You can get good quality hipster glasses for a fraction of the price. When I walked in, i was treated with respect by the rep (most likely a manager b/c he was standing near the entrance). I was hoping to get my lenses replaced, but he was willing to give me some store credit and let me purchase a brand new pair. Man, i've been a loyal WP customer since they launched their online store back in 2010ish. They've managed to scout really good reps and/or must have amazing staff training programs. Such a positive atmosphere. Consistent across borders too. My very first experience w/ them was in the US. Props to the founders of the company. My understanding is that if you donate your old frames, they'll give it to a kid in a country of need. In retrospect, maybe i should given my old pair.

Unfortunately, Warby Parker's quality has diminished over the years. The online buying experience is straight up terrible and slow (takes 1 month to ship a pair of glasses), and their system has plenty of errors. There's no way to simulate glasses anymore, and the home try on for Canadians is a joke. The experience here at the store itself was alright, nothing of stand out, so this review is more reflective of the business as a whole. If it wasn't for store experience actually, I'd definitely rate Warby a 1/5 now.

This is the new way to buy glasses. I've always been reluctant to buy glasses online due to not having the ability to try them on first. Having recently found out that Warby Parker opened a store at Yorkdale, I was eager to drop by to try on some glasses. The customer rep there was friendly and very helpful, and most of all, not pushy. She wasn't trying to sell me the glasses but was genuinely trying to help, because they don't actually sell anything at the store. You try on the glasses and then order on their website. It's a beautiful concept! No obligation to buy, cool styles, good pricing...thumbs up!

When i was in the store to order two pairs of glasses they were friendly and helpful. They said you will receive your order in two weeks. Unfortunately they didn’t let me know my order is coming from US and when I call them after three weeks they said we don’t know how long it takes and you have no option but to wait.

I bought a pair of frames from the Kitsilano location a month a go. I went in today to get an adjust and had an incredible experience. Nicola immediately sprang into action to fulfill my request, while Ricci and I contemplated the nuances of positive social interaction in todays society. The outcome was that my glasses now fit perfectly and my faith in humanity is restored. Thanks ladies you are the best!

Great customer service, competitively priced product. As someone with a very high prescription I should not have ordered the glasses online, but I suppose I didn't see this messaging in the website... No pun intended. I I went into the Yorkdale store when I had a chance and mentioned that my glasses were nice, but things looked a little off. They optician promptly remeasured me and ordered a lens replacement. This was obviously my error, but the optician made the change without hesitation. Really above and beyond customer service. This was my first purchase from Warby Parker, and I can't see any reason to go anywhere else for my future optical needs. Side note: low bridge fit is like a gift from the glasses gods for Asian faces.

Everyone that approached me at Warby Parker Yorkdale was super friendly, patient and helpful. I can be pain when choosing glasses and I try on so many and ask a lot of questions. I wear my glasses around 15 hours a day so making sure they are comfy is important to me so I really take my time in choosing the right frame. The employees at this location were totally awesome about it. Highly recommend going to this location. I love also that they have some frame styles that come in many sizes not just 1 size. And you can return for full refund if you aren't satisfied. Thanks so much everyone that works there!

The experience felt like ordering from a specialized buffet menu. The variety of selections was just right: not too many, not too few. The prices are far better than their competitors. Nice, knowledgeable staff. Glasses delivery arrived early and in perfect condition. I recommend this store highly and will shop here again.

I first ordered my pair from Warby's in the summer of 2018. I get asked about my frames often and so, I recommend this place. These frames fit me and my style very well and the customer service is always great when you go to Warby's! About a month ago, I stopped by a couple of times to change my nose pads because they kept falling off. On my third visit, they found out that there was a defect on my frames and I got a new frame as a result. They were really attentive and took care of my situation, so I'm pretty grateful. Since then, my nose pads have not fallen off :)

This was a fantastic experience from start to finish. I heard about Warby Parker on a recent podcast and thought I'd give it a try. The store itself is beautiful and the glasses selection is impressive - very high quality, lots of styles to choose from, but not so many that it becomes overwhelming. The staff were incredible, very helpful and knowledgable, and unlike nearly every other glasses shop, there is no up-sell as features like UV protection and scratch resistance are already built in. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a hassle-free and stylish place to pick up some glasses!

I loved how these guys sold me on their glasses. I walked in and said hi, they asked me if I needed help. I told the lady there that I was just looking for some new frames and she just let me delve into the plentiful, simplistic frames that Warby Parker had to offer. They didn't breathe down my neck trying to get me to get a pair of their glasses. They let me breathe and didn't rush me into a certain style. The store is artsy and beautiful how it's laid out. Simple, colourful and brilliant. I'm definitely going to recommend this shop to everyone that needs lenses.

I love this store so much. Their glasses are stylish, but decently priced, and what's more important, their customer service via phone has been amazing (Even better than in store). They replaced my lenses for free after I scratched them after a few month. These guys understand top quality customer service. We went in looking for glasses and were greeted immediately, offered help, and then they stepped back and let us browse. It was nice to take your time and not feel pressured or rushed. When we went to ask about a specific pair for my boyf, the guy was so informative. Still we didn’t feel pressured to buy anything, and that’s exactly why we purchased here! We had gone to many of the other stores along 4th but we ultimately liked the service and price point here. This was a brutal experience. I was ordering 2 pairs of glasses and right off the bat they got not just one, but BOTH frames wrong (they ordered 1 wide and 1 narrow instead of 2 regulars), so I had to go back in to correct that after receiving my order confirmation email. They fixed that issue and promised it would take about 5 or 6 days for the glasses to arrive in-store. Fine. I called to check on the status after about 8 days and they had allegedly arrived at customs. Okay...But then a few days later, still nothing. Then i went back in after 2 weeks and they had no idea where they were. The tracking wasn’t detailed enough. So now after more than 3 weeks I’m calling and requesting a refund because the glasses are totally MIA and nobody can tell me where they are...but I have to wait for a refund until they arrive in store?! That’s the whole issue! They are nowhere and nobody can give me a straight answer and WP has now had $900 of mine for a month and I can’t see anyyyythingggg! Terrible experience and I wont Be going back.

Very disappointed with the customer service at this location. My first pair of eyeglasses ever were from Warby Parker, but at their Queen location and they were incredibly helpful and lovely. However, this location, they are incredibly inattentive, ignoring when I and others walked in, while trying on glasses and when I had questions in order to purchase a new pair.

Update: Customer service contacted me and they have help me with replacing my glasses. Just received it few days ago and I’m very happy. Thank you so much! Previous review: I had bought my glasses in April 2019. I was really happy with them. Around March the lenses was scratched up and stores were closed due to the pandemic. So i thought I would wait till everything opened up. I’ve called today to see if Its possible to get my scratch lenses fixed and the rep told me they wouldn’t be able to do it. I understand that it is past the year but because of the pandemic I thought they would be more helpful and understanding. I wish they could’ve done something to help me out.

Great retail experience! I was looking to purchase my first pair of prescription glasses...after browsing many many stores, I finally made the trip to Warby Parker. All of the sales staff were ridiculously friendly and helpful. The sales person who helped me (Jordon) was extremely attentive when I needed him but was no pressure when I needed time to go back and forth between different frames. At the point where I felt like I had exhausted all options, I described to Jordan what I felt like was looking for and he brought me over a pair of Chamberlain's which fit the bill perfectly. Ended up buying two pairs in two different colours. Very reasonably priced and very happy with the product thus far. Bonus points for entertaining my kids with some complimentary Warby Parker books. They have become much-used colouring books since! Will definitely be back the next time I need specs!

Friendly staff and great prices. All the single vision lenses start at $150. With progressive & high index lenses, our total price can out to $525. Staff couldn’t tell me what kind of lenses I was getting. Only to say it’s their our house brand. With the ongoing pandemic, you will need to pick out the frame and try it on outside with your mask off. All the frames you try on will go into a tray for disinfecting. Then goes back onto the shelves.

My in-store experience on 4th ave was great. Super friendly and helpful team. They did not let me know the glasses were coming from the US though- I have been waiting since the beginning of November and they have still not arrived. (Jan 26th now). After a few calls to their customer service they re-ordered me a pair, and it's been close to 3 weeks now and they're still not in Canada and nobody can tell me when they will arrive. Just a heads up for Canadian shoppers! Their styles are awesome though!

The staff in the store are friendly and were able to help me find the perfect pair of glasses in a matter of minutes. They were then ready in less than the promised time, which is fantastic. Staff helped me to fit them properly and even re-shaped my (Warby Parker) sunglasses. Recently, I dropped then stepped on my glasses leaving scratches on the lenses. Their warranty covers this! My new glasses will be shipped to my house. I am beyond impressed.

I had an excellent experience with the folks at the West 4th location. Pleasant, helpful staff with great suggestions who also knew when I step back and let me look. After visiting multiple optical stores I decided to purchase a pair of single vision lenses because the frames were just what I was looking for and the price was more than right. Even with a high level prescription. The glasses I ordered arrived in under a week! Much faster than the two weeks the salespeople told me about. Perhaps it was a optical anomaly but I was absolutely delighted. The optician fitted me on the spot and I was out the door with a smile on my face. Definitely recommend this place.

This was the best glasses buying experience I've ever had. I paid less than half of what I usually pay ($225 vs $500+), I was allowed to browse and try on glasses without being followed around by a sales person, and they WAY over delivered on the pick up time. I was told my glasses would take 8-11 business days to arrive, which is standard, totally fine by me, but, they showed up in 3! I'm floored with the service and experience. Everything about this place was great: good selection of frames, nice service and convenient location. Unfortunately, the quality of the product was a big disappointment. I have worn reading glasses for years from many companies and I am hard on them. After a few weeks the lenses looked like a coating was coming off. I returned them and got a free replacement. I asked for a more durable lens for which I offered to pay more. They didn't have anything. In a few more weeks the lenses were again hard to see through. I had already decided to replace them from another source when I lost the glasses. I'm not sure if they would have given me a refund. I went to Great Glasses where I got 3 pairs for $250 and so far the first pair is perfect after a couple of months. Give Warby Parker a miss. All style no substance.

Had to repair an online purchased glasses. In-store customer service was amazing and offered to fix it free of charge and was patient explaining why the issue existed for the current frames. Got the frames replaced within a week or so. Purchased a second pair. Again, great service explaining the differences in frames. Patient employees that didn't make me feel rushed in making my decision. Will definitely come back again for future eyeglass purchases.

Bought a few pairs there but the lenses are soft. Last pair I had they replaced a scratched lens. My latest pair they say the policy now is not to let you buy lenses to replace in their glasses. Have to buy a whole new pair. I like the place but the lenses do scratch pretty easily and you will need a whole new pair each time they do.

UPDATE: Warby Parker customer service supervisor reached out to me and took the time to understand the situation. She explained that my issue is to be covered under 2 year warranty and was very prompt with her responses and action. I am glad my experience with Warby Parker will remain positive and I look forward to continuing my business with them! Original story:A little over a year after purchasing, the coating on glasses started coming off. The customer service rep told me it's out of warranty. I guess that speaks to the quality and so called service from Warby parker. It's unfortunate because I had thought I finally found a place to purchase reliable glasses without a huge markup. I think my glasses came to $200-250 (was a year ago so I can't remember exactly). My previous pair from Costco costed $300 but had lasted me 3 years until I broke it playing sports. I was thinking of getting a second pair but not from Warby Parker again. Disappointing.

I have a low nose bridge. It is difficult to find a frame that fits me well. I found most of my frames slided down my nose and scratched my cheeks. I’m happy to find Warby Parker has a variety of low bridge fit frames. Their frames are clean and simple. I got a black one with wide width. It takes about two weeks to arrive. It fits perfectly. I also had my eye exam there with Dr Li. She was friendly and helpful. I’m happy with the overall experience. Highly recommended

Had a great experience here. The staff are super friendly and the selection is quite good. The prices are exceptionally cheap especially if you have a strong prescription since they charge a flat fee for glasses (+$50 if you have a really strong prescription in order to get thinner lenses). There's always enough sales representatives to help you out. The store is also really nice and modern inside. They say 8-11 day wait time for glasses, but it is more like 3-4 business days. One thing to keep in mind is that all of their emails go into your spam filter!! So you have to pay attention. They call you when your glasses arrive at the store (if you choose to pick them up) which is a nice touch.

She was friendly and patient providing me with useful advice on how to better look after my eyes which was above and beyond my expectation for a regular eye exam. In-store experience was great. Friendly and helfpul reps. Getting the glasses - a whole other story. They are almost three weeks late getting to me, I have spoken to their customer service team twice (because they did not let me know they would be late and the first time, did not have an idea of when they would arrive) and the courier did not contact me when they arrived (which still puts them at three weeks late), so they are now sitting at a delivery depot. Tried to get some sort of resolution - they told me I either pick them up at the delivery depot or wait 14-17 days for them to ship me a new pair, which makes no sense. Will not deal with this company again. A great service experience needs to consider the whole process - not just the in-store experience.

I wanted to buy a a pair of glasses worth $250-300 and they wouldn’t sell them to me with my existing prescription. I have a medical plan that covers the entire thing. I shared the prescription with the sales person, they said they can’t sell unless I had a new prescription and they didn’t sell me. What a disappointment!! The loss of a potential customer and now business. Unreal. Never will I go back to W. Parker!

Best glasses this side of the Mississippi. This beautifully designed store catches your eye with a stunning front piece of copy, encased in visual style of an eye exam. They actually have postcards with a great picture of this inside as well. You walk in to this gorgeous store and find it to be more like an elegant library, the walls shelved with rows of stylish frames arranged by shape and size, topped with blocks of richly bound books (from Tennessee Williams to Stephen King) sequenced by colour and arranged in painstaking detail. In between are showcased frames of various books and quotes which add to the aesthetic flavour of Warby Parker. On top of all of this, the store is well staffed with optometrists galore-eager to share their knowledge and experience. As an added bonus, these frames are exceedingly affordable and I strongly urge anyone and everyone to try them out.

Very welcoming store. M partner bought his glasses from there and was very happy with their service. I went back yesterday because I lost a tiny screw on one of my glasses. Nicola very kindly replaced it in no time. She was quick, friendly and very efficient. Will go back there for my next prescription. Dog friendly store as well.

They have good collection of glasses but unfortunately I am very disappointed for waiting time which is more than two weeks and I still didn’t receive the glasses yet.Their customer service is good but they should open their one lab in Canada to give them good service and order on time and one thing I would like to add with this Canadian customer is that they have to go throw custome check which make the order more late.So good luck with your order.

If you dont wanna spend too much on your new glasses and prescription lens, this is the place to go. Great customer service to help you get the perfect pair of glasses. All glasses are in-house designs meaning no crazy mark up like lens crafter. What you see on the price tag include frame and lens. Average price point is about $200. Compare to other stores where you pay $500 for just the frame because it says ray ban on it lol.

Great stylish prescription glasses for a much cheaper price! Prescriptions glasses start at $150 and prescription sunglasses start at $250. Staff is attentive and people traffic is much less than the Queen st downtown location. With that said you get a slightly more attentive service. Glasses usually take about 7-10 business days to arrive back at store and notice is received via email. Lens are scratch guarantee for the first year and you can always come in for adjustmemts. Ive had to come in several times in one year bc my children would bend them and I am always greeted with a smile and friendly service.

Awesome staff. Great quality eyewear for a fraction of the price elsewhere. Would recommend buying from here. You won't regret it. Got mine on a Saturday and it was ready for pick up on Tuesday. You can have it delivered free of charge.

A little disappointed by my recent experience here. I have purchased glasses and sunglasses here before. I wanted to put a new lens into an already existing frame (by Warby Parker) and I was told that wasn’t possible because the frame was discontinued and not possible to cut. Unfortunate because I found tons of other optical stores willing to help, you would think Warby Parker would be willing considering I’m using their frame! I am at Image Optical in Brampton right now and they can put in my new lenses in the next hour!

They told my wife she would get her glasses in 2 weeks. Week 2 they said they found an imperfection in the lens and sent them back. Ok. Week 3 it was the storm. I no longer trust this brand nor should you. It is week four. No call or communication. Cheap prices cheap service. One star now is too many.

Amazing experience trying on and reviewing the many frame options available at the Yorkdale location. The store associate was very helpful putting my needs and appropriate frame choice first. Will definitely be back, just waiting to receive my frames and am excited to try them on!

I bought a pair of WP glasses a couple years ago. The other day they snapped when I was cleaning them. Not crazy hard cleaning, just holding them with a cloth. I phoned customer service, explained the situation. The best they could offer me was a slight discount on a new order. Really? I paid $350 for the glasses. I don't expect glasses to last forever, but for $350 they should last longer than 2 years. This is the first time I ever had glasses BREAK IN HALF, and I have owned many pairs over the years. Not cool Warby Parker. You should stand by your product.

I was hesitant to order prescription glasses from here after reading review of bad shipping/tracking details but I went in and had a great experience with Kathleen who did a superb job of helping me pick the right frame, getting measured by the optician, while training her new staff! I just got the email to pick up the glasses 4 days after ordering. Excited to go in and pick them up!
