I switched from my provider back home to Super Optical because they have great service, good deals & stylish frames/sunglasses! The staff are very knowledgable and friendly, willing to put in their best effort to get you exactly what you need. The optician who adjusted my glasses paid close attention to detail & I also had a good experience at my eye exam with Doctor Ho. They give you the best bang for your buck & have quick service. Highly recommend! :)

Horrible. I went there early and the guy was upset cause I was 20 minutes in advance (even though I was willing to wait for my turn). After that someone else arrived and also had an appointment for the same time as me. He was sleeping when I got there! I had to wake him up. Unprofessional. Rushed. Tried to upsell me. Reception is rude. Place is hard to find. Avoid at all cost.

I have had a great experience with super optical! They have a large selection of quality frames with great prices. The staff is knowledgeable and kind, willing to go the extra mile to help you. In addition to the glasses I purchased, I additionally got contact lenses. After having some issues with them, the staff was able to help me and now I am able to wear them perfectly! They even continued to check in periodically to ensure things were going well. I’ve also never had good luck with glasses and unfortunately for me, my glasses broke during the COVID pandemic. When I called and let them know what happened, they were quick to allow me to drop off my glasses and were able to sort something out for me and have me leaving with a new pair the same day! Thank you super optical!

I have been using their services for the last ten years. I have never felt the need to go anyplace else. The customer service is beyond friendly. There is an optometrist's office inside so you don't have to worry about getting your eyes checked elsewhere. Earlier, when I was a student, they accepted all sort of benefit plans without any hassles. I would definitely continue to go there for hassle free experience from competent people who treat me as a friend.

This store is very greedy and dishonest. I dont recommend to shop here. Think carefuly before you enter. I have a pair of glasses with frame easily broken. As the lens are fine, I bought the same frame online but need to put the lens on the new frame. This only costed a few minutes. The owner charged me $25 + Tax=$28.5 for this service, which equals to about $342/hour! Even a lawyer will not charge this much! She told me even if I bought the frame from this store, she would still charge $20+tax. If I have the tool I can do it myself honestly and she dared to charge so much! On the phone before I went to the store, she told me it would only cost $13-15. Further more, during the a few minutes I was in the store, she kept promoting the produts in her store. If I was not in a rush that day, I would just went to another store. An oppsite example: because the frame has some design issues, it was broken before. I went to a store in Guelp to put the lens on and they charged me nothing because it was just a few minutes work.

I have been coming here since I was 15 or 16. I am now in my 30s. Over the years they have had two wonderful front staff who are always so tentative, comforting and honest. They treat you so personable and you can easily lose time just chatting. Wide selection and variety of frames, offer many discounts for students. Will always recommend and keep coming back as long as they're open.

Dr. Bob tested my eyes in 3 minutes and the lady convinced me to buy glasses in 2 minutes. 5 minutes that's it! I waited a bit long for coffee and bus LOL.

NOT recommended!! My eye exam was not thorough, took only about 2 mins (I have worn glasses for more than 20yrs and this was unbelievable). He tested my 5yo as well , who has never worn glasses, and gave the prescription within a few minutes. Such a rush! He do not care if the eye drop is causing irritation or not, he didn’t even ask or advice of the effects before putting it on my 5yo. Not professional at all. I have decided to redo the eye exams with a different provider!

General Box

Good prices, but... 1) Didn't mount the lenses properly (the lenses were not flush with the outside of the frames) 2) Over-sanded the edges of the lenses, which gives the lenses a big white border 3) Bought $400 titanium frames. The finish started to peel a year later. 4) Bought the high index lenses with scratch coating and anti-reflection. 1.5 years later, they look like an old pair of mine that are 7 years old. The coatings are coming off making it difficult to see things clearly. I have to move my head around just to see things in focus (so that my eye avoid the blotchy parts of the lenses). Cheap? Yes. But then you get what you pay for. I have never had to replace a pair of glasses in less than 4 or 5 years, but this pair didn't even last 2 years. Terrible.

the eye exam I had here was not what I was expecting. I have been wearing glasses and contacts for over 15 years and I know what it is like to get my eyes examined right? The optometrist that examined me was not very open to my ideas and did not want to listen to my personal experience with contacts. She simply decided on the prescription without listening to my opinion! Not worth what I paid for.
