New management it seems, same owner. Still feel like they really don't care about what I needed, just looking for me to spend as much money as they could. Went in looking to get some contact lenses, I was the only customer at the time. The sales lady looked up my account while speaking to another employee in Cantonese and laughing about something, I felt uneasy being there. She did suggest a healthier option but it was also triple the price of the option I was interested in. I left with the two pricing options. I ended up finding an ex-employee at their new job and got what I wanted and they even found promos for the option I wanted. So happy I don't have to go here for my optical needs.

These guys are selling what seem to be always "JUST IN" sunglasses that are older and you can get cheaper from different sources. Same models, same serial numbers and yet you are going to pay 2 times more even when they bust out that cream colored calculator of theirs. The staff is rude. When asking about Bvlgari Sunglasses the sales woman told me that they are the most expensive and directed me to the Prada and D&G Sunglasses case. Too bad they did because I had 800 bucks in my pocket burning a hole that went into another company instead of theirs. Bottom Line: Rude Service and Overpriced Shades equals a sad deal if you bought from these guys.

Incredibly rude staff. I had an older pair of sunglasses which I bought a long time ago when I lived in another city. I was referred to this store by the manufacturer as it needed repair. The employee was contemptuous, didn't clean my sunglasses after looking at them (she dirtied the lenses when handling the sunglasses), & I had to push her to get her to examine them at all. I associate "luxury" with high quality service; the employees snobbishness was oddly ironic given the cheap quality of her clothes (which contradicts the upscale image which I think that they're trying to project). There are a lot of optical stores in this city - go to a different store that actually values customer service.

I've done business here for 15 years I buy all my Maui Jim sunglasses here I get amazing prices on them very good deals they've got a great technician and optician here they do excellent work and repair work and this is the only place I buy glasses or shades in Vancouver I highly recommend

They were helpful but they only want to sell you pretty expensive things doesn't matter what you are asking for also they follow you around making sure you choose something THEY want and not what you need, I found the same pair of glasses with free anti-reflection in other store (just two blocks from here) for less than half the price here :O

These people are looking to scam. Bought a pair of YSL glasses 6 months ago. Both nose-pieces fell off. I went back to get it changed and they fixed it right away for free which was no problem. I was looking at a pair of Ray Ban Club Masters there. I wanted the large, dark lenses, with the black frame. They didn't have that exact one and kept pressuring to just buy it for $150 even though the advertised price said $235 or something like that in the 200s. He said if I bought it that day he could give it to me for that price. I said I didn't feel comfortable buying sunglasses that I didn't try on first. He kept insisting that I just imagine and pay for it. He said they would have to charge me more to order it in and they would only do that if I paid a deposit of $100 first. I said no and I could see he was visibly upset. At that point I picked up my glasses cleaner and cloth I paid $5.99 for. I walked out and they didn't even say good bye, just threw my receipt on the counter for me to pick up. Would not go back here. I hated it.

Love these guys...been going here for years and go nowhere else for my sunglasses needs. Yes, like another review said, they have artificially high prices and offer up a discount right away. That being said, generally their discount is much less than you pay at other locations, and gets even better the more you buy. Great follow up care too, always offering to clean and adjust my old pair when needed.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. They would not honor the Warranty even though my eye glasses was still under warranty. After a lengthy argument with the store manager that they should at least send my glasses in to the supplier for an evaluation. The glasses came back and the manager was unable to provide a reference number or report on why the glasses were not replaced or fixed. I have a strong feeling this store manager never even sent my glasses to the supplier for evaluation as he felt my glasses would not qualify the warranty's criteria. I am really upset at this store as my glasses are clearly under warranty.

I've been buying sunglasses here for the past 15 years. Always great customer service, good selection, good follow-up service and fair prices with negotiation. I won't go anywhere else! :)

Beware! These guys are scammers. I went to this store to buy a pair of RayBan sunglasses. Their original price on it was $275. The guy was quick to unload a discount on me "because I seemed like a nice girl". He offered to give them to me for $195 if I bought them the same day. I walked out and googled another retailer in town. They were selling the same pair for $165 and I didn't have to bargain. These guys just boost the price and make it look like they're doing you a favor by giving you a discount.

I have used Robson Optical over the past 5 years with consistent success. I must have bought 10 pairs of prescription glasses from them including sunglasses + reading glasses. Their in-house optician (Peter) is very helpful and really cares about after-sales service. Even though they are on Robson Street, they are not any more expensive than other local stores that carry top brands. TIP: If you are a local and ask for a discount, you can pay less than the sticker-price!

I was missing a nut from my sunglasses and I went to 4 different places to try and get them fixed with no luck. I ended up at Robson Optical where a gentleman by the name of Justin was able to find a nut that fit. I did not purchase anything but the customer service was still exceptional.

I had a great experience at Robson Optical. After having a less than pleasant experience at another store (Clearly Optical) as few doors down, I stepped into Robson and had the exact opposite experience. The gentleman who helped me was extremely lovely and friendly - and patient. I tried on about 20 pairs of glasses and he soon learned my style and was assisting by pulling out options he thought I may like. I'll definitely be using them again, and would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat. They also had my readers ready for pick up only hours later.

WORST service ever. Caught the sales associate Irene, cutting her hair split ends and watching something on her phone with headphones in. SO UNPROFESSIONAL, I don't understand how the manager can let her get away with such behaviour. Not only were her manners disgusting, she did not provide any service. When I walked in, I was not greeted and I saw her sitting at the back. I tried to get her attention, she looked at me and then back to her phone. I took one look at her name tag, walked out and went to Art Face next door. Thankfully, I found a nice pair of glasses there.

The RRP is very inflated, they did not offer any discount to me as review stated below. I was looking at the Ray Bans specifically, the price was atleast $100 more than the RRP on Ray Bans website. They did not have the stock and did offer to have it ordered it in, so I may as well buy it directly from Rayban. It is really hard to support local business when they either can't compete because of inflated rent or have ridiculous mark up.
