J'aime quand un vendeur veut conserver un client et veut négocier. La base est de ne pas rabaisser un concurrent et encore moins son client. La vente sous commission nécessite un minimum de respect envers la clientèle. À l'exception du vendeur, j'ai tout de même aimé mon expérience.

J'ai avisé verbalement lors de mon RV d'examen de la vue que je portais des verres de contact parce que moi les lunettes et le port du masque je ne suis pas capable. J'ai demandé à l'optomeriste si c'était sa ma prescription pour des verres de contact , elle m'a répondu oui. On m'a jamais informé préalablement que je devais prendre également RV avec une opticienne pour commander mes verres de contact. De plus , il a un frais de 40$ pour une consultation verre de contact qui exige deux autres rendez-vous à la clinique. Un RV pour passer une commande de verre d'essai. Un autre RV pour faire regarder dans les yeux les verres d'essai. On m'a dit que ça prend une semaine à recevoir des verres d'essai . Fait une semaine , j'ai toujours pas reçu . Je téléphone ça réponds pas. J'ai pas eu de retour d'appel . Une semaine d'attente de revoir les verres d'essai + Une semaine à essayer+ une semaine à attendre la commande des verres . Donc , prévoir 3 semaines avant d'avoir une bonne commande de verre de contact. J'ai demandé alors de recevoir alors ma prescription de verre et je vais m'arranger pour les commander par internet sur le site de Cleary ce qui est beaucoup moins long ...on m'a dit madame pour ça il a des frais de 30$ additionnel . J'ai également parler avec le directeur de la succursale. Je lui avais expliquer au téléphone que la dernière fois je n'avais pas commander les verres avec eux parce que justement c'était trop long. Il ma dit habituellement ça prends 2-3 jours . Je fais du plein air d'hiver je trouve sa très long à attendre après des verres de contact. Faire du sport avec des lunettes c'est le chao ça devient tout embuer. J'ai pu envie de retourner la pour un prochain examen de la vue . Dommage parce que l'optomeriste est A1.

Paid 16.50$ to park, showed up 10 minutes prior to my appointment and found that the optometrist had called in sick. They DID NOT call to cancel the appointment and the staff seemed surprised by my aggravation. NEVER AGAIN! I can relate to what a lot of reviews mention, that this branch gets very busy and it can be hard to get attention & service, but once you do get the attention of a representative, the service you get is excellent. I acquired two pairs of prescription eyewear at once (shades & regular glasses). I opted for one of the optional treatment on the regular glasses that filters blue light. After receiving and wearing my glasses for a few weeks, I noticed an unpleasant yellow tinge to the lenses, and people also started asking me if they were transition. I went to the store and told them I wasn't happy with the lense treatment, and that no one mentioned it would have a yellow tinge. Despite being over the "30 day satisfaction guarantee" period, the representative agreed to replace my lenses at no cost, and to apply a different (newer) treatment without the yellow tinge. They ordered the new lenses immediately, and I got a phone call the next week inviting me to come in and get them. I don't know if that was covered under the "90 adaptation period" but regardless, I got great service, great product, and excellent care.

I just moved to Canada and needed to find a new optician. I found Newlook who offer beautiful frames at ok prices. It is not Bonlook there, but Newlooks selection looks better and is definitely better quality. I bought two pair of glasses as well as got new contacts. Very happy with the service! Fabulous service from the young man, the technician who did my eye scans.; he was pleasant and patient. The optometrist, Dr. Laudy El-Howayek did the exam with great competence and care. She is the best optometrist I ever dealth with. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the consultant who was suppose to help me choose glasses. By far, my worst shopping experience ever. I came to get prescription lenses for my sun glasses. The first result was completely different from the original lenses. I requested them to change it for a darker shade. I came back next week, and my glasses weren't there, but in another address. The staff insisted it was my fault, even if I did absolutely nothing. Another employee came and apologized, said the glasses would be there next week. I came back next week, the glasses were there, but not ready, because they cut the lenses wrong (inverted). I came back the next week to find a pair of glasses still too light (they look more like transition lenses than sunglasses) AND they lost my original lenses. The employee said he would call the lab and he would call me back,which obviously he didn't. All this process took around 6 weeks. I'm unhappy. Don't go there. This place is a mess.

I call today at 9:30 (opening hour) no answer until 10 and spoke to a rude associate that insisted on cutting me off as if I was in the wrong. I had to ask her to let me explain. Working in customer service I can understand store policies/prices may change and poor customer service. I called to order some lenses for around the price I was quoted and was told it would be about $75.00 more. I'll pay more if the service/quality is there. J'ai due aller à un autre endroit et la façon de procéder n'étais pas la même , beaucoup plus spécialisé , rencontre plus longue avec utilisation de verres spéciaux pour faire des tests pour etre certain que tout sera bien. I came here for an eye exam and ended up buying a pair of prescription glasses as well. When I first came for my eye exam I had told the girl at the desk that I had an appointment for 10:50 and was here for it, she looked at me and said I don’t think it’s here and if I knew there was another Newlook on St Catherine’s. I told I did but I specifically called this location because I work just around the corner. She then took down my name and told me my appointment had been moved to 11:15 and they tried to call me. I told her no body called me and gave a stupid stare in return. I said it’s fine whatever it’s only 25 mins difference, I’ll wait. The exam went fine however I was late for work because of this delay which really annoyed me. I knew the exams would take an hour which was why I booked it an hour and 15 mins before my shift! A few days after I returned to search for glasses, I literally had two pairs to choose from because I have a wide face. Nothing freakishly wide, just wider than usual I guess considering they barely had any options for me. I ended up picking a pair of Jimmy Choo’s. The pair came in the store exactly 10 days after ordering and when I placed them on, it was so tight on my face you could see my temples being pushed in. The girl that I was dealing with that day tried to widen it but it was just too uncomfortable for me and for $629 I was not going to settle on those glasses so I asked her what I would need to do if I found a pair I liked at another Newlook location. She said to go back to the store, get the model number and come back to give them the model so they could order it and have it sent there. I said, okay....can’t I just call you with that info or why can’t I just do it all at the other location? She was like well your file is here and we would have to take new measurements. Annoyed I just left and that was the last time I dealt with them. I went to the other Newlook and they were able to process my order fine from there because they have THE SAME database on their computer and are capable of taking measurements as well. I was so frustrated with the experience here and will never go there again. The staff are inexperienced and do not provide service in the best interest of their clients.

I went to this location for an emergency exam to have my eyes checked because I was getting blurry vision. They said they had set up and appointment for an ophthalmologist for further testing. I didn’t hear back for a week, called Newlook and they didn’t haven’t an answer for me. I kept calling newlook and no one ever knew what was going on. After about a month or so of waiting for someone to see why I wasn’t being looked at. I had to go elsewhere for proper care and help. How is that the doctors are always kind and helpful but the staff are cold and treat you like you are beneath them? On the phone they were very nice but in person, it's another story. The last time I purchased glasses for my son, they were not helpful at all. No advice on what would be the best type of frame for his prescription strength, no help at all. They look at you like you are not deserving of their help and you are a nuisance, taking up their time. Just very cold people. I have bought several pairs of glasses from them in the past but I can say for sure that I will never buy another pair of glasses from them. I can't wait for my son to get his new glasses which I purchased from a much better place. The 3 stars are only for the doctors who do the eye exams, they are wonderful.

I went back to pick up my glasses and was dissappointed in the service I recieved at the front desk. But I was surprise how She had a good service overall. From the start to the optometrist, I would recommend this place based on what service we got. Beware, don't go there... Very disappointing customer experience at this store. I went there to get new glasses that were covered by my group insurance policy. The reason I chose this store is because the blue cross website mentioned that this store was registered with them and that they offered the e-pay service, for which the service provider claim the eligible portion of your glasses cost with the insurance provider and the member only pays the portion over the amount. I mentioned this to the staff as they greeted me and they told me there would be no problem. They helped me choose a frame, then the offered me a bunch of option, and then they gave me the final price and asked me if I would be okay with that amount. They brought me to the till and asked me to pay for the full amount. It is then that I started asking about the e-pay option and I was met with confusion, excuses, and I was given some attitude from the staff until the lady from the back walked in and told me that they did not know how to do the e-pay process because the only employee that did was enno Ilonger working there. I ended up paying for the full amount for the glasses, which will cause me to go through the excruciating process of claiming the covered amount myself. Moreover, I noticed how much they charged for the finger print and hydrofuge treatments once I got home. So I call the store to have this treatment removed. The staff who answered me did not ask me my name and went to talk with the person that seemed to be the store manager. Then she told me I could not do anything because the order was placed and that only the director could do something about it if I came back on Monday. So I explained to her I could not go on Monday because of work. She gave me attitude and hung up on me. I called back multiple times before the manager picked the phone, she told me that she misunderstood my request and that she would resolve it right away after I asked for the girl's name who hung up on me. Overall, I felt that the staff was inexperienced in customer service, and I felt like I was disturbing them by asking valid questions and sharing my concerns. I regret buying glasses there and I wish they would have told me they could not do the e-pay for me on the week ends right away as I spent two hours there with young kids.

Got my glasses on the spot chose a pair and they were ready within 30-35 mins same day service is amazing!! Unfortunately the Eye Doctor was not very friendly she rushed through the exam I did not have time to even process a thought to be able to ask the right questions she did not provide any explanation either about eye care or the "WHY" this might have happened. After leaving the appointment I was left with alot of uncertainty and unanswered questions. Will be getting a second opinion. Finalement, on m'a échangé mes lunettes dont la peinture écaillait après moins de 9 mois. Mais on m'a pas téléphoné; j'ai du passer voir si ils les avaient recu finalement après 3 semaines. Et ces fameuses lunettes, la peinture a commencé encore à s'écaillé après 6 mois seulement; je me suis dit que ca paraissait pas tellement et que ca vallait pas le paquet de trouble d'aller les voir encore. Maintenant, on voit tout rayé à travers le verre de gauche lorsqu'il devient noir au soleil seulement. Mais j'ai passé et comme il y a de petite marques qu'on peut sentir avec les ongles sur le verre de droit et non le gauche, ce n'est pas garanti. C'est déjà bas de gamme en partant et je crois qu'on m'a refilé un super citron lors de l'échange sur garantie. Je n'ai jamais eu de verre d'aussi piètre qualité! 2 gros citrons pour le prix d'un!

I work downtown and from wearing a mask all day my glasses tend to stretch. This morning they were literally sliding off my face when I bent forward in the slightest way. Although this is not my usual Newlook store, this one is the closest to my work. I went in this morning to get an adjustment and was told I needed an appointment for that, ok but there were zero customers inside. I was also told it would cost $50!!! What??!!! zero stars for the service at this place I appreciate my optometrist Dr Rouhana (Dr Duhamel’s replacement) at New Look Lachine but I am frustrated with the problems by the New Look employees that manage her appointments. The first time there was a mixed up and I was scheduled with the wrong optometrist, the second time I was told that my rendezvous was cancelled by the computer system. On my most recent screwed up appointment, 2 weeks prior, I telephoned for an appointment but was told that I needed to schedule the visit myself online. As instructed, I scheduled the appointment myself. When I arrived on time, I patiently waited to be served and then discovered that she was already scheduled her last appointment of the day. There was no record in the computer that I ever made an appointment. I asked if the doctor could “fit me in” (since I was already there) but the receptionist was uncooperative and refused to even ask the doctor.

I can't believe. This is a rip off, bunch of liars. Simple fraud. I called before going and asked them if there was an special and they said "yes of course". I Visited 7 optometrist prior to that one and they all gave me the price range from $167 to $190. When I got there the guy toll me that thes best special he ( the store) can give me was $190. Wuaoooo what a special. Just before going to that store I visited "the bay of hudson" and their price was $170 with no special...hear me NO SPECIAL. And I go to new look and i took same frames , same prescription I showed to the guy at The bay...in others words: exactly the same product and same quality for $190. Can anybody tell me where is their f***** special. New look thinks that we, the customers , are a buch of complete idiots...but they are wrong.
