This is the best Optometrist I have had - ever! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly (their music selection is always great) and treated with respect the entire way through my experience. I have been to the Guelph Iris pre-COVID and now during the COVID-19 pandemic, and they have adapted very well to safety protocols. Everything was sanitized and thoroughly cleaned before and after use, and the staff made sure to explain every step of the appointment. The staff members conducting the pre-exams are always very friendly and efficient. They walked me through every step, and gave clear instructions. I always feel very welcome when I am at this office. I see Dr. Tamblyn, who is simply wonderful! Dr Tamblyn explains everything very clearly, and is friendly, encouraging, and supportive. Everyone in the office feels like a friend every time I visit, and I couldn't recommend them more! The experience of purchasing frames and lenses from Iris has been a breeze for me both times I have done so, with a helpful staff and easy-to-understand pricing. They have a great selection, and want to ensure every customer is comfortable and happy with their purchase. I have a lot of respect for the staff in this office because they have gone above and beyond every time I have been there. They go the extra mile to ensure you get as much coverage as possible, which is incredibly helpful. If you are looking for an optometrist, this is the place for you!

I attended for the first time today. I was blown away by how professional the place looked. Everything was really clean and so well organized. I was quickly offered a seat, along with a coffee, and in no time I was speaking with Dr. Tamblyn. She was incredibly knowledgeable and very kind. Started having trouble with my sight (headaches, tired eyes) and scheduled an appointment. Went in and had an appointment with Brad who did a thorough job and spent extra time explaining what I was experiencing (astigmatism). I hadn't had much experience at an Optometrist so it was nice he took the extra time to help me understand. Since obtaining a prescription and getting glasses - no more headaches/tired eyes and everything is clear and a game changer. Staff was friendly, quick to get in to be seen and appointments were on time. A++

I went in with my spectacles which were getting loose asking if they could fix and I would be happy to pay for it. The lady on the front desk said it would be free of charge but she couldn't guarantee. They way it sounded was she wasn't sure if she could tighten my specs at worse. 10 minutes later she came out with 2 pieces of what used to be my specs snapped right from the middle ductaped together saying it was of "poor quality". I asked her to help me by finding another frame for me immediately as I was blind as a bat without my spectacle. They couldn't help me. So they gave me back my specs in the condition you can see in the image

I have been a patient of Dr. Blanchard for 30 years. I have always had great service and my experience today picking out and buying my new glasses was exceptional. I have always bought my frames and contacts from them as well. They have great selection, top brands and competitive pricing, and I like being able to go in for an adjustment, and get that personalized service. Today when I went in to pick up frames for my old glasses that had broke but were covered under warranty (which was amazing) I wanted to "look" at new frames, and have been avoiding the change over from single vision to progressive lenses. After getting guided by Lina I bought a new pair of frames and lenses, and am positive I made the right choice, after being presented with all the available options. She really listened to me and showed me the options that best suited me and my current needs. She took special note of what I would be using the glasses for with regard to both the look and functionality I wanted. I felt like she took personal pride and ownership in me and wanted me to be thrilled with my glasses and that they would suit my needs perfectly. By asking clarifying questions and not making assumptions she exceeded my expectations and I am happy to recommend her to anyone shopping for glasses/frames. She was also very knowledgable about progressive lenses, various lens options, matching the right frame to the face andwhat's in style.

The photo image they took of my eyes for the exam the optometrist said it was a poor image yet they never bothered to take another one. I walked out of the store with $912.00 on a fexiti 6month plan to pay which took over 1hr to sign up for in the store, only to be told when I finally was able to pick them up 3 weeks later because the first pair didn't pass a quality test that I would have to pay $250.00 because that's what my health plan covers. I feel I got ripped off with this 250.00 because that wasn't my understanding. My understanding was the amount put on my flexiti card. Nobody to blame but myself I suppose, but I will never be going back for the amount I spent there. Should have went to Costco. I suggest you do the same.

I am sorry it has taken me so long to post this review! Brandie, at the Guelph/clair rd location is amazing. She went above and beyond to help me out of a really difficult spot. At the beginning of the first covid shut down (march 2020), my sunglasses were stolen from my car. The place that I had purchased them from was closed and not able to remake them, as they were not able to order supplies or access to the frame. I couldn't try new frames etc as all locations were closed. I contacted Iris and Brandie took the frame info and said she would try to find it in their inventory- and she did! Then she got the measurement info from the optician at the place I had purchased my previous pair from, and made up my sunglasses! I went to pick them up- at the time of the shut down she was unable to adjust them at all- but reassured me i could come for adjusting when things were more open. I never needed to! They fit perfectly! And i have been wearing them and loving them ever since ???? Thanks Brandie!

This is the BEST optical place that I have ever visited. I was losing my sight in one of my eyes and I was very worried. I was given an appointment immediately, and the optomitrist found the issue quickly and reassured me that I would not lose my sight. He was right! The quality of products is excellent. The service is unsurpassed by any other optical place. Friendly staff, prompt and efficient service, are but a few of the compliments that I can give. I return for adjustments regularly, as my dog usually puts them out of adjustment, and I am always greeted as if I were a member of their family! I will not go anywhere else, and I would recommend that everyone go to Iris on Main Street for excellent and friendly service. :)

These guys were absolutely incredible. Their online booking system was super easy to use and helps you pick a specific time that works for your schedule. Everything was clean and I appreciated their effort to constantly sanitize common surfaces/areas. The optometrist was friendly, as was the technician and receptionist. Then when I decided I didn't want a feature I just left them a voicemail and they called back confirming they cancelled part of the order I decided not to get and let me know a credit or refund was available on my account upon picking up the glasses. I seriously appreciate everything this team did to make my experience comfortable and enjoyable!

Rude. I called initially before coming over to inquire if they repair glasses that my son had broke. I was informed that they did and an optician was available for repair services. I travelled to the store on Clair Rd,Guelph only to be advised rather rudely that because I was not a customer of their store there was nothing they could do. All my son's glasses needed was a new arm to be ordered in which they were not readily nor willing to do because I was NOT a regular customer of theirs. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WILL NOT BE GETTING ANY OF MINE OR MY FAMILIES BUSINESS AND I WILL BE ADVISING MY FRIENDS,COLLEAGUES AND CLIENTS OF THE POOR SERVICE.

Just went back after a few years going to other places. I find their testing/imaging/knowledge to be more thorough and got better vision with Dr. Bugescu's prescription. The only minor drawbacks would be a small lack of punctuality (apt times), expensive products and a sales pitch for glasses when I had already explained that finances dictated contacts only. But again, I know these things and still returned because of their superior skills.

I was a patient under the care of Marisa Blanchard from the age of 8 . I refused to buy my glasses and contacts anywhere else until last year. Our relationship as patient/optometrist declined drastically, which was a big disappointment to me. My last order of contacts were late coming in, and, after several calls and being told they were not in, I was not sure what could be going on. I prefer contacts, and, finally, one of the front reception staff exclaimed that they were in fact in the office, and had been overlooked. Bottom line--- they insisted I prepay in advance, and given the lenses arriving and being overlooked, I was uncomfortable with that. Therefore, I had to go elsewhere. Be aware if you are ordering contacts here!
