Honestly, Hakim Optical is the only place in Fredericton where you can always get 5 star customer service! I went in tonight and was helped by Ben, and he's the best. Went above and beyond to help me find a pair of frame to replace a pair I had recently broke. Always happy to go back :)

Such an amazing store. An awesome selection of frames, and more importantly extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. Ben is excellent. He really knows his stuff. I had a frame that kept breaking and he found me a supirior frame and put my lenses in them. Ready in an hour, wow!!! I will always go here from now on. So, I didn't need glasses, but I did have a pair of expensive headphones that had lost some screws and became unusable. It irked me because I'd paid good money for them, but apparently screws falling out and getting lost doesn't fall under warranty. So after poking around hardware stores every now and then over a few months someone suggested I try to buy some small screws at eyeglasses store. So I popped into Hakim Optical in Fredericton, told them my issue, and if it would be possible to purchase some small screws. Well, the fella there, Ben, whisked the headphones up, retreated into his workshop and for the next 20 minutes he worked diligently to not only find screws, but to grind and file them down for a perfect fit, that he said should never fall out again. AND he refused payment when he was finished. I had only asked to buy some screws, but he went above and beyond, well outside his usual scope of repairing eyeglasses. The headphones have been given a new life - and even though I don't need glasses (yet) I know where I will go when I do. Fantastic work Hakim Optical, and Ben. You are good people.

Had an eye exam and then looked at frames with Jolene's assistance. Regrettably ended up getting my first pair at a competitor but went back to Hakim 6 months later. Jolene (the extraordinaire) recalled the frames we had looked at and helped me select prescription sun glasses. If you want to be treated like "you" matter and not just your business; go see Jolene and the team there for great customer service. I'm really glad I did.

They replaced TWO pairs of frames for me at no cost, with no trouble at all, when I had an allergic reaction to them. The quality of the frames was good, the only issue was my allergy to the plating. Ben helped me pick out two pairs of plastic frames with similar lens shapes - I was able to get one pair immediately (thank goodness) and the other arrived less than a week later. Very happy with their service and they have my business in the future.

I don't think I've given a 5 star review yet. I'm really impressed with the operation of this location. VERY friendly, professional, understanding and helpful. The store front is crisp & clean. The entry is welcoming and warm - not crowded like some businesses do to maximize floor space. The displays are neat and clean - and not just early in the day. The only problem I had/have is accessing the parking lot from a westerly approach. I'd advise to use Regent St. onto Prospect St. - this will put you on the same side of the street as the store. Jolean deserves a pat on the back for a job well done. I had an issue with one lens. Ben - the Optician/Manager took care of it with great care and attention. Would do business with them again and refer them to a friend. GOOD WORK!

A few months ago, I stopped in to pick out new frames since letting my hair go white. Ben was so helpful and with much patience on his part, we finally found the perfect ones. Had a few problems with the frames and on the second visit I spoke to Lisa and she explained that if the problem couldn't be resolved, I could pick out a different frame as it had a one year warranty. Ben came up with a solution and when I returned they fit perfectly. What a pleasure dealing with both Ben and Lisa. Great service!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stopped in at Hakim Optical and saw Ben as my daughter had broken her only pair of glasses. As usual Ben was very obliging and offered to have a look at them. I told him that I would leave them and pick them up when I could and when they were ready. Later in the day Ben called to let me know that they were fixed ( miracle really ) and I told him I would have to get them the following morning as I was alone at work and couldn't close. At approximately 7:10 I was paged to the showroom to see Ben standing there holding my daughters glasses. He told me he didn't want her to be distressed by having to go all night without her glasses. oh....and there was no charge. I didn't even know how to respond. These people at Hakim ( specifically Ben ) are what old time service is all about. Thank you Ben. You just gained another entire families business and admiration.

When I walked in I was met by friendly staff who helped me pick out frames with no pressure. They told me what worked and what didn’t and I appreciated their honesty. My glasses broke on my way to work this morning, I called Hakim Optical and they said to come right in and they would see what they could do for me. They could not save my frames so they picked out a few frames that my lenses would fit and within 30 minutes I was in and out with new glasses. I can't thank you enough for rescuing me this morning. Typically I find glasses shopping the most annoying experience, but my most recent experience was one of the best or more accurately the best experience I have with much thanks to Ben. He was friendly, helpful and the opposite from pushy. In contrary to other people pushing to get me to try a new shape of glasses they think better suite my face; he helped me find two pairs of exactly the shape I was looking for. He even managed to make both pairs of glasses I wanted made by the end of the day when all he originally promised was one. Best service I have ever received.
