I needed good quality reading glasses. The staff at the Greiche and Staff store in the Dorval Gardens shopping store were a delight to work with: Rita Elias, the store manager; Dr. Tara Mahvelati - optometrist and their colleague Ann; were all so patient and helpful. I walked into the store without an appointment and they were able to do the entire eye exam, issue the prescription, and place the order with the manufacturer within an hour. I would recommend Grieche & Scaff - Dorval without hesitation. We are lucky to have such a fine eyewear store close by in our community.

Went again today for a follow up appointment, Dr. tara is great! And the staff were very nice :) I had to get myself new glasses and everyone helped me choose the frame that fits me the best. Terrible service. Incompetent staff, do not understand the process to make glasses. Everyone one who works there says everything is " not my fault." Produced a faulty pair of glasses for me, I had to tell them the steps to take to correct it. Had to make multiple visits to the store. One employee,sales rep. is so lazy and disinterested in her job she should not be working at an optometrist, I doubt that even Dollarama would hire her.

We recently came here for our general eye exam, It's located in the mini shopping mall of Dorval, beautiful set up very clean and welcoming looks very nice as you walk in and professional. Reviews were not that great but we decided to give them a try as my husband went there 5 years ago and he recommended greiche n scaff to me so we booked the appointment and they were surprisingly super pleasant over the phone. The time came for our appointment and all of the ladies were super nice and so was our optometrist. They are real professionals and they really care about recommendations and treat you well. They take extra care as to disinfect their machines after each customer so you feel safe putting your face in each eye machine exam. Price is standard like everywhere else it was 95$ for contact eye exam and regular glasses exam was 85$ We did not purchase the glasses from here as they were overpriced over 300+ $ and yes I agree it was way too expensive but they did not push us and let us decide to buy it or not. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with our great service and definitely recommend this place !

Price for eye exam was cheaper than some other places, but customer service was not great. I asked that they give me the pupillary distance, but they refused. The lady at the counter said they measured it, but would not give it to me so I can't order my glasses online and am forced to buy at the store. Next time will pay a few bucks more, but go with a professional who can give me my full prescription so I can order from clearly.ca, where the glasses with lenses cost at least 200$ less than in the store.

I have recently moved to Dorval and decided to go for my 2 year eye exam at the Greiche and Scaff store in Les jardins Dorval mall and I have no regrets: thorough eye exam, good advice for frame/lenses, good price deal with all options very well explained. Very friendly, patient, and professional personnel (they also fixed one of my pairs of glasses bought from another store). I am waiting for my new glasses now and I hope they will be as good as my experience in the store.

It's more than 6 years that my family is buying sunglassess and medical glasses from Greiche & Scarff Dorval. They have a great selection of glasses, sunglasses etc and pricing is very competitive. Went in with a broken pair of glasses panicking cause I need my vision, Rita I believe the manager who is a amazing lady had gotten me into a eye exam right away and did everything she could to get me into a new pair ASAP! I went last Wednesday to book my eye exam in the morning and got my exam in the afternoon in Dorval Mall. The receptionist who handle me was not friendly at all. During my pre exam she was rude and I was feeling uncomfortable. Dr. Faltes was great, friendly and accommodating.

Terrible service. They don't help you to choose the best glasses for you and it looks that it's because they don't have a clue what they are doing. I had to go several times to get my glasses comfortable without getting it. They only accepted to change them because I told them (thanks to another optic where I went for help). My Lenses make my eyes burn when I read and the doctor`s solution was wearing my glasses extremely close to my eyes... really??Is that a solution?? Terrible terrible experience. Don't go there... glasses may be cheaper but service will kill you.

Having just come the Lachine hospital eye clinic where all eye exams were performed, they insisted we pay for another test prior to obtaining eyeglass prescription...all they are interested is your credit card !! We went to OPSIS instead...night and day difference in professionalism. Avoid this location.

I purchased prescription glasses and at the delivery they were not adjusted to fit my face. I went back for an adjustment, the sales person, not only was rude, asking me if I really bought the glasses at the store, but also did a terrible job. She didn't check the fit on my face, she got the glasses, went inside to adjust and then gave them back to me. She bended outwards the hinges, inwards the bridge, a total mess. Now my glasses are tilted and uncomfortable to use. I expected a better service after spending $560 at the store. Terrible service.

Last week myself and my mother-in-law had an appointment for an eye exam at the GS in Dorval, our appointment was with Dr. Mahmlati, it was a pleasure, she was very pleasant, professional and thorough, she also has a great sense of humour! ???? When it came time to pick a pair of frames (which can be a difficult decision to make) we were greatful to have Anh and Rita help us, they spent time with us, trying on numerous frames (what a selection!!) they were also showing us frames that we would not necessarily have tried on if we were on our own...sometimes you just have to trust the professionals....we ended up with 2 pair (1 each) of fantastic frames that suited our face shape, etc...and are very comfortable to wear. They delivered great service, they were so pleasant and friendly, which made our experience a very good one. I would not hesitate to recommend this location to friends and family. I would like to add, the entire time we were in the store, we felt safe, it is apparent that this store is following the COVID-19 guidelines. ????????

My experience from start to finish was incredibly pleasant. The ladies at the front were very helpful, polite and well informed on all the items i inquired about. The optometrist was the most professional i have ever met! She was friendly and so meticulous ! As a women, it is always nice to have a women doctor, especially during something as intimate and close as an eye exam. They helped me choose the right contacts, showed me how to put them in and gave me some products to try out. Anyways thanks so much, i will be coming here for all my eye needs!

Since my last review, I learned changes at the store that lead to a far better review. My past review gave 5 to clinic and 2 for sales. Now, I give 4 to 5 stars to both. My past review was very negative about the sales division, but problematic individuals have left this office. Note that if you look at negative reviews below, you would find that all of them are from at least 2018 or 2019 and before. The current staff are pleasant and helpful, remarkable improvement!

I was served by Rita and Laial, they where very knowledgeable. Giving excellent advise and information. Also helping with style to suite me and making sure the fit was perfect. The store was clean and they followed Covid 19 rules which was comforting. I would highly recommend the Dorval location.

Service is OK but the store would never write prescription for eyeglasses even if you buy one from it. I thought I could legally get one. Well I agree that the store would hesitate to give prescription if the client wouldn't buy glasses from it. But I have found an optical store that can write prescription for me.

Staff told me they couldn't make an eye appt. for more than 2 people from the same family back to back. I have a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids under 6) that we need to have eye exams for. Not the first time we have had bad experience with service hear. Will never purchase from Greiche & Staff again.

La commande est passée. Pour s'assurer que j'aurai mes lunettes a temps, au plus tard le 1er décembre, Rita a du joindre son superviseur qui était en réunion, afin d'avoir la certitude que je serai satisfait. Tout s'est passe devant moi. Après avoir pris toutes les assurances, Rita m'a dit, Joseph, je te promets de faire un suivi régulier pour que tes lunettes arrivent avant ton voyage. Aujourd'hui, 26 NOVEMBRE, j'ai reçu mes lunettes, moins de 10 jours après la commande, et longtemps avant mon voyage. Je suis un homme heureux. Je n'ai pas de mots pour remercier Rita. Do not go there no one says hi how r u even if u say hi how r u on the phone they say hi what do need ? 3 different locations dorval, Carrefour Laval and Fairview it was a test to see if I buy my glasses from them and I am headed elsewhere . please don't let these people fool you they lost me as a loyal customer of 15 years and don't care at all . Went for a follow-up eye exam and left the store with 2 sets of glasses - a smooth process all the way through. Excellent service from all of the staff and great pricing. I have used the cheaper priced outlets in the past but will not go back - too many gaps in services and no way to reach them. Bonus: other staff helped "vote" on the best frames for me and made this errand fun! Would definitely recommend.

This is my 2nd time at this location. 1st time was just over 2yrs ago. I found Rita to be the rudest person I have ever met 2yrs ago and went back last week thinking that she would no longer there but, there she was and she has not changed a bit. Every question in regards to the costs of lens etc was met with a snuff and a roll of the eyes. Walked out never to return. The Dr was excellent thou.
