It also didn't take very long to get the glasses, about 7 days. When I came to get the glasses I got them quickly and easily. 10/10 would recommend coming here to get glasses!????

I found their store through Groupon and decided to give them a try based on their very high rating on google. When I went in I guess I expected a larger store since everyone wrote they have lots of selection. I was disappointed to see they only had 5 small wall sections of mid-range frames, 1 section of sale frames and 1-2 sections of cheap frames. The eye exam was quick and efficient. When I started looking at frames the staff did not really offer much assistance. I was disappointed that their selection of mid-range frames were only available at price points of 149, 199, 249 and were not even name brand frames. The name brand frames were in the range of 500$ just for the frames. Once I picked a pair I asked about blue filter lenses she told me they are another $200+. I was here on a budget and I found this place very expensive. The groupon I had included 150 towards sunglasses as well but they had one small section of sunglass frames all at $200 (not including lenses) and thus made this part of the groupon unusable to me. Previously I went to another optical store (using a groupon) and got coach frames with transitions for much less than what I paid here for non-brand frames. Will not return.

Could never be happier anywhere else. I was able to get an accurate prescription and glasses at the same place. I would prefer to give no stars, as the store have no customer service skills. 0 rating for handling kids prescription glasses request. Avoid going to this store if you want a good quality services for your family. The receptionist told us that the glasses will be ready within 3-4 business days for my daughter but no one care to inform that its not ready for the day decided to pick up. My wife called the store several times and the only excuse was not sure when the lens will be coming from the lab. No follow up with the clients but would wipe out your insurance $$ same day of ordering. That's only a smart part of poor service. Now glasses were received from 1 week of what was decided and picked it up but the worst thing was it was too loose for my daughter and went back to the store. The answer I received was your daughter might made it loose while playing. That's was quite sarcastic as I tried on her and right away put it back in the case to get back for fixing. The lens was so thick that my daughter can't handle the pressure and the frame was bothering her. The lady (I believe, Ritu) told that we were even not aware that the lens would be too thick. So I don't know,how long these guys are in the business. She told me that we can order a new lens and you will need to pay $100 or so on top of that was already paid through my insurance. Such a waste of my time, and money. I would never return to this store and want others not to have that bad experience.

I've been to many different optical retailers, but for service and quality I feel that Akal Optical is the best. There are no high pressure sales tactics, and the employees don't follow you around as you check out the products. The selection of frames is great, and the prices are good. So far, I have had my glasses for about 3 months without any issues. I would definitely buy here again.

The doctor at Conestoga location was very caring. My husband had been experiencing irritation in eyes for a long time. Twice we went to other opticians and they made new glasses but the problem was not solved. It was becoming increasingly difficult for him to see clearly. The doctor here examined and got us an appointment with the eye specialist within three days. It turned out that the problem was severe and if there had been any delay, he could have lost his vision. Being from USA . I just stop at the store and sales people in the store explain all the lenses to me where I finalize the one to be dropped off to my relatives in Brampton. The lenses I found in this store I couldn't even find in USA . I'm so delighted and thankful to this team. After my eye surgery I'm getting these lenses and I got my perfect eye seight. Great experience. My son is on the Autism spectrum and a challenge to assist under the best of circumstances. The optometrist also immediately diagnosed my daughter's double vision after at least 2 other doctors (and an MRI) couldn't. Lastly, when we somehow ordered the wrong frames, they got the correct pair ready amazingly fast. We will definitely come back and would also recommend them to friends

Good collection and doctor was very effecient but the staff was very curt while collecting the glasses , direct contrast from when we were selecting the frames. They give branded frames in their own Akal box when asked if they could give the brand-name box response was "you got it on sale and you can buy it for 50$ if you want it." This was not discussed at the time of selecting the frames.

I have been waiting for contact samples since Dec 16 2019, it is now Feb 10 2020, it took Akal Optical 8 weeks to tell me my samples were in. Ironically, I received this phone call today... which is the same day I posted a negative review. I was very disappointed with the service and went in to see the owner. He was apologetic and acknowledged there was a mix up, I was satisfied with this outcome. But then, a female worker arrived (the owner claims this is his wife) and she immediately retaliated and tried to say there was no mix up, even though her husband admitted it does not take 8 weeks to receive samples. She also said they were on backorder for 1.5 weeks and tried to use this as an excuse to the 8 week wait. After much back and forth, I asked if she could stop talking because she was not going to agree there was an error and things were getting out of hand, she replied “I do not want to talk to you either”. I asked her to apologize because I felt this was very rude and I just wanted to continue my business with the owner, but she would not. I feel very cheated and disappointed that this happened!! It was an unfortunate experience, I hope going forward Akal Optical can learn from this experience and acknowledge how important manners, courtesy, patience, understanding and overall customer service are key to running a successful business.

Very rude behavior of the receptionist. Does not know how to treat the customer and gave me the appointment, when I went there she asked me you cannot walk in if the door is opened. When I asked for the report, she said that without prescription she cannot give me the report. I went to Akal Opticals to get my eye test done. As the owner just commented, it is in fact the correct location. Please don't ask me to delete the review just because I am telling my experience. Thank you.

I strongly recommend going to this location. Customer service was great! The lady there is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions and provide me with a great product that suits my needs. I’m very happy with my new glasses, they feel much lighter and more comfortable than the previous pair I own. I know my eyes are well protected thanks to the high quality lenses. Out of the three locations I went to on my glasses journey, this location is the best one.

If I can rate it as 0 star then I would.... the owner has 0 customer service skills...will never return to their store again...the reason we went to this store is the location since it is very close to our house... After what we experienced here, I would rather drive to a different optical store farther away from our place then to come back to this store. Plus their glasses and sunglasses are very limited in styles and they don't carry good (authentic) brand names especially for children.

Bought 2 pairs of glasses. 1 month later had to ask for a refund because 2 times the glasses came from the lab for pick up with damaged lenses, and on a 3rd time the frame was different color and paint scratched. The store owner was telling me with a straight face that the frames I picked were black instead of white. 450$ glasses. What a piece of xxxx
