I have never submitted any reviews in my life. But this one forced me to do. Not a single person in the store was professional. Except one girl who did payment. My appointment was 10.45 doctor came 10 mins late. Before even starting an eye exam a young lady started selling glasses to me without even prescription. Doctor took max to max 10 min for the full exam. And yeah one more thing they were commenting over a little mask????. That i should bought my own mask. Something like that. And after the exam i was forced to purchase the glasses. I literally had to make some excuse and get out of there. I mean whats going on. I had an eye appointment in Brampton 2 years ago. And trust me that was the best experience. This one I would give 0 if I can. BIG NO.......!!!!

This is the second pair that I've got from this store and through all the years, the people working there were always willing to help any way they can. I will definitely go there a third time when my eye grow weeker and I need a new perscription.

Service is lacking. Ordered a pair of custom prescription Oakley sunglasses and it took six weeks to get them. Had to be sent back three times to get the tint even close to what it should have been. Communication throughout was inadequate. They made up for it with a free pair of their in-house brand eyeglasses which was a nice gesture. Another pair of eyeglasses had a warranty issue with the frame. Now more than two weeks later and they still don’t have an answer for me. Again, communication and customer service could be much better.

The staff at Medical Centre Optical are very helpful and friendly. They were flexible with pricing and helped me find a pair of glasses that suited my budget and that looked good, and also made new lens for a frame I already had. The ability to create lens in store is game-changing; I walked out of the store equipped with a frame I already had that was updated with my new prescription and a backup pair of glasses. This location is perfect for anyone who needs new glasses quick, and is great for the student budget. The staff is phenomenal, too!

Rude condescending staff, VERY pushy. I feel bad for elderly people who may go here as the staff are very persuasive and I feel they may be taken advantage of like I was. a store manager commented on my Facebook page posting my personal information for the world to see, then deleted it once she realized she was in the wrong. They Over charged me for cheap plastic lenses. Was told I was out of luck when I asked if they could be fixed. Pushy rude staff. Did not give me my prescription with my receipt and when I went to pick it up they gave me a hard time saying it was “lost” then after producing said prescription they told me that it wouldn’t work anywhere else because that wasn’t my actual prescription.. although it was infact my prescription and would work fine anywhere else they were just trying to push me into another sale.

Booking an appointment was quite easy. You don’t have to worry about the frames because they are very affordable. The staff were really accommodating. They took their time in helping out and even when I felt I was taking too long in the store, I didn’t feel rushed by any of the staff. I’ll recommend this optical centre any day anytime.

NOPE!! I don't know if it is common in Canada or what but the doctor (eye examiner) wasn't treating me in a good way. I ask some related question because I never had glass before (I was curious and confused) and most of time she even don't responded back. She was behaving like she is doing it for free or forcefully. Also one of the salesman (probably he was manager) was forcing to buy a glasses like car salesman. He was totally manipulating like he is going to LA next week so buy it now or never for this deal. Both same things happened with my friend and that's why I decided to review. If you know any better Optical store, you better stay away from this store. Thanks.

Amazing service! I have been going to Medical Centre Optical for over 10 years now and have stopped wasting my time going elsewhere. David and his team know how to properly fit glasses for different face and eye shapes to flatter you. I don't normally feel confident in glasses, however now I feel that my stylish and high end glasses are an accent to every outfit. The prices for designer glasses are very competitively priced and they even have a wide range of designer sunglasses. I HIGHLY recommend Medical Centre Optical!

Compassionate and helpful service!! I returned after a year of enjoying my glasses to have them adjusted because they were sliding off my face constantly (I take pretty good care of my glasses, but I have a bad habit of taking them off in a way that affects how the arms sit). First adjustment was a little off and affected how the lenses worked but I had to leave quickly to pick up catfood. Unexpectedly, this change triggered my anxiety pretty bad. When I returned to ask for them to readjust them, I was having a lot of trouble describing the problem because of my anxiety. The person I spoke with, however, was patient with me and did not lose their cool. They readjusted the frames so that the lenses sat the way they used to and fixed the arms so that they still did not fall off. Awesome service!! Thank you again!

The place has same owner for next door sunglasses stop They have zero after sales customer service. You walk in need help everyone explains that the are not incharged and needed to speak with owner. The owner hardly there. They give me a time and a day, I go there, they say come after 6pm. As he changed his time. What a waist of time!! I bought Burberry sunglasses within 4 months had a damage (paint woren off) They want me to pay $175 to order replacement. It’s clearly a manufacturing defect. The owner will not even contact me back. I waited over 30min no one look at me, just knowing I have product issue. BUYERS BE AWARE!!!!!!!!!!!

My insurance company needs to have the cost billed to them directly and the Medical Optical Centre had no problem catering to my needs. ***BEST PLACE TO GET YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS AND GLASSES*** Needed new glasses. The eye exam included usual tests and eye pressure test. The nice eye doctor lady also proactively refered me to a specialist regarding one of my eye to see if the retina is fine. I got my glasses in one day. No pressure for the staff to get specific glasses or options. I recommend this place if you need new glasses. You will be 200% satisfied.

My experience at medical center optical was one to remember, I went in about 3 weeks ago to take a look at some glasses... Being younger and doing this on my own for the first time I was a little skeptical if I would get the best deal or if I would be taken advantage of, so I made sure I did my due diligence by going into the store, doing a fair amount of research online and finally selecting a pair of glasses that I knew I wouldn't be upset with, I let the woman know I was looking to purchase within the next month but was waiting on some insurance money to come in that I could use for the cost of my frames and lenses... She was very receptive to this idea and welcomed me back anytime. I returned two weeks later to take a look at the same pair of glasses, make sure they were still in store, and speak with somebody about pricing. I spoke with a nice lady again, a different employee this time, and she was very helpful in finding me a great place for my frames and lenses... She asked me what my price range was and she made sure that I was getting that price taxes included, I ended up with a whopping total savings of $137 which made all the difference to me! AGAIN I wasn't able to purchase on that date and she was more than receptive to write out the deal she was prepared to give me on a sticky note so when I did return I was able to purchase the glasses that I wanted at the price range that I was able to afford, she got me my Ray-Bans and I'm very happy! After I did finally pay for them TODAY they were ready in less than an hour, I'm wearing them right now, I've got to stay the same day pick-up really had me excited and I can finally see proudly knowing that I look beautiful as well! Thank you medical center optical! I will be back and recommending you to all of my St Catherines friends and family!

I went to this shop to inquire about putting new high index lenses that were frameless in my own glasses. I went here as Pearle Optical in Limeridge said they do not do four points frameless frames. I was thrilled to be able to continue to use my own glasses with a new prescription. The manager and staff were very helpful and I would highly recommend.

Be aware that in order to get an eye exam here you must purchase glasses from them. The cost of the eye exam goes toward the price of glasses purchased from them; so if you are simply looking for a doctor to perform a new eye exam for you, to update your prescription, this is not the place to go.

Worst experience we had! Didn’t feel comfortable or friendly AT ALL!!! PUSHY employees, asked several times to give us the prescription from the eye exam, and they would resist doing it and they didn’t give the prescription until we decided on a pair of glasses, and at the end I was just able to take a picture of the prescription after I paid for the glasses! DEFINITELY won’t recommend this place!

I’m very thankful for the owner David as well as his staff who helped me pick out my glasses. My BvIgari glasses were ready in minutes. I got two pairs and David was great at working within your insurance budget and explaining the lenses you need for your eyes. I went to another optical store where I bought designer Chloe glasses and for some reason I felt like my perscription has gotten better so maybe that’s why my glasses weren’t clear for me? Having brought my glasses to David to see, he realized my previous glasses were not lensed properly and the other optical store probably wanted to save money by using stock lenses. The glasses I bought from David, The Medical Centre Optical was great! For the same perscription I felt like this pair I can see so much better! Thanks David and Medical Centre Optical!

I actually want to put a zero star for their services. The price is super high and the service sucks. I bought a pair of glasses for 498 bucks (it was originally 998) and the quality is bad. The frame become deformed after one-month usage. I asked them to fix the deformation, they were just being really nice face-to-face, but didn't fix anything. So I told my boyfriend, he fixed the deformation with his hands in 2 minutes.

From being told they have the lenses instock to make my glasses and walking into the back..... FOURTEEN MINUTES!!! FOURTEEN MINUTES until my glasses were done!!! And i don't have a generic easy prescription. I've been for contact lense fittings that took longer than this. Unreal, incredible. Impressed? Hell yeah. Someone tells you they've had quicker, they're lying. The staff? Exceptionally friendly. The owner? Awesome and outgoing. Seriously. You'd do yourself a huge disservice to go anywhere else.

Went in to find glasses told the lady working what style I wanted and she pretty much showed me the opposite. Price was really high but I felt I needed glasses asap so I bought. Were ready really quickly and was pleased with them until the next day. I've never had such a hard time with any other glasses in 20 years until these ones. They get so easily dirty and don't clean properly no matter what wipes and cleaner I use . The one they gave me was terrible. Distractions For Pain

In the 20 years that I have used glasses I have never been lied to about the lens on my face but at this store that is how the staff is trained to treat Odsp and ow receivers. I came into their store to get a new pair of glasses with the darkest transitions lenses. I was told it would be 10 days but there would be a rush put on them. A few days later my glasses were ready...... or so I thought. The lady told me it would take 2 weeks to fully darken. I said sounds odd, but ok. Almost a week later and 4 other optical places aside from the internet. There's something wrong with the lenses, and no one has ever heard of a 2 week darken time. Then the staff told me that Odsp does not pay for the darkest transitions that it will be an extra 100 dollars on top of Odsp covers( this is a lie Odsp covers your eyes even if you have a severe stigmatism) I was told by the staff come back in a week and we will have new lenses for your glasses. Another week later and I get my glasses back bent still not the darkest transitions that are made and told to bad do not come back. So buyer's be where. If you go to this company be prepared to be lied to and pay for the privilege of waiting for them. If you are on Odsp or ow dear clear of this place and go somewhere where you will get what your Rx says not what they want to sell you. I got screwed don't be th next one. I have to live with glasses that hurt my eyes for the next 3 years. Don't let it happen to you.""""""""update""""""". The store owner was very nice taking the time to speak with me and fix my problem. I would really like to say thank you very much for taking care of your customers and I would recommend this company.

Worst optical store ever if your thinking about walking in this store run away they are a joke do yourself a favour and walk away . They took all the money out of my benefits and credited it to there store. Don't be fooled the lady I talked to is a lier and a thief . i went here to get my glasses for the first time ever , i have never worn glasses before . so i decided to go here it’s close to home it’s in the mall and very convenient for me to get to , well i went in there with not knowing i had full 100% vision coverage i thought i had to pay a little something and i was totally fine with that , everything was wonderful till we had asked her what our coverage was like for vision we signed the forms she asked us to so she can check into it . so couple mins go by the lady comes back and says we have absolutely no coverage and we were shocked , so naturally knowing i need them now i just pay for them anyways because they are needed , well she tried soaking me for 400$ and i stood my ground and said no i can’t afford that and she knocked it down to 250 still can’t really do that but i do it anyways . well come to find out we have 100% coverage with a 25$ deductable and i didn’t have to pay for anything besides the eye exam , i will never go back to this place again i don’t recommend it to any one this is not no oh i’m just saying it because i’m mad this is so beyond true and i just hope someone reads this before making the mistake i did and now fighting to get my money back

Bought Rx Protective Eyewear The OWNER Himself Swindled me $100.... Glasses that were $100 cheaper and he mentioned there was ANTI GLARE... Guess what... When I drive with the glasses... My eyes are poked with the glare from headlights.. Unlike when I wear my personal Eyeglassses! Also do not believe the price they tell you... Better to go Dundurn Area.... They don't show prices... I had to sneak a photo of my own prescription and just now when I called to ask for my PD, the woman refused to give it to me saying no optometrist gives this information out. I know this is incorrect because previous offices have provided this information to me. I do not recommend coming here if you wish to know your own prescription yourself. I rated 1 star only because the lady who scheduled my eye test appointment was nice and sweet. The guy who took my case today was rude when he spoke to me. I understand that an Asian-fit frame would be a better choice for me. I would feel more comfortable if he used his manners in that conversation. When I said "I am not comfortable with the way you talk", the guy just walked away and took another client. No one else came over to provide service to me. That was an extremely bad experience which was a wasting of my time and ruined the rest of my day. I would never recommend this place.

My first experience getting glasses was a very pleasant one. Totally unsure of the process and what would look good the staff at Medical Center Optical were very helpful and made me feel very at ease. I chose lens that were suggested from staff instead of ones I thought would look good, and I am glad I left the decision in capable hands. And to my surprise the frames they chose were CHEAPER than the ones I had picked. This tells me that the staff was more concerned to make the customer happy than to make a higher sale. The store was very organized and had quite a selection to choose from. It was clean and the staff friendly and willing to answer questions to ease my concerns. My wife and I will definitely be return customers.

Excellent place. Two other optical places told me that they could not extract a prescription off an existing pair of glasses and that they needed a written prescription. This place has a $20,000 device that will extract a prescription perfectly and make you a new pair of glasses. I got served by the owner himself who laid out all of the costs and we worked out a deal. I got my new frames in 2 days and got a hardbound case included for each of my 2 new pairs. Highly recommended and the staff was very friendly in helping me select a new frame upon my initial visit.

I had an excellent experience with Medical Centre Optical. I've been wearing glasses for 20 years so have a lifetime of knowledge when it comes to buying new glasses. I purchased the WagJag coupon for the store (NOTE: the coupon can only be used with the higher quality lenses) which was a bonus. I expected to pay about $300-400 per glasses and ended up paying $350 per pair (I bought two) which I thought was a happy medium. The staff worked with me to achieve the budget and look that I wanted. The girl (can't recall her name) who helps with picking out frames was very helpful and actually chose one of my new frames. The lenses are high quality. I can tell that they are going to last a long time. I would definitely shop there again. They were very speedy with my order--I purchased the pair in the afternoon and they were ready the next morning. Everyone I work with loves the frames I chose :)

She’s really good at picking out flattering frames for every individual & budget. No fault of hers as in spite of my low income, the pair I wore to the place were rundown 7-y.o. Pradas my mother bought me as a 30th birthday milestone gift. Anyway, I eventually picked out two decent frames & got a stellar deal with a tiny bit of negotiation. The owner & his staff are all superb. I very seldom walk out of a place knowing I am not going back because of poor service and I have to say that I am a very easy going person and it usually takes a fair amount to get under my skin. I had an eye exam today and was looking around at frames afterwards. The woman who helped me look for frames and find something in the style I liked was extremely helpful and kind and patient as I was really not sure what I wanted. I would rate my experience with her 5/5 stars hands down. I did find that the owner was very pushy. As I was being served by the woman, he kept interjecting and trying to make deals or offer opinions. I felt like I was not being listened to and like I was being rushed into making a decision. I was literally asked "What will it take for you to say yes to these frames?". I was very clear in saying that I needed to discuss the whole thing with my husband and I did not want to commit to anything right away. He just kept pushing which is a shame because I probably would have bought those glasses but now I won't be back in.

Zero stars. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They sold me glasses with defective frames and insisted that 'Someone' had to pay for them to be repaired. Since ODSP initially paid for my glasses they wanted ODSP to pay for the repairs even though they were willing to admit the frames were defective. If you are wealthy they treat you well and if you are poor they treat you poorly. Nothing new there!

I called Medical Centre Optical to inquire about a model number of glasses that they carry. I initially left a voice message during their hours and was never called back. I called again a few days later and the lady on the phone was incredibly rude. I asked if I can describe the frames (brand, colour, texture - it's a unique frame so not difficult to find at all). She wouldn't even try. Simply said "Nope, I cantc do that". After I gave up and said okay. She hung up the phone. I was planning on taking my prescription there once I confirmed the price of the frames but that definitely will not be happening anymore.

So then after my eye appointment I decided to buy glasses from them and to mention staffs were very helpful to find me a perfect eyeglass. I had calculated 100$ discount+Refund of my eye testing fee+my insurance. But then during billing process i was told that I can only avail either 100$ Coupon or eye testing fee. And then Prescribes you lenses that are less than 1/3 of your reading requirements. Saying your vision has improved. Not likely!! I can’t read without 2.5 readers. And in my multifocals she prescribed my readers to be 0.75. When I questioned the clerk about this. Her response, “different doctors do things differently” ....?!?!?! I told the dr many times during the eye exam that the vision was better but NOT clear. I NEVER had lenses put in front of my eyes DURING the exam that gave me perfect or near perfect vision let alone quality vision. So how can a prescription be made for me if I couldn’t see clearly through the exam?? Save yourself some time, $ and your eyeballs. Go to a real eye doctor. Never again. This place will overcharge your as well for your glasses and lenses. Just because it’s convenient. Does NOT make it a good place to go to. Ps I have taken a screen shot of the owner, David, calling the business across the hall, Primrose, strategic liars to gain business. What owner does this? As a first timer wearing progressive lenses, I must say I was a little apprehensive. First of all if you are thinking of going there because they have the cheapest eye exams in the city DON'T. As the saying goes you get what you pay for. I went there because a friend said that it was good, so I did. While having the eye exam, the optometrist was asking which lense was better. I replied that they were the same and I could not see a difference. Her rude reply was "yes, they are different", she told me to turn the dial until it was clear, walked to the other side of the room and wrote my prescription when I told her where it was the clearest. Besides doing half of the eye exam myself, I did not want to buy glasses only contacts. Yes you can get a pair of frames for $200 but they talk you into a package of like $350, so now a simple pair of glasses cost over $600 (frames are not even a brand name). I decided to go with a 6 month supply of contact lenses which was $180, not too bad. I tried them out the next day and could not see a thing. It was so blurry. I am now out $240, and have to go to another optometrist for a second opinion because they only have one optometrist there. Now I will be out at least $90 for another eye exam not to mention contact lenses or glasses on top of that, thinking around at least another $200. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!!

I had an eye appointment here a few months ago and was quite underwhelmed by the entire experience. I've been wearing glasses since I was a child and I didn't receive a full eye exam. In the past I've had my pupils dilated and examined, but my total eye health was not checked here. The optometrist only checked to see if my prescription changed. Also, the optometrist seemed indifferent about doing the exam. It felt like the purpose of the exam was to sell me glasses, not to check the health of my eyes. It was cheaper compared to most places, but I was expecting a full eye exam.

I recently went to Medical Centre Optical and I had an experience that I would like to share with anyone thinking of getting glasses. Where shall I start, well first of all the first thing I noticed was the store itself is very clean and well organised. After I made it inside the store I realized the staff were not only polite, they were extremely helpful. It had been years since my last eye exam and they recommended that before I got new frames it would be beneficial to have and eye test. The doctor was very knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions. The staff were patient while I browsed for the perfect set of frames, and added input when necessary. Although the store was busy, the staff managed to service everyone. It will be a while before I need glasses again. The owner has clearly pointed out in his responses that "losing and messing up customer files" seems to be a trend at Medical Centre Optical. The employees were nice and helpful to me but I agree 100% with the other reviewers about the Optometrist being rude and the owner being relentless on making a sale/deal. My contacts took much longer than they said, I had to contact them multiple times, they kept my prescription when I bought the contacts and when I returned to pick them up "couldn't find me in their files'. They said it wouldn't be entered yet and to call back in a few months. I called and spoke with the owner months later who said he would rectify the situation which did not happen. I was tired of dealing with this place and forced to go for a second eye test elsewhere in the same year to get glasses. That Optometrist told me not to wear the contacts they sold me because they were making my eyes peel after two weeks of sporadic wear. Overall not a good experience whatsoever.

April 29 2015 To Whom It May Concern: Very Unhappy Senior Customer I am a senior and visited the Medical Centre Jackson Square I paid cash of $600.00 for glasses which I did like but my daughter thought were big for my face shape. I went back to the Medical Centre and they stated that if the glasses do not work we will replace them for free. I was happy they offered this service and picked out a pair which suited my face more. The staff person said there would be a charge of $24.00 to put the new glass lens. No problem... When I picked up my new glasses I loved the style on me and was happy. I also purchased sun glasses for $200.00 and had no problem with them. A few days passed and I noticed I could not read the paper with the new glasses and thought I needed time to adjust. I then noticed I could read the newspaper with the sun glasses but not the new everyday glasses so I returned to the Medical Centre Optical at Jackson Square. I told the staff my problem and they said the prescription was correct and they could not help me. I now have a pair of $600.00 glasses that I am unable to read with. I do not know why they do not work but alas they are of no use to me as I cant read with them. I will never recommend the Medical Centre Optical to anyone because of my experience. When I first purchased the glasses the owner assured me that they would do everything to satisfy the customer. I only wanted to be able to read with the glasses I spent $600. dollars on. As I said I am a senior and that is a lot of money for me to spend on glasses that do not work. I feel I have been taken advantage of in this situation and feel cheated by this Medical Centre Optical at Jackson Square update My daughter called the medical centre and talked with the staff about my problem with the glasses.. We bought glasses from here 8 months ago. They never seemed right. I took mine back to be fixed and they told me they were fine, that it was in my head. I ended up taking my mom's glasses with her prescription (their doctor did both our eye exams) to another optical place. The other optician came back a few minutes later to tell us that the prescription their doctor had given us didn't match the glasses they'd made to match it. He plainly told us her vision had likely been pretty distorted for the full 8 months. All this and I had the pleasure of paying over $1200 for glasses that were blatantly incorrect. Steer clear of this place. The staff is nice enough but they're utterly incompetent and don't stand by what they sell.

This place is fantastic! I am so glad I stumbled upon this place as I was walking through Jackson Square. I am skeptical when it comes to glasses stores, but this place blew me always with the variety of glasses, the price, quality of lenses, and most of all the customer service. Frames there do feel cheap though. David, the owner, has been the BEST person I have ever dealt with for glasses in my entire 24 years of living (and I have been to many glasses stores.) He really knows his stuff and will give you his honest opinion, and will tell you if the glasses don't look good on you. If you're having trouble he will go to great lengths to figure out the problem and do his best to accommodate you.

I have went there a month or two ago, did come there because of a Wag Jag deal I had, unsure of the name of the employee but she was utterly amazing, even when I did come back thinking something was wrong with my prescription (which was given to me by my regular optometrist, not them), she helped me out. She assisted very well. The only thing I could say that can be corrected and watched is the pushiness of the owner. He was VERY pushy - when I went there to get my glasses they turned from $150-$200 which I usually pay for, to $600 - including the Wag Jag deal, my husband's work coverage and cash of my own. He stressed me that first day to the point that I felt like crying and got a huge headache cause he kept advising me to take this expensive package which "has everything". And what I REALLY did not like was second time when I came to the store thinking something is wrong with my prescription HE looked at me like he didn't even know me, it's like...Oh until we get you as a customer I will act as your best friend, but soon as I get your money I am done with you. His employees on the other hand are amazing, him as the owner, lacks in service, customer experience knowledge, and needs to keep in mind that not everything is about money or day to day acquiring of sales. Again - all best for employees - pretty bad for the owner, who should know better.

A lovely young girl named Siana was extremely helpful and took her time with me while I chose the perfect frames and the prices are very good. I used to purchase in Brantford for the same brand names and paid far more. I was able to purchase my prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses for over 150.00 less than my eye centre in Brantford. I highly recommend Medical Center Optical and will be a repeat customer.

I work in the office building across the street from Medical Center Optical in Jackson Square. While on my lunch break I went to the store, as one of the screws from my glasses had fallen out and got lost. I asked one the staff members if they had a replacement screw for this so I could repair my glasses. The reply received was, yes we have the screw and it will cost $5. I mentioned that I didn't require them to put the screw in, simply provide the part. "Unfortunately that's the store policy as these weren't purchased here" was the reply. One final attempt from myself to explain that I wasn't suggesting that they were and I was in the market for new glasses. I also raised the concern that a $5 charge for a screw that likely costs a couple of pennies or less, seemed very unreasonable to which I was reminded that is "store policy". I walked out disappointed and frustrated and now took the time to share this poor experience. In a marketplace that is so competitive, one would think customer service would be better. Businesses will spend thousands of dollars to attract new customers and will loose the ones at their front door for pennies. Guess where I will not be looking for glasses in the future!

This is the only place I’ll be going from now on. Not only did they use my frames without charging extra (other places charge extra for that), but they cut the lenses on-site, so I wasn’t stuck without glasses for however many weeks. David was extremely friendly (as was the rest of the staff with whom I interacted) and explained everything regarding my lenses very clearly and professionally. The prices were lower than most other places I checked, but the quality of the lenses are top notch thus far. No glare and the hydrophobic coating is working very well. I would highly recommend Medical Centre Optical to anyone looking to get new glasses, contacts, etc.

I am a long time of this Medical Centre Optical store in Jackson Square Mall. I love this store because of knowledgeable staff with excellent customer service, specially I can get the nice frames and excellent quality lenses with the reasonable prices and with the great discount. I can get my glasses done in just around 10-15 mins. But with my progressive lenses will take me two weeks for the best quality. Honestly it is worth my time for me to come down here from Toronto (I live and work in Toronto). I feel it is lucky for customers who live close by, very convenient to stop by to get their glasses done. I wanted to say Thank You to David, the owner, and his staff for helping me choosing nice frames and offered me the great discounts. I do appreciated. I recommend this store is worth to have a visit. Poor customer service from a gentleman who works there. Went in for an eye exam and was told at the desk to find a pair of glasses to buy first before seeing the eye doctor. My intention was get a prescription then shop, however I just laughed and left. I'm not an impulse shopper when it come to glasses! It seemed they had a nice selection, but unfortunately I refuse to support a business that uses these types of pressure tactics, even though my insurance is footing the bill. Not returning there and will advise people I know not to waste their time for an eye exam at this location. Edited to add: there was a big sign saying walk-in eye exams are welcome. If it was too close to closing with someone else ahead of me, I would understand. I don't expect people to work late on my behalf. I could've returned another time or made an appointment. To be told rudely that, it's too late - find a pair of glasses and then they will do the eye exam and to be told that if I don't do that first, I shouldn't expect him to pay his staff extra to stay late. It would depend on the amount I'm spending in that moment. Who talks like this? Very strange and offensive approach to do business. I had absolutely no problem "looking around" since I needed glasses! BUT that's not what or how it was said lol Anyway, glad to see the walk-in sign has been removed :)

I bought my first pair of glasses at Medical Centre Optical 5 years ago. Best decision I ever made! I have been wearing glasses for 43 years and these were the best glasses i ever had. I recently purchased 2 pair of glasses and had updated lenses put in my sunglasses. Love them. The store offers high end eyewear and quality lenses. Fabulous selection and very friendly and helpful staff. My daughter also bought glasses here and just loves them. I tell all of my friends about them. As you can see, i can't say enough good things about them. I will never go anywhere else for glasses. The owner is very knowledgeable and has a keen eye on not only what looks good on you but also makes sure that they fit you properly. There were several issues from the start and my experience did not improve. One of the most blatantly obvious issues was that Dr. Irene Kay (refractory specialist, not optometrist for those whose insurance only covers visits to optometrists) did not act in a professional manner during my initial and subsequent visits. During my eye exam (which took about 10 minutes) she took two personal calls, and when I asked her questions about the prescription/diagnosis she gave short uninformative responses. I later returned because the glasses did not function as expected, and during this visit the doctor openly discussed confidential information with one of the opticians in the main area of the store where other customers were present. When I pointed out that she was doing this she turned to me and said that she could have simply handed over my file and not relayed any of the information to the employee. I found this to be EXTREMELY unprofessional behaviour for a medical practitioner, and I thoroughly regret coming to this store. On top of it all, the glasses I received are useless and are worse than a pair I purchased at the dollar store. This store may be convenient and may seem cheap, but the bottom line is your money is better spent on a professional optometrist who will treat you with respect, will give you all the information regarding your prescription and/or diagnosis, and will take the time needed to give you exactly what you need. Please take the time to research your optometrist!

David went above and beyond to ensure my lens prescription was customized to my needs and went as far as to come to my house (yes, an actual house call!) to check out my workstation to fully understand my optical requirements. Great store. Amazing service. Best of all the eye doctor found the cause of my headaches and gave me a prescription with a prism which solved the problem. Great diagnostic skills. I had lost my prescription sunglasses while jet skiing and I am so glad I came in to this store. Not only do I have two pairs of folding Ray bans with my prescription, but I also have a new clear pair of glasses with a feather light frame and NO MORE HEADACHES thanks to their eye doctor. You didnt ask to have poor vision so why so we have to pay so much for a genetic pre-disposition?!?! They work with you make sure you dont pay atrocious amounts of money for quality AND stylish glasses. Not sure what to say here... Can't believe this place isn't one star. I needed an eye exam as I felt as though my eyes were getting worse due to my line of work. I've always been told I had close to 20/20 vision. My entire life, I've been written the smallest prescription that's out there. I was working nearby Jackson so thought I'd try this place out as their schedule was more flexible then Lens Crafters. WRONG choice. The eye exam room is in what felt like a tiny closet (pretty sure it was a closet)... there was junk every where, not to mention, the exam consisted of me sitting on a chair and reading a small CPU monitor from across the room. My exam was under 5 minutes, which I thought was strange, and to top it all off, the person conducting my exam wrote me out TWO different prescriptions. With not so good technology, a 2 minute eye exam, the conclusion of two different prescriptions did NOT add up. One of the glasses sales people was pushing glasses on me, the glasses were NOT name brand and I was being quoted higher prices then I've ever paid in my life. The lady was ALSO not taking no for an answer, was extremely pushy. I found it hard to leave. I understand the eye exam was cheaper, but thats for lack of professional equipment, professional doctors, sales staff, or even the quality of the office and glasses in general. This place was just trying to make money off of me. I ripped up my prescription and went to a real eye exam company with real equipment.

I cannot rave enough about Medical Centre Optical! I went for my eye exam, and shortly after was greeted by David who went above and beyond in order to get me an amazing deal on the glasses I could not live without! I then purchased a new brand of contacts and ended up wanting the normal brand I usually go with. I went back and was warmly greeted by Sandra who made the process very memorable and when I needed contacts for my vacation she went out of her way to get me daily contacts so I could use while I waited for mine to come in. I never write reviews, but I am so entirely impressed with this store and my glasses! The staff are friendly and helpful. I had someone by my side helping me choose glasses for nearly an hour, and I never felt pressured or rushed to choose. I already had a pair of glasses from a different store, but the difference between my new pair and old pair is enormous - I went for the 20 coats with 2 year warranty and while it seemed pricier than I would have liked, the glass in my glasses are practically invisible - I don't even feel like I'm wearing glasses at all, they're so clean and light with zero glare! Definitely worth every single penny, along with the excellent customer service. Don't skimp on something you're going to wear every day for years! For everything you're getting (the best of the best!) I would have paid much more! Also, I got them the next day - usually you can get them the day of, which is the fastest I've ever received a pair of glasses. They were also able to tell my exact prescription just by using my old pair of glasses. Definitely the only place to go!
