Dr. Penny and Dr. Hesla are simply the best! I had many issues with my eyes and vision in the past. Dr.Hesla was able to fix my prescription and I can finally see! The glasses are beautiful as well, great quality and amazing staff!

Have a great glasses selection here at this optometrist. Nice waiting area to sit in. Love the atmosphere this place has to offer here. Outstanding eye doctor and clinic! I recently switched to Mayfair Eye Care and I am SO thankful that I did because Dr. Penny's eye exams are the best I have ever had because the office is light and cheery, all the equipment is new and seems like the latest technology, everyone is so happy and kind, and I truly felt like my exam was the most relaxing but thorough one I've had. You can tell Dr. Penny knows everything there is to know about eyes and vision. The only thing I didnt love was finding out I need progressive lenses because of aging eyes! Ha. Thankful that Dr. Penny infused some humor in the situation. Also, I got experienced and talented care and help from the staff in the eye glasses showroom and I am so excited to get my new glasses! (Even though they are progressives!) I feel like I have been missing out by not going to see her for the last 10 years...she is so much better than where I was going before. Plus, the clinic is pretty central (near Chinook Centre area), and the medical building has the greatest little bakery/cafe and boutique-type pharmacy downstairs. I honestly had a good time getting my eyes checked and shopping for new glasses. Who knew the eye doctor could be so much fun, right?! One last thing...I was pleasantly surprised at the price of my glasses. I thought that buying at an eye doctors office would be more but I paid less than I have paid for my last 2 pairs of glasses. Overall, I would definitely recommend Mayfair Eye Care... the clinic is my new favorite find in yyc!!

Yeah, don't bother going anywhere else. Extremely thorough eye exam, super awesome staff, excellent prices compared to Pearle vision or Lenscrafters. But the most impressive part is the glasses stylist gals who actually fits you properly and professionally helps you choose frame styles that work for your face. No other place I have been to does this near as good. Love the British accent.

I wish I could say nice things. I was initially hopeful that they would be a solid resource for my eye care needs as I require(d) eye physiotherapy. But I can emphatically confirm that they don’t care about their clients, just their bottom line. Zero compassion period is bad business, but during a pandemic?!? That’s just plain ignorant.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Mayfair Eye Care last week. I hadn’t been for an eye exam in a couple years, called on a Monday at 9, got an appointment at the clinic for 920 the same day. Dr Penny was very thorough and took the time to show me the results of the test, even an exciting picture of my eye! I enjoyed myself so much I grabbed glasses and contacts while I was there. The glasses were done within the week, which made me happy. Thank you for the excellent service the team at Mayfair Eye Clinic provided me, I will definitely be back!

I've worn glasses most of my life and switched to Dr. Penny about 8 years ago after receiving sub-par care elsewhere. She looks after our whole family and is very patient and thorough with all of us. I never worry about her missing a detail. She takes the extra step of checking for tracking issues or anything that may prevent the kids from succeeding in school. Also a pleasant waiting room for kids. She's put us in with short notice if someone has had an eye issue. Highly recommend!

Mayfair Eye Care is amazing! I had initially received a prescription from a different eye care place and had Mayfair Eye Care order glasses for me based off that prescription, when the first order came in, my prescription was not correct and I was quite upset. Dr. Penny re-checked my eyes and I ended up with a total different prescription. Having never worn glasses in my entire life (I am in my 30's), I did not understand anything, but Dr. Penny explained everything to me which made me feel more at ease and grasp a better understanding of my eyes and how my prescription worked. Lori was also amazing when it came to picking out frames. She is open and honest and will tell you straight up if the frames don't suite you and I have great respect for that. Thank you Mayfair Eye Care for the amazing customer service you have provided and for making me feel welcome and at ease. Your knowledge and expertise sure made my first time glasses experience great! I am in love with my new glasses :D

BEST Experience ever! My son got his first pair of glasses and the whole appointment was great. From the professional staff, to the super clean and beautiful clinic, to the awesome exam with Dr. Hesla, the whole thing was great. Our son loves his new glasses - there were lots to pick from actually and it was hard to choose but the person helping him was great. And a special thank you to Dr Hesla. He was hilarious and so good with my child! The jokes he had were the best! The good news is even after a fun exam, the most important part is that my son's vision is improved and he feels confident at school. Thanks Mayfair Eye Care!

Both myself and my two sons, have been patients of Dr. Hesla's for almost 10 years. When it came time to book an annual this year, I discovered that he had moved to a new location. I booked an appointment at Mayfair Eye Care and was impressed instantly. The staff were helpful, their COVID protocols were on point, and I felt treated like they they owned the practice. I could hear my teenage son being treated with patience, when he insisted on blinking every time they tried to take a photo of his eye. I have always found Dr. Hesla to be courteous but I most appreciate his efforts in trying to find a "best fit" vision correction solution for my unique needs. I have a strong prescription and a need for help with reading, usual for those of us with "experience". I know their is no perfect solution however I appreciate the empathetic honesty that Dr. Hesla conveys. I will be test-driving a few options and will get to choose which option works best for me.

Dr Penny and her staff have been very kind, caring and friendly. Since my troublesome eye surgeries, they have given of their time and energy to make me well. I have needed many appointments and they have always fit me in and made me feel important to them. Pretty much as soon as I arrive they take me right in for eye testing first and then to see Dr. Penny. I have never experienced a long wait time. They have treated me like family! If you are needing an eye specialist, I would highly recommend Dr Penny and her dedicated staff. You will never find more amazing, nurturing and caring people than you will find at Mayfair Eye Care. My daughter and I booked our eye exams and went to Dr. Penny to go through the process of ensuring our eyesight was the best it could be. That’s when the magic started to happen! Both my daughter and I needed eyewear, first time for my daughter. Dr. Penny and her incredible staff lead us through an amazing process that took care of every detail and left no question unanswered. When we went back to pick up our new eyewear, again Dr. Penny’s staff ensured the fit, look, feel, placement and education of our new glasses were spot on. In that process they noticed a small imperfection in my eyewear, I didn’t notice it, they did and insisted on ordering me new ones. As per my new expectation of exceptional customer service, Dr. Penny’s team called to let me know that my new glasses were ready. In scheduling my pick up, given my busy schedule they offered up the ability for me to show-up 2 hours early before they opened to come in and get my new glasses. And when I arrived two hours early on a Saturday morning I was greeted by Cindy with the biggest smile and the best customer service I have ever received. Words cannot express the gratitude and appreciation I have for Dr. Penny, Laura and the team at Mayfair Eye Care. But, I will certainly try! At this time (October 25th, 2021) I am currently working full time, I exercise every day, I play my guitar and sing, and I can drive my own vehicle. I can honestly say that before meeting Dr. Penny, these things were not possible. What is more, I have the time and energy I want to be a Dad, and the husband my wife deserves. I personally sustained a concussion in August of 2019. I finally was able to see Dr. Penny for the first time in July of 2020. I’ll never forget our first meeting; I don’t remember what metric or instrument she used, but she clearly showed me that my vision was messed up. “How come,” I asked, “how come no other medical professional found these results?” And I promise you, I saw dozens of doctors, optometrists, physiotherapists and more. Dr. Penny’s response, “I’ve been doing this long enough, I know what to look for.” What is more, Dr. Penny had a therapy program that could fix the problem with my eyes. Honestly, just knowing that something was wrong and that I wasn’t crazy when I told everyone I was seeing double was a milestone, but to know that there was a way to fix it? Glory to the heavens!! The therapy and follow up appointments with Laura and Dr. Penny took a year. This was by no means easy as the therapy would give me headaches and nausea to work through. That’s headaches and nausea on top of the headaches and nausea I was already experiencing. BUT! It was worth it! Oh, my God, it was worth it! I have my life back. My kids love getting their eyes checked with Dr Penny. They feel so welcome and comfortable at her office. The office has an amazing area for children, coffee and tea for grown ups and a very sleek and airy aesthetic. Having said that, we have never had to spend more than 3 minutes in the waiting room. The glasses fitting staff are super helpful and do a great job assisting to select frames that look great. Both my daughter and I got fabulous frames delivered quickly. The natural light pouring into the office really helps with frame selection. Dr. Penny is experienced, reassuring, and efficient. I highly recommend Mayfair Eye Care.

Where to start? Dr.Penny really pulled through for me when I had that scary floater incident, while on holidays! The staff are so friendly, I wish we were related! And now my husband and I have retired and moved to the east coast -- I can only hope to find an optometrist as talented & empathetic as Dr.Penny, with such a warm & friendly staff.

I had a horrible time with Dr. Hesela. I went in to replace my single vision lenses because they were scratched. I have always had single vision lenses and never had an issue. it ended up taking 5 months, 3 eye exams and 5 insistent requests to get single vision lenses. He refused to listen to me and seemed adamant on treating "issues" I never had. Mabey he's great if you actually have something wrong but I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy
