Gurjot was so helpful!! I got to the store about 1/2 hour before closing and Gurjot never made me feel rushed. He was extremely helpful and patient as I looked around trying to find the best glasses. His suggestions were so on the mark that I felt he had known me for years. He picked out the perfect styles for me and I can’t wait to get them!! I thought I would try Hakim for my new prescription. The eye doctor was so nice and other than waiting to be seen in store to pick out frames it was ok. They filled my prescription and I specifically asked for my first choice pair to be the ones coated with Transitions. When I got them back, the wrong pair was coated. I let them know and they said I had to have the whole thing done over, instead of them just coating the correct pair, unless I wanted to pay to have the right ones done. So they will only correct their mistake if i. pay or go without glasses for a while. Not impressed with that. It would cost them less to just coat the proper pair and fix their mistake. I even went through the BBB but Hakim ignored them. Buyer beware!

I have tried a lot of places before I went into Hakim for a pair of glasses. The service ad collection here is unbelievable. The doctor actually gave me a through exam and determined how my vision power has changed which the other doctor totally missed last time that was not that long ago. But the most impressive was Ms.Sanada's assistance in choosing frames. She is immensely knowledgeable and experienced that she can pick the best suited frames for your face no matter how you look or want to look. She works with you, for your satisfaction. She also made a huge impact in me because she offered all possible offers available helping me get not one but four frames well inside my budget. Hakim, I thank you for such amazing staff at your esteemed company

I’ve been dealing with Hakim for the better part of 10 years now and just dropped in again today for service. While all the staff are excellent and very friendly I mostly deal with Sonata because she knows my particular issues related to macular degeneration and history. As a result I get the best possible results from progressive lenses. Believe me I’m a challenge! Today she patched my broken glasses together so that I can get by while a new frame is on route. She goes the extra mile and really that’s been the case with any of the staff I’ve dealt with at this location in the past. From Dr Kaler’s prescriptions to final adjustments to my frames their service cannot be beaten.

Do yourself a favor and don't go here, the products are bad quality and warranty is a joke.I spent hundreds of dollars here and it took them 6 weeks to get them when I phoned in to ask for a refund due to that they said no and made me wait 6 weeks I've own them for about four months now and there garbage they always need to be adjusted and their transition glasses are dark all the time even at night. The Crystal vision place a few buildings down is a very excellent place my last glasses were from there and I had no problems should have went back to them I will be going back there this month.

Took in my daughter's glasses to get fixed and used the warranty for them to repace her broken glasses for a new pair and it took them 6 to 8 months of trouble!! Kept saying to me and my husband that they lost them & so on and so on!! They just gave me back her broken glasses after 8 months and told us that their is nothing they could do!! What a waste of my money!!!

Fantastic service and selection. No pushy salespeople trying to force you to go with them; just friendly, knowledgeable help. Walked into the store looking for new frames after 5 years. First tech to help me asked me what I was looking for, what styles I liked, and what my prescription was, and immediately brought me to the perfect pair of glasses. I walked around the store and found six more, and he and another tech helped me narrow them down to two. I was given pricing break downs that both included my cost after what my insurance covers, and the price as a whole. Alternative lens options were easy to understand (most included demonstrations too!) and cost breakdowns so I could make an informed decision with all the numbers and facts. Fantastic service. Fantastic selection. Good prices and promos. Well recommended.

Walked-in to check the store and what they have to offer. Their displays are all over the place. The lady who helped me look for frames was helpful, but the other lady (Elena) was just mean and as if she was trying to push me out of the door even if there’s still 30mins before closing. Seriously Disappointing Establishment to do business with. I chose Hakim Walkers Line location to replace my new prescription. I could have gone anywhere. I left my glasses with them for over a week and a half while they were sent away for fitting. I had a great experience dropping my glasses off and was helped by an agent who's home Hakim was the Guelph Line location, who offered me contacts to get me by until my glasses were ready, gave great advice and was very personable. I have however, received terrible service from the team at the Walkers line location though every interaction. Even when I went to pick up my glasses, I was not greeted, thanked, or was shown anything that would resemble a level of giving a care in the world about their customers. I've since dealt with the Hakim Guelph Line location for my needs and do not wish or plan to do business at this location in the future.

We are delighted to share our customer experience at that store. We had purchased eyeglasses, that after 3 months of trying to adjust to it, we could not find a way to be satisfied with the eyeglasses. We had an excellent support from the staff of that store, especially Senada, and despite the best efforts of everybody there, the eyeglasses were not for me. We wrote to HAKIM HQ to ask for a solution, and they did provide it: A FULL REIMBURSEMENT within the next 10 days. Needless to say that we were impressed. My wife who uses eyeglasses from that store remains a happy satisfied customer and we will continue to go to that store. Once again, it demonstrates that there are companies that have responsible behaviours. Congratulations.

Went on Tuesday last week get my eye exam and new glasses and the eye doctor was great and funny. The workers were great and so nice. I truly recommend this Hakim cause I got great experience at Portage Hakim.

I have been patronizing Hakim Optical for over 10 years now and find myself coming back to the same branch on Walkers line in Burlington every time. The staff on hand have always proven to be stellar at what they do and this most recent visit reinforced that conviction. I was greeted at the door by Gurjot Singh. Aside from being one of the most pleasant and likeable persons I have ever encountered at Hakims, I found Gurjot to be professional and extremely knowledgeable at his trade. He walked me thru the frame and lens selection seamlessly and before I left the store he confirmed my coverage thru my insurance carrier. I paid zero out of pocket for my two pair of glasses which were ready well within the promised due date. Thank you Gurjot. I highly recommend this store !!!

My experience with this place has been horrible - a waste of my money and of my time. I bought a pair of glaces and within nine months they were pealing off; I took them back and while they were fixing them they broke my lenses. When they put new lenses in, they didn’t match my transitioning lenses. One would be darker the other would stay clear. I went back and was told there’s no warranty on my lenses - even though they installed lenses that didn’t match - all this in a very short a mount of time. I will never waste my money at this place again. This business does not deserve even a single star. I wish there was an option for no star.

Been going here for about 4/5 years & there’s always a lady with a snobby attitude working behind the counter. Eye exams always go well. Recently while I was waiting to get into my eye exam there, I was browsing glasses since I planned on getting some. As I’m browsing, the snobby lady ask if I need help. I say no, I’m just waiting on my eye exam, thank you though. Moments later, I pick up a pair of frames to give them a closer look and the snobby lady demands that I go sit in the office and wait for my appointment. Was not a good experience what so ever.

For the past year, I've been wearing their own lenses, which are lower priced, but not lower quality than my previous lenses. my experience with their customer service was absolutely terrible. I took my expensive sunglasses so that they could fix the temple . when I went to pick up my sunglasses not only did they not fix it , they threw the temple in the garbage. I couldn't believe what I was being told . the representative there was extremely rude and unprofessional. If you value your eyesight, go to Hakim. No words can adequately express how great of an experience I had at Hakim on Portage. I was a previous patient at a different eye centre, but after coming to Hakim, I can't go back. Aside from amazing customer service, what stood out to me the most is that they are knowedgable on what they do, giving me loads of valuable information I hadn't known before--I can't stress enough how important this is to me. At my previous optical centre, no one guided me on how I should take care of my glasses/contact lenses, that at this point I could've lost my vision already. With Hakim's help, I'm certain of a bright and healthy future for my eyes. That's not to say the customer services pales in comparison. Every visit I've made all the employees have been so kind and caring. They treat you with so much care, you can feel how genuine they are in wanting to help you find the most comfortable and suitable fit for your eyewear. Not once have I been made to feel as if I were annoying or a nuisance, and trust me, I've spent hours there with lots of questions and I've come in multiple times for adjustments. They are consistently a pleasure to meet with. I'm really not one to write reviews, but this place blew me out of the water. I trust Hakim so much. You should too, you won't regret it.

During the last three years I have purchased six great pairs of eye glasses from this exceptional dispensing optician. I originally went in looking for blue light eye protection. Senada the manager demonstrated the benefits of Blueshield lenses. I now have two pairs with my distance/progressive prescription and two pairs without any prescription for reading, writing and technology uses. I just received two pairs of tinted safety glasses - delivered from out-of-province in just two days! Because of their discounts, the cost of multiple pairs has been extremely reasonable. Management and staff have been able to completely satisfy my eyewear needs efficiently, quickly, and cost effectively. I have been very pleased!
