ONLY IN ACCRA

I brought in my brand new Cartier glasses to get fitted with my prescription lense. I was under the impression that my glasses would be handled with care. A week later I picked up my frames to find the brand new screws stripped and forced. With further inspection I noticed the gaps in between lenses and frames. After spending close to 4k on my frames. The owner Shahid was very apathetic. Not one "sorry". But just like a robot said he could send them back to the factory where they butchered them in the first place! Stay clear from this location! You've been warned.

The customer service here is amazing. Shahid has helped me select 3 amazing frames with top quality lenses. They also have the best prices + the latest eyewear styles. Literally so many options to choose from - and if they don't have it in stock, they can always order in for you. You will not be disappointed. ! :) I've had some rough experiences in the past with other optical stores, and now I will not go anywhere except here!

Be Careful: lack of courtesy and no care for the customer. I was looking for a store that can get me the frame and the prescribed lenses as quick as possible so I can function properly with my vision problem. The owner of this store offered me to get both the frame and the lenses in 6 days, 3 days for shipping the frame and 3 for the lenses. He confirmed this twice and with absolute confidence. There was other stores offering the same price but in two weeks, so I went with him for that very reason. 6 days passed, I called to pick up my glasses, and he replied that the frame is not yet shipped! Which should have taken 3 days! I asked him why is the delay? He said shipment issues due to the pandemic! I was there during the pandemic! The normal question was how long should I wait? He simply replied: “i don’t know”. I asked will it be days, weeks? He said “maybe, I don’t know, it’s not my fault.” I was shocked, if you don’t know, then who knows! I told him I don’t like that and I need the glasses, and he simply replied you can take a refund if you want to. He didn’t even have the courtesy to apologize or even call earlier to tell me that the frame will be late. I was really shocked. I took the refund, went to another store, which will normally take another two weeks. Because of World Eyewear, I will now wait for 3 weeks. Very disappointed. What’s really hilarious is, when you read other reviews, you will see same kind of problem repeated, and the owner’s response is to reply with a Cyber Harassment case!

World Eyewear has been my go to spot for nearly a decade now. The selection is always up to date with current releases and exclusives. The staff have always been amazing. Their customer service is Yorkville quality but not Yorkville snooty. There have been times where I walked in after my optometrist appointment with a new prescription and was greeted with a “hello!” followed by “oh we have the perfect pair for you that just came in!” Of course I would try them on....browse the rest of the selection just to be sure...annnnd conclude that those definitely were *the* one.

Terrible customer service. I came here today to try and repair my Gucci sunglasses. When I showed them to the representative, he just said “they are broken” (which it was downright obvious). He stayed there eyeing me with a condescending look until I had to probe him and ask several times for him to explain why he couldn’t fix them. Very disappointing service for what I expected to be a high-end boutique. Go elsewhere.

I no longer live in Toronto, but World Eyewear is STILL the only boutique I use for sunglasses (they send them to the Bahamas for me with my prescription lenses in the sunglasses) AND the only place I get my contacts. I also send them my cycling glasses and they put my prescription in those too. They take care of everything and ship them out without any issues. Their service is incredible. This is the best boutique ever. Shahid and the entire team are very friendly, knowledgable and professional. They have a great selection of unique sunglasses and eyeglasses. 5 stars for sure.

This is the BEST eyeglass store in Toronto! I LOVE buying glasses, sunglasses and prescriptive sunglasses here as the selection can't be beat. I've recently picked up 2 pairs of Bottega Veneta that are incredible. Previously, I've picked up glasses from Gucci, Masunaga, and Paul Smith. They keep updating their inventory with stellar brands from all over the world. Shahid and Chris are phenomenal at finding the perfect pair of glasses to accentuate your face and fit your needs. Can't praise them enough on their exceptional service. Also, the quality of the lenses are top knot. I have astigmatism in both eyes and I'm always impressed with the clarity of the lenses. Do yourself a favour and go pick up your next pair!

Shahid and Chris are very welcoming and helpful. They also are very patient and know when you just want to shop and try glasses on without the pressure of feeling like you have to buy that day. They have a great selection of sunglasses and will order you a pair if the style you want is not on the shelf. I am about to order a pair of sunglasses from this store because of the amazing experience I've had and I plan to be a longtime customer for future purchases. Both Shahid and Chris give thorough details about the type of lenses, brands etc that are available and are very reasonable with price, considering their location and the luxury brands they carry. I'll post another review when I have the glasses on my face but in the meantime, go shop there--they are fantastic!

Awful experience here, don’t waste your time. Bought an accessory for my glasses from here, they said I can come back with another pair and they’ll adjust the frame. I come back with the other pair, they refuse, won’t even adjust the pair they did service on, claiming it will “void the warranty”.

Fantastic service. They have a great selection of eyewear at all price points. I needed prescription sunglasses and I am very picky about the quality of the lenses as I had bad experiences with other optical retailers. They helped me choose the right frame for my face shape and they use quality lenses providers. They recommended shapes that I would normally not consider and to my surprise they look perfect for me. I love coming here when I get a new prescription! Shahid the owner is the best and he has a really good eye for what looks good. I have been buying my glasses here for years and I have to say I have never been disappointed! his staff Chris and Stephanie are both great and as a team they make you feel very welcome and are all so personable! Every time I go in I am greeted by name with a smile (I get my eyes checked once every two years as normal) they always remember me, they clean my existing glasses and adjust to fit, make friendly conversation and then they make great suggestions. I never feel pushed or bothered and I look forward to my visits every other year! I gave this five stars for quality product and excellent customer service!
