The sale's rep, Karlee was amazingly patient with me going back and forth between similar pairs (I'm super indecisive). I actually ended up falling in love with the first pair she had recommended to me to try the "Ashton Windsor" which I just ordered online today! Super impressed with the service, and I can't wait to receive my new glasses:)

Excellent experience at OQ On 17Ave SW. Terrific service from both Candace and Davin. Gentle Hannah (a lovely Golden Retriever) greeted us on our initial visit. Optometrist Dr. Anita Tsu (?sp) was thorough and professional. Check out the fair pricing on the Ollie Quinn website. I have single vision (low index) and the price for frames and lenses w/ scratch protection and no-glare was $155 - ❤️ my matte Benjamin frames (London Weather). This is the place for you if you want a good selection of up to date frames, enjoy no-pressure assistance in a nice location and do not care to pay for designer branding or weird shiny ‘bling’. We were told to expect up to 2 weeks for our glasses and were delighted when they were ready 2 days later.

Recent surgery had the unfortunate side effect of significantly changing my vision only 2 months after I bought my first pair of OQ prescription sunglasses. OQ gave me another eye exam free of charge and replaced the lenses of my favourite sunglasses for a very low cost. Thanks OQ!

Hip frames at a reasonable price, plus the location on 17th is convienent when doing other shopping or out for food or a drink. There is an optometrist on site who is not there everyday but you can call and make an appointment with not a lot of wait time. Got new frames and lenses with the blue light filter for around $200. All the staff was friendly and helpful- there were also cute kittens at the store that they were raising. Def recommend!

The manager kindly helped me find a frame that would work well with my prescription strength and I felt very comfortable asking questions. I can't express how much I love Ollie and Quinn. The quality of their glasses is astounding, I have had my pair of the Juniper frame for the past 3 years now and I wear it everyday while hiking, commuting to school/work, working out, literally anything and everything and my glasses are STILL as good as new. The prices are very reasonable and can't be beat for the amazing quality, the staff and customer service is amazing as well. They had a dog and cat at their boutique when I purchased my glasses which added to my pleasant experience :)!! I am extremely satisfied and always recommend these folks to everyone I know!!

Did you know most glasses companies are owned by one multinational monopoly that controls the prices of frames and keeps them artificially high? Well, you don't have that problem at Ollie and Quinn. This company is one of the few remaining independent purveyors of lenses and frames. Don't bow like sheeple to your corporate overlords. Buy frames that are priced reasonably and aren't created by a soulless corporation with little care for the consumer. I'm am typing this while looking through my new Ollie and Quinn lenses and I couldn't be happier. I mean, technically, I could be happier but that has more to do with the desire for a much overdue vacation and less to do with my new glasses. Anyway, give these guys a look!

I came into the store with my mom looking to purchase some glasses and we walked in and weren’t even acknowledged by the sales associate. Granted she was helping someone at the moment but to not even offer a Hello or even that you noticed someone coming into the store is no way to make a sale. We stayed in the store for 10-15 minutes looking at glasses and trying glasses on and the entire time no acknowledgement what so ever. Not even a “I’ll be right with you” so we ended up leaving and I have since purchased glasses else where.

Just had a fantastic experience at this brand-new Boutique store on 17th Avenue. Picked up some sweet new shades for the summer and was totally Blown Away but it's cool little shop! The staff and there was super friendly and helped we pick out a new pair of frames. I thought it was totally cool that they can adjust them to better fit your face. Needed a new pair of sunglasses and was tired of paying a fortune. Spent some time researching places to get good quality affordable frames that was an actual store. I like to try stuff on so didn’t want online. Came across Ollie Quinn. I checked out their online selection before making the trip into the store. Candace was so helpful in helping me pick out frames that suited my face and didn’t rest on my cheeks. I liked how sturdy the frames felt and absolutely loved the price!! $245 for prescription sunglasses all in? I could hardly believe it, the only thing better was the quality of the frames after I received them. I will definitely be back for my next set of frames.

Ollie Quinn on 17th ave is a great store! The staff there are very helpful and friendly. I’ve been there multiple times with my family but recently decided to pick up a pair of sunglasses for myself and love them! Their prices are very good considering that I’ve spent near $1000 on a single pair of eyeglasses from LensCrafters. I will for sure recommend to others.

I have struggled with glasses my whole life. I always get an insane headache across the back of my head. Anytime I’ve gone to where I’ve previously purchased them, I’ve had the arms adjusted and finally told there’s nothing they can do. Ollie Quinn took the time to do a second exam and make sure the prescription was right, looked at my previous glasses and then made sure all adjustments were perfect before I left. Now I love my glasses. Will only be going here in the future.

6 months ago I wrote a 5 star review with extended compliments. Now, 6 months later I have to say that yes, frame quality, service, and price are all excellent. But, of all the glasses I’ve ever had in my life, these lenses are by far the most difficult to clean, and keep clean. Don’t think that you’re going to hahh on them and wipe them with a clean hanky. No way. You’ll just smear and smudge. You’ll need proper cleaning fluid, lens tissue for the mopping, and a VERY clean lens cloth to do the finish work. Frankly, there’s something about the coating that’s on them which is a real pain in the butt. Nuff said.

I had a wonderful shopping experience at Ollie Quinn in Calgary. I have been really disappointed by the post shopping customer service. I bought two pairs of prescription glasses-vision and sunglasses. I was told I would have them in 7-10 business days. My vision glasses arrived in that time frame. I called on day 10 and was told maybe the next day. I called last Friday and was told by the store clerk he would look into it and get back to me. I missed his call, and he did not even leave me a voicemail, which I find highly unprofessional. I called back to find out that my glasses might be in today ( day 15). When I questioned the timeline, I was curtly told it was only a few more days. I then sent an email to express my displeasure and to look for a way to focus on my happy experience. This email has not been answered. To say the least, I am very frustrated, and all the joy has gone out of my new glasses. Today, i had a wonderful conversation that cl;eared up what was taking so long. There was a willingness to work with me to find a suitable time to pick up my new frames. Thanks for the positive call!

I had my eyes checked here back in December with the intention of returning for new glasses at a later point. The optometrist was friendly and very thorough, I'll definitely be going back to see her. As for the glasses, they are amazing quality and very affordable. I went in to try on a pair of normal gray frames and instead ended up with some oversized clear frames that really fit my personality. I've already recommended OQ to some family friends who were also incredibly pleased with their purchases. Love it there!

Had previously purchased a pair of sunglasses from Ollie Quinn in Edmonton. Sadly our store closed so I had stop in at one of the two stores in Calgary. I had done some pre+shopping online so I had narrowed my choices down before my visit. The two women working were very helpful and knowledgeable. My single-vision glasses ($195 all in) were shipped to my home in Edmonton 9 days later. If you’re tired of spending a fortune on eyewear, this is the place you should go.

I ordered my glasses and asked them to ship it to another city, they happily did. There was a misunderstanding and the glasses were in package limbo for a bit. But the Ollie Quinn staff was kind and easy to work with. They were able to figure out the situation and quickly get the glasses strait to me as soon as they could. They paid all the extra shipping fees. They did this so that the price that I paid would be consistent and I payed nothing more. Incredible store and wonderfully co-operative staff!

Some fun glasses but this particular store (Calgary one) utterly lacks even in most basic customer service. For one thing, people working here are not capable (or is it willing?) to contact you when your glasses are in. Furthermore, their attitudes are more suited for working in Ikea (where you would expect this kinda utter complacency). This company needs to more carefully reconsider who they choose to represent them through customer service. Based on my interactions with these people, I'm from now on purchasing my glasses elsewhere as well as suggest my friends and colleagues do the same.

I had my eyes checked by Dr. Anita Tieu as I lost my glasses at work and she was very professional. The online booking system is also convenient. Because I didn't have a backup pair, Ollie Quinn ordered my glasses rushed and I got them in less than a week. I'm very satisfied with the results and the price was also very reasonable - $220 for frames and lens, including blue light filter. They also helped me with my insurance claim on the spot. Everybody was very friendly and I highly recommend this place :)

I’ve been here for my eyes exam because my eyes have been feeling dry abit recently. I came here and I met Dr Anita Tieu, she did her job amazingly, she’s friendly and has given me some very good information to know . She’s helpful and professional. I love this place because it made me feel so enjoyable to come, I thought don’t come here for eyes exam because it was looked very cute place and relaxed. She also gave me the eye drop med and use vitamin to make my eyes not drying. She explained to me carefully..... I love this place ....

The glasses are all out in the open and are mostly the same price (I think they are all the same "OQ" brand) so it makes it easy to try them on and make a decision. The staff were nice but not pushy and my glasses were ready after just over a week. That being said the glasses are not the best and you do get what you pay for. I was very happy with my glasses but have had to take them back to replace the arm's bolts.

They rush ordered a pair for me when mine broke, they adjust them whenever you would like, tons of selection and very low reasonable price. This is a great concept store offering interesting frames and lenses for a very reasonable rate. I have been very impresses with the Toronto store but the customer service at the Calgary store is really disappointing. The two ladies that seem to be full time are dismissive, condescending, and unprofessional (dress and hygiene). I have popped in a number of times and even purchased a couple of pairs of glasses and the service is the same. What happened to the days when sales people were genuinely friendly, helpful and welcoming?

Really disappointed. Got referred here by a friend. Went three times including twice to try on and another time to pick up. Only one of those visits I had anything close to decent customer service. Other times the employees were rude and I had to engage with them a lot before I got any help. When I purchased my glasses they measured how much hang-over I would have due to the width. They suggested I purchase a more expensive lens and two additional add-ons to make the width less noticeable (hand polish and one other thing). I was told one of the add-ons would also get rid of the white matte on the side. When I picked up my glasses, there was barely even hang over at all compared to what they had shown me before AND what little hang over there was - it was the white matte. So I spent a considerable amount of extra money for absolutely nothing!! On top of that - the glasses seemed to not be my prescription (I obviously can't confirm this) so I asked if there was a way to double check the prescription. I asked this because my friend had bought glasses from this same shop that needed to be sent back to the lab. So I expressed concern about both the hang over and the prescription and the employee told me to go home and try them out and come back if I thought something was wrong. Why should I come back later to discuss something that was so glaringly obviously wrong? The other employee barely got off of her computer for a minute just to tell me that there was nothing that they could do for me right now. Tried calling to get a solution but nothing!
