Not too impressed with the service. I've never waited this long for glasses ever. Also 400 dollars for 3 pairs of glasses? How is that a deal? I'm definitely sticking to Hakims. I never have to wait more then 2 days for glasses there.

Worst experience ever. I will never recommend anyone to come here. Go some where else at the end we have to pay. In the beginning they are very nice after receiving money they change everything. Worst place to make your glasses.

I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received here. They were very kind and so helpful in assisting me with selecting just the right glasses for me, I didn't feel rushed in the least. My glasses were ordered late afternoon on a Monday and I received the call that they were ready to be picked up the following Thursday. Couldn't be more satisfied, I love them. Thank you so much!

I have never had a bad experience with anyone at Appleby Optical I have purchased at least 5 pairs of glasses from Appleby Optical over 4 years My son has 4 sets. We have used other places in the past so i have a comparison Eye Testing, Regular lenses, continous bifocals and safety glasses They have fixed without charge any minor issue like screws out, bent frames... They have always been polite and have gone out of their way to help.

Very Dishonest Business. They charged my insurance without authorization for a widely advertised complimentary eye exam. Upon complain they refused to fix the issue claiming this is not my money anyway.

NO STARS!!! worst place ever. My sun glasses would stretch after a few minutes of wearing them I took them back so many times, he told me " Oh just bring them in when ever you want".....NO!!!! I asked for my $300 plus back he refused. DO NOT WAST YOUR MONEY. Suprised they are still in business.

AWFUL AWFUL and AWFUL is the best way to describe this place, the service and the quality of the frames/lenses. I will make this short and sweet on here as I am going as high as I need to get justice here. This place is unacceptable! Bought glasses scratch resistant coating $300.00 for ONE PAIR the very FIRST DAY they got scratched on the lenses, brought them in and they said too bad, not covered under warranty even after not even one FULL DAY??!!! Bought a second pair at another $300.00, within a couple weeks they fell off with the side part still on my ear. AGAIN, brought them in, they were rude and condescending and said I had to pay to repair them. They actually accused me of breaking them some other way???!!! I REFUSED to give them another cent and I am on a mission to make sure no one else does either!!! Do not waste your money on cheap glasses! If you end up needing service within a very reasonable amount of time not only will you not get it, they will treat you terribly in the process. I brought the glasses to another optician and he said that the mechanism in the side was loose and that's why they fell off. He also said that my first pair of lenses that got scratched the first day were NOT quality or scratch resistant in anyway an showed me the difference as well.

My only pair of glasses broke on Canada day, and leaving for vacation a couple of days later, it left me stressed out as to whether or not I'll be able to see while away. Nothing else was open!! I was happy I found this one. Lily was more than accomodating on the phone and in person to tell me what can be done. If I got a new pair of glasses, it would've taken a week longer because of the holidays and the higher prescription lenses I needed. Was there not more than 30mins and she found a quick solution for my broken glasses, I left with a new set of frames and a smile on my face because of the awesome staff.

It's hard to find a good local optical, so I'm glad I stumbled on this place when I went to see the dentist in the plaza. The selection is not bad depending on what you're looking for, they have a lot of those big plastic nerd glasses so if that's your thing you'll be pleasantly surprised. As for me, I LOVE hipster glasses and I'm quite picky about the shape and color, so I had a field day there. After an hour of trying literally everything on, I found 3 lovely pairs and the guy there gave me 70 dollars off for bringing in my own script. Altogether it came to 320 and I only had to pay a little more than 100 because they billed my insurance company directly. Score!

You would be hard pressed to find more accommodating people to help you with your glasses selection. They will happily spend as much time as necessary to make sure you're satisfied. This is a small, locally owned business, so you can be sure you're supporting Burlington business owners. It's unfortunate that there have been some unscrupulous reviews posted by people who were being less than honest. If an insurance company or government agency, like ODSP, is paying for your glasses, you have to abide by certain restrictions and regulations regards your glasses order. You can't expect more than you're entitled to and shouldn't hold the fine people at Appleby Optical responsible for your situation.
