bought glass they would not stand behind what they sell. glass frame falls apart at the bridge. lady behind counter tack it to jeweler or buy new frame. pointed out that it was a manufacture defect and that they could sile back together she did not care

Long time customer for convenience sake, but not any more. A month ago I phoned to ask the date of my son's last eye exam. I was asked for my insurance information, which I did not have readily available. I was then told they could not provide ANY information without it. What??? This makes zero sense, particularly since they use an old fashioned, hand written, manual card system for customers. ....still needing the info., I figured I'd visit in person yesterday. When I arrived, there were 3 employees and 3 customers in the store. I approached the front desk, set my purse down & started digging in my wallet. For 5 mins. I stood there, without aknowledgement. I walked around, looking at the 1/3 empty display cases for several minutes before approaching the front desk again. Once again, I set my purse down and waited patiently. At this point I'd been there for over ten minutes, being completely ignored by the staff. Even one of the customers looked at me a few times, rolling their eyes in sympathy for how I was being treated. I then left, still without acknowledgement. I've already found a new eye dr. and am thrilled with the personable, knowledgable customer service I've received.

This might be a good place if you don’t need to know the pricing. No more affordable frames at all. Every frame needs to be brought to the counter to have them look up the price. Prices are triple what they were at Advance Vision. When questioned about why they don’t post prices, their brilliant comeback is “no one else complained”. Seriously? Shame on them. Who shops in any store with no pricing? Of the 6 frames we brought up to find pricing, 5 were over $240 and the 6th they couldn’t even provide a price. Took almost 5 min for each pair of frames they had to look up. This is horrible customer service. When asked how much the total price would be for the lenses + frames etc, they didn’t know. They literally couldn’t figure it out and when one of the people told the other they could provide the price, they were exasperated at the thought of having to enter the info into the computer to get to this information. Between the rudeness and total incompetence of at least one of the 3 staff, the outrageously inefficient process of “shopping” for glasses, and the expensive designer frames, there are many reasons to shop around. There are so many places where shopping for glasses isn’t a chore, and where prices aren’t 2-3 times what you’d expect. I’ve been going there for years as Advanced Vision. Disappointing how things have changed with the new company Normandy Optical.

I always go to the same optical place, but since I always drive by advance and it is close I wanted to give it a shot. I called to try to make an appointment and at that moment I decided this was not the place for me, I don't know if it was just because it was early in the morning but the customer service was horrible she didn't want to help me get an appointment it was like she was too busy to help. Would not recommend this place to any one I know.

Was a great visit.Doctors are friendly,the ladies (receptionist), could take a few notes in customer service, but overall it was alright. Over a year ago....So see what if anything changed in my next visit!!

The New Baltimore location is a joke. The staff is incompetent. I had to have my glasses remade several times and they still can't get it right. I went back to my long-time eye doctor and his prescription confirms that Normandy's is wrong. And now Normandy won't fix them or refund my money. I'm trying to track down the owner, which I believe to be Thomas Koehler. If I can't reach him, I will be suing Normandy Optical. I paid $500 out-of-pocket and I can't afford to just go buy another pair of glasses. I only went there because they participated with my insurance. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Literally stopped going before I even started. Placed two calls to them today. I felt the person was very short with me to the point of rude. Then she mentioned I could give her my social security number despite having my insurance number— ummm NO! During the second call I was treated equally rude, I happened to have the phone on speaker and my co worker heard the entire conversation. She mentioned how rude the person was. If that is how you treat me on the phone, you won’t get my business!

the thing that bothers me the most is when I go in there they act as if i am a huge inconvenience for them all I needed was to order new frames. Was not mean or rude at all just said hi I would like to order new frames I got dirty looks and eye rolls the lady be hind the desk said one of the girls at the desk could help me the one got up and ran to the other room the other one word for word said "ugh I guess I'll take you " I was so uncomfortable after that. Not to mention she had a huge attitude the whole time. Now it's been three weeks no call no text no frames. Worst experience getting my frames. .just want my frames and then you will never see me in there again.

I was there a little over a year ago. While getting fitted for my new glasses I told them that my vision was still blurry. They tried to tell me that it was the no line bifocal & that I needed to get used to them. I told them that I had been wearing no line bifocals for years. I asked them to check the prescription & was told they were correct. I then asked them to readjust them on my ears because my ears are different heights & it affects how they fit. Come to find out I have cataracts that are so bad that my vision was 20/70 WITH glasses. Either the Optometrist is incompetent or they don't want you to know you have cataracts because then you won't need to buy glasses from them. SHAME ON YOU! I have been dealing with blurry vision for over a year because they never told me that I needed to see an Ophthalmologist for my cataracts.

This place is great. Although small in size great service and doctor awesome. Doctor took his time. He was engaging and explained things and answered all my questions. They don't have huge selection of frames loke some place but had no issue finding nice frames. Ladies help pick frames for me as I can't see well with out glasses. Venrry happy with selection this time and loved my last pair by Vera Bradley received lots of compliments.
