I recently went to the Optic House to get new sunglasses, the service and selection was so great I bought new regular glasses as well. Both pairs were ready in just a few days. They have brand name glasses at reasonable prices and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I have been a customer of the Optic House for many years and they have always been willing to adjust or fix my glasses when needed. Anytime I go there I leave happy. I highly recommend them.

This is our second time using them, our first time was in 2019 and the glasses held up nearly a year and a half! My husband is in construction so can be rough with his frames. He has fixed them himself a few times now so it was time to replace the over-glued ones ???? although we did find out the glasses we had (not the lenses, just the frames) would have been covered under warranty if we didn’t attempt to fix them ourselves! So make sure to check in case it happens to you ☺️ With covid hours and my husband working out of town they offered to let me come and pick out glasses for him! They were the only place that had an appointment next business day, and It took 9 days for them to come in! An amazing turn around time, especially with my husbands specialty lenses! I’m so thankful for all the amazing customer service and helpful staff members. Their prices are amazing, their customer service and turn around time can’t be beat! Don’t waste time calling around, this is the only place you’ll need! They even let me pick them up slightly after closing which I’m, as well as my husband, are very thankful that he can finally be able to see clearly once more! Thank you again!

The prices are very reasonable and comes with a 2 year warranty. You can't get anything better than this local store for your optical needs especially compared to the chain stores.

Friendly staff, good service during the week; exceptional prices (far cheaper than their competitors). Very satisfied with produces and price points. Suggest you go during the week, however. On Saturdays its very busy and there's minimal staff (only one optician and one salesperson when I was there) in the store. Long wait times (very frustrating). Would give it five stars if staffing on the weekend (when it should be better, not worse) was't an issue.

We've been going to the optic house for glasses as a family for over five years now. Their prices, turn around time and costumer service are exceptional. We also enjoy their selection of styles and brands. They're excellent if you have kids whose glasses are always getting beat up too. Re-ajustments are routine and they replace kids glasses that are damaged within the terms of warranty no problem. So helpful!

I bought a pair of Glasses (this my second pair) and the frames with the nose piece didn’t feel Comfortable. When I took them in and asked if it was possible to get another type of frame they were so accommodating. The lady who helped me went over and beyond trying to find the right frame that looked good on me. She helped with my first pair and I am grateful for her help. I have found the Optic House staff very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them. They deserve a five star plus.

I have been a customer for many years, however my last two visits have convinced me to absolutely look elsewhere for my future optic needs. Most of the staff has been courteous and kind. Unfortunately, that does not make up for a few who are simply intolerable at best. As others who have given the Optic House low review ratings have mentioned, these certain employees act dismissive, condescending, and outright rude, for no apparent reason. I'm not going to go into the details of my second last visit while receiving my fourth pair of frameless Silhouettes (and these are not cheap glasses). I chose to discount that uncomfortable experience as a one-off and mostly forgot about it. In retrospect, it should have been a red flag. I don't hold grudges and I don't post bad reviews. I have even recommended the Optic House to few others since, including to my mother. And this was the last bad experience I will tolerate. I have driven my mom to the Optic House to pick up her new glasses, as she is currently experiencing health issues that resulted in two hospital stays in the last month, and is still unwell to function independently. The employee that brought out her new glasses sat my mom down for a fitting as I stood aside. After the first adjustment, I noticed that the glasses still sat on her face in a way that I thought would cause my mom discomfort and suggested an adjustment. It was a simple task of taking the glasses five steps away to a machine that applies heat to the frame's temple and temple tip, causing it to bend the frame exactly as needed. Instead, the employee completely dismissed me, repeatedly said she does not know what I'm asking of her, refused to look at the positioning of the glasses behind my mom's ear, and proceeded to manually bend the part of the frame in front of us, saying 'there, is that what you want?', while acting visibly aggravated and inconvenienced. She even made it a point to look around at other employees seeking some kind of approval from them that she was in the right. She completed the transaction by giving my mom a bottle of eyeglass cleaner, saying thank you as she walked away to the back room, where she kept shaking her head and complaining to the staff and the owner about us. Neither my mom nor I were in any way rude at any point. My mom even apologized for asking for the adjustment at one point; that's how little this employee made us feel. I have stated my displeasure with the treatment to the front desk staff as we were leaving, and unfortunately I feel compelled to do so here as well. We will not be returning, and will advise my family and friends likewise.

Visited the Optical House for the first time this morning. The store offered an incredible selection of brand name, contemporary glasses - it was honestly the best selection I have seen in Brantford, and I would know, as I have visited a fair number of stores this past week looking for that perfect pair of frames. The glasses came in a range prices that would fit my budget. There were plenty of staff and I found them to be warm and knowledgable - they directed me to where I could find the ladies frames, and then left me alone so that I could browse in peace and take my time. When I selected a handful of frames that I liked, the staff gave me an honest appraisal of the look of each frame to help me make that final selection. Thanks so much to the staff at the Optical House. Can't wait to pick up my new glasses tomorrow! (I should note that normally they have same day service on glasses, but I ordered the Blue Light protection on the lenses and that takes an extra day).

I've been a customer of the Optic House for 16 years. My last experience with them was TERRIBLE. I called to inquire about a warranty on my frames. I was told over the phone that they were covered under warranty but, was not given any more information. Nor was I told that the warranty had exceptions. This was my first time dealing with the warranty and in 16 years, I had never been informed of warranty exceptions or policies. I was then told that the frames would be ordered, no questions asked. I went in a few days later to pick up a trial pair of contacts to get me through until my frames came in. At that point, I was wearing my, obviously, taped and broken glasses. No one asked to see them or inspect them. I went to pick up my new frames only to be told by Peter, that they aren't covered by warranty. I explained what had happened over the phone and was then told that it's store policy to inspect all frames before ordering a new pair under warranty. I explained that I had not been told that, nor asked to bring them in for inspection. Peter was extremely rude and refused to see my point of view. After 16 years of going to the Optic House, I will never be going back. The Peter I remember from my childhood was not even close to the man I dealt with recently. He was rude, condescending and dismissive. Despite the fact that HIS staff didn't follow the policy regarding warranties, I was made to pay for the frames.

I read some negative post on here, those who have a bad experience maybe they need to take a look at themselves and how they act, When I was there a week ago I watch a lady be very rude to the lady who was working, the employee smiled and stayed polite. I know this is a service industry but it does not make it okay to talk to the employees that way. Remember you get back what you give out :)
