then the second brush me out of the way to get to another person. Apparently no one wanted my business.
