Beware. Check the math on your invoices! I was overcharged $40 and had to go back more than once to get it back. Was then overcharged $33.61 according to coverage and had to call provider to verify amount. I was told they “thought” I’d been notified. They’ll overcharge and pocket it if they can. Very dishonest business practice. Still waiting for other overcharge to be refunded because the owner has to ok it. Zero stars if I could. *edit* I was actually overcharged a grand total of $435.19. Yesterday, after over 3 months, I was finally refunded. What a headache!

I really love Optiks Optiks 2 for 1 Eyewear and they deserve my 5 star rating! The receptionist and staffs are very friendly and welcoming which always catches the customer's attention for re-visitings in the future. My first visit was last year (2019) when I went in to get a new pair of glasses. Although they had quite a range of frames to choose from, I liked the ones I had (purchased out of Canada) which was unrepairable and they did not have that frame in their shelves. However, BECK went online to find the exact pair and ordered in, and the pricing was very reasonable and affordable! My purchase and experience was greatly satisfying as a customer. Hence, I recently had a visit with my boyfriend to get him a pair of glasses as well. Great help with picking the frame and understanding the preferences of a customer.

Be ready to deal with a persistent sales manager when shopping here. However, he takes his google reviews seriously so he'll do right by you in the end and his optometrist probably has some of the most up to date equipment in town so it's a decent place to go. Interestingly enough I found his staff had the place open half an hour early on a Saturday!

Wooow. This is by far the best service I have recieved in my 6 years in Fort McMurray. It’s not even worth to be called customer service but rather call it customer experience. From the time I walked in yesterday Alicia (spelling) was awesome to deal with. Friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Felt like talking to a friend. You could tell she loves to do what she does. Beck was awesome as well and made it less of a transaction. He was very professional and got to know him a little and I ended spending more time in there than I should have. Amazing guys. Keep it up. Very inviting store as well. Brightly lit unlike other eye places I have been to in bigger cities.

She was very thorough during the exam and I didn't feel rushed when going through the routine of all the lenses as I have experienced at other optometrists in the past. Was told my glasses would be mailed to me when they where finished but never did. Ended up having to get a friend to pick them up because they wanted an extra $40 just to mail them. Was never told about the $40 dollar fee up until it was time for pick up. But i couldn't because i don't live in the city Too bad tho because the last place i went too sent my glasses for free without any extra costs

I got to say that my experience with Optiks Optiks was the best I’ve had, I’ve been wearing glasses my whole life and the treatment I got here was by far the best. I live in Nova Scotia but I worked in fort Mac Murray at the time of the purchase but since have been working at home. I needed warranty work done and even with the flood and COVID-19 they helped me out with no cost to me what so ever!!! They even extended the Warranty to make up for it all!! Even though I live at the other end of the country they will always have my business and I highly recommend them.

My wife bought contacts here and was charged 65 dollars for training. You put them on your finger and insert. Just saved everyone who didn’t know 65 dollars. Also she wasn’t warned there was a 65 dollar fee to find out how to put contact lenses on her finger and insert. Not a cheap guy by any means, but that is the most disgusting surcharge I have ever heard of. A pharmacist doesn’t charge you money to show you how to take pills and a dentist doesn’t charge to show you how to brush and floss.

Looking around was totally no-pressure which I loved, and the owner of this store was super fun and helpful :). If you have kids please don't use this eye doctor. Year after year he over prescribed eye glasses with very high prescription numbers for my kid. This made my child's eye sight even worst. We had to go to a child eye specialist in Edmonton. He reduced the prescription number by a lot. Save your kids eye sight. Go to a specialist in Edmonton. (The staff is great and helpful)
