I had a positive experience my first time here a couple years ago. But I have had extreme difficulty getting in contact with anybody at the store as of recent. When I finally get somebody on the phone yesterday they basically tried to get rid of me. I need new glasses because my old frames broke (I have no spare glasses to wear and need them to drive). I said I wanted to buy new frames but the guy essentially tried to get rid of me before I could ask for my prescription. Guess I'm giving up and going elsewhere.

Had a very poor experience with the Village Mall location. After seeing their "walk-ins welcome" sign, I went in just to be told they didn't do walk ins and I would have to wait close to a month for an appointment. After taking their card and calling the number that was on the card, I made an appointment that I would have to wait a month for. I showed up for my appointment and was told they didn't have any appointments made for that time as there wasn't even a doctor in. They only have doctors in on Thursday evenings and Saturdays. The lady at the counter was very rude, telling me I must have called a wrong number multiple times even though I showed her the card and told her I made an appointment at this location for said time. There wasn't even a doctor at the location at the time so I was left without an appointment. I also had government issued insurance that they said they "weren't set up to take yet" even though the location has been open going on 2 months. So I've wasted over a month trying to get my eyes checked and they wouldn't have even taken my insurance anyways. Ive had nothing but a bad experience here and would definately not recommend it.

The customer service here is excellent. The employees will make sure you have the glasses that make you feel most confident and comfortable in. You feel welcome as soon as you enter the store. I recommend this place to everyone!

Oh my God, best experience ever getting a new pair of glasses. Went in the wrong day for the Optometrist she was not in on Wednesday. My own fault for not calling first, however the staff suggested pick out the glasses and see the Dr. Tomorrow sounded like a plan. Well never had so much fun time picking out glasses before. The selection was awesome wall to wall frames. Biggest selection ever, something for everyone top styles and brands. I purchased 2 for less than the price of one. Well the staff the friendliest, fun and very professional people you could meet. Then when the manager came out he tried everyway he could to accomendate my limited funds to purchase the glasses I really wanted and looked fabulous. Well the whole staff helped me find what I needed . Then the next day went back in to have my eyes examined, never had such an extensive eye exam in my life. Took approximately half an hour. Cannot wait to be finally pick up my new glasses. Going to be looking so fine walking out of the store. " And You know Gotta Wear Shades" I would really like to thank the very friendly professional staff at "Hakim Optical". Thank you all I really appreciate your Excellent Customer .Services.

Excellent service at a great price. Asked for a very specific color tint for my glasses. Originally they were unsure if they would be able to get that color for thin lenses and asked me to choose an alternative but surprised me the day of pickup with the original color I requested. Very happy with my purchase. Will be getting my glasses from here from here on out. Five stars.

So happy I stopped at Hakim! I got an awesome pair of Armani frames and SV360 HD lenses with blue filters. Mike was a fantastic help and provided me with the advice and expertise I needed to make the right decision. Coming from Essilor, Nikon and Zeiss optics, I'm very excited to try Hakim's lense technologies. Fantastic selection of brand name frames to. Headed back for sunglasses.

I have been to many places around the st.john's area looking at glasses I have yet to purchase a pair. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone the selection of frames and the options for lenses is amazing. secondly the man who was serving me, Mike I believe was his name was gave me the best service I had received out of all the places I have visited, he was completely honest with helping me choose the right frame and lens for me very friendly and knowledgeable. The only reason I give this a 4 star review not a 5 is because I went back to purchase my glasses and the store was closed, being in a mall environment I would have expected it to be open to mall hours I was disappointed to learn that it closes before the mall and isn't open on Sunday's at all. This is a great place with great staff but should consider a change in hours.

Beautiful atmosphere, very knowledgeable friendly staff, that goes above and beyond to help their customers. great selection on frames and they are alway receiving new frames so keep checking back you will definitely find what you are looking for. Prices beat other competitors. This was my first time there and the friendliness of the staff made me book several other appointments for my family/kids.. They definitely have us as customers from here on!

No one in store....I need service / have questions about frames that broke recently. The sign on the door says by appointment only, but when I call the phone rings in the store that has nobody in there. How does that make any sense?! I have been trying to call for 3 straight days and there has been no reply. You're better off going elsewhere because if there is ever an issue there is ZERO chance of getting service. I know covid has messthings up, but this store is on a whole different level. Complete shut down and nobody available to help of answer calls. Go try Vouge optiical

This place made my day ???????????????? I called yesterday morning June 10/19 and made an eye appointment, they booked me in for 4pm for June 11/19 and I couldn't have asked for better service if I wanted to.....they went above and beyond. I drive for a living so I was just about crushed when they weren't able to have my glasses ready for tomorrow before work but low and behold they did everything they could and searched till they found what they were looking for.......I had my eye exam @ 4pm and just before 6pm I had one of my 2 new pairs of glasses on. Absolutely fantastic fantastic service from them all especially Scott and Mike who went above and beyond to make this happen ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
