My review is based on the online ordering and curbside pick up process for this location. I made my order through the Home Depot App on my Android phone. The process on the phone was simple and easy to use. It took me two days until my order was filled and I received an email stating that it was ready for pickup. I arrived around 10:30 am and called the number stated and got a general person answering the phone. They were extremely pleasant and advised me that it might take a little while for them to get my order. I waited for 15 mins and saw what looked like 6 people ahead of me. I gentleman came up with a cart and adhered to COVID protocols and did not approached my vehicle until I had my mask on. He confirmed my order and it was that easy. The wait was not that bad. I found that this location was a bit quicker than their neighbouring Home Depot in St. Catharines. I would definitely use their curbside pickup again.

Just a shout out to the assistant manager of this location, Roger! After 3 different associates couldn't help us with the cutting of some chain ( 2 didn't know how and 1 said the cutter was broken), Roger stepped up, found a chain cutter and cut what we needed! Great service Roger!

I had just moved to Montreal the day before Labor Day and would the start class the day after. Labor Day was the only day I had to do some shopping for the apartment! Of course, everything was understandably closed, except for some stores in granby. I drove an hour there in the pouring rain, feeling very nervous that my French was not good and hoping I’d be able to get everything done. Home Depot staff were so helpful. Gilles and Jacques (Jacques-Guy? I’m so sorry, I even wrote down his name and can’t find it!) were super kind and gave me a lot of advice when I was feeling lost about finding everything or deciding on things like how to install a shelf! I was very touched by how helpful and nice they were. Made a big difference in my week, since I was very stressed out and exhausted from my move. Thank you very much for helping this poor little anglophone student. :)

I was at Home Depot twice today. First thing in the morning to get some clear deck / wood waterproofer / sealer. I was surprised they did not have the brand I was looking for. I also needed a solid deck stain factory mixed. Was very surprised that they did not have any of that either. (It is white and then you custom colour it) So I left empty-handed this morning. However in the evening my chest freezerstopped working and I was very relieved to be able to obtain the last chest freezer available (I've been told by five different appliance stores this afternoon that because of covid-19 people are hoarding freezers so they can buy more food...most stores are back ordered for the next 8 to 12 weeks). I was very happy to get what I wanted and get in and out quickly.

Such a disappointment with trying to receive new flooring. Ordered and paid for carpets for my stairs in Sept. Installer arrived mid Nov and tore up my carpets but could not replace b/c the carpet was the wrong size. It is now Jan. 2020 and still no communication about when I will get my carpet. Stairs have nails sticking out and pieces of underlay that have tripped me and my family on the way up and down the stairs. It is a safety hazard and looks terrible. Had to cancel xmas gathering at my house due to this fiasco. Luxury vinyl was ordered and paid for the same day in Sept. No communication about when this will be installed. Dreadful service. I have been into the Home Depot 3 times in the last week and a half with my parents and by myself and have had great service by Marilyn and Karen who assisted us with blinds. Both are very knowledgeable in their Department. Maryland took extra time on the first visit to show us many samples in many different books. Their installer Christine promptly went to my parents future condo to take measurements within 48 hours. Looking forward to seeing the final product on my parents windows. Thanks for the great service!

This is a dangerous place for me: it's like a toy store, and I can't walk in without buying something! This is where I bought most of the materials I've needed for various renos and projects around the house. I appreciate being able to pick out my own wood in the clearly-lit, well organized aisles. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE! I purchased an outdoor dining table at the Niagara Falls location a week before Canada Day. The day before the holiday (and the day I was having a Canada Day BBQ), I noticed the base of the table had a defect which prevented the umbrella from being used with the table...I contacted the store which was insanely busy before the holiday, spoke with the opening manager, Chris, he said "let me see what I can sort out for you". Within the hour, he called me back, took my address, and not only located a new table from another store, but had it assembled and delivered to my home. All I can say is "WOW". I moved to Niagara just over 2 years ago from Oakville where I have never experienced this calibre of service...ever! I told everyone about my experience and they were all blown away. Going to share this experience on FB and Twitter. Thanks to all at Home Depot, Niagara Falls! You saved my Canada Day BBQ! Ann C.

This is the easiest place to get home improvement supplies. I use the app and all you do is pick the location you prefer and it tells you exactly where the item you are looking for is located in store. I go there alot and have never had to wait in a lineup to check out, they are very efficient and all staff are friendly!

Very slow for online or curbside pickup, I ordered 8:00 AM morning,I don't get pickup confirmation until 6:00pm, when I called in store they said thay have 1000's of order, wait for your email, Very ridiculous and unprofessional answer, I ordered same time from canadian tire and Lowe's I already got pickup email confirmation in 3 hours. It was hard enough to work with Home Depot before, but given the circumstances you'd think they'd devote more efforts to customer service and answering phones to prevent customers from having to physically take themselves to this location despite safety warnings for the public. I wasn't sure how to use the home depot card and instead of helping I was made to feel dumb. In the end I just left with 1 purchase as I was in a hurry. Got the Philips Hue 4 bulb starter pack. Grab the empty box and bring it to the cash. They scan it, go to grab the actual package and tell me they dont have any left. Check online from smart phone and dayd they have six left. Employee looks up on computer and says they have eight in store. Wait while employees check mysterious locations for 25minutes. During time employee came with incorrect items. Got the item I wanted in the end but it was touch and go for awhile and it took much longer than I wanted.

I had an appliance delivered, which includes removing the old appliance. Not only did they not take the old appliance, the staff at the store was ride, unhelpful and unprofessional when I asked for assistance. I had to call the 1800 number to get service. Combine this with the generally poor service I've received at this location in the past while shipping the garden centre and power tools, and this location deserves less than the minimum one star rating.

Well into retirement, I have dealt with lot of stores ~ all over. I feel well qualified to know something about CUSTOMER SERVICE. I must say, I have NEVER experienced such exceptional Customer Service as I have in THIS STORE. I bought some flooring some time ago and 'finally-got-around-to-it' to actually lay it down. 3/4-done and I discover I am going to be short just a dew items so, off I go to get another box; only to discover ~ That item is sold out, discontinued and no longer available. The person in the flooring business gave me the cold-shoulder and told me: "It is what it is, sorry !" Not satisfied, I went to Customer Service where my story got th entire crew into full-swing. They called EVERY store in Nova Scotia, Atlantic Canada and persuaded each store to not just go by their computer records but to actually go on the floor and physically check. All called back negatively ~ EXCEPT for Moncton, NB Needless to say, early this morning I drove to Moncton-and-back ans have my extra. Not only did the customer service crew in Halifax go -way-way-way beyond what could be reasonably be expected but, even the manager got involved and even offered me an incentive to ease the pain of a six-hour round-trip, just to finish my floor. Halifax - Home Depot - Thank You ~ Thank YOU ~ THANK YOU ! !

This place is amazing. Everything you need under one roof. Every item is in specific location and cubbies. If you want pluming it's 30 and cubbies 001-008 and so on. Website tells you where it is located for whatever item you are looking for. Self check out is so fast and help is always there to assist you to find anything they carry. My overall experience was amazing, and I am certain that others might not have great one but don't let that stop you. I shop here more often than Canadian Tire stores. It's easier to find things and help does not approach you unless you find them and ask for help which is the best part. I have been to Canadian Tire and this employee was standing by me even when I wasn't need of assistance. I don't like that, it feels pressured for you to buy something just to leave the store. However when you really need help no one is around. I do have one caveat, and it's their website. It has so many moving components to it takes forever to load a page. I own state of the art 2020 PC and website would take so long to respond. It should be fast and easy but it's just clunky and slow but in hindsight it works and you don't have to go to the store and you can buy direct and pick up in store, but slow people, very slow website. I hope this review helped. I don't get too technical, because I am simple reviewer, I don't shop much, unless it becomes necessary, so if you like this hit that button like you hit SENT every second, if you don't, I am sure others have much better review than myself. Delivery was unprofessional and incompetent, bringing knowingly damaged appliances (for which there were no replacements). Other items simply did not work. The phone and in person customer services reps were awesome for the most part and with what misinformation they had to work with, but continously messed up timing, information and refunds. Pretty sure I am still out a couple hundred dollars because of their mistakes. The worst shopping experience ever. KUDOS to Cindy at the store for sorting out things as much as she could. SHE was awesome. DARTMOUTH staff are spectacular by the way. Brian especially. Shop there instead.

I have been there any number of times. The staff have helped me with projects, credit, ordering and cutting in-store blinds, and most recently getting a quote for a set of kitchen cabinets. I have had great customer service in almost all departments--I must admit the 'almost' is because the paint department employees do seem more curt and harried, as there is usually a line of people vying for their attention, but when you get to the front of the line YOU are their focus just like the person ahead of you was a minute before.

He showed me the perks of buying a larger fridge, reliability rates for all brands and customer reviews. I told him I was on a budget and he didn't try to sell me anything more then the budget. There was one fridge I really wanted but was slightly out of my budget so he found the same one in the back on sale as an "open box". Home depot was a few hours away from home so they also helped me find a way to get it delivered at my place hassle free. Would recommend anytime for anybody looking for appliances. I would put any star if that could be possible. Writing this review, I am at my third week awaiting my appliances. Given the current pandemic situation, I thought I would buy them earlier, thus given some latitude for the delivery. Arriving to the first proposed date of the delivery, I receive a feedback from their website that it would be rescheduled. I call their customer support service, after 45 minutes, I finally talk to someone, which tells me that the appliances are back order! But it should arrive on next week. Sure thing, on the following week, I receive this pesky rescheduling message onto the website without any follow up call with me. Calling again the client support line...awaiting another hour before talking to a human, only to tell me they would be delivered on the following Monday! But not. We are Monday 6th of July, the appliances are still marked as rescheduling onto their website. I don't have the strength to call and await for the customer support line. I remotely hope that someone from homedepot will see this message; I just want to tell you that I have to wash my clothes by hand for the last month...and this is the last time I am every buying something from homedepot. Next time I'll go with Rona or some other competitors, even if they are priced higher. Have a good one homedepot, I am done.

I understand there is a pandemic and things will be slowed a little bit, but I have been waiting more than 4 hours now. I sat in the parking lot, and an employee came to tel me it would take 4-5 hours because they are getting 100's of 1000's of orders from all over Canada. All over Canada??? All ordering from Niagara Falls?? Out of the 14 employees that were standing in the parking lot, 3 were actually doing something, and the rest were standing around chatting. I expected a wait time, but not 4 hrs for 3 items. I eventually went home, after 4 hrs, I called and asked, and was told not today, maybe tomorrow or the day after. If you are that far behind, then it's time to make some changes!

I recently attempted to a rent a wood splitter from this location but it went poorly. I called ahead to confirm that a wood splitter and that it was registered and legal to tow on the road. I was assured over the phone that it was legal and towable but not able to be reserved. After driving over thirty minutes to the store, waiting in line to enter, and then waiting in line again to rent the wood splitter, I was told that it was not registered and not legal for the road. This was exceptionally disappointing. Either the staff member I spoke to over the phone didn't actually check to ensure that the wood splitter was registered to tow either as a result of their laziness, or a lack of respect for their customers. I will not be shopping at this location. Do better Home Depot.

Shocking, disgraceful behavior by the assistant manager towards my elderly father at this store has convinced me that they will never see a cent of my money again. After a clerical error and subsequent inability to correct it caused a nearly 45 minute delay in his purchase of a new barbecue, my father asked if there were any form of compensation the store would be able to provide - certainly not the route many would take but they do have a budget for it. The assistant manager's reaction was to verbally berate my father at a volume audible to all of the customers nearby, accusing him of asking for money without cause and with such hostility that I was afraid the exchange would lead to blows. Dad, in keeping his cool with this young man, only seemed to make things worse. The childish, high-school bully-like behavior exhibited was unlike anything I have ever seen before in a customer service setting. He was interrupting my father, attempting to embarrass and brow beat him, and at one point laughed about other customers coming in with issues as well. It was unprofessional, toxic behavior and something I wish to never witness again. A frightening, aggressive, and utterly shameful performance. 0/5 stars.

The worst customer service experience; I am a builder and work with most suppliers in the area (Kent, Payzant, Rona, etc..); People in these stores can get busy, but you always find people willing to help and show you around or track items for you. At Home Depot, people ignore you, talk to you while at the desk without eye contact "go to Aile 31!" Came back and said i can't find it; He repeats without eye contact "Go to Aile 31!" I have been waiting of two boxes of tile that are sitting in the truck in the back according to them for 5 days! They tell me, they are under staffed no matter i try to explain that i need those tiles to finish a house i need to deliver! Wasted hours in the store and on the phone trying to get help, no luck! I will do my best to never go back and shop from there for the houses i build.

I am someone who calls or emails when service is excellent. Today I called the Halifax store and received most unhelpful treatment. I asked for the paint department inquiring about the availability of Rustoleum Stone Accents Spray Paint at the Halifax location before I ventured out from home. I had previously bought this product while in Dartmouth but since I live in Halifax, and needed another can of paint, I called the Halifax store to see if it was in stock. The man who answered the phone did not seem prepared to check to see if the paint I needed was in stock. I told him I had purchased the paint in Dartmouth and he simply told me the Halifax store was much bigger than the Dartmouth store and so would have the paint in stock. I had to ask him if it was possible to check because I didn't want to drive out to Bayers Lake if I wasn't sure the paint was there. To which he replied "Skew number?" I proceeded to give him the skew number, pausing after every few numbers, thinking that he might be writing it down or checking it on a list. He said, before I had finished, "That's not enough numbers". I explained that, out of courtesy, I thought he might need more time so I was pausing to allow hi to take in all the skew numbers. He was most unfriendly and guess what ....? The Halifax store does not carry the paint I need! Dare I suggest a lot more personal relations and courtesy training for the individual who was working the shift in the paint department on the morning of Wednesday, August 19th. Great customer service is what prompts people to return to any store. This man needs a little work! He didn't even say goodbye, simply hung up!

Not happy with the service I received today. Was looking for a couple of interior doors and was told after two employees looked that there wasn't any. However, I did find a skid of the same doors not far away that had not been disassembled. When I went to get help to retrieve one of the doors both employees had gone to break and no one could help me until they returned, whenever that might be. Home Depot is my go to for home reno and project needs. I especially like that they keep all of their lumber inside in a climate controlled environment. They have a wide selection in most categories and generally are well stocked. Their website is great and convenient. When an item is out of stock or not available in their store you can order it and have it delivered to your preferred store to avoid shipping costs.

Shop here for many of my needs, often good sale prices and the store is kept nice and clean. The only downfall is the employees. For the majority, not all, the employees have no idea about anything. I think more training and giving them specific areas to work in might help them help the customer better. As well as putting more employees in busier areas of the store, for example, when needing wood cut in the back we have to walk around the whole store looking for a single employee who is allowed to use the machine. Some employees will call for someone's help through their Walkie talkies but rarely does anyone show up. However I would like to commend our local home Depot for how they are handling the lock downs, they are quick to deliver to your car when you use curbside pick up. The only negative to the curbside pick up is the website does not update when items are purchased so I have ordered items before, paid online with my credit card and had it declined hours later or the next day because the items aren't in stock even though they were according to the website. This is a little frustrating when you think you're waiting for an email for pick up only to get told it's canceled.
