These guys will go the extra mile for you. I live in eastern Ontario, but while visiting family in Dundas, I found my way over to Westdale Optical. Sales professionalism was terrific and the variety of frames and lenses are awesome; I've found nothing as stylish and high quality in my city. After several months, the coatings on my very expensive Nikon progressive lenses started to peel. My eye doctor told me to "immediately" get these lenses replaced. The defective lenses were within warranty, but by the time I got them to Westdale Optical who hastily forwarded these to Nikon, it was out of warranty. Nikon stuck to their 12 month warranty policy and rejected fixing them without an outrageous price. Jim Maclean stepped up and replaced my lenses "at his cost." Westdale Optical has earned my business, and I will without hesitation buy from them again.

Due to covid an appointment is needed and all protocols are followed to a tee. So, when I arrived, I was greeted by two wonderful women who provided me with all the information I needed before I even decided to make my purchases. I was dealt with in the most professional manner I have witnessed yet. The customer service was above and beyond, the ambience was unbelievable, everything about the store is perfection. So after everything was done including the measurements and requirements, the doctor came out, and I can't believe how polite and humble he was. Seriously, this store and the great people working there have made my Saturday. Thank You guys. I'm glad I came here. ????

The ladies there were fantastic, personable, and most importantly KNEW WHAT THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT. I have a high bridge of my nose and struggled to find frames that suited me at places like Vision Clinic and Lenscrafters. They suggested so many unique frames that suited my face perfectly. I would leave other places empty handed because I couldn't find anything I really loved; here I left empty handed (for now!) because I couldn't decide right away which ones fit me best. Would definitely recommend, and would definitely go back.

Not a great service. They lost my insurance form and they told me as a matter of fact rather than apologizing. They are a bit pushy I find. But the optician and the optometrist themselves are incredibly nice and accommodating! On my first appointment though, they took forever.

Jim and Stephanie McLean have been making my glasses for about 15 years, and their work stands the test of time. Both the frames and the lenses are customized to my work and leisure needs [I am a dermatologist, so my office glasses, for example, include the ability to focus at a very close distance when I am injecting BOTOX® or Juvederm™]. I get compliments on my glasses all the time, at work and when I am out and about. Jim and Stephanie have been together since high school. What a team! Menschen! Keep up the good work!

Today (Saturday) I lost my glasses at Fortinos and I am leaving on a business trip to the Netherlands in 3 days - thus it was an emergency that I get a replacement pair. I went to Westdale Optical Boutique where I have been a longtime customer and Jenn, James and Breanne took care of me right away. Within 30 minutes I was outfitted with a new pair of excellent frames (which, as it turned out, happened to be deeply discounted). Then in another 30 minutes, James cut and ground a new pair of the highest quality lenses to fit, based on my latest prescription (which they had on file). So, in conclusion, within an hour, I walked out of the boutique with my vision totally corrected and feeling confident and prepared to embrace my journey with all of it's challenges. When I returned home, my wife complimented me on the choice of frames. Where can you get service like this anymore? Thank you Jenn, James and Breanne for your professional and attentive service - much appreciated.

I called just b4 closing and was spoken to as if it was raining cats and dogs! As if the person who answered the phone was bored to tears and hung onto my ear like I lost my dog or a white frign stick or misplaced it omg so decent. If I may suggest some light at the end of the line it would be a Glen Campbell song as I recall. But no its a light at the end of a line and tunnel and her name is "Amanda" is a 1973 song written by Bob McDill and recorded by both Don Williams . Call and Amanda if she talks to you will light up your life. Great job what a star. 5 stars here.

I can count on Westdale Optical to find the perfect frames for me and the quality of their lenses is the best I have ever had. Recently, during the pandemic, I fell and broke my frames. I live out of town. Westdale optical mailed me replacement frames for free ( same style, different colour) until they were able to replace my exact colour of frame. I liked the new frames so much, I chose to buy them instead. I was given a sizeable discount. Fabulous service!

On June 16th 2018 I met with James McLean to help me problems with my contacts. I was unable to see correctly and my vision was blurred. I was actually frightened that I would not be able to wear my contacts. James spent 2 hours with me checking my eyes through machines and finding out which eye was dominant. I was feeling sad and nervous. He fitted me with a new set of contact lens that were amazing. I could see everything in fine & exact detail. It was amazing! He told me to go for a walk and come back in an hour. I was telling everyone that I could see everything. I could see everything. I think people thought I was crazy. My vision is now so good when I am driving I can actually see the expiry date on licence plates. Now that is truly incredible. Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would happen.
