Well I guess I should expand on my experience. I had an item I had to return. Now full disclosure is that I bought the item at a Canadian tire in another town. But after 30 min of downright confusion and watching several employees go through the same steps over and over and not be able to return the item. I was given the final option of take it back to the store I bought it from. It was due to the computer not wanting to take the item back into inventory or some such thing. So they offered me a gift card for the exchange but after this experience I would rather my cash back (as I had the proper receipt) the main reason being I didn't and to have to be beholden to spending my money there since my experience was so poor. I was forced to leave as I had a child that needed to get to sports. So you will be relieved that you have a second chance to make it right since I still have the item. On a side note I have never had an exchange or return go without some sort of drama at this store.

One of the worst place to get your car service. Even though i have pre booked appointment week ago for winter tire and waited more than hour on day of the appointment (after i handed over the keys) they are letting me that they don’t have Parts for service. What a waste of time, not even courtesy to let me prior at least. What is point to book appointment?!! Never coming back to Canadian Tire.

I will never visit car service section until they kick out that lady manager . She is so rude in her talking . I made an appointment for 1 pm on Friday a week ago to switch my tire to winter tire when I reach there she canceled my appointment says need to come next Tuesday. So what I do with my tires she replied Tuesday Tuesday Tuesday and her voice is getting harder and harder . Why you keeping these kind of employees to loose your business. This is my first review post . I made it only because everyone should know about it .

Great place to shop. Canadian tire is an amazing department store. I would rather have a Canadian tire than a Wal-Mart. Everything is organized well. Always friendly staff to help you find those one off things that aren't on the aisle postings. Only downfall are sale days. Better be first in line as there are usually only 1 or 2 of the big ticket sale items.

I walked out after getting to the lineup for the checkout. 5pm on Tuesday, 10-20 customers in line, and only one cashier. Lots of other customers shaking their heads in disbelief at the poor staffing levels. I wouldn't be writing this if it was the first time, but it happens at this store far too often.

Selection of sporting goods was really not all that great. Went to go get my daughter a pair of roller blades and they didn't have any, only one pair of boys. It's a week before summer and there was more options for I've skates than roller blades. Maybe I got there on a bad week, haven't had that kind of issue when shopping for tools or auto things.

Don't bother with curbside pickup unless you pack a lunch and take a sleeping bag. Now you have to go into the store, they won't bring your order out to you. Lots of people milling around and shouting into walkie-talkies, but not doing much else. We're giving up on this store.

I was however disappointed that they do not give you the option to register for your wedding at this store yet you can in the windsor location and they will give you the items at this store. Quite frustrating.

Canadian tire is a good store to buy a lot of stuff, but this location in particular, the customer service representative was extremely rude and condescending when I refused to provide my drivers license to be copied via photo copier while making a return. I have returned a long list of items over the last few years, and I purchase a whole lot more. Not once has a return seemed this sketchy, and unprofessional. Edit: customer experience at Canadian Tire has degraded so far I'm not a customer any longer

While I have been shopping at Canadian Tire for some time, I thought that their Noma lights where a good quality light. I was sorely mistaken it seems. I purchased ten to fifteen strands of their lights this year and had trouble with at least 75% of them. Exchanged some of the stands for new ones only to be left with the same intermittent issues (flickering / very dim / refuse to come on). If you plan on shopping here, I suggest you stay away from any of their brands, and stick to others that seem to value quality more.

Took 7 days for them to process my curb-side pick up order only to find out they cancelled everything on it except for one thing. Wallaceburg store just cancelled my order all together. I honestly hope this is one of the companies to go under as their customer service was already abysmal and even more so during the pandemic. Edit: Let's add to this, their website doesn't allow reviewing products unless you disable your adblocker so that they can feed you ads while you spend money on their website. I sincerely hope Amazon wipes you out, you pompous douche bags.

Decided to place an order online for the first time with Canadian Tire in Chatham. Online stated they had 2 left in stock. I ordered one. My bank charged me for one. Then I received the standard 'thanks for shopping with us' email that tells me to wait until I receive an email that tells me my item is ready for pick up. No big deal, I can do that. The next day I receive a call from someone from Canadian Tire here in Chatham that informs me they were unable to locate the product in their store inventory, but that they were able to successfully locate it at their Wallaceburg store. I was told I could cancel my order, or they could have it delivered to their store from the Wallaceburg store, but that it wouldn't arrive today, and that I would have to wait until tomorrow morning before I would be able to pick it up. Seeing as I had already paid for the item, and made arrangements for it in the house, I agreed to wait until the following day to pick it up. Then I noticed my bank charged me another fee. It turns out they cancelled my order prior to calling me, then realized when I still wanted it, processed the order again. Okay, whatever. I still want what I ordered, despite now having additional service charges with my banking for their mistake. And despite the fact that I now have to make other pick-up arrangements as this is now 2-days after the (same day) original pick up time. I finally receive an email that states "Your order is ready for pick up" but it's still day 2, so I call the Chatham store to see if my order arrived early and is ready for pick up, and am informed that they had to process it that way early, because it technically was 'picked up' from the Wallaceburg store, and is on the way to their store, but that it isn't really 'ready for pick up' yet and that it won't be ready for pick up until tomorrow. Okay, that makes little sense to me, but seeing as earlier's call did state I wouldn't be able to pick it up until the following day, I can live with this. Finally, the following day arrives. I walk the hour and 48 minutes to the Canadian Tire store to meet my ride there and pick up my order... It's 4 in the afternoon, the day's almost over.... And yet... I am told that my order isn't there. That they don't know why I was told it would be there yet, because they don't even do pick ups from Wallaceburg on the weekends, they do them on Mondays (and a few other days during the week), and that my order won't be available until TOMORROW... So this is the THIRD TIME I'm hearing the words "Will be ready for pick up tomorrow"... You told me that Saturday. You told me that Sunday. And now you are telling me this Monday. I'm beginning to think paying for shipping would have been worth it, rather then having to deal with store-pick up.... Needless to say, I won't EVER be buying online again from canadiantire.ca and I will be sharing my experience with anyone who so much as mentions their idea to order from the site in the near future... At this point, I won't be surprised if it's not there tomorrow either...

I explained my situation, advising we were over 1 hr away from home and we needed the bulb changed as we had a test in 1.5 hrs. They fit us in right away. Best customer service ever. The store is normally clean, friendly but the Auto department completely different. Things happen....had an oil change on my car. Appears they didn't seal the cap tight...and we had leaking. I went back and was met by a young lady who appears she would rather not be there....stated they were really busy but could take a look at it another day. Made an appointment. Showed up for our appointment. If this was to let go we could have an expensive repair. The appointment was 45 minutes late, no apologies. Upon review, yes the cap wasn't torqued right. The mechanic was quick to announce yes, that was the problem, they have fixed and (guess what, how kind) they weren't going to charge us for it. Really, our driveway is stained, I had you take time from work and generously, you will not charge me, how kind. I wasn't expecting a freebie as the technician made it sound, just correct the mistake. Won't be back, won't promote, just can't suggest poor service and attitude to others.

NEVER get your vehicle serviced here! They put my brakes on backwards. I was without a vehicle for 2 more days to fix this. One day at the dealer for diagnostics and to another Canadian Tire to fix the issue. I called to get some of my labor cost back due to the inconvenience and safety issue and the Service Manager Lyn said, “I spoke with Mazda and it was not a FATAL safety issue”.

The worst Canadian tire I have ever been to. There were no employees to be found and some of the employees I did manage to find were incompetent and had the worst attitude ever. To get something down from a shelf I asked two people and they said they had to get someone from that department when the ladder was literally two feet from them so I did it myself. The attitude of the employees was unacceptable, I asked for a price check and that turned into an ordeal so I just left it. Lately every time I go to Canadian Tire for service there is always a problem with my car afterwards. One such problem I had to return probably 10 times before it was finally rectified. Now I was there today for a different problem and when I drove away my car was making a knocking noise. I'm pretty fed up with them. Hopefully they rectify this next time I'm in.

At this Canadian Tire store, the employees seem nice, except for this older woman at the "Customer Service" desk. If you return something and she's the one serving you, oh boy get ready for the 3rd degree. I bought a lot of things there one day, all on the same bill, and had to return 1 item. I just bought it the week before, I had my receipt, I didn't even use the item, it was still brand new, including the box, in completely re-sellable condition, it was just the wrong model. She was rude and asked me again and again what's wrong with it, why are you returning it? I already told her. She asked again and again. Like as if she owns the place. If you're going to be a paid worker of a store that has a specific return policy and the customer is absolutely 100% adhering to the policy, then just do your job. I planned on buying the right model that I needed and other things after the return but she was so rude that I ended up just leaving after the return was completed. So due to this terribly trained employee, they lost the business of this customer, and I wonder how many more. As I was leaving, a woman came up to me and told me that the same employee was very rude to her husband one day when he was shopping there. We both wondered why they keep such a miserable, unprofessional employee employed there.

I went in to the Garage for a break inspection. I was told my rear breaks were shot and I needed new break pads and roters asap. Then I was told that the front break pads have a little substance left but should be changed soon as well. I took my car to Midas for a second opinion and was informed that my roters are FINE and I do not need my rear break pads changed until summer 2019. My front breaks do not need to be changed for at least another year. Canadian Tire tried to charge me approximately 1400 dollars for servicing and made it sound urgent in an attempt to get me to agree to the services. Absolutely ridiculous and I will not be bringing my vehicle here for servicing again.

Why is it I dread going to Canadian Tire? Because I know it's going to be a frustrating experience, sure enough I was not disappointed today when I went to buy a shed. Although there were a lot of staff wandering around in their red shirts, none of them making eye contact in case you ask them something. They had 1 cashier with a line up of 8 people. Our shed came out way before we finally got to pay for it.......if there was another store with the same sale and availability I would have gone there, but no luck for me. Always enjoy watching staff wander around until you need help then you have to hunt them down to be redirected to someone else cause they don't know anything about what you're asking. Always an experience that I don't enjoy.

Boy do I ever like shopping at Canadian Tire Wallaceburg. If you are looking for good deals this is the place to go. If a sale comes on and by chance they don't have it in stock. They can have it over nighted from their Chatham store or other store. With that said they have a whole group of wonderful employees. If you can't find what you are looking for, just ask an employee. I shop at the Chatham store often and usually have a good experience. Someone is always available for directions or information. However one thing I would like to suggest is that the store would get rid of those computer tablets in the windshield wiper/oil filter section and bring back the old reliable books. Those tablets are super slow and will often display an error message. It's a good idea but unfortunately it hasn't been supported with reliable equipment. As a result I usually have to go to the parts counter to have an employee look up the correct parts for me on their computer.

When I need something to complete household tasks (and in reality, an excuse to ESCAPE from those said tasks) I like to visit Canadian Tire. I have been to many Canadian Tires across this fine province and this location is right up there. I like to walk the aisles looking at all of the nifty stuff, and if I require help, I can usually find a store associate for assistance. During lockdown I made several large item purchases and everything went smoothly. But it is so much better to actually be back IN the store!
