My eyes have been cared for by 2 generations of west coast optical family. I keep coming back because they make me feel welcome, appreciated, even loved. Hence I bring my money, my energy to them as it is reciprocated 10 fold. Even when I moved to the Okanagan, they still shipped my contacts to me and I still ordered from them!!

Excellent service and attention to detail. I've had successful visits to West Coast Optical for my vision needs. I recently was in need of prescription sunglasses but though it might be more affordable to purchase clip-ons for my eyeglasses. West Coast suggested their partnered company, took my eyeglasses that needed the fitting, and had a custom made clip-on within 2 weeks. They also provided spare contacts for me to drive home with since my eyeglasses were needed to be sent in for the fitting of the clip-ons. I am very happy with their services.

We have been buying all our optical needs from these wonderful people for years. Great customer service! May not be the cheapest place in town but certainly some of the best service I’ve ever received. They are worth every extra penny I’ve ever spent there. The staff was incredibly helpful when it came time to fit our 8 year old son with contact lenses for when he plays hockey. Cannot recommend them enough. Last time I went eyeglass shopping I went all over Langley and Surrey to find not even 1 pair that fits my face and looks stylish at the same time. I somehow missed West Coast Optical when I looked last year but this time I came across them, found multiple pairs that I could choose from for my face size, quickly got an exam apt because I put myself on a same day cancellation list, and everything was a great price, and the staff was very friendly and helpful which always makes customers come back! My set was done within a few days and I was so excited to get them! Happy!

I had the best experience with these guys! I went in with a specific item in mind an, adorable pair of Kate Spade frames. Though they didn't have them in stock they were able to locate the exact frame I wanted and ordered them! The frames, with incredible lenses were more than $100 cheaper than a place near by and they arrived earlier than quoted!! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! I am so thankful I found them!

After an extremely terrible experience with ANOTHER optical retailer where my new glasses were not wearable, I was in the position of having to purchase a second pair. This time, I did my due diligence, and spent 2 days going to a total of 8 other optical stores in the lower mainland, one of which was West Coast Optical. From the get go, it was clear in mere minutes that I was in good hands. No optical retailer I had been to could match the knowledge, empathy and sincere desire to help that Stephanie did that day. I have a slightly more involved prescription which took knowledge and understanding to get me into the correct frame and lens. She listened to everything I had been through and the information I had gathered to date and helped me work through it, all the while with no commitment to West Coast Optical. To understand that it was important to me to walk out of West Coast without a purchase that day so that I could think things over before making another investment, was a true sign of exceptional customer service, the desire to help and not force sales. I returned to West Coast a couple of more times, again only to have a discussion. Once more, exceptional service, no pressure. On one of those visits, I was introduced to Andrew, who only furthered my overall trust in West Coast Optical. There was nothing but genuine interest in helping me. This in my opinion, aside from knowing your business and providing a quality product, is how you earn customers, something that is sadly very difficult to find these days. I went ahead without hesitation and purchased a new set of frames and lenses from West Coast Optical. The end result when my new glasses arrived….SPECTACULAR. I have a higher plus power and the lenses I had previously purchased from the other retailer were unacceptably thick and aesthetically a joke. As promised by Andrew and Stephanie, my new glasses are not even in the same ball park, ZERO comparison. For someone who has a higher plus power prescription, the thickness of the lens matters. My new glasses, specifically the lenses with my prescription are, without question, incredibly thin and the absolute best available today. For that and all their genuine help, I thank West Coast Optical and will continue to have all my optical needs serviced by them. I can, without hesitation, recommend West Coast Optical.

I have been going to West Coast Optical for sine I moved to BC 20 years ago. They have always been helpful and accommodating every time I’ve been there. I have dropped by to have repairs done like lost screws etc and they have always done these things for me free of charge and they that that opportunity to check everything, like replacing the nose pads. They are one of the friendliest places around, sort of like that treat you like family.

Every time I've entered West Coast Optical, I've felt welcomed, invited and cared for. All of the front retail staff are simply wonderful. I appreciate the knowledge and honesty that the ladies provided me. The Optometrist Dr. Wong was lovely and made me feel very comfortable and answered all of my questions. I was looking around at other lens providers for approximately 6 months before I found West Coast Optical. I heard everything from "that'll be too expensive" to "those make your eyes look droopy" (and I'm serious.) Feeling frustrated, a friend recommended that I try West Coast and I am SO thankful that I did!

She asked a few questions and asked if she could call me back after confirming with the Dr. that they could help my brother. Within 20 mins she called and set up an appointment for us that afternoon. Upon arriving at the store, you could tell just as you walked in the personal, caring attitude the staff had. My brother had glasses within 28 hrs . I've been going here since I was a kid! I've gotten all of my glasses (3 pairs in 15 (ish) years) and they've been so amazing. (Although my first pair is pretty much identical to Harry Potter glasses, all the rage at the time apparently, haha) The staff here is like family, every time I come in they are so sweet, and absolutely love when I bring my 5 month old daughter in. I purchased 2 pairs of glasses from West Coast Optical just before COVID hit. It didn’t seem possible to go in to make some adjustments at that time so I let it slip. After the first wave of COVID, I contacted them to make changes to the lenses and although the warranty was expired, they told me that because of COVID, they were extending it. They got on my requests right away and got my first pair much better. Soon after, I dropped them on concrete and damaged them but I also wanted to make yet another change to the lenses. They contacted me to let me know that they would look after it all. Today, I got them back again and they are perfect. The staff has been far more than accommodating, friendly, helpful and courteous. I know I am a difficult customer to satisfy, but they went far above and beyond my expectations. Everyone is genuinely kind and personable. Dr Wong is a great optometrist. She is knowledgeable in her craft and she explains everything in great detail which is always appreciated. I can't say enough good things about this place! My favourite thing about West Coast Optical is that they will order in almost any frame for you. I like to try on glasses at the big box stores and just pop back into West Coast and tell them which ones I liked - they always come back with a better price. They even did a custom gradiation on sunglasses I ordered... seriously, they are so willing to make you happy with whatever your requests are. Recently, I decided to try out contacts. Caring employees always attentive. Last time I had to check out my new lenses because I was having trouble seeing. One of the girls at West Coast Optical checked my glasses and told me I should try to wear them through the weekend, that my eyes needed to adjust to the stronger lenses that I now have. If after the weekend nothing changes then I would have to return to the optometrist and recheck my eyes. A little sceptical, I went home and within minutes my eyes adjusted. I was so relieved that what she said was true and I could carry on with every day life. The employees have a lot of knowledge and experience and I feel they do care.

My Wife and I went into West Coast Optical about a month or so ago. It was time to update our vision wear as we are aging and seeing things in focus is way cool. We called up and made an appointment for the full meal deal (eye test ...etc). When we walked through the door, we were greeted by very friendly staff as well as the owner. Everything went great! Smooth as silk. Eye test ✅ Stigmatism in both eyes now ✅???? It took about a week for our glasses to come in. We went for the test viewing. My wife’s were 100% She was very happy with the prescription. Did I mention I am a descendent of Murphy?Not really but you would think. Usually everything I touch or do has a problem attached. And yup, the glasses were off. I don’t like to complain about most things that are trivial but glasses are worthy. With the new lenses, I was seeing lines on objects that were not there, hard to explain but just not right. Well , no problem whatsoever! The staff was more than happy to get it right. The doctor re examined me and rechecked the prescription. It was the same, maybe a tiny bit different but only in one eye. They made another set of lenses from a different manufacturer. 100% right????. I can see again. The “reviews” on line , are the reason we started here. We have been to several different optical stores. Some with multiple offers and some with names with only one syllable. None have had the quality of service and the follow through like West Coast Optical. I know now where to go without hesitation. I will recommend them to all my friends who are requiring specs.
