They did not give me a copy of my prescription either. I called today to see if I could get it. Margaret very rudely informed me that I could only pick up or she’ll send via snail mail. I asked if she could email it to me and she blurted out that she doesn’t email. I asked to speak with the manager whom she said was not available. I then asked to speak to someone else. She continues her rudeness and stated there’s no ones else that can help me with my issue. I asked her why she was being so rude and she hung up on. I called back and asked her did she hang up and she stated yes. She didn’t like the way I was speaking to her. I not once cursed nor raised my voice. So she basically doesn’t like to be asked about her rude unprofessional behavior. I will go pick up my prescriptions that should have been given to me in the first place after my appointments but that will be the last time. Update~ Lisa sent me my prescription via email the very next morning. She’s very nice. I will be going back after all. Thank you Lisa!

Horrible service! I called two days in a row to to cancel my appointment nobody answer. So when I try to reschedule my appointment, the lady said we can reschedule no show appointment! But she clearly said when I called we must been busy! She’s admitted it’s their fault but she can’t reschedule my appointment! And she had The nerve to be rude! I went there fairly recently and I asked about places where I can get your glasses repaired and she told me they will repair them for FREE! only thing that would cost would be if you managed to break off the nose pieces that come on some of the glasses but that's only five bucks . I was really excited.

I’ve been going to Jerold optical since I was a kid never had any bad experiences. Now that they got these New owner it seems like they can’t get anything right. I had a appointment on August 4th I called them two weeks later in at 1st they couldn’t find my order or prescription. Then I call back the next day they tell me my glasses are still at the lab call back next week. I call back now it’s they had to send my glasses back to the lab because they put the wrong prescription in my glasses. It is now the 30th of August in I still have no glasses. When I really can’t see and I need my glasses. But want me to pay $80 for some contacts. They should be waiving that fee in giving me free contacts

Jerold Optical’s customer service and commitment to the customer experience is incredible. My son attends college in Cleveland accidentally broke his glasses, and the team at Jerold fit him in immediately for a repair, got him in and out quickly, and back to school. Thanks so much!

Under new management and service is absolutely terrible. I will definitely be going somewhere else from now on. I was also disappointed to see that Margaret is no longer with the company and I was told that she left by choice which is a major red flag for me. I’ve been coming here since I was a child and Margaret has always been here so I know something isn’t right

Attempted to call both phone numbers on their website. Both force you to VM without ever being able to speak to a person. I go to the store and am told they don't take my insurance even though the carrier had just advised me they were in network. Called the insurance company back and they assured me a contract was in place to purchase glasses there. Very poor service at Jarold. Oh well...went to their competitor and had GREAT service and no problems processing insurance. I would think that Jarold would have at least called the insurance company but they quickly said no from two employees and so I was on my way to never go back.

I work downtown and my Optometrist is across town in Willoughby. I ran over to Jerold Optical because the right stem of my glasses snapped. I was frantic. I met with Michael who was able to work quickly and diligently to find a new frame for me! They actually look exactly like if not better than my other frame. Thank you Michael for your professionalism, amazing customer service and patience. This place is a true gem!

I have went to this place,since, I was a teen. They do not like to give you your prescription when finish, you literally have to fight to get it and they make up every excuse to not give it...., smh.also, I was told once, they do not make color lens in make prescription, that was a lie as well. (To continue, to get you to buy a certain lens and from them. )Please know that, there are companies that make specialized lens in any prescription but it will run you a few hundred dollars. However, they will be exact to your eyes, look completely naturals, no matter what color you choose and they are good for one year. They may can even last longer, if they are properly taken care of . Outside of that, it’s okay. But I am big on customer service. This company does not seem to be honest at times.

As someone who has worn glasses since the age of 3, I've never had a better experience than from my friends at Jerold Optical. From Angelique to Wayne - and everyone in-between... I felt like I was VIP with a customized and private experience. Due to COVID19, they make sure you book appointments in advance with a private appointment so you can freely walk around to look through their catalog of glasses and try on their floor-models! Truly a unique experience! Beginning with a bottle of water, I believe Angelique let me try on nearly 25 pairs - could be more - or less; but she was so helpful. Not only did she offer input; she also took photos of me wearing the prospective glasses from my smart phone so I could see how I looked wearing them! It made me truly confident in my search and process. Additionally, they were able to retrofit new lenses into a few of my older (gently used) frames so I could have multiple pairs of my current prescription; but saving $$$$ from having to buy multiple complete pairs. Hats (or glasses) off to Jerold Optical for a Job Well Done! Here is one of the pairs I got from them! Luckily, my Dad doesn't need to wear glasses.
