I was a customer of theirs for many many years than I left a couple of years ago and I gave them a call a couple of weeks ago to inquire about lenses and I was advised they were taken over by luxottica , I couldn't be happier they happily ordered me the contact lenses with a free trial pair ,did not make me pay in advance and when I went to pick them up they refused to let me pay for them until I tried out a trial pair to make sure they were the right fit for my eyes. The service here can't be any better the whole team is amazing!! HANDS -ON! FRIENDLY, KNOWLEDGEABLE!! They are also the only optician that will order you contact lenses without making you pay in advance! This is my new spot for sunglasses ,glasses as well as contact lenses! :-)))

I experienced such excellent service at Antoine Laoun's yesterday that I can't do other than give the entire team a solid five star review. Everyone, from the optometrist's staff to the sales team treated me with such care and genuinely listened to my questions and concerns. The stylist made excellent recommendations for eye-wear, and when I asked her to help me get outside my comfort zone she happily accepted the challenge then proceeded to blow me away with fantastic suggestions that ultimately proved better than anything that I would have picked out for myself. Very very overpriced with it comes to frames and lenses, to the point where they charge you more than double, compared to online websites, they even charge you $50 extra admin fee to mount the lenses into the frame, customer service I give it a 3 out of 10 at best. Buying from a online store, was the best thing I ever did, on all levels, customer service, 2 years guarantee on frames and lenses, no hidden fees, and by the way yes I did buy Versace frames and progressive lenses with all included Anti-scratch, Anti-glare, UV protection, 100 days money back refund, for under $400 dollars. Grand bémol pour le reste, je prends mes nouvelles lunettes (lunettes percées) le vendredi et en à peine quelques heures, un des points de perçage lâche déjà (bouge car mal collé!), Je reviens pour montrer le problème et la personne qui m'a reçue me dit que c'est normal que ça bouge car c'est des lunettes percées!! sérieusement!! C'est malhonnête Aussi je remarque que la colle et le perçage sont très mal faits sur les 4 points de perçage puisqu'ils sont est très remarquable ( j'ai toujours eu des lunettes percées alors je sais que là, c'est trop: sorte de colle et de bris blanc du perçage très voyant). I have gone to change the plastic/silicon pads on 3 pairs of glasses. I did not need an apt for that and waited about 10 mins only to be served. The pads needed to be changed on 2 of the 3 pairs. The service was prompt and very well done. Although I did not purchase the glasses at Antoine Laoun Opticien I was told they offer that service free of charge. I would not hesitate to go back for an eye exam and to get new glass lenses.

I had an awful experience. They did not inform me that they were about to dilate my pupils, what the procedure is (or to bring sunglasses to protect my eyes), or how long the blurry vision will last (5h until I could use my eyes somewhat normally). When I asked when I was going to be able to see normally, I received an incredibly condescending response of "what do you need your eyes for?" and "ya you won't be able to text for a while, sorry"... Like that's the number one activity I need my eyes for? I was not informed about the procedure costing more nor asked to consent to the new price (I'm not covered, so this matters). The eye appointment took two hours, which no one seemed to care to tell me either. This appt was referred by my gp for a vision related problem that was not addressed during the eye exam. I just got a rescription for very expensive lenses. It felt like sales were more important than honesty, well-being, safety and dignity of the client.

Ce que je ne savais pas c’est que le mode de fonctionne a changer, elle me demande donc d’aller m’asseoir à une table. Je lui rementionne donc que je souhaite seulement payer et partir. Elle m’indique que le paiement se fait maintenant au table. Je la suis jusqu’à ce qu’un monsieur (que je crois être le gérant) me demande d’être plus gentille. Le commentaire de l’homme était totalement déplacer et inacceptable. Au lieu d’insulter les clients, il serait bon de voir à la qualité de vos service. Plusieurs nouvelles expériences négatives, comme la vendeuse qui ne rentre pas au travail, celle de remplacement qui ne connaît pas les produits et l’autre qui fait de vente sous pression, vos service ne sont clairement plus à la hauteur à laquelle ils étaient. Je ne crois pas avoir été déplacer ou n’avoir insulter aucun membre du personnel, j’ai mentionné mon insatisfaction et mon incompréhension face à la situation très calmement et ce, très brièvement. J'étais déçu de la situation mais il n'en valait pas la peine de le communiquer longuement. Je souhaitais plus une solution et/ou explication de leur part. Ce qui ne semble pas rentrer dans les fonctions et les compétences de tous. Le manque de prise en charge de ses incidents et le commentaire de cet homme, vous font perdre une cliente fidèle depuis quelques années.

Pre COVID-19 experiences: I hardly ever write reviews, but I want to make my experiences known to potential customers. Each time I had an eye exam here, the optometrists made me wait for +30 minutes, and I had to wait in between my appointment because they squeezed in other customers during my time with them. And it always took TWO HOURS!!!!! Last time, it wasn't even a thorough examination because he didn't address an issue I was having until I pointed it out to him. On top of that, they never informed me, nor asked for my consent to dilate my pupils, what the procedure is, if there were extra charges, nor how long the blurry vision would last (I take public transport, so that was super unprofessional, unethical and dangerous). They made me do a bunch of tests (i.e. perimetry test) and never revealed the results. Also, it was funny they took my eye prescription and claimed I would lose it, so they could only give me a crḁppy photocopy of it. Furthermore, they made mistakes with my contact lenses' order and shipped my glasses at their St-Leonard store. I no longer go there after giving them many chances. You are warned!

the optometrists are good but the service is ruined by rude and incompetent staff. my order was sent to the wrong branch, although i specifically requested pick up at the sherbrooke branch. i repeated my preference and amazingly when i came back a week later i was told that the order had been sent to the wrong branch again. i gave up and won't be going to antoine laoun again.
