They dont have prices on the glasses in store, because they wait for you to come up to the counter with a pair to ask the price, and they eye you up & give you a price based on they're preception of your financial standing. Dont support garbage like that.

Pathetic customer service. Asked to have my eye exam redone but was told I'd have to pay so I refused, 2 years later and my prescription is much worse due to wearing the wrong lenses. I went in to ask for at least a partial refund to make up for the bad prescription and refusing to retest me but the lady denied ever refusing a retest and claims it's now their policy to retest for free. I wonder why that is.. perhaps more people like me were wrongly prescribed. I'll now only recommend an actual optician over some cheap glasses store hack.

I am a loyal customer. When you have two kids, both needing but hard on glasses, you really get to test a place's customer service. I've got to know and like the people here. Other Hakim Optical stores I've been to also have great service.

I took in a pair of glasses that were not originally purchased from Hakim. I needed replacement nose pads. The staff very quickly found and installed a suitable set. Then they would not allow me to pay for the pads or the time spent installing them. All they said was "Merry Christmas!". Fabulous customer service!

2nd Update - 3rd pair of frames broke in the exact same spot as the last 2 in less than 3 months this time. Done with this place. Update - Was contacted directly after posting my review and I will be given another pair of frames ready in a couple of days. Appreciate the customer service I received from head office! Great place if you want to buy glasses that don't even make it through a year and fall to pieces right on your face. Happened twice with the same frames no irregular wear and tear. First set was covered under warranty and the 2nd pair that didn't even make it 10 months are not covered. Will not be shopping here again.

I have been to two different Hakims in Kitchener and when I moved to Guelph I stuck with Hakims. I found this preticular store to be the BEST one in my opinion that I have ever been to. My eye exam was super professionally done and efficient. Done by a female optician, which I really loved! The selection of frames has surpassed all of my expectations. The store owner or manager was amazing aswell! Even fixed up my old glasses with a couple screws when he gave me my brand new pair of beautiful glasses. I’m super happy with the service and the product! Thanks so much, HAKIM OPTICAL!!

Great people, they let you know that they can help when you enter the store and then let you look at the glasses, this laid back approach helps me feel comfortable as a customer. And the eye exam was really great too, I find most eye exams are really rushed but this one wasn’t. She took her time with the different lenses and my result was really accurate based off that extra time spent doing it right. If you want exact results and great service, I’d recommend this place.

I had purchase 2 pairs of glasses from here awhile ago and had to get one repaired, they had it fixed extremely fast. Also the two Ladies were very helpful, only place I will go for glasses and recommend everyone else to go there as well.

1st pair broke because the seller did not measure the nose bridge proper, harassment when replace the new pair, 2nd pair broke the same place. Never go back again!!!!!!!!

Not a happy customer. My glasses are extremely cheap, and they come loose everyday. I had to go on Amazon and purchase a glasses repair kit 2 weeks after buying my them so i can keep up on the tightening of screws daily. I took my glasses in the day after I got them to show them that the lens was loose and rotating inside of the frame, and that the one arm was loose as well. She quickly tightened the arm up but couldn't fix the lens. I feel it could fall out at any moment, especially during cleaning. I figured I'd give Hakim a try, but I wont be returning. Poor quality....very very poor quality.

I recently was at hakim optical where I found such great services from Neary the manager!! Very knowledgable and what she does walk me through the process of picking out the best pair of glasses for me then went in to see Dr. Singh he also was very knowledgable took his time walk me through every step he did was it absolutely fantastic experience from the minute I walked threw the door!! 5Star rating and don’t be shy to head on in and see for your self I’m sure you won’t be disappointed thanks Neary and Dr Singh

Called to get all the details of my prescription such as my pupil to pupil distance and they refused to give it to me claiming it was their policy. What a cash grab! I will never come here for eye exams or glasses again and will never recommend them to anyone!!

I had difficulty getting my computer glasses right due to my prescription and astigmatism in one eye. Neary was so patient and offered different troubleshooting options until we got it right even recutting the glass twice. I would highly recommend going to this store if you have visual issues other than far/near sightedness.

Very friendly staff. However, my wife was told her glasses which were paid upfront would be ready on the following Thursday or Friday. They were not! We called many times to find they had not arrived. Finally they contacted the lab which had messed up. This should not have been the case. Poor service! They have lost our business of getting new glasses every two years.

I had to be on the other side of town so I dropped into this location to have a pair of Hakim glasses adjusted. A lady took them, went to the back and came back out immediately, handed them to me and said they are fixed. She didn’t even clean the lenses. When I got home I noticed she had bent the arm, she didn’t adjust the hinge. I’ve had nothing but problems with that pair since and going back to the Woolwich St. location today for a second time to have them adjusted properly. I will never go to the Silvercreek location again. Update: When I went to the Woolwich St. Location today to have the glasses adjusted, the staff noticed the arm was broken. These wonderful folks at Woolwich replaced the arm that was broken by the Silvercreek location for free.

They don't have a stander on the thickness of lenses! They just tell you " oh, that lenses are very thin but we can't tell you how thin." Funny hahahah

My one lens popped out and I was in the plaza so I went in to Hakim to see if the young lady would fix it ( I did not buy them there). The little screw was also missing. Not only did she fix them she did not charge me. She was incredible and beautiful as well. I would give this a ten star review if I could. Would recommend this store to everyone.

I visited the Silver Creek location and had a wonderful experience with Valerie and Catherine!! I was looking for a new look for my frames and both were extremely helpful and more importantly HONEST...I truly appreciated this!! They helped me picked out some really nice frames for glasses and fun frames for my sunglasses. They also worked it out so that I would benefit the most with the current promotion! I never felt rushed and I appreciated their focus on providing me with a great customer experience. I cannot wait to get my new glasses, sunglasses and contact lenses!
