I’ve been going to David’s Optical since 1989. I was only six years old when David fit me for my very first pair of “bubble gum pink” frames. The friendly staff and atmosphere are truly one of a kind. I’ve been fortunate to be able to share such a special place with my own children. It’s mind blowing how Cheryl knows what I’m looking for, before I do. Thank you for the many years of service that I honestly hold near and dear to my heart.

This place is perfect!! Took glasses in after they got broken - I depended on these glasses to work! She looked at them, made no promises but when they couldn't be fixed, she GIFTED me a new set of frames for Christmas!! I dont know what I would have done without them! Wont go anywhere else now!!

Staff was great. They quickly narrowed down styles and I had a pair picked out in minutes. Time between ordering and the glasses being ready for pickup was very reasonable. Well worth the 1 hour drive there and 1 hour back.

What can I say about these 3 saints !! I called early morning to see if they could repair my glasses as they had snapped at the nose peice and Cheryl and the 2 amazing women couldn't repair them but instead gifted me a new frame and put my old lenses in at no charge I cant say thank you enough too these 3 wonderful women !! Thank you so so much for everything !

I brought my glasses to David's after sitting on them, hoping they could repair my frames. They were able to fix them in minutes, at the very end of the work day on a Friday, AND didn't charge me! I already knew their service was great because my grandparents had been going there for years, but I was blown away! I would definitely recommend going to David's Optical. They are friendly, quick, very skilled, and you can tell they love what they do!

I highly recommend David's Optical. This winter, they were attentive to me and they provided me a high quality product. I met the store owner, David, and asked him to install lenses in my own prescription in my brother's frame, which I acquired. David adjusted the arms of the glasses so that the glasses sit secure and balanced across my eyes and at just the right height on my nose. David also measured the distance between my eyes very precisely - to 0.5 mm. They had the best price for lenses out of all the stores I looked into in the Kingston area. David completed installing the lenses quicker than I expected. The glasses turned out great - they were clear and since I'd been using them, the lenses require little cleaning. Even when they are dusty or smudged, I can still see well, as compared to other lenses I've had in the past. Also, I noticed that the nosepieces on the frame that I acquired from my brother were clean after my new lenses were installed. David might have installed new nosepieces to ensure that my glasses would be great to wear. Overall, I am thankful for the service they provided and the care and attention they put into making sure that I would feel great about the business I made with them.

David and his team provide the very best service in Kingston. I go every 2 years for new glasses and they remember both my first and last name the second I walk in the door. You can get your glasses re-adjusted as often as needed. David even just custom-shaped a pair of lenses for me since I'm so picky about the shape of my glasses. This is one of the best small businesses in Kingston without a doubt.

Hands down the place to go for glasses. Sheryl is so sweet, honest and fair when it comes to prices. They are extremely helpful. The environment is extremely welcoming, bright and classy. I am a Queen's student, so the convenient location is really nice too. Don't even second guess it, go in and check them out.

My daughter got her pair of glasses at 20months old, David and his team have been awesome fixing or adjusting her glasses. They are super nice people and fabulous with child with a warranty that can't be beat. I highly recommend them with anyone with children needing glasses.

I went in this afternoon for the first time (after hearing great things about the place). So glad I did! Cheryl, the owner and optician, is very knowledgable and helped me so much!! I really can't say enough good things about this place. Another wonderful help was Katie. I needed advice about which frames to choose and I got honest replies from Katie. Knowledgeable and friendly. You can't beat this place!

I broke my glasses this past weekend and was despairing a bit because I expected it to be complicated to get them fixed. I dropped in, and was in and out in about 15 minutes. The team explained some of the risks of doing it yourself (glues and solvents can cause the layers of the lens to separate because of the materials that hold the invisible layers of the lens together), as well as back up options if the repair didn't take (finding frames that fit the lens to keep from needing to pay for new lenses). I think there's a small fee when soldering is required (metal), but because my repair was quick, it was complimentary! The team was very friendly and welcoming, and the frames I briefly looked at while I waited seemed to be stylish and affordable.

I would give 10 stars if I could. The service and the atmosphere has always been absolutely phenomenal. When shopping for a pair of frames for my partner, they gave excellent recommendations. Unmatched by any other optical store I've experienced.
