From my experience with him, he is very intelligent and he explained every detail kindly and slowly so that we’d understand every word. First time I bought my prescription glasses from vision Express, and they gave me the wrong prescription glasses. They told me its only .25 difference in my old and new prescription. I asked them to replace my glasses with proper prescription which I paid for, or what's the point of buying new glasses if the difference is not too big then I would be better off with my old glasses. They told me to try the glasses for few days, if not happy, they will replace it. I went back after few days to request a change, this time it was another employee, and asked me why would they give me old prescription glasses? instead of accepting their mistake, they were counter questioning me, and no apology for their mistake. but later they agreed for replacement glasses. After three days I got called to pickup my new glasses, and I noticed There was only one old prescription lens packed in plastic bag with my new glass. Which made me think as if they changed only one lens not both. I asked the guy to check the power of the prescription to make sure it is correct prescription and both lenses were changed. Then the guy hesitated and said he is not able to check it himself. But assured me that this time prescription is correct. Very Unprofessional. I trusted them and took the glasses anyway, because I needed them. I have paid about $300 for my glass and frame, which I still think were over priced. After some research, I found the frame I bought was discontinued from the maker. Which means these guys don't replenish their stock for years. I felt I have been ripped off for the price I paid. It has been past 2 weeks and I am still not comfortable wearing my new glasses which I bought from them. I am sure there is something wrong with the prescription which they are claiming to be correct. I also found a crack on the edge on one of the lenses after two weeks. This tells alot about quality of their lenses. I ended up buying another set of glasses from different place, because I know nothing will be done to win back customer's trust. I would recommend not to buy glasses or frame from them and waste your hard earned money. Go buy from Costco, instead.

Visited Derry Road W location with my wife and my little newborn baby. The owner or the employe "ASHWINI" if am not wrong, didnt even bother to ask what do I need or if he can be of any help. I asked three-four questions and his replies were as lame as it could be. We waited there looking for some frames and he didnt even bother again to ask if we need any help or what we were looking for. May be he thought that we are there for some freebies lol. Seems like you guys making lot of money eh!! thats why maybe you dont even care. The way you opened your branches like mushrooms, you might have to shut them down with kind of attitude you have. You are because of customers and not vice versa and its a world of mouth and time of cut throat competition and I can already see the reviews you guys are getting. Stop being LIVE ON LOCATION at CENA radio and what not and boasting big about yourself!! Humble advise!!

Recieved a scratch on my scratch resistant coating glasses that I bought from vision Express. When I asked them if the lenses had warranty on them (because they were less then a year old) I was told they don't warranty lenses and that i have to buy new ones from them. A different glasses store told me that they normally warranty lenses for a year. Should have bought my glasses from somewhere else. Also the receptionist girl hung up on me when I told her I'd have to seek assistance some where else. Edit: In response to the reply, the receptionist neglected to tell me this and neither did she give the phone to the optometrist. The scratch on my scratch resistant lenses was shallow as well. Instead she hung up on me when she got annoyed. Horrible customer service.

I along with my family went to Vision Express which is located on 10671 Chinguacousy Rd, Brampton, ON. I had two Groupon Vouchers and went to redeem them. The lady sitting behind the counter was busy whole time on her cell phone and did not pay any attention to the customers. I told her that we want to redeem Groupon Vouchers and her attitude immediately changed and told us that we have to buy prescription lenses from them along with purchase of frame. The deal which they offer on line doesn't match what she was telling us in the store. The price she quoted on the lenses was way higher than other places. I don't recommend this place to any one and please stay away from them. I will never ever go to this place again as I am also in the customer service and knows the importance of that.

worst place ever never seen customer service like this. My story is as follows: It was a rainy night and i was heading home. I receive a call from one of the staff at vision express informing me that my glasses were ready. Since i was in the area at the time i told her that i will be there in 10 minutes. When i got there the door was locked and there was a sign on the door that says BE BACK IN 10 MINUTES. feeling Frustrated i called their phone so that someone would let me in and i could wait inside. But no one answered and i assume they were somewhere outside. So i waited outside in what appeared to be over 10 minutes IN THE RAIN!!!. A staff finally came unlocked the door .she was actually inside all this along ignoring my phone calls. After unlocking the door she just turned away ignoring me standing outside. Sensing a very unfriendly and unwelcome vibe i went in anyways since i had to pick up my glasses that they took them 2 weeks to get!!. I told her my situation about calling 10 minutes ago and coming here to find the door locked. But she ignore my complaint and didn't even offer any apology in return. Never going back here again!!!

We were told that our glasses will be ready in a week. Glasses did come after a week and a half bur were wrong. It did not have the transition lense on it and the frame was scratched up in certain sections. It has now been almost a month and I still do not have the glasses that I ordered. Extremely frustrating experience.

If i could give no stard at all i would . I do not know how these optometrists work but they Gave me the wrong prescription twice. The first time it was terribly wrong. The second time they just wanted to get rid of me and gave me the same prescription i was given 3 years ago by hakim optical. I tried to tell them that i know my vision has changed and that cant be my prescription and they tried to tell me that i am not a doctor to be self prescribing myself . I have suffered severe headaches and many nights of no sleep thanks to them . i would not recommend this optical.

WARNING: They don't work with Sunlife insurance because of an issue with their claims? This is what we were told AFTER we had spent a good deal of time each picking out several pairs of glasses. Instead of informing us of this at the beginning, the sales associate was obviously hoping we would fall in love with the glasses and pay out of pocket anyways. When I asked why they dont work with Sunlife she said she was new and didnt know the details. This place is sketchy and I would advise against filing claims with them. We had our two infant children with us and wasted our afternoon doing this and didnt end up having enough time to go to another store instead. Terrible customer service.

My 6 year old was scheduled to meet with the doctor at 11.40am on Saturday. I was called and asked the previous evening if we could come in earlier and I informed that we could try by 11.30am but 11.40 is when for sure we could come in. We reach at 11.38am. There is another family meeting the doctor at this time. And we are asked to fill in a form in the meantime. At 11.45am we are told that the doctor cannot meet us. Explanation - you did not come in at 11.30am. I do not think that was appropriate or right. A thumbs down Vision Express, at Claire and Gordon. Did you want us to come in early and crowd the store during the pandemic?

Very disappointed with the service. Very very disappointed. Went to get the new prescription glasses and seems like the business was not expecting anyone to walk in at 5:30 pm on Saturday evening. Spent about 8 mins inside, the lady did not even get up from her chair to advice/recommended frames. All she said was 'left ones are 30% off, right ones are 50% off and front ones are $30 off". Common guys I understand you guys close at 6pm but if someone is walking into your store at 5:30pm he or she is serious enough to buy and not just there for window shopping. Advertisements on radios only gets the customers into the store its the service that counts !!! P.S: the current glasses I have were bought from them, my mom's glasses were also brought from them. Not going there again. You guys not just lost me as a customer but my entire family and friends.

Purchased prescription glasses with transition and antiscratch. Just after a year glasses turned yellow. They said this is good quality and expensive material glass even though it turned yellow . They chrged over price but the quality is very poor and cheap. I wouldn't recommend to use their service.

Yesterday visited the place after booking an appointment driving 2 hours to brampton as dealth with them for 4 years but the experience was terrible and pathetic.since we reached there they did not helped us since we were giving them $1000 business, broke my hugo boss sunglasses while adjusting which I bought from them 2 yrs ago without any replacement or apologising.They lost $1000 business for being unprofessional and wont visit them again.

Bought glasses December 18 2018, have been back and forth 6 times because lenses keep falling out. Person behind counter scratched lenses with pliers while adjusting nose peice. Lense had to be reordered and recut 3 times because they kept popping out. Got another frame and have to go back still because lense doesn't fit frame and pops out. They dont care about their customers or about how many times they have to go back and forth because they dont fit lenses properly.

The store was not even open and I was waiting for over 25 mins when a lady arrived to open the door seeming unapologetic about her lateness. Afterwards I was informed that my appointment was scheduled incorrectly and that the eye doctor would not arrive till 12pm. So unprofessional. Would not return

Avoid getting an eye exam at this place. I believe previous reviewers giving this place 5 stars work or have part ownership here. I got an eye exam completed here and my previous prescription completed 3 years ago was 0.75 in each eye. The doctor that works once a week here gave me 0.25 with a stigmatism. My prescription given at Vision Express was so far off I got an instant migraine when putting on my glasses. The employee working there tried to tell me that Costco messed up the eyeglasses that I purchased. They offered to redo my eye exam which I refuse to do as they only have the same eye doctor. Now I am out $80.00 for a new eye exam as they direct billed my benefits. Spend the extra money and go someplace else.

This is my 3rd time ever writing a review. But I felt that I absolutely had to. If you are planning to purchase anything from this store; glasses/contacts/etc literally anything, I would strongly urge you to go elsewhere. I went to them to purchase contact lenses, it was my first time trying them out in Canada. My experience is below in the form of a letter I sent to them: Dear Owner of Vision Express, This email is to provide you with some feedback, and share my experiences at your Chinguacousy/Sandalwood location. I first went to your store in October to purchase contact lenses. I spoke to the female employee working there. She accepted my prescription and suggested that I purchase acuvue contact lenses that are for astigmatism. I agreed to this, and I picked them up that same week, including 5 trial pairs. She instructed me to come back if they were not satisfactory. I returned back, and asked her to take back and refund/exchange my contact lenses to which she said "hold on to them" while we try other options, without the astigmatism. I was then told to hold onto the box, which I kept in the dashboard of my car. She then assisted me in trying about 3-4 different trials, to find the right match for me, which all turned out to be unsatisfactory as I was still not seeing clearly (actually worse with the contacts vs no contacts) This process took about 3 months, and I explained to her that I had business in the states, so I was away for a while, during which time she never once told me that there is a time limit to my return. When I finally told her that nothing has worked, and I would like an exchange/store credit she told me she wasn't sure it would be possible because of how long the process has taken. Which is absolutely ridiculous. It would be really appreciated if you could let your customers know that there is a time limit to the return, and also accept a return when the customer is trying to return something. This was still not the worst part of my experience, when I went to the store yesterday, the rudeness I experienced was unparalleled. She brought out the box that I given to her for a return and a week later told me that I opened a flap on the side of the box, which is untrue. And if that was the case, and it was truly damaged why would she accept it from me in the first place. She then proceeded to argue with me, telling me that it was I who damaged the box, and that she didn't do anything to it, and there is nothing she can do about it. I then told her to keep the product as it was completely useless to me, and maybe it will help someone else, because it clearly will not help me, to this she replied "it is basically garbage for us". She said "it is your fault for taking so long, and leaving the country". In the future I will be informing everyone I know that this is the kind of customer service your stores provide, and will be writing an extensive review to document all the humiliation I had to undergo. This is probably the first time in my life I have ever sent such negative feedback anywhere, you should strongly consider educating/training your employees to at least give proper/adequate information, and not blame the customer for things they have not done, and to not humiliate them. (I've attached email correspondence below, this is the kind of response they are willing to offer. )

After having an eye exam at their clinic, I ended up having to go to an EMERGENCY eye appointment! PLEASE READ this and be an informed consumer. I went in there for an eye exam because they have competitive pricing. When I went in there, I was never asked to fill out a new patient form like any other eye clinic would do to have some of your past medical information like family history etc. I thought the doctor would be asking me that information during my appointment, but that never happened! I had to let the doctor my family history, but it didn't really seemed to matter that much. When conducting my eye exam, it seemed pretty standard until I was asked if the eye doctor could put eye drops in my eyes to enlarge my pupils. I was asked if I had ever gotten them before, I said no, but trusted the doctor. He said that I would be sensitive for a couple of hours maybe 2-3 and that it would go away and my pupils would go back to their regular size. This was done so that he could get an accurate prescription for me. After my appointment, they asked if I wanted to get my glasses there, I said that I was going to think about it since my eyes were very sensitive and I wanted to rest and price check other places. My appointment was at around 5pm and I figured by night my pupils would go back to normal around 8pm. They didn't... I called and they said that I shouldn't be worried. I woke up the next day... they were still dilated! I called their office, the doctor was not in since he only goes there once a week. They told me to go to an eye doctor for an emergency appointment to make sure I was okay. I was lucky that I was able to get in with the eye doctor in the mall who was fantastic! She let me know that my pupils were very dilated, but that I was going to be okay and to come back if they were still dilated the next day. She actually determined the cause which was that the doctor had mixed something while using the drops which caused for the duration of the dilatation to be so long. She also informed me that the prescription given to me by the doctor there had been wrong! I was so mad so I asked for a refund which they denied me since they said that there was nothing wrong with the prescription they had given me and I got the exam done. After all the harm they had caused! And how scared I was that they had done something to my eyes! They fortunately went back to normal eventually that day, although they were still sensitive even after a couple of days. Mostly to light and computers. The doctor at the mall after collecting all of my medical information and learning about my case, did not charge me for the appointment. She called it an emergency due to the circumstances, so I did not have to pay twice for an eye exam. She even re-did my prescription for free. I would definitely recommend their office: Stone Road Eye Care. They were wonderful, professional and saved me from a scare. I am writing this so that it doesn't happen to anyone else. Don't try to save a buck when it comes to your eyes, learn from situations like these and go to a medical professional. Do research! Read Reviews! These people were completely unprofessional and did not care about my eye health in the least, they just cared about the money.
