Been going to this LensCrafters for 10 years. They no longer do same day and I had to wait 14 days to get them. Then when I went to pick them up the associate who was making the adjustments to my glasses very rudely asked “who sold you these? They are way to big for your face”. Don't waste your time or insurance getting an eye exam here. They just do a quick 3 minute eye exam and write a prescription. Dr. Ahmed didn't do a thorough exam, dilute my pupils, or run even half the tests my optometrist in Toronto did each year. Such a disappointment since now I have to go to a better optometrist and have a real eye exam done. I asked the Dr about the other tests and he said "they aren't needed". Such a money grab.

Bought 2 pairs of prescription glasses for over $800, 1 progressive and 1 prescription sunglasses, paying extra fro anti glare and anti scratch. After 1 year the anti glare was coming off, could not see clearly, almost like looking through a haze. I went in, they could do nothing, warranty over. Obviously defective anti glare, I have had glasses all my life this is the first time ever that anti glare had come off just over a year. I am now wearing the glasses I bought 4 years ago from Costco, still anti glare is in good shape. I will never buy from Lens Crafters again! Costco also offers 2 years on anti glare.

I bought a 300$ pair of Oakley Sunglasses at the end of August, a month later I went to the store because a branch was very loose, Lisa Who pretends to be the manager, looked at my glasses and acknowledge there was a defect in them. Lisa told me She was going to call me back the following week but she never did so I called back 10 days later only to be told to wait another week that she would call me back and yes she never did. We are 40 days into this issue and she can only give me reasons why she can’t help me To fix my glasses. They won’t reimburse me, won’t fix them but will exchange them with the same glasses but in a different colour lol!!! do not shop there, good at the cash but simple crooks after your $$$ with ZERO HELP AFTER SALES, YOU ARE ON YOURE OWN! Simply look at the other reviews they all agree to say they have no customer service. LensesCrafters was my first time and last time!

I discovered this place by sheer accident. I broke my glasses frame and went to this store even though I didn't purchase them at this location. The service was super fast and they went above and beyond not only to fix them but also readjusted them for me and gave me some tips to make them more comfortable with my mask. I was extremely pleased with them and had the time to choose a new pair of glass with the variety they offer. Everything was amazing, I highly recommend it!

Please save your self the hassle and do not get your eyes checked or purchase any items from here they rip you off and the staff are very rude. I was refused help from the store manager today due to the fact my lens were unsafe??? I bought a large frame prescription sunglasses here a few months ago and every time I wear them, I feel a special kind of hate for this place. There are numerous blurry spots in my sight of vision. Their reason is that every large frame has this issue (should have told me that before I purchased them). Their solution is that I move my head instead of my eyes to look around. They offered me an exchange to a smaller frame which was nice but I didn’t like the smaller frames. So no refunds (granted it was over a month and the refund warranty expired). Not sure if this counts as an excuse but I mentioned the blurry spots to them as soon as I wore them for the first time but I was told that it will need getting use to. Unfortunately, I wore them once and didn’t wear them until after a month. $350 and glasses full of blurry spots. (Note that these blurry spots are not corner blurry spots (which are normal).

I only have good words to say about this location. I went stand up paddle boarding the night before and lost my glasses in the water. I have quite a strong strong prescription so needless to say the situation was pretty urgent as I do not have contacts or backup glasses. They were able to fit me in at the last minute to see an eye doctor. They had my prescription in stock and my glasses were ready in 30 minutes. Everyone was so nice and helpful... I just couldn't be more grateful!

I went for my eye test October 2020, then to Lenscrafters to pick out my frames and purchase glasses. The service I got here was horrible. I understand that we were in the middle of a pandemic, but that shouldn't stop me from getting service. I picked out a pair of frames, they didn't have them and they couldn't order them in, yet they were on the display. They didn't even help me find a pair that was similar or that would satiate me. I have only ever had glasses from this location and since that beautiful manager, I think her name was Diana left, it's not a nice place. I went right across to Vogue Optical, told them the frames that I wanted that Lenscrafters couldn't get for me...they ordered and I bought. Won't ever go to Lenscrafters again.

Pros: Friendly and professional staff along with a generous return policy. Cons: Despite selling high-end glasses, LensCrafters stocks and sells Chinese imports as opposed to proper Italian imports. The prices are way too high and it's standard practice to sell used frames/display frames over new frames. After I instructed the store to order new frames -- to not use display frames -- they did the opposite and actually sold me a set of old display frames, frames which hundreds of people had tried on, and charged me over $500. Needless to say, these were returned after discovering that they were made in China and recycled from the store shelf. $500 for used/display frames is totally unacceptable. Customer beware: LensCrafters is part of the Luxottica monopoly, along with Pearle Vision, Sunglass Hut and others. Furthermore, almost all of the brands they stock they also own or license. This includes Ray-Ban, Brooks Brothers, Oakley, Burberry, Prada, Chanel, Versace and others. As mentioned above, LensCrafters in particular relies mainly on cheap Chinese imports over authentic Italian frames to support their margins and returns policy. Imagine paying $400 for Oliver Peoples glasses only to find out they were mass-produced in some third-rate Chinese factory! It's also the store's standard practice to sell customers used/display frames.

after getting an appointment for à follow up (I was told it would be free when given the appointment) they wanted to charge me again (the excuse was it was a different optometrist) and of course the took my médicare card upon arrival. which means they are getting paid by the government even if I left without the follow up for my eye. Lesson learned

This was my second experience at this location. My first time in 2016 was meh because the person I dealt with was absolutely miserable and quite rude when I came in to pay. So I was actually a little apprehensive about coming back but I'm glad that I did. I'm not sure who it was that helped me but she was great! She was having to help multiple customers but I never felt ignored at all and the frames that I ended up getting were ones that she suggested. I never would have even considered them but she had me try them and they were better than my own choices. She also was able to fix my old pair of glasses. Originally I had only come in to get my old lenses switched out and left ordering a whole new pair altogether. Im very happy with my experience today

Absolutely terrible customer service just upon trying to enter the store. They have no clue how they are even managing people coming into the store now with Covid. The conversation I had with the girl at the entrance was both painful and confusing. First she tells me if I'm serious about buying, I can come in. I said I want to buy but need to see if I like anything first. Then she says the staff hadn't had their lunch yet so I will have to come back at a later time. Then another girl stands up and says I need to book an appointment so we can socially distance....the store only had 2 customers and they were both sitting down getting fitted (no one was looking at glasses) and then one got up to pay and leave. Then I ask what time later I could come back, and the girl just looked so confused and made it seem like I had to make an appointment for a whole other day. Needless to say, I ended up leaving and not making an appointment. My husband and I have bought so many glasses from there, but that was by far the weirdest experience ever. Definitely will not be going back. Ended up going to Optical Palace down the hall from them to buy a pair. Amazing customer service there in comparison.

Buyer beware: you're not in good hands at Lens Crafters' Fairview branch. After spending $500 on a new pair of glasses to use for distance and on the road, I came home to discover that the technicians had scratched my everyday glasses -- a perfectly good set of lenses that I use to read and on the computer. I called about the gouge they'd left behind after checking the original prescription and "cleaning" the lenses, and I was told I'd need to speak to a manager who wasn't available. Upon returning to the store, we were informed the manager was on vacation, and it would be a few days before they could decide on a solution for the glasses they'd damaged. After a week, I was told they would replace the lenses with a different pair for free, or I could pay $225 to get the exact same prescription and type remade -- even though they'd acknowledged that they'd wrecked them. After already having given these guys five hundred bucks for a new pair, I wasn't about to pay for them to fix the old pair they'd effectively ruined. I took the free option, after being told that it lacked the features the original had, and that the antiglare "hardly made a difference at all" and that they'd be fine. Guess what? They're not. I can't see a thing out of them because all I can see are the reflections made by my own irises. This place is a scam. Go to Greiche & Scaff instead. Honestly, go literally anyplace else, and don't entrust your existing lenses to these idiots because they're out to extort as much as they can from unsuspecting, unwitting customers who've offered entirely too much confidence in their service and professionalism.

This is the type of place to get glasses from the staff is very friendly and they gave me the exact type of frames I was hoping for then the man said if we have the frames in stock then you will get them in half an hour and if we don't it will be 10 days so the lady went and checked she said they don't have it so 3 people went and checked for them sure enough they did and I was able to get a fresh new glasses in less then 1 hour and 31 minutes this is the best place ever no waiting

Spent over $1000 on glasses. Had a defect on 1 arm, went back to have them fix it a 2nd time only to have them say I have no insurance. The 1st time they did it but after a year they refuse to repair the exact same defect. I am about 4 days over a year. Insurance on glasses! !!!! How about backing your products. Too many eye wear stores. They saved on a nickel and now lost a dollar. P.S. Rude staff too.

It was a breezy Friday afternoon, with a slight overcast; partly sunny, I think they call it. I had just begun my 12 day vacation, or as some would call it "stay-cation", on account of the COVID-19. We decided to make our way over to LensCrafters today, as with the long weekend approaching, the mall as a whole might be too busy for our liking. With a coffee in hand, we made our way over and waited in line to be greeted at the entrance. The gentleman who greeted us had went by the name of "Seth"; he would be the one to help us throughout our visit. Seth was able to book me an eye exam last minute on that same day with the optometrist before purchasing my cool new lenses. Had he not suggested and looked to see if anything was available, I'd be walking out with an outdated prescription! When it came time to picking out glasses, he gave us time while we hummed n' hawed before choosing a sleek new pair of specs, and some cool sunglasses as well. Seth was very knowledgeable and helpful with the different products and additions to my glasses. He had taken the time to show us the different tints that came with the set of sunglasses we were interested in. Although they did not come labeled, Seth took his time to help determine which lense tint was which, ensuring that we were choosing the right colour. Hitchell was our optician who was also very friendly and helpful in getting our glasses prepared. Our experience at LensCrafters today was pleasant and made easy, thanks to the team at this location. Make no mistake, we ended up being there for, like, two hours, but it went by fast as the staff there was so friendly and sociable.

I have been to this location three times in less than 2 months. And I will not be returning. The first go around. The eye doctor next to Lens Crafters. Made my new prescription too strong. So I went back and they did the prescription over again ( I didn't enjoy my experience at the eye doctor next door either.) So after a month of having a second prescription. My glasses were scratch beyond belief. Never had this problem with any glasses I have ever owned. In nearly 20 years of owning glasses. My third go at it and am suffering from slight headaches. Its my own fault for not going to my original eye doctor. Who was next to Lens crafters at one time. But has moved at some point. I will be returning to him now. Unfortunately I have spent more money than I originally wanted to. And am NOT a happy customer.

He was so kind and helped with every question I had. I want to start off on a positive note that I had a great experience at this location when I had Sue whom is very good at picking out the best Frames for my face even with my mask on and it works very well looking at myself and everybody compliments me with these frames. She was also very good at not recommending things to make a big buck for herself, but recommended things that would help me in my particular situation, and didn’t dupe me to have the highest priced progressives that I could get just by her trying to make a good sale. I am very happy with all of her recommendations, and for the very little amount of time that I did spend with a gentleman there that fit me in these glasses I thought the customer service was amazing. These are the reasons I gave the extra star, but I wish I could’ve given another one just the fact is this next part made me lower it considerably. Now I understand that the glasses come with the brand of cloth in it, and I must say that Coach has the worst cloth ever! I am not new to glasses, and inquired on what has changed since 2013 when I had LASIK as these ones smudge bad and nothing makes them clear unless I’m home over a sink with soap. Lens cleaner smears the smudges and the useless wipe it came with smudges it too. I don’t have a kitchen sink in my car to constantly clean them while working, or an adequate cloth. I asked the lady if there’s anywhere online that I could purchase good cloths that I can have with me and all she could say is to use Dawn dish soap, I had her also say that it’s because I got a glare protection on there and that generally smudges, I won’t disagree with that but that I’ve had on every glasses in the past and never had this issue with smudges not coming off with even the basic microfibre cloth. I express that I feel like I was ripped off for these $500 plus glasses, without any options given to me to help with the situation so I can actually wear them. Now I do love the fact that the right type of glasses were given to me, but somebody there needs to step up to the game and help me figure out what I need to do so I can see clearly, when especially I got progressives when I don’t have any distance issues so I could be able to not touch them when I’m caring for people during this pandemic. I want to use you again due to the first two amazing employees, but I need somebody to rectify this issue.

Yelena was very patient and extremely helpful. I was returning a pair of glasses that unfortunately had a glare that I couldn't put up with. I came in very nervous and anxious. My son was there with me which added to my nervousness but Yelena was very kind with him as well which put me at ease. She explained all my options very clearly, we tried several different solutions but ultimately with my son there I began to feel like I should just cut my loses and ask for a refund. Yelena was able to negotiate with her supervisor on my behalf and in the end I was able to get the glasses which I wanted at no extra cost. I was about to leave frustrated and discouraged but because of Yelena and her supervisor I left feeling taken care of and excited for my new glasses. They were able to book be an appointment same day, and they had an optometrist next door so I could get a more recent/accurate prescription. Hitchell helped me find perfect glasses, which were super close to my old model (I wanted the exact same glasses but they were out of stock everywhere in Canada). She pointed me towards a very similar pair that was 50% off in the designer sale section. Carolyn was also super friendly and explained the warranty program to me in depth and really well. I have never left a negative google review before. The service in Lens crafters in Fairview shopping mall was so bad I have ended up leaving my first negative review. Briefly, I was sold some blue filter type of lenses (I did not want) for my 6-year-old son; I was told that the cost was covered by the RAMQ. Total cost $306. I get home and google the RAMQ eyeglasses and contact lenses for children. In black and white, the website states it covers a max of $250. In addition, the website states Blue light blocking glasses are not covered. With this information, I quickly called the store and asked them to make the glasses but without the blue filter and I will get a refund when I collect. The woman on the phone was very rude and said it is only $40 why change the order. On collection day (10 later, no idea why it took so long), they refused to refund the cost of the blue filter. On the bill, the manager had written that the blue filter is covered by the RAMQ so the lenses without the blue filter was the same price. I do not like to be lied too. Do yourself a favor take your business elsewhere?

I am writing a 2 because it depends what you get, some staff just lies to you and other are great. The last person who measured for the centre of my eyes did not get it right, but the person before got it 100% 2 years earlier. The first one was fantastic, the glasses fit perfect. 2 months later I went back and I had part of the Ray-Ban sticker on the lens and the clerk said no, I was disappointed and starting shopping. The I saw the fellow who served me and asked, he said no problem, he took my glasses cleaned then put on a new sticker then made sure my frame was a 100% fit and re-adjusted it at no charge, wow 10 stars, the other three I would say 1 or 2

I recently purchased glasses here and their systems were down for some reason which was fine. I was assured by the sales associate that they would email me a receipt once they were able to charge my card as they could not go through my benefits and I would have to submit this myself due to their systems being down. This was fine and I asked the sales associate to clarify, that I would indeed get the receipt via email and would not be an issue and I could call and they would send if any errors. I was very hesitant as I paid over $450.00 on my credit card and did not receive a physical receipt. Keeping in mind I have full coverage and I would be reimbursed within a month. A week later they notify me the glasses will not be ready for at least a month or longer ! Because of their systems but they were somehow able to charge my credit card... another week later I still do not have a receipt to make my claim through benefits... i call their store while I am away on vacation and am now notified THEY CANNOT send me a receipt via email and I will have to return to the store in which I made the purchase or they can mail it to me. Of course I agree for them to mail it as I am away and unable to go there. This has been the most frustrating experience and I still do not have my glasses and am unable to make a claim to be reimbursed. Not to mention how expensive they are... PLEASE be more transparent with your customers as some people DO NOT have a spare $500 to throw around and wait weeks or months for a receipt in order to get reimbursed by their benefits.

I went in a year ago for eye exam paid 70.00 +tax, ordered glasses and gave a deposit. It took me a long time to go get my glasses so they sent them back, which I understand. What I don't understand is in all that time I never received one call from anyone there to remind me, or to tell me my glasses would be sent back. I told them that and I was called a liar! They proceeded to tell me they always call in these cases, they never called, not once! So I lost my deposit! Was treated horribly by staff, having them roll their eyes as though I was crazy, no apologies from any of them. Don't go there!!!! One star is one too many.

I found out today from another optometrist, that Lenscrafters used the same prescription for both lenses when in fact both eyes are different prescriptions. This was our first time buying experience of prescription eye glasses in Canada and she really gave us lot of time to understand each and everything in detail, moreover helped to choose the right frame in terms of the our budget. Please READ AND BEWARE!!! almost 2 months down the line after purchase...... I returned the glasses on 23-Nov-2021 to the store, because they were uncomfortable and not same as when I tried them on initially. I was told that since this purchased via a debit card, I would get a check/cheque in mail for the refund amount. Its been almost 1 and a half month that I haven't received any refund. when I call customer service, they say contact the store. Initially when contacted the store, they say contact customer service. Finally I spoke with the manager of the store Chris and he said he would definitely enquire and get back to me on my cell phone. I haven't heard back from since past 20 days. This might a small amount for you but for us it is our hard earned money ($499). First, this is completely absurd and unrealistic that a refund against debit transaction is done via a check/cheque? Please give a valid reason. Elsewhere all the debit refunds are immediately credited back to the user account. Secondly, this is pathetic that I choose lenscrafters to get our glasses done. We completely regret visiting lenscrafters store/online. This is highly unprofessional from your side that you keep customers money and never return them. You might be utilizing in your rotations and accumulating free interest on it. TRIED REACHING EVERYONE BUT NO RESPONSE!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! If you ever have an issue with your glasses after purchase they will not assist. I have been a customer with them for over 23 years and had an eye appointment the next week and was intending to purchase my future glasses there as always. I ended up with peeling of the anti glare covering right in my line of vision and requested that they assist until I get my new prescription the following week. I have never heard no or that it had to be at my own costs so many times despite the thousands of dollars I have spent here. They DO NOT value maintaining customers and once you walk out the door after handing over your money, don't think you can ever go back for help because the answer is NO!

I had to call LensCrafters for an emergency eye appointment because my glasses were damaged beyond repair on a holiday. The store and doctor that had my prescription did not pick up the phone when I tried to call them the next day. And of course during this pandemic I wasn't sure I would get an appointment right away, but LensCrafters picked up and fit me in right after I was finished work. I was able to get a prescription filled and purchase a pair of glasses. Sue even gave me a discount on both pairs, the ones with all the bells and whistles and my lenses in an hour. I now can see when I do my job until my good ones come. Everyone there were very helpful and kind. I also felt very safe entering the store during this pandemic.

I bought 3 glasses for a hefty amount at this store. They never bothered telling me that the treatment on my expansive progressive lenses was botched and never offered to replace these lenses. Silly me - never realized why this lenses take forever to clean...When a specialist told me (after more than 2 years of wearing this glasses) what happened - they refuse to own up and compensate/replace the lenses. If being royally screwed over is your thing - this is your store. Otherwise - stay away!!! I see that LensCrafters added a BS answer. I spoke with the people at the store, spoke with the manager - they are not willing to do one thing. Stay clear from this store. Heard this from other people once I told my story.

Extraordinary service! We have been coming to this location for about 3 years now and have never been disappointed with the staff. Today’s visit we were very pleased to see that there now is an even greater selection of brands available. (Tom Ford, Gucci, Prada). My Daughter left very happy. The technician tuned up her current Ray Ban glasses. We were able to get her new Tom Ford glasses in one hour. The technician took the time not only to carefully fit the new pair but also to educate us about caring for the new frames. The team at this location takes care of us from A-Z. The manager remembered us from last year. They truly provide an elevated level of customer service at this location.

Last week, on Black Friday, I was there and decided to change my glasses as they were offering 40% disccount on lens. I was surprised to see that the total cost was much more than my wife paid in October for her glasses with more expensive frame and no disccount at all. The guy was trying to explain that is normal, as they are offering discount now and I should consider myself lucky.... Seriuos guys? This is the way you are doing business? Shame on you...

The staff at this LensCrafters location gives above and beyond to accommodate the customer. I went in to pickup my workstation glasses and ended up buying a full pair, with the distance correction, to wear everyday. They worked to find me the best deal on these as they were out of pocket for me. Thank you younto the gentleman that served me that day and the day I ordered my first pair. Great customer service!

Sharing for my father. He purchased the extended warranty and had to use it this past week, after having his glasses fall off and tractor run them over. He was impressed on how good the quality of the glasses were as the damage should have been a lot worse. Glasses are being replaced under warranty as promised and staff was excellent to deal with. The best service I had during buying prescription lens and sunglasses, with a very reasonable price. Hitchel as the optician is very kind, supportive and helpful. I bring also my 3.5 x magnification dental lens for cleaning and her professional advice is very efficient. I highly recommend lenscrafters, ask for Hitchel and feel safe and protected.

LensCrafters is amazing! My first experience was at Masonville Mall and I was so impressed with the service. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and my son’s glasses were ready in 2 hours! The 50% off sale was icing on the cake. I recently had another experience with LensCrafters, this time the Guelph location. My son lost his glasses and since he is going to school in Guelph it was more convenient for him to pick up there. I called LensCrafters on a Friday evening to order a replacement and again the staff were very helpful and he got a call that same night to say his glasses were ready. Again they had a great price and the service was impeccable. This will be the only place I buy glasses in the future. Highly recommend!

As a first time prescription sunglasses owner I would like to thank Lisa and Moulham for their outstanding service today. From the moment I walked into the store and until I left I felt welcomed and understood. I was able to purchase my sunglasses under my budget and get them customized on the spot. To be honest I was really scared to come to the mall with covid and with my social anxiety makes it super tough. Thank you to the gentlemen and the two ladies for making me feel safe and not feel like I was troubling them with all the frames I tried on. I’m super picky and that didn’t even faze them like at all. Thank you guys for helping me , I cannot wait to get my glasses … I will definitely tell my friends and family about this location. Staff in nice but service was EXTREMELY slow. When choosing glasses it took over two hours in the store. When picking up the glasses, I had to wait an hour just to get sizing started. I would be fine to wait IF they would let you leave the store, gave appts or gave you a text when they are ready to help you. Instead they tell you if you leave, you’re out of the line. You have to pace around the small store until they’re ready for you because there are no waiting seats. What a waste of an afternoon :( This place needs more staff. When paying $500+ you expect a lot better service.

First of all, after wasting 2 hours there selecting my frames and lenses, they told me to pay cash since the one who doing the claims is not there yet, after a week got an email that my glasses are ready, went there and informed me that the email was sent by mistake, and they gonna call me once it's done, yesterday got another email that my glasses are again done, trying to call them no one response.

Second LensCrafters I went, but the service was slightly better. The glasses I got was of very poor quality. Firstly, they gave me a broken case (right size for the frame), I returned it and they gave me a "new" one. The case was slightly damaged and it was a lot bigger. I went back again and asked if they could give me the right size and they claimed they were all big. I explained the first case I had was the right size, but the second one was too big. They refused. Secondly, the frame I had was missing some paint and it looked used. They re-ordered and when I went to pick them up, the employees didn't know what I was talking about because the manager didn't leave a note or talked to his colleagues. I noticed, one of the temple of the frame was extremely loose and I asked if the employee could adjust both equally and he said you can always go to another store and they will adjust it to you for free. It was not a pleasant experience, I do not recommend LensCrafters.

I had a great experience at this LensCrafters location yesterday with Samia, one of their sales associates. Samia was professional and courteous and was able to assist me with replacing the scratched lenses on my glasses, for which I had purchased the extended lens protection the year before. She was informative and made sure that I understood the steps that would take place (she would order the lenses, I'd receive a call when they became available, and I could come in and have the lenses replaced at that time --- no need to leave my glasses behind at the store for several days). Samia delivered a personal touch and was pleasant to talk to about the humid weather and the store's recent renovations. She remembered talking to me on the phone the day before, which was nice. Top notch customer service! I have been a LensCrafters Limeridge customer for years and it's experiences like this one that keep me coming back. Well done!

Re; Lenscrafter Store - Kingston 922, sales person Suhua 534280 - VERY competent, VERY efficient. I went in for a new pair of glasses with a new prescription. I wanted everything the same as the current pair -- same frames, same type of lenses, same types of addons (glare, scratch resistant, etc) same 1` year add on insurance. The requested frames were not in the store but she 'found' them somewhere, copied the new prescription from my last order that had all the measurements and I was out of the store in no time. No hesitation -- just processed the order in a very competent manner as I instructed. (Note - I have yet to receive the glasses as it will take 10 days to 2 weeks)

For my previous pair I had to start wearing progressives and wear my glasses all the time. I was not optimistic they would work out, but the staff was excellent in getting the right type of lenses for me and after 2 years I couldn’t imagine anything else. When my prescription recently changed I had a hard time finding another comfortable frame. After returning 2 pairs, the staff went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with my frames. I have been purchasing glasses from them for years and will continue to do so.
