Amazing staff, selection and service !!! We purchased a couple of frames from Zohreh and she spent a fair amount of time chatting with us about the frames . It's just such a pleasure to talk to people who love what they do and who know so much about the history and development of the products they sell. I also had a ton of fun trying on all sorts of different frames that you typically can't find anywhere . We never felt any pressure since she was really professional and also very chill . I highly recommend this place!

I wandered into Galileo because they're right in downtown and conveniently close to my office. The staff were super friendly and quickly set me up with the optometrist, listened to my requirements and made great recommendations. Wearing glasses all the time means fit and near/far are a big deal and Galileo helped me get sorted with new progressives including sunglasses. I'll be back for sure.

I found a slick pair of glasses through the exhaustive efforts of the staff at Galileo! The two saleswomen made me try on about 40 pairs to make me the sexiest version of myself. They helped me whittle away at which styles were most flattering and best fitting. In the end I had about 4 pairs that would suit me and that I really liked. The BLAC frame line was really cool, and helped me look like an architect which was my aim. They spent a great deal of time trying to help me select the most ideal type of NIKON lenses, and to make sure they were correctly fitted. I would heavily recommend them.

Zore, your are the best! I have been dealing with Galileo Optical in Vancouver for over 10 years. I presently reside in a small community in Ontario with limited eye glass frame options. Due to the Covid-19 situation, I was very reluctant to travel to Toronto to purchase a new pair of BLAC eye glass frames. I called Zore, I selected a pair of frames and she was able to bring in a pair of the BLAC frames made of 100% carbon fibre, black on the front side of the frame and orange on the inside of the frame. Very Cool! The frames just arrived two days ago via Canada Post. Zore was very fair on the price and also paid for the shipping. Great Service. I know I will continue to patronize this store in the future.

My husband and I have been going to Galileo Optical for over 16 years now. They are very friendly, and we get consistent and excellent customer service. They have a great selection of quality modern frames as well as classic and timeless frames. When selecting frames, I find they are honest and tactful if the frames do not suit us. I appreciate this because no one wants to waste money on frames that do not suit you. We also like it that they know how to repair or alter eyeglasses to fit more comfortably. Not every optical place is that good at doing this. I have purchased eyeglasses at other places or cities, and they have been more than helpful to assist in a proper fit. They also do direct billing with most plans. We are incredibly grateful that we found Galileo Optical, because our eyeglasses fit us well and always suit us. Carol and Brent

I recently purchased a new pair of glasses from a nearby optical and then fell in love with a pair at Galileo so decided to get both. The nearby optical measured my PDs (distance from nose to centre of eye) slightly differently than Galileo so I had my PDs checked by an optometrist and Galileo's measurements were exactly right. At my request, Galileo checked the measurements in the glasses I had just purchased from the nearby optical and found they were way off anyone's measurements: my PDs are supposed to be 34.5 mm each side and the other optical had filled the glasses 27 mm each side. Galileo called the other optical and suggested they recheck the glasses they had given me. When they did, they were very apologetic and said they had checked the glasses when they had come back from the lab but they had not caught the error. They redid my glasses (although they still haven't done them correctly despite swearing that they have checked and double checked them). At my request, Galileo checked my existing glasses and existing prescription sunglasses (from yet another optical) and the PDs were incorrect in both pairs of glasses by about 3.5 mm in my regular glasses and much more in the prescription sunglasses. Galileo is redoing the lenses in these glasses for me. The manager at Galileo and the staff have all been incredibly supportive and helpful as we have sorted through these issues with my PDs. At this point, frankly, I would hesitate to go anywhere other than Galileo for my glasses. They have won my trust, respect and loyalty. Although friendly and helpful staff is important, the most important thing, in my opinion, is that my glasses are properly made. If you want the job done right, go to Galileo!

This is my go-to store for sunglasses and I have been loyal for years. Zoreh and Sheema are the best and give you personalized attention and truly honest opinions when trying glasses on which is always appreciated. They carry many brands (including Chanel) and will special order anything they can for you if they are a dealer. Don't go anywhere else if you are in the downtown area.

Galileo Optical has warm and professional staff with excellent selection of frames. I have purchased 3 frames over the past few years and customer service has been exceptional each time. Staff at Galileo took their time to provide me with good advice regarding frame fit and lens quality. I never felt pressured or rushed while I browsed and tried every frame in their inventory. I recently needed my lenses replaced. As we’re just emerging from the COVID pandemic lockdown, I called the store and left a message. I had two concerns; first I didn’t want to make two trips downtown to drop off my frames and have to pick them up the following day and second I interact with elderly family members and I wanted to ensure the lenses could be replaced in a safe manner. The owner called me back the same day and immediately ordered my leases which arrived the next day. A specialist met me on site and fit my lenses within 30 minutes. All this was done while observing physical distancing and taking other safety precautions. Well done Galileo team!
