Horrible experience. After numerous attempts at being pressured into buying store brand glasses, I finally found 2 pairs that I liked in another section of the store, which I'm assuming had less mark up profit for them. I ended up getting one pair of sunglasses and one pair of normal glasses. My spouse ended up picking them up for me when they were ready and when I tried them on at home both pairs had issues. The sunglasses had a small crack in the lense and the glasses had unbuffed swirls in the glass that caused a halo effect with lights at night. When I brought them back in to have them looked at a week later, I was told that I had dropped the glasses and when I said there was no way dropping them could cause the defect, I was told "you just want to return them because you don't like the frames"...HUH?!?! I'm not saying anything was wrong with the frames, the glass in both has defects. I ended up leaving before I did something I regretted, swearing to never return again. The worst part is, after wearing the sunglasses for a couple months, the coating on the metal frames have started to peel and crack, leaving them looking like garbage. I can't say anything bad about the pair of glasses since I'm unable to wear them driving at night due to the halo effect, so they're in the same perfect defect state that I bought them in. I share my horror story with everyone I meet, and a lot of the times I get Hakim horror stories back. Horrible frames that fall apart and horrible customer service. Save yourself the hassle and headache and go somewhere else. ANYWHERE ELSE. You'll thank me later.

The staff are amazing. When I first ordered my glasses back in January, I needed them quickly for an event I was attending. The nice woman working at the store put a rush on them and had them there the day before. 7 months later, I break my frameless glasses and once again the staff came to the rescue by setting me up to either get new glasses or the pieces replaced — all under warranty!!! If you're in need of new glasses, I highly recommend using Hakim in St. Thomas.

I cannot say enough about the customer service both Shauna and AJ have given to both myself and my husband! They offer an honest answer when asking their opinion when trying on frames. I had an issue with a delay in shipping of glasses. They went above and beyond to ensure the glasses were correct. Do not hesitate to put your trust in these folks!

Be aware they do not have warranty on lenses!!!! I came back in three days later with a small small scratch and they did nothing. I was not told when I walked in to get lenses that there be no warranty if there are scratches.. other places like Walmart offeres 2 year. Warranty on lenses for scratches. I told her I was not happy I was not informed of this information and I would not recommend this place to anyone and she said oh well to each their own and hung up the phone!!! To round it up they are very rude and they do not give you all the information like on warranty!!! Be aware !!!

“Wonderful experience at the St Thomas location on Talbot. My mother who lives at Valleyview nursing home had broken her new glasses by sitting on them. She was quite upset. Although I had not purchased the glasses at Hakim, I went there hoping they would look at them and see if they could fix them or recommend another place in town. They were kind enough to look at them and fix them in a very short time, free of charge. They were courteous, understanding, and friendly. I will buy her next pair of glasses at Hakim. Highly recommended. Thanks again!

Glasses are more expensive than other places. Poor customer service. Don't always have staff onsite that can make adjustments to glasses. Won't ever buy from them again. Once and done.

Bought two pairs of glass, and they both broke. The first pair was for work and the guards kept breaking off. They fixed them twice. The second pair, the lens fell out. I only use those glasses for driving at night so I rarely use them. Then, I went to clean the lens, and it’s gone. They said they could order a new lens, which I would have to pay for. I don’t see why I would put another lens in garbage frames, to lose them again? That makes no sense. The lens is the most expensive part.

If I could give it zero stars I would. The appointment was for 10 and the optometrist only arrived at 10. We watched him for like 30min unpacking like he was moving in otherwise he was friendly. The lady at the counter was nice but the fellow working in the back was not friendly. The frames are all bad qauilty for the price. The total price was no where near what the signs claim just fyi. The frames broke after 7 months.. We went to use the one time no questions asked warrently and they said they replaced them but it was clearly visable they were the same ones from discoloration and diffrent color screws. Ya all and all I don't plan going to this place again.

They do not honor warrants on their frames they are cheap frames I dropped mine on a carpeted floor very soft they broke 3rd time they broke will not replace them would recommend no one goes there $850 dollars and have no glasses to wear
