This is such a professional and friendly business. They go out of their way to help you to find the right pair of glasses for me, even if I am taking forever to make up my mind. The also have helped me very often to fix a pair of glasses. I recommend them highly!

The store manager/optician, Ellie, was incredibly helpful. I had initially contacted the store to order new lenses for my frames then, as luck would have it, my old frames broke a few weeks later. Ellie and her team were super responsive. Great service!

I was pleasantly surprised when I found what I was looking for in the first store. I was expecting to visit store after store but this was not the case. I hadn't purchased glasses in some time. Great variety including good pricing. Was able to get two pair for the price of one. Friendly staff, location in my neighbourhood. Great deal!

I recently bought my very first two pairs of eye glasses at this Hakim location after having a vision assessment with the optometrist next door. I am EXTREMELY pleased with the attentive and caring staff (who helped me pick out frames for quite a while!), and the stylish yet affordable frames/lenses. I am super happy and would highly recommend this Hakim optical to anyone!

Update (18th Nov'21): reducing their rating to only 1 star as the lenses are showing 3 cracks. It's not even 1 year and their products are failing. ................... Ordered 1 pair of frame and lenses, another pair of lenses for my old frame and one pair of sunglasses for my wife before 4 weeks. They took 4 weeks to prepare the order. When I and my wife went to pick-up the order, we noticed that lenses my old frame were not fitting properly. They said they can't do anything since they don't accept customer's own frame and they helped us by taking order of lenses for frame not bought at their store. While accepting the order, they never mentioned that their lenses may not fit properly on other brand's lenses. In fact I am wondering how come lenses may not fit a frame when they prepare custom sized lenses in their own lab. So it was a shoddy job. My wife's sunglasses were having stains on arms. In fact they informed us in advance that sunglasses are having stains and they want to return those glasses to their lab and have a new pair shipped for us. But we still wanted to check if those stains were not noticeable and if my wife could still use them since we had already waited for 4 weeks. We found those sunglasses' arms were having too many stains. Now we will again have to wait for another few weeks. But store manager was eager to put onus of all these issues on pandemic (including shoddy job on lenses for my old frame). She said their lab was forced to shut for 2 weeks due to pandemic. I am still wondering what excuse they will come up with for another few weeks until these sunglasses aren't delivered. Giving them 2 stars for them working extra time on the day when we placed our order.

My daughter’s glasses broke the morning of Good Friday when everything was closed. I was worried that she’d have to do without until after the long weekend, but we were able to get into Hakim on Saturday morning and the optician had them fixed for her in a ten minutes or so. Great service!

I have been getting my glasses at this location for many years now. Staff are attentive, knowledgable and super helpful, and Kelly always makes my visit a fun adventure! She is honest about what looks good based on her professional experience, not just what I think looks good. The quality is excellent with a wide variety from which to choose. They have served my needs well, making it definitely the best place to go in Guelph for eyewear and a good look!

I'm sure the staff are helpful but the layout of the store is terrible. The mirrors behind the rows of glasses made it extremely difficult to find the style of frames I wanted to try on. The lights shining off the mirrors and the glasses made it difficult to keep looking. I'd love to come back but not until the decor is updated!

I had a great first experience at this location. The staff were friendly, helpful (and patient). I live far out of town so my glasses had to be relayed to my hometown 5 hours away, but I still got them on time. Very happy with both my time in the store and everything afterwards.

She was so welcoming and understanding, it really made my day and made the experience great. The store was also very clean, with everyone wearing masks and hand sanitizer available at the door. It happened a few weeks ago, I'm in the market for a new set of frames and I'm terribly indecisive i think i've been into every optical store 3 times but this hakim really stood out! a lovely staff member, Kalina spent quite a while picking out frames with me and letting me know which ones suited my face shape and wich one complimented my hair colour, it was really the most attentive service I've ever gotten. She was also really knowlegable about the location and let me know which days the doctor was in that week and when to roughly expect my frames, very honest. Unfortunatley I couldn't commit to buying anything that day but I couldnt say thank you enough, so if she sees this: THANK YOU!! you were absolutely incredible and brightened my whole day!

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. I ordered 2 pairs of glasses from them in the middle of August and didn't receive them until October, almost 2 months after ordering them. 3 days after getting the glasses, I noticed the rubber pieces on the arms were peeling off. When i went in to get them repaired/replaced the manager tried blame me by saying i must have used a hair product that reacted badly with my frame (I only use shampoo and conditioner) and tried to replace them with a display frame. After replacing the frame, they said I no longer have a warranty on my glasses which I just got 1 week ago. Don't give these scammers your hard earned money.

Kelly and staff are very helpful and attentive. I was looking for replacement arms for my glasses as they were well worn and I was waiting for cataract surgery before changing glasses. Kelly took immediate care of me, recommended a practical short term fix, replaced the nose pieces and my glasses will look like new for Manu months! When I offered to pay she dismissed me with a waive and said see you after your cataract surgery! This is what I call SERVICE all with a smile! Definitely recommend for great choice, price and service.

Optician, Jossy Jose helped today. He was very nice, efficient and did a great job repairing my eyewear. The store is set up for covid precautions and only allow one person in at a time by appointment. As soon as I went in, hand sanitizer was provided and I was taken to my seat through a path. Even though I was new and not a usual client for Jossy, he treated me as such and gave me great service. I highly recommend!!!

Kelly is extremely knowledgeable on the products Hakim offers, and the turn-around is always quick. Another plus is the fantastic service once the glasses are yours... from time to time repairs are necessary and the staff at Hakim is always more than happy to help - quick fixes are generally complimentary, and more challenging repairs always reasonable.
