After my son's refills run out I will be going to a different pharmacy in Perth. I do not mind the wait times, things happen, places get busy. I notice this is the biggest complaint about this location. That being said, the one pharmacist is highly unprofessional. He has messed up my Mother's prescriptions and he was also very unprofessional during a consultation about my son's thrush medication on today's date around 4:30 pm. I understand the pharmacist has a responsibility to inform patients about risks and precautions to make sure an infant/child does not develop thrush, but he was rude telling me, "the reason why this keeps happening to your son is because you are not sterilizing the bottles properly". First of all, this is the first and only time that my son has ever had thrush. Secondly, there needs to be a professional line of informing a patient versus being rude and misinformed or jumping to conclusions. To clarify, it was not Myron Li, his consultations have always been professional, it was the other pharmacist.

Shoppers staff were fine, it was the Pharmacist here, a Male who was abusive to me and mean and controlling. He raised his voice at me and tried to make me buy full prescriptions even though I told him I just moved here and Needed a few meds till I found mine. He did not care. I have 100 per cent insurance coverage on my meds and I am also a Veteran with a Severe Mental Illness and he did not care. He said he would charge me full price for a few pills, almost 70 dollars, instead of showing me compassion and caring to help me for a few days. I walked out very stressed and worried with no help from him. He also was going to make me wait another hour after already waiting an hour for meds from there. I never went back. If I gave this Pharmacist a 1 out if 10 rating for how mean he was to me on my first visit, I would give him a 10, being the meanest Pharmacist I have ever met. I suggest u go elsewhere, anywhere else is better than this place. I was hurt and I felt worried about my meds, I also felt afraid of this Pharmacist and I left very rapidly after he was so mean to me. I gave him none of my money and I went elsewhere. But the rest of the store and staff are nice I'll shop there for sure just not for medicine. He should feel ashamed of himself for his lack of professionalism here.

Generally I find myself waiting in a line of 5 or 6 people with only one cashier. Other times I have stood at the checkout counter for 5 to 10 minutes alone waiting for a cashier. I will not support self checkout. I’ve actually avoided shoppers for so long I don’t think I’ve been there in 6 months. Ive gone into shoppers several times looking for an electronic item on sale in the flyer which they never have. Why advertise it in the flyer if you don’t carry it?

I have been really disappointed with the service by the pharmacy team at my local Perth location. I was inquiring about booking a COVID Rapid Antigen test for a trip in January. The gentleman pharmacist wasn't very responsive to my questions and just told me to book a test online. There was no lineup behind me, he just appeared he didn't want to help answer my questions. Anyway, I went to the shoppers website and and had a terrible experience trying to book a test. It redirected me to the LifeLab website and wants me to pay $150??? Tried calling The Perth shoppers twice, no response . So I call Smiths Falls shoppers 1min later Shawn a wonderful pharmacist took the time to LISTEN to my concerns and booked me an appointment over the phone. I understand it's a stressful time for us all but Shoppers is the only business providing this service in the area and should be ready to assist it's community.This is the wrong approach to service and the booking Experience on the website needs to be clear for rapid testing/ traveling. Apologies for the lengthy message but this is an important review for service

Have been with them for years, and not sure what has changed, perhaps a new owner or pharmacist, but we recently moved our prescription files to another drug store. Personal service and assistance almost non existent, not reading our prescription file notes, etc. Very disappointed.

Consistently frustrated by the pharmacy at this location. They don't have common meds on hand (even standard antibiotics) often give you just a few days and make you come back. As I have to drive 20 mins both ways to come in this is very frustrating. The organization is also lacking. It frequently takes 20 mins to locate a filled prescription. Even if you called in to verify your meds are ready you might show up and find out they are not ready, or are incomplete.

The information about covid-19 vaccines is confusing and misleading. Please update your website so people know you are only offering vaccines to high risk populations. It's also impossible to book a vaccine online, even though it's supposedly an option on the website. I had great difficulty getting my call through and checked the number several times. When the phone did pick up, I was on hold for 15 minutes. After reading some of the other reviews I can see there is work that needs to be done to improve the customer experience.

As she has generously done many times before, my wife stopped by this afternoon to pick up two prescriptions that were ready for me, waited in line for 20 minutes, only to be told they wouldn't release them without photo ID. The people behind the counter were uncompromising and then positively rude to me when I phoned to complain. We will no longer to be going to this Shoppers, but will go the lovely folks in Almonte instead.

Great Pharmacy! I called first to transfer my prescription from another pharmacy. It took a while to get through on the phone but this is understandable considering we are in a pandemic. While talking on the phone, the pharmacist was able to find smaller doses of my medication because I was working with my doctor to adjust dosage to minimize side effects. She went and checked their inventory to make sure they had enough of the lower dose pills. They contacted the other pharmacy quickly and my prescription was ready when they said it would be ready. Thanks for the helpful and prompt service.

This New Glasgow location really needs more checkout staff on weekends during 2 day sales.The lines get long as lotto tickets are checked and tobacco is purchased. Affiliated with Atlantic Super Store their prices do not match. Self check outs are way too close such that your neighbor may see your pin number or you might catch an elbow while packing your items. The pharmacy is efficient and did (still might) offer pagers so you could browse if there was a line up.

Went to this location for the AZ vaccine as a walk in. Josh did a fantastic job organizing and coordinating the line. Very poised and professional. The system, once I was in the store, was fine. My only suggestion is the waiting area before the shot is not well designated. Maybe a bigger sign saying" wait here for vaccine" rather that a "2" would be more informative. Mohamed was so good at administering the shot, I didn't even feel it. Ted, the manager(?) and his wife were very pleasant in the post shot area. Overall the store was clean and well organized. I had a great experience in this SDM.

Staff doesn't care about the customers. Like, at all. They never ever greet me even if they see me, sometimes they give me that "stop bothering me" expression when I just approach one of them and ask for help. Wow! Went there together with my friend today, she wanted to buy a lipstick on sale that, during checkout, appeared to be regular price. And the cashier totally didn't help us resolve the issue, she just practically told us to go check the prices ourselves... I totally didn't know that price check was a responsibility of the customer! She didn't even bother trying to call the other staff who could (possibly, maybe) help us figure that out. So, summary: in Shoppers, nobody cares about you in the slightest (and that's on top of missing price tags, expired goods, etc.). Very disappointed and never want to support the company.

I've had my very presence in the store questioned both times I've been there, that last time was as I sat with my family waiting an exorbitantly long time for my daughters flu shot, glares from members of the pharmacy staff who could not seem to comprehend my presence.. This is the closest post office to me. I now go well out of my way to avoid this post office. I could list more than a hand full of things that of happened but instead just take my advice and go to Peter st. They have the WORST customer service at Front st, not to mention the supervisor has a pretty poor sense on how to speak with customers. Personally I go all the way up to Westmounts shoppers, MUCH better customer service.

(Translated) I had forgotten my strips for my blood sugar tests in Quebec and the pharmacist was very kind, he called the pharmacy in Qc to collect the prescription and finally give me the said strips and a receipt to be reimbursed and everything went lasted just over 15 minutes. Great service! The new owner has a bad influence, she worked at Rexall before and treats clients very poorly if nobody is nearby. Argues about everything, yet is all sweet and pleasant in front of a crowd. She is lazy and sneaky. The store is the usual SDM set-up, the cashiers are very helpful, pharmacy staff do their best but there is a constant turnover of people, so nobody knows you even if you are there most weeks. Staff part time pharmacists are excellent. Post office trained staff are terrible. incompetent and slow. Best to go to central Post office building for parcels, or use the mailboxes for letters.

Called a week in advance to get my prescription transferred from another pharmacy. When I arrived at the time I told them I would pick up the drug, on the day I needed it, it was clear that no one had followed up beyond having the prescription transferred. Pharmacist seemed pretty indifferent about whether or not they got me the drugs I needed. Told me to come back the next day, despite already being told that wasn’t an option. Blamed the pharmacy assistants for the problem. Not a good place for anything beyond standard prescriptions.

The store part is absolutely fine, no complaints there with the Shoppers staff, they seem to care and know what they're doing....BUT.... The pharmacy is the WORST! Super rude staff, never seem to have things ready when they tell you it will be ready to go... they seem to always be behind on orders and on multiple occasions, they'll be 'busy' but half the staff are hanging around chatting like they don't have anything to do. We recently transferred our orders to get filled at a different pharmacy.

I have been racially profiled in this Shoppers not once, not twice, but thrice now. 3 different incidents in less than a year. That says a lot. It's like (some of) the staff thinks I'm out to steal whenever I come here. Why ask to inspect my bag, and not the others'? What about me makes you think I'm a shoplifter? Can't think of anything but my race. Awful and humiliating. The only reason I ever come here is because of the lack other options. Otherwise, I would never set foot in this place ever again.

Edited, new review.in pharmacy..Wasn't given info for my concerns. My honest opinion is that there's so much confusion going on that I have trust issues. This is now the 3rd time that I have had extreme dishonesty. I was told I signed up for their online med ordering which I never did. Be very careful if you receive a message from them. I thought this could have been spam as I didn't sign up. The person in pharmacy repeatedly said I did sign up for online. I can truly see that they don't have my best interests at heart. The man I spoke with on the phone basically said I was lying as I had to have signed up, End result, was charged full price for a portion of meds as they ran out yet again. I have to go back in and wait again, and I have to find the money now to pay for this error on their part for giving me a script I didn'to rder. They don't do refunds due to pandemic. Pretty sad to be that way during covid19. I guess it really is time to switch to a smaller pharmacy. They work with you, not against you. The cashiers in store part are fantastic....I only have good things to say about them..just not the pharmacy. They really upset me...Money is tight right now and to be charged for something I didn't order upsets me terribly. I'm sure some people are treated well, but I haven't been.

Find yourself any other pharmacy in town. Save yourself the grief. Service is poor on all levels. Came in yesterday, prescription wasn't ready. Said it would be ready in two hours, came back the next day and still wasn't ready... This after waiting 20+ minutes in line. And it appears there was another gentleman who had a similar experience and now as I type this, another customer's script isn't ready... No contrition on their part whatsoever. Their slogan is "Everything you expect from a pharmacy... And much more". Well I expected my script to be ready when they said it would and it wasn't and I get the impression I am not alone in this experience today... I don't think that's an unfair expectation of a pharmacy... Is it??? One star is too generous.

The pharmacist lady was rude and embarassed my family member with many customers standing around. She complained about other peoples preacriptions and how she needed to take her sandwhich out of the fridge. This was at 830pm as my family member was in dire need of ventolin which the pharmacist said she didnt have, which she was holding in her hand. We will never go back thanks to her poor customer service. It was a nightmare.

Extremely rude and condescending customer service from the pharmacy over the phone. My fiancé called regarding a covid test and had a few questions as he’s rightfully very concerned, and he was basically rushed off the phone within 30 seconds of speaking to a woman who treated him like a child. Prices and corporate profits are ridiculously high. I prefer a small local independent pharmacy rather than another big box store. Tonight I got off work from the nursing home I've worked at for 20 years. It was extremely hot today and I work in dietary so it was extra hot. I've had anxiety as long as I can remember, shopping is very hard for me. So I sometimes look at something and look at something else while I think about it, and come back. Every single time I'm in the makeup section I hear the same announcement, and suddenly some young girl is asking me if I want help. That is the last thing I want. So it's blasted across the store like I'm trying to steal and you have someone come check on me. If I want help I will ask someone for it. Do you guys ever think about the fact not everyone wants attention called to them, that you are making it uncomfortable for some people to shop? That I'm not stealing, I'm making a decision. Now because of my anxiety, I will spend the rest of the night upset because I was reading razor packs to see what ones to get, not stealing

Where to start with this lot? Well, they are incredibly slow at counting pills, dropping them in containers and handing them over. Everything seems to take at least 30 minutes, just enough time to spend more money in their store. If your medications are backordered, do not expect phone call....it will not happen, neither will they attempt to find alternative medication.Try to find another pharmacy, because these guys are hopeless.

This is For the Pharmacy. Store I've never had a problem. So I've had to use the shoppers drug Mart pharmacy a couple times when my pharmacy wasn't open that day or whatever it may be. I felt like because the medication I was on I was treated like a drug addict I walked up to pick up meds and was told to take a seat it will be awhile then I watched them serve to customers that came up after me. So after 35mims sitting there I got my medication that was sitting there ready for me. Just felt very uncomfortable and judged by staff also felt like they did not put the customer first they continued to do what they were doing until they felt like serving me and I've heard this from other people as well

Customer Service Lied. They said they faxed my Dr for repeats and I called back, told me I had to call my Dr. which is also another lie. It is their job to get repeats. I have been with out my psyche medications for a week now. This location needs to hire better staff and train them properly. The women I spoke with was rude and raised her voice to me. I will be transferring my file to another pharmacy. My friend warned me not to use this pharmacy and I should of listened to him. I have dealt with shoppers drug mart for years but this location has a real problem. This review does not even deserve a 1 star rating but it is the lowest possible option.

THe customer service at this drug store is horrible. They have omitted needed medications from my dad's blister packs, put the wrong meds in it and just recently I couldn't even get a simple perscription filled because no one there thought to ask me while I was waiting in the store if it needed to go in the blister pack. After waiting 45 minutes they wanted me to wait again so they could do the perscription as I had originally requested.

What can I say about the Optimum Program?! Not enough! I love collecting and redeeming my points. Amy in cosmetics is a star, and so is the amazing cashier who helped me pay for my dog food!! The managers must treat their staff well because the staff treats their customers very well!

This Shoppers drug mart is one of the worst. The staff are very rude and inpatient. I had my doctor fax my prescription over. When I went to pick it up they told me I should have called it in to be filled. When every other time my doctor faxed prescriptions in they had it ready a few hours later. When I asked about why this is I was treated rudely. Then I was told I would have to wait a few days for my prescription when I'm out and need my prescription asap. The staff member was extremely rude to me and inconsiderate. I will not be using shoppers any more for my prescription needs or for anything else for that matter. Obviously I'm not the only one experiencing this from this store as I see in the comments. Maybe Shoppers drug mart corporate office need to investigate this store. But instead when they reply to a review they ask for people to call a number so they can give more information. This is making your company look bad. If one would like to be treated with care and respect I would go to somewhere else not the Perth Ontario Shoppers drug mart. Another thing they are not following or enforcing the social distancing or enforcing the walking down one way isles. Very bad for a pharmacy to not be strictly enforcing covid19 rules and laws. ????????????

Absolutely disappointed with the pharmacy service. Called in a refill prescription at 9am. Arrive at the store 7:20pm and was told that they are busy and I will have to wait 45mins. This is not the first time this has happened. If I didn't need my meds I wouldn't be waiting. Hire a better pharmacist staff if this is issue as I have read in many of the other reviews. Do Shopper’s Drug Mart or other pharmacies frequently run out of Rx medications like ibuprofen and common antibiotics? Because these guys do. Delivery is terrible. I’ve bought frozen foods only to find them completely rotten or freezer burned when I open them at home. They sometimes trick you with the sale bins and stock them full of ridiculously-priced frozen food where it looks like they’re on sale. The delivery driver once slammed the door on my dog’s head because she said was scared of dogs—probably the wrong line of work to be in for her. I hate giving bad ratings, but come on.

I went today for shoping with my wife and 2 kids. while I was paying my purchase I asked cashier to use PC optimum card and 20× points on my purchase when I spend 50$ above. cashiers refused to give me deal she told this offer will start tomorrow so come tomorrow I called there asst manager Joe because as per website no date was mention I just want to have clarification on why information is not same on website and flyer. Asst manager told me we don't deal with website I dont maintain website I will go with flyer while i was having this conversation she called security on me and my kids to throw us out from shopping mall for asking clarification on dates that so rude behaviour I didn't argue as security guy was very intimidating on my family I just walked that place. The customer service at the pharmacy needs a complete overhaul. I have had 2 issues this past week. Friday night told 20 minutes, 1 clerk did ask me he could help me, told 10 more minutes. Stood in line up of 6 people waiting to checkout. Only one cashier handling cash and lottery purchases. Other cashier standing at self-checkout to help credit and debit customers, but no one using that checkout. She did not come over to open use another till to help with the lineup of customers. Likely told by management they want to force us to use self-checkout. So we were waiting and waiting as the single cashier struggles to serve us. We can't use self-checkout because it is a cash purchase. Finally I left store and went next door to Rexall to make my purchase. Quick service at checkout there. When a store installs self-checkouts they are not interested in providing convenience. They want to reduce employee wages at the expense of customer service. Avoid those machines like you do the illnesses you usually have to go to the drugstore to treat.

What terrible service at the Pharmacy. Hard to believe after using Shoppers for my prescriptions for 25 years, I moved everything to Walmart Pharmacy. No one answers the phone, Pharmacist rolls his eyes at you, manager could not have cared less that I was having an issue. To top it all off, called the 1 800 #, like the owner told all of the other people to do,and was on hold for over 50 minutes before I packed it in. Good luck to anyone trying to get customer service out of this business. How can it take 24 hours to get Antibiotics from a pharmacy ????

As a former SDM employee from the 80s when Melboracis was the price code I can't believe how so many employees at one place of business can treat me like dirt. The manager of the cosmetic counter at the Gananoque store has got to go. Entirely bad attitude and just over-all bad attitude. Asking a simple question about a moisturizer will get you a scowl and an eye roll followed by the answer of I don't know. You'd think that the manager of cosmetics would know some basic skin care needs. It's not an isolated incident either, unfortunately has happened on multiple occasions. I no longer buy any makeup or skin care from that store. I will order online or shop somewhere else. It's too bad as well because they've got a great selection of both skin care and make up at all different price points.

This pharmacy is brutal. Long waits every time I try and drop off/pick up a prescription and only a few members of the staff are even remotely friendly. They deleted one of my prescriptions, were incapable of calling when my refills were ready for pickup, and couldnt come through on their advertisement that out of province students could recieve extended amounts of their prescription. Attempting to phone the pharmacy with questions/concerns was useless as the line was always busy and no one would pick up. Would highly recommend taking prescriptions to Guardian pharmacy in Victoria Harbour instead.

Aisles are noticably narrower than other Shoppers Drugmart locations which is worstened by all of the pop-up displays and awkwardly placed shelving. Same problem with the checkout/self-checkout area, very tight and uncomfortable. This made my experience much worse as I was carrying an infant in a carseat; it's like an obstacle course. I can't imagine how someone in a wheel or power chair would maneuver through this maze.

Normally I am quite pleased with the service I get in this store but yesterday I was thoroughly disappointed ☹️. I had to pick up a prescription from my cardiologist who had sent it to them on Wednesday. It was ready for pickup yesterday afternoon which was great. I paid for it and stated to the cashiers that I have never used this before, could the pharmacist take a moment to inform me of what I needed to know. She said absolutely and asked the pharmacist to speak with me. After watching him continue to fill 3 more prescriptions and was reminded that I was waiting he continued on. I finally left after waiting for 10 minutes. Done ranting.

Came inside and was met with glares from employees stocking the shelves. Went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription and the pharmacist told me the "prescription had just come in, she didn't have a chance to fill it yet" which I later found out was a lie, they had got the prescription and submitted a claim to my insurance 3 days earlier. (It's fine, you didn't think I'd be in the pick it up. I get it. I don't think you should've lied about it though). They borked filing the claim so the insurance rejected it, and told me that the insurance didn't cover it, I was going to have to pay out of pocket. Whatever, I thought, I'll figure it out, and paid it. Went home to see that they had submitted a second claim (3 days ago, when the original one was rejected) that was still pending. Had to call insurance and untangle their incompetence, and submit my receipt so I would get reimbursed. Everything else was clean and organized and the postal office was ok though, I recommend maybe trying the other location in town, or driving to Kingston if you need to pick up a prescription, not worth the hassle of having to submit claims manually each time because they don't know what they're doing.

Not sure what has happened to this location. We have been with this pharmacy for years but the disorganization has been getting worse every time we need to use them. My husband and I both ordered a refill online. Got notice that my husband's was ready. Went in to pick it up and inquired about mine. Was told it would be 15 - 20 minutes. At the 40 minute mark I inquired again and was told they hadn't even started it yet. I said I would come back later. I wasn't even in my car 5 minutes when they called and told me they don't have my prescription in stock and that it would be at least tomorrow after 5. This is not the fist time this kind of thing has happened.

Highly dangerous for seniors not paying attention or poor eyesight whom dont notice. They don't keep my prescription on hand, so requested I call in 24 hrs in advance. I did that, but when I went to pick it up the next day, they said they didn't have it, hadn't ordered it, and it wouldn't be available until the following day. I needed it now. When I asked what my options were for getting it today, I was told they couldn't help me, there was nothing they could do, and that I just needed to wait until the next day. The lack of care and compassion was blatant. The woman was more interested in telling me it wasn't her fault that the medicine wasn't available than she was in helping me to get it. I called Walmart Pharmacy a few blocks away and they had it on the shelf. Walmart had my perscription transfered and I picked it up 20 min later. But there was nothing Shoppers Drug Mart could do!

Its a complaint about the passport photo which was not taken properly- too much shadow on the face as well as it was not cut properly first time, the lines of cutting are visible and i came back all the way from my home to set it. And then the lady cut the picture diagonal it was not the size i needed. I was so disappointed because i went back to get my refund and the lady said their is nobody who can help me with it. I find this place is just getting worse - we've been given times to pick up our prescriptions yet when we arrive over an hour later we are still being told we have to wait?! What is the point on giving an estimated time period if there's still a wait in store. We also had no acknowledgement for roughly 10min waiting at the drop off counter when there was 3 staff members standing within a foot of us - not even an "I'll be right there."

Reallyyyyyy have a bad time dealing with this place. From not having Rx's for me (type 1 diabetic) and having to wait a day or two (not hard to figure out the monthly requirements for insulin stock seeing how all type 1 diabetic patients need to restock on the same amount each month without fail..) to waiting what I call obscene amounts of time (20-60mins for an already called in Rx. It's even occurred when I called in one day ahead in attempts to avoid that problem) my latest issue was a discrepancy with what I've been charged in the past for my insulin and what they charged me this time. Apparently previous month's charges were overridden at the cash register to a lower price. Not sure why it couldn't be done again. No explanation given. During the discussion I had asked to see my Rx history and it wasn't even listed in their system that I had paid a lesser amount. It's a computerized age so that boggles my mind that a complete breakdown of actual payments can't be tracked. I have more words and more gripes, but I'm unwilling to waste my time..shoppers is responsible for enough of my time wasted. I'm willing to speak to anyone regarding this if they have questions of comments. My name is Leon Chubbs in case you can't see it attached to this post. None of this would be a problem if I didn't have a life threatening disease..but, I do, and I accept nobody's interference regarding my health. Ive had to visit the emergency thanks to actions of shopper's drug Mart in Carbonear, so I consider this "interference" If this saves a type 1 diabetic from experiencing ANY of what I have than this post was indeed worth every second it took from my life. Can't give 0 stars, so it has a 1 out of default :/

Convenient with a wide variety of things and open later than other pharmacies in town! Getting prescriptions here is always super easy and fast. The pharmacy staff are very knowledgeable and kind. I appreciate the connivence of their up to date systems. The store is well stocked although I’d like to see more of the beauty area like in other shoppers drug marts across the province (with more options and variety) - other than that would recommend this location!

Self checkout SHOULD NOT hold priority over the customer at the register. One persin at reguster and 2 in line behind and the lone cashier puts the line on hold to "check out" all the items the self checkout person needed. If your self checkout isn't working or too complicated to use, it should not require the only actual cashier to assist. Not acceptable at all.

Pharmacist Richard Smith 5/5. Assistant told child can't use washroom, Richard went and walked child to washroom. Same Assistant told my girlfriend (international student) that if you don't have health card you can't get the flu shot. Richard showed her how to do it on computer rather then turn us away. One of ONLY two pharmacies that dispense methadone, or one of its derivatives; in a huge area of small town Ontario.. It is a 3 hr & 43 minute drive from me, and if the highway wasn't closed in the other direction my only other choice is over an hour away. Are there closer pharmacies? Definitely. Do they dispense methadone, or any equivalent derivative? No, they do not..

By far the best pharmacy in the area the pharm techs are knowledgable, friendly and genuinely care about you as a person something lacking in many of the other pharmacies in the area. On Top of the pharmacy Shoppers has a great selection of other personal and household needs the prices in many cases are better than the bigger box stores. The ability to customize your client card online is a great feature you pick what sale items your interested in and load those discount coupons onto your card this gives you even more discounts than other stores. In nelson they are open really late 10pm most days so you can grab both off the counter and behind the counter items you might be in need of when other stores are closed

Bought a 75$ gel nail kit, the gel polish was rock hard. Went in to ask about an exchange, got told off (literally to go away) until the virus was over to ask a manager, but was advised that they wouldn't help me either. ?? Ok.. every time I started to ask a question I got interrupted and told off by the makeup counter clerk, Alison. Wouldn't answer any questions I had, just repeatedly told to leave until I gave up. Absolutely disgusting behavior, I understand that everyone is having a rough time but there's no need to treat people so badly. Anyways 0/10 horrible experience.

It's too bad the nurse giving the Booster shot today wasn't as nice to the woman as she was the men. Making it evident we were more of an inconvenience to her, than the elder gentlemen she could flirt with. Thought it was quite Unprofessional. All in all, I find some of the staff, rather snooty. I Will be sticking with Kingston. Friendly staff there.

I was told 15 minutes to wait for my script but it turned into 1 hour and 20 minutes later!! Upon checking the whereabouts of my meds at 15 minutes, all 6 people behind the counter couldn't serve me, was ignored and then told to step aside so another customer could be served! my 'script wasn't ready yet....1 hour later, my unhelpful pharmacists clerk couldn't find my meds and forgot my name. When they finally did get it to me it was more waiting to talk to another person who was standing around talking to one of the other 6 people practically the whole hour l was waiting!! Very disappointing customer service. I shant get any more scripts filled here unless I absolutely have to after hours.

I had called this drug store pharmacy twice to make sure they were administering vaccine shots before going in to get the booster prescription filled. After getting it ready the pharmacists refused to administer the shot. Left and right hands were not in sync with each other. I will likely be finding a new pharmacy after this.

I was looking at hair products for about 10 minutes while 2 staff members stood close by talking, not one offering to help, ask if I was looking for anything, or even say hello when I walked in. One even walked past me in the isle (going against the direction of the arrows marked on the floor). As I was leaving the staff member coming in the exit door pushed through me making me get out of his way. Customer service clearly doesn't exist there!

Had my son's prescription faxed over from his dermatologist yesterday went to go pick it up was told I'd have to come get it first thing in the morning and that it would be ready I got there in the morning prescription not ready and then to find out it wasn't even anything they needed to mix it was just a tube of cream they had to put a label on my son didn't sleep at all from the discomfort in amount of pain he was in because he couldn't get his prescription.

I have been trying for 5 months to have my prescription filled with the proper medication After trying for 3 months I was told it was on backorder the 4th month I was told it was on the next order... Still not available... 5 months I was told I could pick it up on Saturday I went in on the following Monday to pick up said prescription and was told again that it was not available.. It is a commonly prescribed drug ..to say that this is ridiculous would be an understatement.. I have been a Patron of shoppers drug mart throughout the province for 20 plus years but but we'll no longer be using their pharmacy

I always try to give the pharmacy a good deal of time when I need meds but the few times I've asked for same day service I've had the same problem. They tell me that at 11am they are still working on yesterday's orders. Get some more help if you are that busy! And then to tell me they want 24 hour notice on all prescriptions? I have been a customer of this pharmacy forever even before they moved from that other mall. I was just in there on Saturday for some refills and other stuff. Asian male pharmacist was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. They were really busy but he still took the time and great care to listen and answer my questions. I have never had any problems here that don't get resolved when I deal with this pharmacist. I did notice some pharmacy staff changes but really nothing out of the ordinary in terms of service.

WORST PHARMACY EVER!!!!!! What a horrific experience. My 79 year old father went to the Emergency room and they faxed the pharmacy the prescription. When I called the pharmacy they said they did not receive the fax. I called every Shoppers Drug Mart Pharmacy in the Midland area and no one had received the fax. I then called the emergency room to have them fax it again. I called back the pharmacy and they said that they missed it and would fill the prescription. My father in the meantime has to take this medication. They then said they would deliver it as he was unable to drive. The delivery service said that they could not make it that day. My father then somehow managed to drive himself in the state that he was. They said the medication was being delivered and he should not have come. He explained that he was called and told the medication would not be delivered that day. It took them 6 HOURS to figure out that he was correct and had him WAIT the whole time. They could have caused my father his life. So what do I think of this Pharmacy.....lets just simply say that the staff throughout the day was grossly incompetent and for that my father suffered greatly. Unless you want to have an experience like his, I would find a better place to fill your prescription. I encourage the pharmacy to look into it and if the staff is honest then they will know that every word I wrote is true. My parents will never return to this pharmacy, but maybe this will prevent this from happening again to someone else.

Few years ago when pretty much every Pharmacy in Ontario including Almonte, SmithsFalls and Carleton place Shopper's were dispensing methadone to patients. I asked the pharmacist in Perth if they were dispensing methadone now too. The response I was given was " No we don't , we don't want that element of people in our store". Need I say more,....... They do it now of course that's it's a big money maker but treat "that element" or patients with rude, judgemental and complete disrespect. Wouldnt spend my money there if it was the last building standing in Perth. Shame on u....

I dont know what’s wrong with her. Inmensely disappointed and never coming back for sure. It was a highly humiliating experience. I still can feel those negative vibes from her. If there was the ability to give a NEGATIVE score, this pharmacy would get one from me. Having had major back surgery, the hospital in Toronto faxed my prescriptions to the Parry Sound SDM so they would be ready after my drive home. After an agonizing two and a half hour drive we pulled into SDM to pick up my prescription. In less than 5 min, my wife came out of the store empty handed and then proceeded to tell me that the prescription had NOT been received. It is a good thing that my nurse in Toronto gave me a copy of the fax and the confirmation! It is also a good thing I could not get out of the car! The pharmacy staff did not even look to see if the fax had been received, they just told her it was not sent. The EPITOMY of CARELESSNESS! If not for a good nurse I would have been waiting even longer! I ended up getting my pain meds a full hour after I should have due to LAZINESS. The prescription was faxed around 2PM and as of 5:30 the staff had not thought to check their faxes? INEXCUSEABLE and all my business in now moving elsewhere.

The one star is for the Young man at the counter as you walk in, he's always freindy and inviting. This Saturday morning I was in the store and found the cashier in a foul mood looking unkept and dragging herself around sighing with indifference. For the most part it's something I'm use to in this store. Attended the store December 12th at 12:15pm as I do regularly to buy quick grocery items. As a frequent shopper of this SDM location, I am very familiar with the store. As such, when ready to cash out I went to the self-checkout kiosks as there was no one in the line for self-checkouts. I punched in my item and from behind a customer in line for the traditional cashier lanes begun to publicly berate and yell at me for ‘cutting-in-line’; however, there was no one in the self-checkout lines. To not further cause disruption, and to not further be yelled at by a customer I politely said “I was unaware you were all in line for whichever came first” and moved to the end of the line. I confirmed with front-end staff before leaving on the status of the line, and whether there is supposed to be two separate lines, and they confirmed to me self-checkout and traditional cashier lane lines are to be separate. 1/5 stars for the lack of response from store staff whilst this customer made a scene and publicly berating me for something that I did not do, and for no store staff coming to rectify this issue – it is not my job as a customer to educate other customers on how they should be queuing and where.

This shoppers is the worst i have been to. The pharmacist (bigger guy with glasses) is always so rude! They have messed up my birth control twice now.. not sure if these people know what they are talking about. one time they gave me a generic brand and told me it was the exact same but decided to give me this one cause i didn't have coverage at the time. It was not at all the same and completely messed up my cycle. I didn't mind paying the extra for what i wanted they didn't give me that option.. that was last year. Then on Friday i went in for 3 refills and the lady told me my Dr. only gave me a script for 3 packs which was odd cause he always gives me a year supplies worth. So i didn't get the script i needed to start on Sunday. I went to my Dr. first thing Monday morning he showed me the script he gave me (the one shoppers already had) and it said 3 refills... so he gave me a new script and even circled the 3 refills part and laughed like wow... When i told the girl that my pills now got messed up because i was supposed to have 2 more refills and i didn't get them on time she was like well you have this script now right... that wasn't the point i wouldn't have had to get that script and i wouldn't be behind in pills if they did their job correctly. Not to mention when i was standing in line this gentlemen pulls some vitamins off the shelf and asked "are these chewable?" the pharmicist says "well they are gummies so ya!" in a rude tone like the customer was a dummie. Some people cant read completely especially older people or if they are picking it up for someone else they want to make sure its the right thing. No question is a stupid question especially when it is about medication.

Terrible customer service by pharmacist. While at the store today shopping I thought I would ask about getting my second dose of covid vaccine as I’m in week 8 since my first shot. The first clerk was polite and said I should ask the pharmacist, I received my first shot at shoppers in Kingston since that’s where we were living at the time and was told then no problem getting second shot at any shoppers, pharmacist in midland said no with no explanation when I asked again she just repeated the same answer over and over we don’t have any vaccines very rudely. Worst pharmacy in Kenora. Very slow. They magically "haven't received" faxed in prescriptions on 2 occasions, even though the fax was confirmed "received" by the original sender / fax machine. Very frustrating when a person has driven a hour into town to get the prescription. Save yourself a lot of headaches, find another pharmacy.

A go to place for anything from grocery items to pharmaceuticals. The store almost always has a special on. They have good prices on most items they sell but not on everything. They have seasonal items that make them one the places to go in town if your looking for something unique, I know ! it's a drug store... but its true. The script below is only a brief summary... June 16, 2021 (roughly) I received a prescription for Medicine A ... 4 units per day of a gel applied to the skin for absorption. It took a bit of coordination between patient, pharmacy and doctor to get it right - Med A, 4 units per day, 90 day supply. The pharmacy said that I should be using gel pouches, which turned out to be incorrect. Sept 16, 2021 I requested a refill of Medicine A. When I went to pick it up, I received a 14 day supply. When I questioned it, they said that this is what is on the system. I explained the adjustments that were made 3 months earlier .... please check your history. Sure enough, Med A was filled using an old script. Also, they did not have enough supply ... I had to return a couple of days later. Sept 22, 2021 One week after refilling Med A, and after reviewing my blood work, my doctor recommended 8 units of Med A per day. A new prescription was sent to the pharmacy. What I was given the previous week would only last for roughly 45 days, so I called the pharmacy to ask whether I should get more now to cover me for 90 days, or wait until I run out, then refill using the new prescription. They recommended that I wait until I run out. Nov 1, 2021 New request - We filled out forms for early refills of all of our medication....required for the 1st week of December ... we are heading south. I indicated to the front line person my concerns for Med A, dosage, and that it is never sufficiently stocked. She assured me that they have a person handling early refills for vacationers. December 1, 2021 (about a month later) I went to the pharmacy to get a status of our early vacation refills. The front line worker checked and said that we were next on the list. At this point I was just about out of Med A, still from my previous prescription .... I had lowered the dose from 8 to 6 per day while I awaited my refill. December 4, 2021 None of my wifes prescriptions were filled yet. Only 2 of my 3 prescriptions were filled. Med A was not. But what bothered me most was that Med A had a refill date of Dec 22nd. I was never dispensed Med A under the new higher dose prescription. When I called I was told that the vacation early refill person would be in later. When I asked when, she said that she did not know .... it was a volunteer that comes in when she can. December 4, 2021 later that day. I called the pharmacist. He (Richard) said the refill person (Emily) is not in until Monday. I explained my concern with Med A, the bogus refill date, and that I was about out of Med A. He said that he would address it Dec 5th. Keep in mind that up to this point, I tried to call many times for a quick status, but could not get through ..... everyone is just too busy! December 5, 2021 afternoon. I met with Richard ... he was extremely busy, but helpful. I indicated to him that I was now out of Med A. He "refilled" Med A, but there was not enough supply for 90 days. He said that he would order more. December 8, 2021. We are now into week 2 of December, and our vacation refills are still not ready. I was given a 90 day supply of Med A. My vacation request was for 100 days. I guess I will have to stretch out my doses of Med A again until I get home in March. December 9, 2021 My wife went in to check on our vacation early refill prescriptions, and they are still NOT READY. We started this process November 1st!! Only Emily knows what the status is and she's not in...REALLY!! No one else can help? We leave the morning of the 11th. My wife left details of what's outstanding. Later, gotta call from Emily. Everything is ready. Went to pick it up, not ready. Sat and waited for at least an hour... After these prescriptions, we will be going elsewhere. We don't want to, we have to. Most of the workers are nice, but too busy, poor processes, poor checks and balances.

The last few times I have had to get prescription refills it has been a nightmare. I don't know what is happening. When Stephen or Susan are working, things run smoothly, but any other time it's ridiculous. I drop off a prescription and they tell me to come back in an hour and a half, so I do. Then they say it's not ready or they can't find anything on file. They need to get organized, too many new faces all the time at night and they have no organizational skills. Some are very rude as well. Why does the girl who takes your prescription always ask what is it for???

I'm still waiting on an actual decision, but I was given less than my prescribed dose of valium. I rely on it to live, I have chronic seizures and the lack of valium could result in a potentially fatal atonic seizure. Nor will they fax the extra meds to a closer location. They said they would provide me with "emergency meds" if I took a 2 and a half hour drive up there. I do not live in Orillia, I live in Hamilton. It was a one time script transfer as I was on vacation. I have never before been short on meds I am extremely fastidious about dosage. I'm not sure, but my guess would be that they believed this "stupid tourist" wouldn't miss her LIFE SAVING MEDICATION. Rude, unhelpful and negligent staff. NEW EDIT: the owner directed me to a number that was closed. Thanks for the lack of help, it's been awesome. Now I'm in complete withdrawal from my medication and I may have a seizure. UPDATE: Had 3 seizures Sunday night, 2 grande Mal which I've never had, due to withdrawal, and one atonic. My doc finally fixed this mess.

Staff are usually friendly and helpful. Store is rarely crowded. If there is a lineup at the registers, go to the 3 self serve stations. Pick up your prescriptions during slower hours, before 9:30 am and after 7:30 pm? Thanks to ALL the staff who worked during COVID, keeping an essential service open. I have been to the pharmacy here on a few occasions, and the service has been terrible each and every time. The people are grumpy, often confused about simple medication request, and the service has been horrible. Always a long wait. As an update, September 4th, went in to get a simple medication fill, and they told me the wait was 45 minutes to an hour at 4:30 PM . Someone nearby told me I should go to the Pharmasave a few blocks away, and with setting up my file and getting the meds, was in and out in 15 minutes. People there were extremely friendly and helpful.

So disappointed today with shoppers, I've never had a bad experience at this location before. I came in the store just before closing and was told very rudely that they were closing. I asked if I could quickly grab what I was looking for. The item I was looking for was moved, I asked for some help I did get some help but the clerks were a little impatient, I though of one more item I needed and veered to find it until the supervisor made a rude announcement the pay for my items because they were closing. Never ever have I been treated like that anywhere. Your Supervisor needs a little patience when ushering customers out the door. I usually buy all my cosmetics there but from now on I will be shopping elsewhere.

I am a senior and visited your Fort Eire store today. I had 5 items to pick up and tried to get a basket to put them in. I could not separate the baskets as they were jammed together. I then went to get a cart. No problem getting a cart but there was nothing available to use as a disinfectant or wipes to wipe these carts down. I realize these are trying times but you are open to provide necessary services and I would expect as a pharmacy you would better protect your customers. Maybe you should visit Sobies to see how it is done.

Bought a big screen TV from this place in late November as a Christmas gift. It failed after 2 weeks and the store would do nothing to help me. I have two options, throw it out or spend several hundred dollars shipping it to the manufacturer for repairs. Response from Shoppers ‘past 30 days - not our problem’! Should have known better than to buy here since this store generally offers very poor service but the TV seemed to be a good deal. But we live and learn - a sub-standard business selling sub-standard merchandise!

Please be aware the service at this pharmacy is terrible. Run don't walk away ! Whoever is in charge of faxing prescriptions in to the doctors office needs some training. Requested my meds 1 week in advance, pharmacy said they will fax them in. Checked in a week and they said they need to be faxed in ? This was on a Friday morning. Guess it got missed and I will fax it right in I was told. Checked with my doctors office later that day and they hadn't received yet? more calls, waiting, waiting. Drove 1/2hr into town on Sunday, waited in line spoke to the pharmacist (M) and he told me it wasn't scheduled until Monday? But, I could pick up in 1 hour if I needed. So I agreed to return in an hour,,, needless to say still no medication . I was pulled aside by the lady who said she faxed in my request and hadn't received a response as it turned out My doctors office received the fax after hours on the Friday). needless to say i would not recommend this pharmacy it is very poorly managed.

Visit this morning Friday to pick up wife prescription ordered on Monday and fallow up phone to confirm on Wednesday. When as for it was told it wasn't ordered yet "we are very busy and we missed the order , will be ordered today for pickup on Monday." Here I'm taking about continues medication. We are new to the area from Calgary. Today will be my last visit here. We will buy our prescriptions elsewhere. The main reason is my dealing with the front staff lady. Black curly hair and glasses. She was ignorant. I was standing there. She knew I was there. No big deal as I seen she was not doing much. Says I’ll be with you soon. So I turned back and was going to look at some stuff 10 feet away on the shelf. She raise her voice a bit and says no stand here. Then goes on to ask me if I have anything else I need to do. I said no. She said why don’t you go for lunch. This will be a hour. They did not even look really busy. Lots of staff. Then asks why my name on my coat had a M missing in my first name. Wanted an explanation. Overall I found her very displeasing and non accommodating. You are the first point of contact at the pharmacy desk. Be better! Another note my wife had called a few days back to see if we could get a prescription sent to St John’s where I was working. 6 times until she reached someone. In this day and age with all of our retail choices, stores should treat spending customers with kindness and respect. It’s been 2 hours and I’m still bothered. I wanted to share this experience.

Poor customer service in the pharmacy. Some of the pharmacy staff are quite rude over the phone and their new delivery policy makes no sense. When they call to tell you a prescription is ready, they don't even let you confirm you are the person they are looking for. They talk over you as if they are a machine reading a script. If you manage to get them to hear you, they just say "yes, as I was saying", and repeat the script in an annoyed tone. If someone else had answered or if it was a wrong number, they would have had my name, medications, etc. If you do not answer your phone when they call or call back before 4 that same day; even if it is shortly after 4 when you call back, they will not deliver your medication because they are "too busy and have too many other prescriptions to deliver". Instead you must find a way to get it yourself the next day. This is unreasonable for a disabled person without transportation, and chastising customers for it and their inability to pick up is extremely rude. I have been getting my prescriptions at this Shoppers location for almost 20 years and have only been experiencing this type of treatment for a couple of months now. The pharmacy staff used to be friendly and helpful, now they seem to hate their jobs. I guess will be looking to transfer my prescriptions elsewhere.

The GOOD: The self-checkouts are great here. I'm not sure why people are complaining about long lines. Just use the self-checkouts -- they are usually open and you can be outta there in no time. Service at the pharmacy is exceptional when the seasoned staff are working. The NOT SO GOOD: The phones are still horrible. Please, please, please, please, please have someone just answer the phone. Your online and automated refill programs are less than perfect, and people need to have a way to access a live person PROMPTLY. Prompt is NOT: (1) a dropped call; or (2) 25min; or (3) 15min; or (4) 5min. Prompt IS: the phone rings and you pickup in less than 4 rings. More phones than people answering? --> get more people. How about an overflow contact centre for all Shoppers Drug Mart stores (if money is a problem?). Endless loops of useless on-hold messaging that only marketing departments can dream up does not make customers happier. I often see many people working behind the counter. But everyone avoids serving the customers at the cash like the plague. Staff bunched up at the far end chatting away, giggling, and laughing.... ....all the while, customers are lined up, either not being served at all, or being served by one lonely, stressed out cashier. Priorities people? Are you REALLY doing work that needs to be done right away? ...or do you just want to do work that doesn't have to involve interacting with customers face-to-face? I have called it in myself they tell you the time to pick it up and when I get there still have to wait. I worked for shoppers for 24 yrs. and find this just awful. I can’t believe the true disregard for the health and well-being of my loved one who is receiving palliative care. the wait times are outrageous…the customer service is lower then POOR. No medication, always blaming other agencies and doctors, no fax came in, whoever is suppose to be entering stuff into the system there is pretty slow apparently. No compassion is shown to people who are dying and need pain management care. Very willing to hand out methadone treatment with fist pumps from the pharmacist and how’s it going pleasantries …but an elderly person with stage 4 cancer has to wait days for pain management medication. Horrible ???? This isn’t just one time…this is every time experience to get refills of her any of her medication there is always an issue.

We are very disappointed with the staff and poor standards at this pharmacy. We order 3 prescriptions and get one with no updates about the other meds ever. It seems to be run by teens and assistants who care more about socializing than helping their customers. Go somewhere else. First the woman on the phone didn't have time to write down the bottle size I wanted my medications in so they were all wrong. I should have checked before I left the store but of course they were all packaged and there was a line-up behind me. Shoppers are not asking clients or staff to wear masks. It was impossible to social distance. Carts were not being sanitized. I called after a visit a month ago, all the same issues. Now, with people coming up from other areas, the risks for a second round of covid19 increase. The vets office where I take my dog insist humans wear masks. You line up outside the bank, the licensing serves office, clearly marked distancing in both cases I am disappointed that a business that should be setting the standard, where vulnerable people go for med's is not anywhere near up to standard.

I really do not know why I go to Shoppers Drug Mart in Fort Erie, some of the staff there are so rude. I went there today with my daughter to get a prescription . I went with my daughter because she was diagnosed with a mild intellectual disability so she is not very good around people. We were lined up just outside the door and when it got to our turn to go in the lady manning the door was not very nice about the fact two of us were going in. I've never been to Nelson Shoppers Drug mart but I've always gotten good service from their stores in other cities. However this one in Nelson was not a friendly place to go. I had a few items to pay for as I was leaving so I naturally stopped at the tills by the door where I entered. I was about to pay & the attendant asked me if I needed a prescription. I said "no" & that I only needed to pay for the things I had in my hands. He acted offended like I'd disrespected him for even approaching his till. He said with a rude attitude that I needed to pay at the other tills where there was people waiting to help me -- his attitude suggesting it was an offense to bother him for anything but a prescription. Despite his rudeness I thanked him & headed for the "other tills" where there were NO other people. The "other" tills were empty with no other employees in sight & nobody to ask further assistance from except the guy who had just told me to get someone at the other tills attend to me. There were no people lined up for prescriptions, there was only two other customers in the store & they were busy looking for stuff. Finding nobody to assist me at the tills I was sent to -- I put all my items back on the shelves where I got them & quietly left as I did not want to experience any further humiliation. Normally I'd have forgotten the offended pharmacist by now but his rudeness set up an unnecessary situation where my fingers are in pain right now that would not have been a problem were I able to cover them with the band aides I tried to buy -- but was unable to find someone to take my money. I hope this note may help this store to develop a better customer service program. They won't see me or my business again but perhaps they'll be able to teach their staff how to be decent to customers even if they are not there for the big ticket items that day. They will never get to find out just how much stuff I buy. I've lived in this area for slightly less than a month & one visit from me was handled so badly it secured for "Shoppers Drug Mart" a future without any of my business. Well done! It's important for me not to waste a 45 minute drive to Nelson on businesses that are so prosperous they can afford not to care about customers.

I was in a rush and would have appreciated more honesty than that. when it was ready there was no paperwork included that usually explains what the medication is for and side effects etc... neither the pharmacist nor the pharmacy assistant took any bit of time to explain the medication, how often to take it, etc... very disappointing and lacking in customer service.

We need to find somewhere else to get our prescriptions. Shoppers messed up on my meds again. Gave me a three month supply instead of one. It's $167.00. I've asked three times now for only one month at a time. The lady was rude. And then tells me I can wait 20 minutes for them to fix it. I just got the three months and I will switch to another pharmacy

I came in 2 weeks ago and ordered a box of insulin needles. Went in today of course pharmacy didn't order them and they didn't even care that i was upset. I am pulling my prescriptions.

went to see my doctor on a Monday, he unfortunately was on holiday. My high blood pressure pills needed refill. So as usual shoppers drug mart was my go to place. have been a client of theirs for years. In the past when requiring a short refill to get me by until I can see my own doctor, there has been no problem. On this day the young women behind the refill desk wanted nothing to do with assisting me, then projecting her attitude toward the pharmacist, who then promptly rejected my refill, which had run out that day. If they don't want to be in the business of assisting the public they should look for work else where, I have since moved my business and will be recommending others to do the same.
