I have been wearing glasses for 24 years. Never have I learned so much about my glasses. They were so thorough in every thought! Even had me do the shake test in front of them. Like, wow. I also paid less than 50% on the pairs I got. I would swear to emphasise how happy I am with them. Now for the order to come in so I can try them on!!

I went in to get a small repair to the arm of a pair of prescription sunglasses. Often a screw needs to be tightened, replaced or the arm adjusted. I own approx 8 prescription glasses and take care of them. The staff at this store were only interested in getting my signature on a waiver. I've never been asked this before. I get this done all the time. Sometimes I'm charged other times I'm not. That doesn't matter. I know where I won't be buying my next pair of prescription glasses.

I walked in off the street, got an appointment right away, got glasses in less than 24 hours. I realized that the pair I'd bought from another office (Not Hakim) has been the wrong Rx...and did it ever feel good to be able to see! I asked for advice about contact lenses, and they were very thorough in their explanation (since I'd had previous laser eye surgery). They provided a 5-day trial of daily wear lenses to allow me to test them out. A few weeks later, I tried the lenses and one got stuck to my eye. I couldn't get it out and was very uncomfortable. Again, I walked in off the street, and the store manager very expertly and painlessly removed the lens. (She acknowledged that it was 'suctioned on there pretty good," and helped me not to feel completely ridiculous while she was at it.) I won't be going anywhere else - these guys have 5 stars in my book!

Although after only 13 months I don't feel I should have had to take my frames in for repair, the gal that greeted me was more than willing to fix them (for the 3rd time) and try to ensure it would last this time. Thank you.

I ordered 2 pair of glasses September 29. The sales person told me I would have them in a week. I contacted the Stoney Creek outlet to find out the status of my glasses October 11, and was told they would be ready early the next week. It is now end of day October 18 and no glasses. I tried to contact the complaint department. No response. I truly suggest you don't buy from this company.

I contacted this location to see if an Optician at this store would be able to adjust a pair of eyeglasses for me. According to the representative on the phone, they only adjust glasses that are from their stores due to warranties. I explained to the representative that I would not hold them accountable or liable if they were to damage the glasses. I then had spoken to the optician on the line and they went on to explain that in doing this, they are putting the opticians license on the line, but have no problem adjusting glasses for a fee of $50. If this is the case, this is very unethical and can easily be taken up with the college. Might I add, I am a past customer of theirs and they're still not willing to help an existing client. Don't bother coming to this location. Lens crafters has much better frames/lenses, will adjust any frames with no additional cost and their customer service is by far more superior.

I booked an appointment as Hakim is well known. The male and female staff here barely speak. They complete the job with no customer service skills. I had to keep asking questions n. They completed the routines silently. I inquired abut some additional options on my frames. After picking two for a deal my total was wrong. The female sales associate couldn't figure out the correct total with everything and ended up over charging me. Still barely speaking. The wait time was estimated at three weeks. My frames were in after a week. They fit and were comfortable. However once again barely speaking they handed me my two frames WITHOUT cleaning cloths, eye glass cleaner and the cases barely fit the glasses. Will definitely not return. I love my frames but the service here was disappointing after spending quite a bit on frames. Also: Not once did I notice the male worker sanitize his hands after opening the door before touching my frames, even after he adjusted it. I went home and cleaned with Lysol as we are currently going through a pandemic. Hopefully your experience is better.

Had an eye exam appointment, upon arrival to it I was notified that the optometrist had an emergency and that I would have to reschedule. I entirely understand that emergencies happen, that is certainly understandable. What is not acceptable, is that I was not contacted by anyone to notify me that my appointment must be rescheduled; I had arranged a ride because if they had used dilution drops I would not have been able to drive - thus having an acquaintance put aside their priorities in order to drive me there and back. Not impressed, especially considering this is a fairly new location and should be putting far more effort in to acquiring as well as maintaining clients. I have always been with Hakim, since seven years old matter of fact, and now I suppose I would prefer to spend the extra time to go to a different location rather than deal with another possible occurrence of unprofessionalism.

My family has been purchasing glasses from Dawn the optician for many years and will continue to do so. Dawn and her team have always treated my family professionally and most importantly have provided exceptional service in determining the proper eyewear for all of us. We live in Mississauga but will still travel to get our eyewear from her store. We have recommended her to our neighbors and friends and they have the same thoughts. Keep the good work!

Great job! Thanks for the fast and courteous service. My son needed glasses in a hurry as he had a bit of an infection in his eyes from wearing his contacts too much and he was leaving for university in the morning. They managed to get him 2 pairs in a hour. Great job. Thank you.

My teenage son broke the frame on his glasses and we were well out of the warranty period. He wanted the EXACT same frames and staff at this store called all across Canada to find them for him. We picked up the frames today and realized they came from Calgary! The staff went above and beyond to meet his needs. Thank you to all of you that called store after store to check if stock levels were accurate and bring in a pair.

Unprofessional. The first visit was ok, but during my next couple visit the attitude of woman in charge changed. She was snippy and rude. To make it worse was her interactions with her emplyees. She was belittling and talked down to them. Interrupted them while they were with customers to say stuff they already covered. I observed a toxic environment from a woman who shouldn't be in charge of people. I will not be returning to this location. The other employees were friendly and knowledgeable. I suggest this woman look into leadership courses.

I went in after having purchased glasses that were too large for me and causing me to have a goggle effect when I would look in my blind spot. Dawn the manager there went above and beyond to help me find a pair that fit me properly as I have a very narrow face. She even went as far as bringing in glasses from other locations for me to try on and they were great. :)

The store manager [Dawn] was extremely helpful, I was a bit of a difficult/picky customer and she (as well as her staff) went above and beyond to help me when I came into the store. Looking for a nice pair of designer glasses and sunglasses, I shopped around quite a bit as a number of the stores carry very little in store, and I actually chose to deal with her and her location directly despite it being much farther away from my residence then several other providers and even Hakim locations! Overall Exceptional service, would go back and recommend again!

I had an appointment there to get my eyes checked. The doctor, doctor Vinay Gupta was extremely rude. Made me pay pior to receiving the exam, was short and rude, told me my answers were wrong, and yelled at me to put my glasses back on because “I told you need glasses already, so put them on your face now” while shaking his head. Horrible customer service, I felt rushed the whole time as well. Gave me my prescription aggressively and told me to leave. He needs to realize that he shouldn’t blame his patients if he is having a bad day, it is not fair or humane. I want a full refund.
