My experience at the sun glass hut back in mid July will be the last because I will never go there again. The sales person. Samantha, was very nice. Friendly. Very professional at first. Sold me a pair of Oakley Holbrook metal sunglasses. They were close to the $300 mark. Very nice glasses. Love them. I would never have thought and it would never have crossed my mind that I’d have to pay for a case and a cleaning cloth seperately for that price. Paid for the glasses. Found out after that I need to pay an extra $11.99 for a cloth and an extra $25 atleast for a case so i can protect these expensive glasses. When I found out about that it was more so a slap in the face. I thought, “screw this I want my money back”. “Sorry sir but final sale” was the response. What ever happened to a 30 day return policy. What a terrible and rude response after the kind of money I just dropped. I will never shop at the sunglasses hut again. That was terrible service. I felt used and non appreciated.

I think the associates name is Logan. They were very friendly and helpful fixing my sunglasses while being the only person working at the time with multiple customers in store. I appreciate the time taken to adjust my glasses and make them new. This associate has exceedingly great customer service skill, keeping the store clean while helping customers in an efficient but thorough manner.

I bought a pair of Ray-Bans for my son's birthday at The Sunglass Hut at Halifax Shopping Centre, first making sure of the return and refund policy. The gift was a surprise so I wanted to ensure he could return them for a refund and have the freedom to buy elsewhere if they didn't have what he liked. I had a pair in mind that I thought he might like so went in and asked for them. The salesperson gave me the spiel about all the benefits about being able to return them within 90 days--no hassle, etc. Believe me, it's been a GIANT hassle. A couple of days later when I was getting ready to gift wrap them, I took them out of the case and tried them on only to discover that the coating had gaps around the edges and there was a scratch on them. I took them back and a nice lady replaced them. I gave my son the gift and he didn’t hate them but thought another pair might suit him better. He went in with the gift receipt they suggested I include with the gift and he picked out a pair that was about $80 cheaper. He came back with a gift card that he will NEVER use. I was NOT happy. I returned to the store to see why they did not give him money back. Apparently it was because he did not have the original receipt or credit card. They did NOT tell me that a gift receipt would mean that he would only get a credit. In fact, I had sent him a photo of the receipt just to make sure he wouldn’t get hassled. He’s 22, doesn’t like shopping and just accepted what the salesperson told him. The next morning, in spite of being crazy busy myself, I’m annoyed enough to head back to the store to get our $80 back, since I DO have the original credit card and receipt. They WOULD NOT give me my money back because “there’s nothing in the system that will allow that”. I asked her for a number for the head office. She said she didn’t have one. She gave me a customer service number which I called and was told that the issue would be escalated and I’d hear from someone in 24 to 48 hours. No one from head office called me back. The store manager (who probably has six months experience and zero decision making ability) called me back instead during dinner hour to “apologize for the experience” but couldn’t actually do anything but waste more of my time. I told her that I wanted to speak with someone from head office as promised and she said she would pass it on to her regional manager. I asked for the email of her regional manager and the store manager refused to give it to me. I’m still waiting. If you want a hassle free experience, DO NOT shop at the Sunglass Hut. It was my first and last experience.

They price match any retail store and have the best selection North of Victoria on good quality, designer sunglasses. Awesome warranties, including a warranty for accidental damage like scratching your lenses, 90 day return or exchange policy (longer than I’ve seen on most products anywhere; and a lot of places don’t even have have a return/exchange policy on sunglasses!!!), and they adjust your glasses for life if you sit on them or they stretch out over time. On top of all that, super helpful, friendly staff who give suggestions on styles and give genuine, honest opinions. Never feels pushy, plus they refill their spray cleaners for life so you can keep your investment clean for less. Overall, Sunglass Hut is easily the best place to buy your sunglasses, I would never shop anywhere else!

She did an exchange for a pair of Ray Bans that are very durable and she knew what pair would fit my face sight unseen. I come back 2 weeks later to pick them up and there perfect. Emily and her sidekick are clearly just out of their depths working in that environment, putting the phone down is the first option. Thankfully Grant at the Calgary store was professional.

Went to the kiosk in the Oshawa mall today for 2 reasons. First, my sunglasses that has exchangeable lenses, had the lens fall out so I went for them to fix. Caitlyn was amazing. She not only fixed them in like 10 seconds but also cleaned them for me. 2nd reason was to get a 2nd pair of glasses because I received an email notice saying glasses were 50% off. Caitlyn was excellent in explaining to me the difference between polarized and polarized prism which turns out that's what I want for tennis. Since they were only 30% off I decided to go home and order online... lol, they were also only 30% off online (although a few extra colour choices). If Caitlyn is on commission, although I did end up buying online, she deserves the commission since she's the one that educated me and basically sold me on a particular pair of sunglasses. Note I also like Sunglasses Hut's warranty and always buy my sunglasses here.

Sunglass Hut has an amazing 3 month return policy and they also give you a complimentary warranty package with every pair. They price match anywhere on the island too and they will clean and adjustment them for you forever. Not sure what the guy below is talking about, his sunglasses must have been scratched! They can’t be damaged in any way of course if you are trying to return them. Oakley’s are the only brand that don’t come with a case but cases start at $10 and go directly to charity. They do however come with a complimentary microfiber pouch that can be used to clean them. Definitely the best place to buy Sunglasses.

Staff need better sales training. I came here a few weeks ago on the fence about buying some nice new sunglasses. I walk up to the booth and all three staff members are looking down scrolling on their phones. I call someone over. I start asking to try on some glasses and the employee looks at me as though I am making him do me a favour. After trying on 3 pairs, the guy is just staring at me, blank face, like I'm doing something wrong. Did not offer any advice on how they look or on how to pick glasses even though I was asking probing questions. Ended up leaving without buying anything.

Needed assistance on repairing a pair of sunglasses (just before noon right after Civic Long Weekend). Personnel was not helpful at all. Quickly proceeded to say we don't repair on site. Fine, but courtesy goes a long way. Then asked where I could find the display for Oakley sunglasses. Again, with no friendliness, pointed to display case. I would rather shop online than visit this kiosk. Never again! Poor service, if you would call "pointing" a sevice.

Excellent service from Stefan at the Sunglass Hut in the Bay, Polo Park, Winnipeg. Due to inventory shortage, originally purchased from another store in the mall. Less than 2 weeks later, a mishap left the glasses damaged. Under the warranty we purchased another pair from Paul at St. Vital mall, who was compassionate at hearing our situation, knowledgeable, extremely professional and helpful during a stressful time. We would absolutely recommend the Sunglass Hut to all.
