After 8 attempts of havering Walmart try to make my lenses I gave up on them and tried Ali's whitby optical and on his first attempt got it right with better eye sight then I have have in 20 years I can say he costs I bit more but the quality fit and performance of my new glasses were worth every penny. I have already ordered a second pair for my wife. Service and quality worth the price!!! Thanks Ali! One and a half years later I’m still loving this guy Ali. The frame finish was coming off and he replaced them no charge no hassle no problems

I didn't get glasses here, so I can't speak to that service, but I just wanted to share what a positive interaction I had recently. I had an issue with the fit of my favourite pair of glasses. I bought my glasses online, so I didn't have a location to go to to fix the issue. I was there for an appointment at the adjoining optometrist office, so I went into Whitby Optical, told them that I did not buy my glasses at this store, but I would pay them if they could use their heating machine to bend the arms of my glasses for me. They were very friendly and helpful, and fixed this issue for me free of charge. I am very appreciative!

What an outstanding and pleasurable experience I received with both Ali and his father today. My mother broke her glasses and although they were not purchased from Whitby Optical they were able to fix my situation within 1 hour. I no longer live in the area however this did not stop them from providing me over and above service. Since the glasses could not be repaired they were able to affix the lenses within another frame and as I said all within 1 hour. I would definitely recommend Whitby Optical as your choice for eye wear needs.

Digital progressives for a smoother vision experience between closeups and distance, as well as the corner of your eye, tints, and a great selection of frames are my main observations. You can also get your eyes tested there. I love this place and know I can count on them for my eye care. Friendly too!

Like the old saying goes, actions speak much louder than words! Visiting Whitby Optical (Ali Owner) is one of those gems you sometimes are fortunate to find. Let me explain a little bit further, upon my first visit, I was genuinely impressed at Ali's soft-spoken demeanour and his genuine care for people. Moreover, after your first visit to his business it will become abundantly clear that Ali and his staff all want the same thing, for their customers to be happy and satisfied with the products and services they purchase from them. What a wonderful experience I had! Ordered two pairs for myself -- one for the office, the other for shooting sports. This is the only place I know of that do tinted prescription glasses for sports. Was happy enough to follow-up and order a pair for my kid. Not surprising that this place earns the awards year after year. Very friendly and customer-oriented.

We have been going to Ali and his team at Whitby Optical for several years now. He never forgets a face and always extends a warm welcome. We have even switched several family members over to Ali's team. From the second we met Ali we felt like we were in good hands. He is the most patient, generous and kind hearted person. He goes above and beyond to help you out. Periodically, I will call to check on whether my mom and I are do for eye exams, I can never keep track. The staff always take the time to look up our files and let us know when we are due for another exam. The eye exams are always effortless and the staff always make good conversation. When I go for a new pair of glasses, Ali takes the time to help pick out several pairs that he knows I will love. What other optometrist's office takes the time to get to know your taste like that? If we could give more than 5 stars, we would in a heartbeat. There will never be another business run as well as Ali and his team run Whitby Optical.

Wanted to see what was available in my area as my eye doctor glasses were incredibly over priced and Costco selection was not impressive. Did some research and came across Whitby Optical, sow the goggle reviews and thought I would take a chance. From the moment I called and spoke with Cheryl I knew I was making the right choice. I set a time to try on glasses and Cheryl was extremely helpful and nice. The selection was outstanding and I appreciated the time that was spent with me to find the right fit and style. Once I narrowed my choice down I met with Ali also friendly and helpful, who did the measurements and priced out my new glasses. Was very pleased with the price and made the purchased. Picked up my new glasses today and WOW if I could give 6 stars I would. Ali took the time to check to see my glasses fitted properly. He put my glasses in a reusable bag and added a glasses spray and I was happily on my way. I noticed when I got home the bag had eye care instructions on the other side. Very clever and nicely done. Sorry about the lengthy review, just wanted to share my outstanding experience.
