I wish I could do less than one star. Zero ownership for mistakes made. Even when speaking with customer service they very rudely inform you the customer that you are wrong and they are in fact perfect. If you want to wait an extremely long time for glasses only to find out they cannot even handle writing down a prescription right, then this is the place for you. If you actually want to receive what you ordered, I would stay as far away as possible. I would also stay away if for someone reason you expect to be treated like a human being. Apparently that doesn't factor into their "customer service" if you can even call it that. Stay far away.

I was on my way to an important baseball game when the screw came out of my sunglasses. I stopped in here to see if I could get some assistance, assuming they would have the necessary tools on hand to fix such an issue. I was met with a smile and prompt service. Bravo kind stranger.

I wanted to write a review on my experience with Perba Vision that is located on Gordon Street in Guelph. Three pairs of glasses for myself and three pairs for my wife and a pair for my son have all been purchased at Purba since they have opened. The service from Moe and his group has been exceptional. Any issue has been resolved professionally and with courtesy. Selection of frames and display boards has made it easy to find a product to our liking. I would recommend this store to my friends.

I was looking for a glasses store to replace my broken lens. I checked every store I knew for the best price. This store was the only store in which they informed me I need a special curved lens that fits my frame properly. Also the price was very fair, even cheaper than I got from glasses store in U of G. I was totally happy with them.

I've had an excellent experience with all of my visits to Purba Vision Guelph on Gordon St. I've now purchased new eyeglasses a couple of times, and Mo has always been very helpful in getting me what I need. Glasses that fit me properly are difficult to find, and Mo went above and beyond to find me the perfect fit both times I've purchased glasses from him. Mo is very knowledgeable and efficient, and ensures that you're looked after properly. Highly recommended.

I don't know how anyone could ever say that Mo and his staff are anything less than friendly, down-to-earth folks offering the very best glasses, and the very best service - Mo does it all for you, takes care of all the insurance paperwork, warranty service, everything! He's been serving our family now for at least the past half dozen years, and he beats any other store we've ever dealt with. If you sometimes have to wait 5 minutes to be taken care of, it's worth it, knowing that Mo gives full attention to service and detail, and that every customer enjoys all the time and dedication they need to come away completely satisfied.

Less than 1 star would even be given, after awaiting 2 weeks for an appt as the eye doctor is only there on fridays, and upon booking my appt I had given my insurance information to ensure it could be directly billed as I am in an industry that works with insurance also, the gentleman said yes, the appt was booked, walked in for my appt, and then was told sorry no we do not bill this insurance company (even though i specifically asked prior to booking) so now I have wasted 2 weeks for this appointmentand the next office that DOES bill and understands questions correctly isn't for another 3 weeks. I do not recommend, horrible communication skills when I knew the exact questions to ask. So haven't even had my appt yet, god knows from the other reviews it probably would've been poor after that also. STAY AWAY!!!

I injured my eye and needed it evaluated for damage. I was seen right away. The optometrist was nice, thorough and informative with his diagnosis. He was able to explain everything in a way I could understand.

Great customer care! My son had a difficult time picking between 2 glasses Partap gave us some tips to see which one to pick. My husband and I received eyeglasses here and we both had and amazing experience. Partap was very patient and listened to our concerns. In the end, i was very pleased and would highly recommend them! This place is the only place I go for ultimate optical care. They are willing to go the extra mile...Give them a try.

It is really unfortunate that I have to rate this location and business as poorly as I did. This is our first time doing business here, and I have to say we were not impressed in the least. Mo took a long time to approach us even though there was no one in the store. We then had to go over to him at the desk to ask for help - very poor first impression. I should have known right then that things would only get worse from here. We received no valuable advice or opinions from Mo at all. My wife was not impressed with his demeanour or service either. We went there only because they were open on Sundays and we were desperate for my wife to get a pair of anti-fatigue lenses and frames. We went to Costco and they apparently don’t do anti-fatigue transitional lenses and the new Hakim Optical and Canvision were closed - we have never had any issues with these places, nor even with LensCrafters. Mo couldn’t bill our insurance benefits directly for some reason although he advertises that they do. He also knew how desperate we were to get the glasses. It has been two weeks now and still no glasses. We have to follow up ourselves to check in to see when we will get them. Maybe they are just too busy, or have too many more important customers but we are still waiting. It would have been nice to be kept in the loop about what was happening and when we could expect them. No offer to resolve the issue or delay has even been communicated to us. The lenses came in last week apparently and Mo cut them wrong so they don’t fit in the new frames. Now we have to wait for new lenses to come in and will likely be delayed until after Christmas even though Mo said he would try to rush them. This will sadly be the first and last time we will get glasses here. I am surprised that they are still in business. I predict that the new Hakim Optical at Clair and Gordon near Longo’s will likely put them out of business in no time soon enough. Sorry Mo, you have had a number of opportunities to make this right with effective follow up or even an apology, but instead we wait for an empty promise of next week for these glasses to come in which will likely be broken and we will have to follow up ourselves again on our own to find this out. Poor experience overall so far.

We have been going to the Guelph location for more than 2 years. They are very helpful, they have a great designer selection or other at reasonable price. They follow the Covid -19 protocol very well. I would recommend there store.

An ultimate place to shop for your eye wear . Great staff, great service. Huge line of high end brands. Every time I go to Purba Vision at Gordon St. I receive the best service. Even after I moved from Ontario I still get my contact lenses shipped to me. Don't wanna go anywhere else. Great work guys!! Keep it up????

Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. A month of time wasted and never ended up getting my glasses from them. They will blame the customer instead of taking responsibility. Don’t waste your time, just go to LensCrafters! Edit: in response to Purba Visions’s reply below—I will explain the entire situation. I ordered frames, which they told me would take a specific amount of business days. I sent an email to customer service and got the below email back, that they would give me a pair of glasses in the meantime, as they did not arrive in a timely manner. The receptionist told me she ordered my frames the day I went to Purba Vision, but they were actually ordered a week later, which is why the manager said there were inconsistencies in my story as he had a record of when my frames were actually ordered. I felt as though they were blaming the customer, nevertheless I was happy with them offering a free pair of glasses. I had to call them myself for an update, they said the glasses were ready for pickup. When I arrived, they told me that they hadn’t installed my lenses yet and that I would have to come back in 15 mins. (This should have been done before as I confirmed I would come pick them up at the end of the day). A few minutes later, the staff member came back out and told me that my frames were cracked and that they arrived defective. (Again, they should have been inspected before the client reaches the office) He told me that he just ordered another pair and would put it on rush. After this, I am informed by Purba Vision that my frames have been discontinued so they could not order them. This is after I was told they were already ordered on rush!! I ended up asking for a complete refund as I was so frustrated with their lack of customer service and lies. What a nightmare. One month of my time wasted and I never got the free pair or the pair I ordered. I ended up going to LensCrafters the same day and buying the discontinued frames as they had them in stock. My frames and lenses were installed by the next day. Don’t waste your time with this company who does not care about their customers or their integrity.

Lenses are heavy. No anti glare on all of them. Price is not compatable at all when compares with similar products around town. Two for one deal is a rip off. Make sure all prices are finalised before any deal.

Great selection of high end frames and reasonable prices. Many grades of lenses to choose from..NIKON lenses are my favorite as they are super tough and scratch resistant. Never had an issue with a pair of glasses purchased here. Highly recommend visiting Purba if you need a very nice pair of glasses.
