I was in the city this weekend and decided to stop by Sunday afternoon on a whim from a suggestion of a local friend of mine. The nose piece on my glasses were both oily, dirty and one was broken. I was hoping they would be able to replace my nose supports, clean and adjust my glasses for me but was a bit shy and worried they may not be able to do so as I did not have an appointment. What happened next was unbelievable; right away when I walked in a lady who was helping someone else greeted me with a smile. I walked up to the counter and explained my situation to the lady at the desk. She took my glasses to the back and in about 15 minutes came back out with my glasses with new nose supports, freshly cleaned and assisted me with adjusting the frames to sit properly. The level of service I received from 3 for 1 was unbelievable! I felt welcomed and valued like I was family and VIP. This level of customer service is really unheard of in 2018. To Jenny; Keep Up The Great Work - Let Your Boss Know You Deserve A Raise!

Our 2 year old needs glasses (we have a prescription from the specialist), and we visited to choose frames. We were greeted with friendliness and directed to a children's rack and then ignored. We asked for help and were ignored. Customers came in after and us and were helped. We overheard the salespeople trying to push us on one another. Our toddler was quiet and sweet and not causing trouble. We received no assistance despite several more requests for help. They did have a large selection of children's glasses but no customer service whatsoever. Will not return.

Dennis helped my family and I each with picking a pair of glasses. He thoughtfully asked for our preferences in styles and narrowed our choices down - we get overwhelmed when there are too many choices so it is always nice to have the optician understand our needs then narrow our choices down to something we find stylish but also accommodate our prescription needs! We appreciate the time and effort he took to explaining the pros and cons of each feature that was possible to add onto our lens too! He was polite and friendly from start to finish and adjusted our glasses to fit comfortably on us. We are all very satisfied with our glasses, especially when I slept on mine for a few hours and the frame and lens did not break nor bend! Quality glasses and quality customer service and knowledgable optician! Thank you 3 for 1 glasses!

Thanks so much for helping me find frames to fit my old lens after I’ve been living with a self repaired pair of glasses for months. Now my husband will not be so embarrassed to be seen with me. Lol. The staff were nothing but pleasant and helpful.

I was not happy with being told im doing an eye exam wrong. How can one do an eye exam wrong? Cuz u have to choose which one is better right away and not see which one is better. Do not ask to view them again. It was a rush job. I went to my actual doctor and we realised I was prescribed a very strong lense thus why every time i put my 2 pairs of glasses on i feel sick. And my sunglasses i feel like the rooms spinning and judgement for driving is so bad i cant wear them for driving. Im honestly afraid to go back here as i dont feel comfortable. It wasnt a good deal for the frames either. I will stay with online or my doctor. This is my review i am not attacking anyone but giving my opinion on how i felt.

Incredible service! We happened upon them by accident because they were the only glasss store open later than most. They managed to get my husband’s glasses and sunglasses in just in time for a holiday as he’d left it last minute and when the sunglasses were mauled by a very naughty puppy, second day of the holiday, they were super understanding and took them in for repair under warranty! Couldn’t be happier! We’ve been helped by most of the lovely people that work there and every experience has been wonderful. Great quality glasses and great staff!

Came in to have some sunglasses cleaned that I did not purchase from here. (Non Prescription) Discovered that the lenses were infact scratched - Mike & staff showed me the lenses after removing them and offered to replace them for me free of charge. I brought in old used sunglasses and walked away with brand new lenses for free!!! They even cleaned my frames and gave me a cleaning kit. Needless to say they have fantastic customer service. Excellent service and the whole team here is very knowledgeable. Glasses selection is great and you will have tons of options to choose from. Can get glasses for any scenario. If you can't pick all 3 pairs at once they let you decide over months. Would highly recommend getting your next eye exam or pair(s) of glasses from these guys.

I came here a few weeks ago to shop for a new pair of glasses. I was very comfortable in the store knowing that each customer had a tray with the glasses they try on and that each pair is sanitized after. The selection of glasses here is great! After trying on a few pair of glasses I was unsure which to get, and the staff helped me by telling me which pair looked good on me. When I returned to pick up my new glasses the man was very nice and adjusted my glasses 3 times for me to make sure they fit well. I love my glasses so much and I think the style is so pretty!! I found the price to be affordable and will definitely return for my next pair!

Still the best place to go for glasses. All their staff has warm and inviting personalities which created a comfortable and pleasurable experience. Brenda, the women who assisted me, was extremely patient and helpful with choosing my glasses. I also appreciated all the precautions that they are taking to prevent the spread of Covid.

My daughter purchased a pair of glasses here in February after a terrible car accident. They had them ready within the hour. Yesterday they broke because she sat on them. We called the store and asked if they could be fixed. We got there and they had already found the frames and it took mike literally 3 seconds to replace. Free of charge cause they were under warranty. The professionalism of the team from the lady on the phone to the greetings of mike was excellent. Thank you for making things just a little bit easier during this hard time.

I wanted to visit there today ..so I called them I was just down the street and the girl on the phone said yes they're accepting walkins and I could come now, I arrived five minutes later and the door was locked I knocked and had to wait, someone finally came to the door and said they're at capacity, and I said well I just talked to your staff they told me to come now??!! so I just shook my head and went to Hakim Optical down the street n got in right away..

Customer service was on point; friendly and helpful. The price of glasses is the best you will get anywhere, and they carry a fantastic selection. I was having trouble with my insurance, and was treated with patience and respect. I would recommend 3for1 Glasses to anyone looking for great quality, and great priced glasses.

My sister refered me to 3 For 1, and I can honestly say I had a very good experience and would highly recommend this place! Dr Harris gave a very thorough eye examination; asking and answering several questions ensuring I received the best treatment and updated prescription, which I so desperately needed! He even went so far as to ask how my experience was, which was a nice touch!. I found him very respectful, knowledgeable and up to date on best practices; a gentleman, and class act!!! The staff were very kind, helpful, and professional. Pam, Marissa, Dennis, and Taylor spent time with me, answered questions, helped me pick out glasses suitable to my face shape, and made the experience very pleasant and personable. I had lost one temple tip of a pair of glasses purchased here. My warranty was unfortunately expired - the rest of the pair of glasses were good. The only solution proposed was to buy a new frame starting from over 80$. Forced to find a solution at my old store for free and I didn’t even buy the glasses there.. Original purchase was over 550$ You seem to not want return customers.

Worst ever...bad service no respect their customers. First they lost my order, then they forgot to order my glasses It took them 6 weeks to get my glasses, next they broke my glasses and When I try leave n go somewhere else for my contacts... They get mad! The wife is worse with customer service, and the fat man is rude lol or is that me.. Lol Oh yeah.. They Dont like first nations & dealing with the federal payments from Indian Affairs. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! My dad showed up half an hour before closing on a Sat afternoon with a broken pair of glasses.He had never shopped in their store before , but that didn't matter , they we're able to repair them in a matter of minutes and when he asked how much he owes them , they said nothing , No charge today, even sent him home with a complimentary glasses cleaning kit. I have never had a problem over many years of being a customer. When the contacts didn't work out for me, they had no problem switching to giving me another pair of glasses. They (the employees) have all been professional, courteous and helpful to me at every visit. I always recommend 3 For 1 Glasses to anyone asking!!!! Update: I have now used 3 For 1 for two of my children also. Excellent customer service. They really made my kids feel good about getting their glasses. Thank you 3 For 1!

Great experience here! Chose to check this place out as my aunt's glasses needed an emergency quick fix while in town for the weekend. We initially came in because of the good Google reviews and I'm glad we did because Taylor was a HUGE help! Not only did they go above and beyond for us but it was also extremely affordable, we will be back for sure!

I had a wonderful experience with this store. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that I left the store happy and with glasses that I love. I had such a difficult time choosing glasses because there are so many different frames to choose from. Luckily the lovely ladies that were working helped me choose frames that suited me best and made me feel confident. Once I was finished the optician even made time to cut my lenses on the spot so that I could leave with them. I was super happy. Now I have 2 pairs of glasses and 1 pair of sunglasses that I absolutely love to wear and show off! Thank you 3 for 1 glasses!

Extremely discouraged with this business. Purchased 3 pairs of glasses from here a little over a year and a half ago,one frame (the arm portion) is totally broken and unfixable apparently and the 2nd pair has a warped frame. Went and rang the doorbell at their upper james location today..a young lady came out and without even a hello..asked to see the glasses ..looked at them for 2 seconds and said they r unfixable. I explained perhaps that is why their glasses are 3 for 1 because they are made so cheaply. Without even options as to what I may be able to do with them..the young lady literally closed the door in my face. My business will be definitely taken elsewhere. I understand times ard difficult right now with covid..I as well work in the health field but I am also aware that perhaps a little kindness during this time goes a long way. Options would have been a nice touch! Dont waste your money on these glasses invest in one good pair...they are 3 for 1 for a reason! Lesson learned and to the young lady that greeted me this morning ..perhaps a career change would improve your customer service skills! UPDATE: Pam from this location contacted me after reading my original post. Just feel it is only fair to advise anyone reading this that Pam went above and beyond to rectify everything. I was provided a brand new pair of glasses..my choice.. at no charge and treated with total appreciation for my business. Thank you so much Pam and you certainly restored my faith in 3for1 glasses!

So, my mother in law went to get her eyes tested here yesterday. Previously, she had been in to find a pair of glasses. She found them and made the appointment to come back. They sold the last pair of glasses she had told them she wanted. And they are now discontinued. The staff were not dressed in appropriate work attire. Jeans and tee shirts. Looking like a mess. During the test, when the optician asked her which was better, 1 or 2, she asked to see the options again and the "doctor" told her its not a test shes supposed to answer right away. While my husband and I were waiting for her, they received a call from a customer whose lens had popped out. The 3 who were out where every one can hear, were extremely rude to the man. One said " tell him to google it. What does he want us to do?" When the customer asked to speak to the man, who I'm guessing manages the place, since he made it clear his uncle owns the place and hes the optician, this man got nasty with the customer on the phone. I was getting mad, and he wasnt even talking to me. When the call was ended all 3 laughed. This optician who was on the phone said " he felt like a complete idiot" talking about the customer. This place is a joke. We walked out without buying glasses. And regret even paying for the exam. Do not go to this place. They're a complete joke.

I’ve been going there for over 5 years now. My sunglasses that are over 5 years old were replaced a year ago with new frames no questions asked. I broke the replacement pair(my fault) and they told me to pick out a new pair of sunglasses and within a week I received a new pair of glasses with new lenses and frames for free again no questions asked. I couldn’t be happier with this place.

I have never been there before today and their customer service is amazing and how they explained things .. the cut my glasses in 10 minutes and give you a year to upgrade to their 3 for 1 Jenny was amazing and extreamly nice I went from paying 700 for 2 pairs to next to nothing for good quality glasses . I agree with the review about having customers lined up waiting in the cold for some reason. You have to ring the door bell and then they still won't let you inside to browse. Find the people working here rude and unprofessional. I also agree that there are many other eye glass places in Hamilton that are far better than this one. Don't waste your time waiting outside in the cold because it's definitely not worth it!

We purchased our glasses a couple of months ago. Great selection, pricing and staff. Pricing was very affordable. Had an issue with the prescription sunglasses that I bought, but they worked with me to fix it as best they could. When it was discovered that the lens were too thick for the frames (they kept popping out), they worked with me to find a comparable pair that suited my preferences. They rushed to get the replacements glasses done, and I love them more than my first choice. We will definitely use 3-For-1 Glasses for our future purchases and recommend them highly to all!

I would recommend 3 for 1 glasses on Upper James St. in Hamilton for a few reasons. Not only do they have a wide variety of glasses to choose from,but I found the staff, especially Michael, to be very helpful and knowledgeable. After ordering my glasses, there was a mix up with my prescription, which made the length of time on my order a little longer. For this reason I was compensated very well by this store. When my glasses did arrive, I noticed that they seemed a little blurry and it was taking my eyes time to adjust. Michael was able to rectify this problem noticing that the prescription I was given had changed and he was able to correct this for me. In conclusion, my glasses were adjusted for me and I walked away a very satisfied customer. I would gladly direct people to this store and location.

Service not convenient. I understand can’t pick up “New Glasses” on a Sunday. But only wanted to pick up glasses fixed under warranty. When I dropped off they were busy so I left them, had back up set, I work out of town. Now I have to wait another week cause I’m away again. Lesson learned. Next time I’ll wait for repairs. No matter how busy.

I definitely do not recommend 3 for 1 Glasses in Hamilton. The owner and staff are extremely rude. My husband and I went in to get his glasses repaired and they tried telling us that we didn’t purchase the glasses there, when they had on their system that we bought 4 pairs last year but are now saying that those were not from their store. We bought 3 pairs and And 1 pair of sunglasses last year spending over $1300 for them. Then the owner proceeded to walk up to my husband and told him to leave or he would punch him in the face. Their system also got hacked 6 years ago and they never once called us to let us know that my husbands information was compromised! Not a very professional environment at all. If you need glasses, do not go to them. Not worth the aggravation!! I give them a -0 star

Very good customer service - friendly, helpful and quick to attend despite the store being jam-packed. This was my first visit here for an eye exam as I don't currently have a prescription but know I need one. The attending Dr. Jon Harris provided an exceptional exam experience - very clear and concise direction with thorough explanations every step of the way, emanating a mastery of his profession. I was actually recommended to him, and am glad I was. I would recommend 3-for-1 Glasses and Dr. Jon Harris to anyone in need of their services.

During these hard times with covid and shopping by yourself for glasses I appreciated an honest 2nd opinion. I was greeted by Brenda who immediately made me feel welcomed. She let me browse until I was ready. Deborah listened to what I was looking for and brought some suggestions (that I actually purchased).She was very honest and fun to shop with. There are MUCH better eye clinics out there, don't bother visiting this one. My first visit here was useless. I told the doctor that I had trouble seeing things far away and that I needed to be signed off to do my G1 test because I failed the vision test. He checked my eyes very quickly and said that I don't need glasses and that I was fine. When I showed the doctor the papers from MTO, he took a picture of it and was surprised that the rules changed, he wasn't even aware of the new changes. He said that in the papers from MTO, I needed to be signed off by a doctor that had a special device that he didn't have, so he referred me to another guy and sent me home. The doctor at this place didn't even give me a prescription! They checked my health card, used up my one free eye checkup a year, and that was all. The doctor made me read the letters off the board in each eye, but didn't do anything further than that, he did not use any of the other larger eye devices to help determine the condition of my eyes. Reading letters off a board one time for each eye, and just covering my eye with my hand is simply not enough. Two months later, and I go to Spectrum Family Eye Care in Limeridge Mall and the doctor there was fantastic. My new doctor told me that it was weird the guy at 3 For 1 Glasses didn't give me a prescription since I definitely needed glasses. The doctor at my new clinic was very thorough with his checkup and made me read letters off the board multiple times using his fancy eye devices and even checked the health of my eyes. Needless to say, I will NEVER visit this place again.

They are the best I know every time we come we get great customer service and help so friendly and nice ;) We all got glasses from there and if they don't have something we like they order it for us. Amazing customer service! The selection of frames is excellent, but the people who work here are what separates this place from any other - they are all very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. You are greeted as soon as you walk in and they take the time to ensure that you are getting not only the frames you want, but the quality of lens that makes such a difference. You can book your eye exam here as well with a doctor - and I could not be happier with my vision since getting my new glasses. Thanks to all the staff for the five star service and friendly atmosphere. It's so nice to encounter a business where the people actually care. Exceptional Service at 3-for-1 Upper James Jenn and the team at 3 for 1 were a great help with our prescription glasses purchase. The customer service is genuine and outstanding. The number of frames, and nice styles, to chose from in their smaller store surpasses bigger chains. My wife's prescription requires thicker lenses combined with a bit special fit. The help needed is not available with purchasing on-line. It took a qualified, experienced person. The follow-up service to the get the glasses just right was exceptional. Thank you so much. I purchased glasses, I am returning the 3rd time, due to the glasses either lose a nose guard or the arm can't stay attached. I will be demanding a replacement free of charge. First and last time I ever purchase frames and lens from them. Anyone thinking about doing business. Go to Hakim, Walmart or Fortinos. This place even thou they offer great dealers. BUYERS BEWARE, IF IT SOUNDS TO BE GOOD TO TRUE, PROBABLY IS. Iwill not be fooled. A couple warned me they weren't good.

Please answer the door and don't keep the customers waiting for someone to answer the door. Not sure why I was left standing at the door after the door was unlocked and answered. All I wanted my glasses adjusted (which I bought there). I had a mask on and used the hand sanitizer. Maybe it would be OK to allow people to see your product also.
